The extra rider
Alex Reiger was out and about one day in NYC and he just finished his fourth fare of the day when he spotted a little girl and she looked no more the two standing at the corner and he was going to take her back to the cab company and see where her parents were
"Hey sweetie" he says as he pulls over to let her get in his cab cause it looked like she needed a ride
The little girl just stood there cause she could not open doors or close them either
"Here let me help you" he says as he gets out and he was going to help her into the cab so she could be comfortable cause it looked like she walked for a while
Alex buckles her in of course in the front seat and he was going to let the backseat open for passengers in case he picked up more before he headed back to the cab company
"Night little one" he says as he saw that she went right to sleep especially on him
Alex drove around for a bit and got some more fares before going back
(Garage)
"Here we are little one Alex is going to carry you in and you can still sleep on him as we head in and maybe we can see about your parents" he says as he unbuckles her and gets her out of the cab
"Alex where did you get the kid at?" Tony asks him
"I found her on the side of the road somewhere and I have her bag in my cab" Alex says as he was going to turn in his envelope right now that had the money in it
Tony agrees to get the bags out for Alex since he had the little angel on his shoulder and she was sleeping like a lamb still
"Alex where did the little girl come from?" Elaine asks him
"I found her on the streets she was just standing there cold and alone, so I picked her up and she fell asleep on my lap, and I left her be of course" Alex says as he was going to sit down with her as Tony brought her bag in
"I'll call the cops to see if anyone reported her missing" Louie says from the cage
"Thanks Louie I would like that" Alex says as he felt the little girl wake up
"Hey little one" he says as she was rubbing her eyes
The little girl waves as she rubbed her eyes still and she looked around to see where she was and who was with her and Alex
"I'm Tony" Tony says as he introduces himself to her
"I'm Elaine" Elaine says to her
Latka introduces himself as well after a while
"I brought you to the sunshine cab company where we are going to see about your parents" Alex says as Elaine brought the little girl a drink and something to eat as well cause she looked famished
Alex sat her next to him and he helped her eat and drink cause she looked so little
"How old are you?" Elaine asks her
"Two" the little girl says to her
Everyone couldn't believe how old the little girl
"DO you have a name?' Tony asks her cause they wanted to know her a little bit
The little girl pointed to her bag that had some items in it
Tony opens her one bag and he finds clothes, a doll and a blanket, and he opens the other one and he finds papers on the child
"Alex she is an orphan" Tony says to him as he got out the papers that were in the other bag
"Her parents threw her on the street?" Alex asks him
"It looks like it" Tony says to him
Alex was not happy about that at all he was ready to let her parents have it, and the little girl got scared and ran to Latka
"Alex I got the police investigating her parents" Louie says to him cause Louis told the police that the little girl was found by one of his cab drivers
Alex was grateful that her parents were getting investigated and he was going to adopt her right out cause she needed a proper home
"Latka could you watch her while I go out and get a few things for her?" Alex asks him cause he had to get a bed, more clothes and toys for her
"Yeah sure Alex" Latka says as he took the little girl to the cab that he was working on at the moment cause she could pretend that she was driving as he worked on it
Alex smiles as he looked at the little girl who was happy right now cause she was getting some attention
"Alex mind if I come too?" Elaine asks him
"I don't mind at all" Alex says cause he needed a friend
Alex could not believe he was getting a second chance at being a father to her
(Later)
"How was she Latka?" Alex asks as he came back to check on her cause he had to go back on the road
"Good Alex she drew this" Latka says cause he gave her paper to draw on cause she started to honk the horn too much
Alex couldn't believe that she drew that picture and it looked like she drew the two of them together
"We need to find out her name" Elaine tells him after a while
Alex was going to see the papers that she had with her and see if she had a name as Latka held her in his arms cause she wanted to be apart of what was going on with her
"Her name is Mirabella" Alex says as he was reading her name
"Sounds like a pretty name for a pretty girl" Elaine says as she looks at the little girl that was in Latka's arms cause she was going to be Alex's daughter
"Yeah it's going to sound better with Reiger cause I'm adopting her after Cathy left there has been this void I just couldn't get out of my mind, and deep down I love her already" Alex says as he was going to take Mirabella from Latka cause she wanted her daddy
Soon the cops call and Mirabella has a baby sister that was just born, so Alex and the gang was going to head to the hospital to see the baby cause Alex was going to be a father to two girls
"Latka do you mind holding Bella?" Alex asks cause he was driving
Latka was fine holding Bella since Alex was going to be driving
