He had spent five whole days, entering dungeons and killing zombies and his hard work had paid off. He had yet to use his points on any of his stats, his source of increase coming from level ups and stat crystals.

With how weak the zombies were, it was no shock that his leveling speed slowed down to this point. His time in the dungeon was now mostly spent leveling up [Fire Magic Mastery] which was at level 52 at the moment.

He had reluctantly neglected [Alchemy] for a while. It was a choice he was proud of but for the time being, he needed enough fire power to pass the entrance exam and get the top score.

He was fairly confident that he could do it at the moment so he took the opportunity to test out [Alchemy]. He used up the few ingredients he could find at home, only managing to take the skill to level 5. At the moment, the potions he made weren't impressive but it was a work in progress.

Walking through the aisles of the store, he searched for any ingredients that could be useful, [Observe] being put to work here.

He stopped in front of a section that sold seeds. 'It's not a bad idea to be able to grow my own ingredients. It would save me a lot more money.' He thought as he put some packs of seed into the cart among the other items already inside.

'That reminds me, I haven't had a chance to test this out yet.' He thought, remembering the [Geass] perk he gained in exchange for his eyesight.

In the aisle that he was, there were only a few people around. His eyes then spotted a lone man checking out some herbal tea.

'Weirdo...' Observe a quick use of [Observe] told him that he wasn't anyone special. Walking towards him, he stopped in front of the man who looked confused at the boy.

"Can I help you?" He asked, his confusion clear as day.

"Yes, you can." Asahi said, activating [Geass] as he stared at the man. "Go over to one of the checkout points and dance like a chicken for five minutes."

Geass Check Passed (Req Int = 25, Int = 80)

"No problem." The man said simply as he walked away from him, heading to one of the checkout points.

He watched him as he walked to the one a fair distance from him before he suddenly began dancing like he was ordered.

As a small crowd formed, they didn't notice Asahi walking away with a smile on his face. 'So that's how it works. It's exactly as I remember.' He thought as he moved to one of the counters that was now free to check out the things in his cart.

Looking through the list of candidates for the practical exam, he frowned at the irregularities he found.

'Izuku Midoriya, quirkless. How does this kid expect to pass this exam?' He thought with a small scoff, now looking at a different file.

'Asahi Shinjiro, son of Pro heroes Firebrand and Gust. He was never taken registered his quirk so it's unknown if he's quirkless or not.' He couldn't help but shake his head at the number of irrational candidates that hope to become heroes.

[Health Potion]

Heals 15% of your max health

He couldn't help but be proud of himself as he looked at the vial of liquid in his hand. He spent the last two days he had left to level up [Alchemy] up to level 15.

Putting the vial in his pocket, he sent it to his inventory as he looked at the large building in front of him.

'U.A. High school...it's a lot bigger in person.' He thought as he walked past the school gate. With a raised brow he quickly noted that everyone around him was wearing their middle school uniforms.

'If I'm not wrong they're probably keeping their tracksuits in their bags.' He thought, vaguely remembering that they were seen wearing casual clothes during the actual exam.

He wore a simple white dress shirt under a black sweater, black pants and shoes of the same color. 'It's not like I'm going to be punch the robots so there's no need for those.' He thought as he walked into the building.

Following the signs, it didn't take him time to reach a large auditorium. The seats were completely packed, making him wonder how these many people fit inside.

"For all you examine listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today! Everybody say hey!" A lanky man with gravity defying blond hair that stood up straight. The headset and speaker around his head and neck gave way his identity.

'Present Mic...' He recognized as the auditorium was filled with silence despite the hero's attempt to hype them up.

"What a refined response!" He continued, not bothered in the slightest. "Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! Are you ready?!"

Once again he received a deafening silence. 'I almost feel bad for him.' Asahi though with a small smirk.

"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten minute mock urban battles after this!" Present Mic announced as the large screen behind him showed a simplistic map of the area, detailing seven different battle centers.

"You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll hear to the specified battle center, okay?"

'It looks like nothing changed so far. Good. I still have the advantage for now.' The plot being the same meant that he had a big advantage in knowing what was going to happen. Though , it didn't mean he wasn't meddle in it. What would be the point if he followed it like a sheep to the slaughter?

He looked to the exam ticket in his hand, his eyes running over the details. "Battle Center C..." he muttered before putting it away.

"Three different types of faux villain are stationed in each battle..." He tuned out the rest of the presentation as he looked to his status page.

His highest stat was Int which was at 80, the lowest being Str which was at 50. That was okay seeing as how 50 was already far higher than the average human without a strength enhancement quirk.

Using the advantage that his quirk was never registered, he would present his fire as his quirk. 'With a fire manipulation quirk, most would expect me to be physically weak. Presenting a false weakness will cause people to focus on the wrong thing should anyone attempt to harm me.' A cruel smirk came up on his face, hidden by the fact that the lights in the auditorium were dimmed.

'When they try to bypass my flames to get a hit in to take me out, they'll be in for the surprise of their lives. All as planned.' He thought as he decided on where to place his points.

He had a total of 200 points to spare seeing as how he'd never used it so far. 'To take out more robots, I'll need a lot of mana to be able to spam my skills.'

With a heavy heart, he dumped 50 points in Int, raising it to 130, pausing at the sudden increase in his MP. He threw 40 into Wis, 45 in Vit and 10 in Str, Dex and Cha, leaving him with 35 points left. He cringed as he looked it, consoling himself with the feeling of power in his body.

'This should be enough.' He thought, holding back the temptation to spend the rest and take Dex or Cha to 100.

He tuned back in just in time to hear Present Mic end his announcement, wishing them luck.

Asahi along with a crowd of teens stood in front of the entrance gate to battle center C. Just like he had concluded, they had changed into casual tracksuits, some even shirtless which he assumed was related to their quirk.

They gave him odd looks, seeing as how he hadn't changed clothing and was still in formal wear. To be honest, he preferred it to tracksuits and spandex that the heroes and wannabes seem to enjoy.

He looked around for any recognizable face, his eyes catching a few but none that were in class 1A. 'Neito Monoma, Tetsutetsu...' he recollected as he continued noting their presences, not finding anyone else of importance.

"Okay, start!" Present Mics awfully loud voice suddenly announced, drawing looks of confusion from the teens. Asahi only smirked as fire burst out from under his feet, shooting past the shocked participants.

He didn't need to look far as a large robot shot out of a building by the side.

"Target ac-" It was interrupted as a ball of fire crashed into it, quickly destroying it.

Asahi didn't slow down one bit, flying past it as more robots turned the corner, now racing towards him.

"Target Acquired!" Their mechanic voices came as Asahi's hands stretched forward, using [Flamethrower] as a stream of fire shot forward into the robots, destroying the group on contact.

Getting an idea, he shot up into the air above the model city as the robots were now visible to him. His hand swung to the side, a stream of flames racing towards a robot a fair distance away.

'[Fire Bomb]' He threw out a condensed ball of fire at a nearby robot, flying forward to find more robots.

From the corner of his eyes, he saw the unlucky contestants rushing into the city, some already looking downcast at the already destroyed robots.

Asahi didn't discriminate in which robots he took out, destroying any one that he saw as he flew above the city.

'Don't tell me...these also count?' He thought, not holding back his smirk as he was even more motivated.

"Seven minutes left!" Present Mic's voice called out loudly.

- Monitor Room -

"In this practical exam, the examinees have not been informed of the number of villains or the locations." A squeaky male voice said as the screen in front of them showed the activities going on in the various battle centers.

"They have a limited amount of time in a vast area. They have to draw the villains out from there. Information gathering ability to understand the situation before anyone else." The screen shifted to a boy with multiple arms that were webbed like a frog's feet. "Mobility that can be used in many different circumstances." The screen shifted again to show a sturdy boy with what resembled engine pipes in his calves.

"Discernment to be able to stay calm in any situation." It shifted again to show a smiling boy shooting lasers from his naval area. "And pure combat ability." The screen then shifted to a boy who floated above the city via the flames under his feet.

The boy released a large ball of fire from his palm, destroying three robots below him before flying off.

"These basic abilities needed to keep the peace in the streets are turned into points in this test." The voice was then revealed to be a small mouselike creature who sat in the monitor room amongst other heroes also seated in the room.

"Doesn't this year's group look promising?" A female voice asked only for a gruff male to shoot it down.

"Well, we can't know for sure yet." The voice said, a small glass safety box opening up on the control panel, showing a red button. "Their true test is still to come." He said, pressing the ominous looking button.

Back at the battle center, the ground shook in a manner not dissimilar to an earthquake. In the distance an explosion could be heard as a cloud of dust rose from the ground.

The whirring of giant wheels could be heard as the ground continued shaking, the walls of the nearby buildings shaking and cracking as a gigantic robot bigger than all the other ones emerged from the dust.

'The zero pointer. It's even far taller than the buildings.' Asahi noted as it smashed its metallic fist into the ground, sending debris and shockwaves at those on ground level.

"Aaaaahhhhhh!"

"Run! Run away!"

The examinees didn't waste any time in fleeing in the opposite direction of the mechanic creature of destruction.

'There's no merit in fighting this one. I'll go around it and find more robots.' He thought, flying backwards and avoiding the large hand that clawed at him.

"Help!" He looked to the source of the voice on instinct, seeing a tall teenage male stuck under the debris thrown by the zero pointer.

'How the hell did you get stuck there? You look even more muscular than Iida.' He thought in exasperation and slight disgust.

He was about to jet away when he realized something. 'Rescue points. Izuku was in this exact situation and it netted him 60 points. Add that to my already high score and this quest is as good as finished.' He thought, despite the temptation to simply leave and find other robots.

Flying out of reach of the zero pointer's limbs he drew on his mana, facing his palms towards the large robot.

'Aim for the head.' He reminded himself as his palms lit up, charging up [Flamethrower] with as much mana as possible.

He didn't have One for All's explosive power to simply punch it out of the way so he'd compensate with critical aim and flames.

His palms shone brightly, causing him to squint a bit at that. It looked like he was holding a miniature sun in his hands as he finally charged enough, releasing a powerful beam of flames that violently tore into the robot's head with a loud explosion.

*BOOOMMM!!!*

The remains of the robot shook violently, falling back to the ground with a loud sound.

'Just that alone was enough to get me three levels? No regrets here.' He thought, suppressing the grin that threatened to emerge on his face. He instead put on a tired and exhausted look as he allowed his flames to slowly sputter out as he descended to the floor.

Though, he still had around half of his MP, he needed to look like it took a lot out of him. Had there been no benefit, he wouldn't have bothered himself with saving the boy.

The same boy who was now free as he pushed the large pieces of debris off his body. 'If you could do that before then why wait until now.' Asahi thought in slight disgust.

Though he was rewarded, the sight of that was enough to trigger some disgust from him. He shook that out of his head as Mic's voice called out again.

"Time's up!" A weird siren rang out around all the battle centers, signifying the end of the exam. Just as the sirens rang out, a screen popped up in front of Asahi.

The new addition was more than welcome if it meant access to rare material or items from the game store. He first pulled out the Stat Crystals, using them immediately.

They gave a total of 5 points in Str, 5 in Dex and a whopping 15 in Cha. 'This game really like my Cha stats...' he thought in exasperation as his stats now looked uncomfortable with all the uneven numbers all round.

Spending a few stat points here and there, he rounded them up.

'That's better.' He was more than confident about his overall power being far higher than that of the main cast, not including the uncontrollable power of One for all.

Though, if it came down to a fight, he would ultimately win. 'Now for that Gacha.' He already knew he was going to have a problem with the gacha due to his slight addiction of such kind of games.

"..." he was speechless.

Completely and utterly speechless.

"Hahahahaha!" A full minute of passed as he burst into full blown laughter. 'To think my first roll would give me something like this! It's exactly what I need to further my plans and get that.' He thought with a grin on his face.

He then moved on to the Game Store. Unlike that he expected, there weren't skills for sale. No matter how much he scrolled and searched, he found that the store sold only items.

'There's even an infinity gauntlet here.' Looking at the price, he whistled before quickly scrolling past it. 'I don't think I'll be able to afford that any time soon.' He thought, trying to forget the amount of zeros he saw in the price.

He paused as his finger stopped above a section that he dreaded with his life. Gacha. There was a damned option to buy a gacha token.

He would have been happy if he hadn't discovered this feature in the first place, already seeing his future bankruptcy. It cost 500 Credits per token and only three were available to be bought per week.

'Just one wouldn't hurt...okay maybe two.' He immediately purchased two tokens.

Due to first time purchase, you have gained 1 Gacha token

'I guess that's not so bad.' He thought, consoling himself at the fact that he only had 500 credits left. Despite it being enough to buy one more, he restrained himself.
