Chapter 8

A Chat In The Rain

It has been about three or so days since Kiralexia revealed his name to the group who was playing DnD with him and a lot has changed. For one the teachers and the rest of the faculty had learned of this new change from Midoriya and many were confused. Some recognized that name but didn't remember where, while others had absolutely no idea what it meant. All Might and ErasureHead where the first to suddenly feel as if that name was more powerful than they last thought. Thus continued research into the Militia has begun at ten fold.

As for the other side of things, the whole school now knows his name and his ideas of how this society works. Needless to say that the school really has been split, between those who want to see the change of such segregation, those who don't see as that big a deal, and those who don't pick either and want to stay out of it. Principle Nezu himself sides with those with change and already some have happened, such as detention threats to those who use slurs against mutation and animal quirks, and even more punishing homework on those who are blind to it. The whole of class 1-A sides with the change, simply so they don't upset Kiralexia or Tsuyu who are the ones who back this sort of thing the most.

Overall a lot has happened since that day and even more are bound to happen. For example more info has been given by Kiralexia on the Militia, which now is slowly starting to learn that it is in fact neither a villain group nor a Hero agency. Instead it is or was a Mercenary company that was founded merely 3 or so decades after quirks began arriving. Kiralexia explained that the world back then was a lot crueler and false heroes were more common. Those false heroes ruled entire nations as sort of divine protectors. Many nations banded together to make these military forces to combat them.

This however turned to be a lot more difficult in the beginning due to a lack of cohesion. Yet that would change in a few years after they formed, they actually pushed back and won. It was looking good for them until they began losing more and more of those false heroes to fight. Thus many turned to Mercenary work, and got paid well for it. Kiralexia joined the Militia years after and basically formed a golden age within these mercenary companies.

There's more to the story as Aizawa is aware of but Kiralexia stated that he should learn that himself. Thus we are caught up mostly, as of recent it has begun to rain and classes considered canceled due to the recent events from Kiralexia. Speaking of which he has begun to wear clothes more often, only baggy pants and a tank top at most, however it's better than weeks earlier. Not to mention he's now been able to walk a little bit at a time though he wheels his wheelchair with him just in case he falls. Much better than last time, and his pain has become a bit less chipped and restored to it's original look.

Overall a much better look to him than the tired old veteran look he had earlier. However that is not the point for the point now is that it is near morning to early afternoon with rain showering the ground outside. Most of class 1-A is taking the day off just working on some of the history and physics homework Kiralexia gave them yesterday. However Kiralexia instead of being up in his room, which has been protected by a small barrier he himself gave it, he's down in the living quarters, look out the window. He looks very pleased with the rain and seems wanting something out there.

Tsuyu is also with him looking out also very pleased. It takes a few minutes of watching the rain before Kiralexia has an idea. He's been kinda cooped up inside as Mei Hatsume insists that he stays away from the rain for now. He turns over the Tsuyu and taps her shoulder getting her to look over at him.

"Would you mind if we went outside to enjoy this lovely weather?" Kiralexia asked.

"Of course I will kero kero." Tsuyu answered very happy at Kiralexia. The rest of the class that heard that was a little worried at that and Midoriya had to butt in.

"Hold on Kiralexia you remember what Hatsume said to you right?"

"Of course I do. Relax I was only going to stay on the porch to watch and listen to the rain with Tsu here."

"Well alright but just for now and please don't stay to long I'd rather not upset Hatsume."

"Ugh same that woman is viscous if angered, I learned that the hard way." Kiralexia retorted shivering a little.

After that Tsuyu would wheel Kiralexia outside with her. They would then stand outside on the porch watching the rain. They both looked very much at peace looking at the rain. Of course thunder could be heard in the distance but it didn't bother them. While Kiralexia couldn't move out in the rain, at least for now, Tsuyu absolutely could.

So she walked out and stood in the rain just letting it hit her as she embraced it. Kiralexia smiled at that as she fully accepted the rain on her. He then began to think about the past and his smile wavered a little. Tsuyu noticed and asked him what was wrong.

"It's nothing Tsu. It's just that the rain reminds me of the homeland of my brother. Rainy and cloudy, easy on the eyes really. How I miss him, I wonder how he's doing back on his homeland?"

"Knowing how tough you are, I'd say he's doing just fine kero." Tsuyu answered back with a smile. Kiralexia smirked and just looked up at the clouds once again.

"Very encouraging Tsu. You really remind me of a mother with how you act, kinda like someone I knew back in the Militia."

"Oh that reminds me Kiralexia, who is that frog man in that picture? He seems familiar to me and definitely close to you so I'd like to know, kero."

"Well first off he wasn't close to just me but almost everyone in the Militia. Secondly as for who he was, ah to hell with it, he was your Uncle."

"My uncle was a mercenary?"

"Not just that but among the highest member of it. He was like a father to some but mainly a big brother to most of the Militia. I have even called him brother before once in a while. What do you know of him Tsu?"

"Well what I thought is that he was a Pro Hero in a small local area along the coast, or a small business owner. My father never told me anything about his life or where he lives. I didn't realize why until now."

"You think you're father is embarrassed by your uncles life choices? Nah he was actually pretty understanding of it and actually helped us out from a few situations. He probably just wanted to keep you safe ya know? Keep you from pursuing such a tough life."

"Possibly however now that you mention it, maybe it was to keep him and me safe from those villains after him."

"Huh that actually makes more sense there clever Tsu. Now before you ask about his name I honestly don't fully remember what his name was. It was either Hirota or Kaito I don't remember. What I do remember is that he was like you, preferred to be called Kai instead so that's the reason I forgot and now I realize the stupidity in that statement. Oh well at least you learned it" Kiralexia said gesturing with his hands to Tsuyu.

She put a finger under her chin and began to think. First of all learning of her uncles profession was definitely not what she expected but it was nice to know. Second having learned of this she was now curious what else he knows of her uncle.

"So is that all you know or is there anything else?"

"Well I know he was a lot like you Tsu, friendly, caring, easy to read others. Like I mean easy, even the hardest to read he could tell easily what was going on inside there head. As for skills, like yours but more fast and agile. He even was able to secret a certain substance onto his skin protecting him. I can't remember what it was but it smelled horrid and was rather potent to many in the Militia. Other than that, I can't remember much else we weren't that close but I can't deny that we were friendly at least so there's that. God now I want to talk about more of the Militia and my friends in it."

"Well you can tell them to me, I promise not to tell the others if you want."

"Thanks but I think I'll hold off for now. However maybe there is another thing I can tell you about." He rolled up closer to the porch almost to the edge of it. "Tell my something Tsu, have I ever told you the tale of Pirata Lord?"

"No? Who were they?"

"I'll tell you they were me from the past before the Militia. One of my earliest lives and my favorite one at that. It goes back to a mere month after All Might's mentor finished training me and I felt lost. It was like I wanted to help but I knew I wasn't ready yet nor had much care for it. So I joined the navy on I think China, or another eastern country I can't recall. What I do remember is that my superior was a kiss ass and couldn't lead for shit so one day I had enough and plotted a coup. He was over thrown and I took the mantle of Captain. At first we hid out fleet away from the mainland to keep them off our tail. However times changed when we ran low on supplies and well you can guess what happened next." Kiralexia retorted looking back at Tsu with a smirk on his face.

Tsuyu was stunned by this tale so far. Kiralexia caused a coup just because of an incompetent leader. It sounded harsh but the fact that they didn't raid until necessary was interesting. She remained silent as to not disrupt Kiralexia from continuing the story he was telling.

"Well that raid was also my first ever battle as Pirata Lord. Before that battle I was simply known as the rogue Captain however this battle would cement my name in the history books. The Battle of The Hanann Pass, near well Hanann. It was a bloody conflict the Chinese had I believe 3 Battleships, an Aircraft Carrier and I'd say close to 10 Light Cruisers. Perhaps it was 7 light and 3 heavy I cannot recall though, what I do remember is that I was heavily outclassed and out numbered.

I had well over a dozen Corvettes, a single Battleship, 4 Light Cruisers, and only 2 Heavy Cruisers. The Battleship was my capitol ship while theirs was the Carrier, in all honesty on that day when I say aircraft fly overhead and the horizon had Chinese ships overhead I knew I was dead. But I wouldn't give up, not that easily. So I assessed the situation and came up with a plan. It was fool hardy even unlikely but it was the best thing I could think of. The first thing I did was have three Corvettes bait a few of the greedier admirals on those ships to attack. Once done I'd have my Battleship and 2 Heavy Cruisers attack and destroy them. Once done I'd practically order a suicide with my Corvettes targeting that Carrier. they'd distract it while my Light Cruisers came from one blind spot and flank them. As for the Battleships, god have mercy on me." Kiralexia explained the battle plan in great detail to Tsuyu.

Tsuyu was entranced by the story and suddenly remembered the battle. The debut of the sea villain Pirata Lord, in fact Pirata Lord was something she remembered learning in school a few years back. While he was viscous he showed compassion to the masses, some even considered him an honorary hero. However one thing she had to ask as she didn't remember how that plan went out.

"So how did the plan go?"

"Fantastically. I didn't loose a single ship in that engagement only minor damage to the Corvettes and Light Cruisers. They had lost almost all of there Cruisers, 2 Battleships with the third being in critical condition. As for the Aircraft Carrier, I captured it and turned it into my own docking area for aircraft's I'd take. For now it was just a big ass supply ship. That battle is remembered to this day as a miracle victory from the Pirata Lord, and wouldn't be the last. However I may have forgotten some specifics on that battle and another days after, I still remember one thing. The smoke in the air, fire burning on ships and the ash and soot falling onto my hands staining them. Bloodshed was large and screams as ships sank into the ocean. Something to truly remember for the ages Tsu."

"I can see that, it's hard to remember somethings but now I'm curious. Just what did you do in that life, I only remember bits, perhaps you can explain it Kero?"

"Well for one I did what other pirates did, pillage and plunder, along with just making the life of the Elite miserable. Many ports I took and made into little dockyards for my growing fleet. Eventually I would take islands off the Philippines and Indonesia forming a pan Pirate Federation. I'd gain many comrades and some would become high ranking members in the Federation. I would raid the Japanese coastline but not much for I felt more wealth elsewhere in the world. Yet as fast as I rose I soon found myself board of what was going on. So I turned to my first mate and decided I'd make him the new Pirata Lord. I told him after one last mighty battle he'd become the new leader. Thus with the battle of Iron Wing beginning with cannons firing, fires burning and blood a spilling. Once it ended I turned to me crew and told them I was retiring and giving command to my first mate. I still remember the cheers after I said 'The Pirata Lord never dies.'." Kiralexia answered putting his hand out to feel the rain on his hand.

Upon saying this Kiralexia looked a little sad. Perhaps it was the fact he never saw that man again, or perhaps it's from something else with that. Tsuyu on the other hand could already tell what it was and had to speak up on it.

"From what I can tell, that transition didn't last?"

"No, only a little over a decade and the Federation I built from scratch fell apart. My own right hand man wasn't able to hold it together and lost most of it. However from what I can tell, he owns the largest fleet from the split up so he still holds power. I simply wish that Pirata Lord didn't become just some title for a pirate on the seas, but a real name to fear across the seas. I do hope my right hand man can achieve that."

"He's a villain though, he would kill innocent live to-"

"Ah ah ah not exactly. For one he's only ever raided for small amounts and only targets the rich like I did. Second he's generous and tries to keep civilians and Pro heroes out of his battles. Finally just because he's a pirate does NOT mean he's a heartless psycho."

"Alright so he's not a villain, I should've guessed since you are technically both sides of that coin."

"Ya AND the fact that you are on the side of progress within this school. I will allow this comment for now, but don't make it again."

"Okay hey now I must ask, what is your first mate name kero?"

"I suppose that if, no, when you meet him it will be good to know. Even if he has shown up on the news more often, though I guess that's elsewhere instead of Japan. His name I gave him which he stuck with is Golden-White Jack. Inspired by Calico Jack of Colonial Piracy fame. Keep his name in mind, for it will help with diplomacy with him."

"Don't worry I won't forget his name." Tsuyu answered noticing Kiralexia's warm smile look up at the sky. "You find this conversation comforting kero, don't you?"

"Yes it's nice to finally talk to you like this without the others prying in. I enjoy all of your company, mostly, but you're different. With you I feel at peace, I feel like I can share this without being hated for it. I must thank you for that comforting thought Tsu."

"Well I feel very happy that you think that of me kero." Tsuyu answered with a smile on her face.

Kiralexia joined in with the smile and continued to look at the rain. Thoughts poured through his head as he watched. His smile slowly shrinking into a sad looking smile instead. Kiralexia looked down as he thought more of the past, something back then seemed to ache him, deep in his heart. Tsuyu noticed and asked him what was wrong. Kiralexia looked up with a hopeful smile on his face at Tsuyu.

"It's nothing Tsu, just something of the past that hurts to remember. I'll be fine I promise."

"Don't lie to me Kiralexia, I know that look. Does this have something to due with the Militia?"

"Observant, but no, similar but not the same thing. Not by a long ways."

"Wait, is this about when we talked about Toga yesterday?"

"How would you guess that?"

"Well when we mentioned her you seemed, upset. Immediately going up to you room is also a good hint as well, kero. So what's your relationship with her?"

"That was fast to guess I knew her. But yes, I do know her and as for our relationship. We were, close. How I miss her little smile and cheery attitude, it hurts knowing she's gone with the one who murdered me. I still don't know whether she truly hates me or is clueless of me, either way it hurts. I just want to see her again to say that, I'm sorry. For everything I did, I am sorry little one."

"She's a villain but if you care for her then, I guess if she finds you we won't attack right away."

"What makes you think she'd find me first?"

"The news has been rather loud about you existence not to mention I think you yourself have been vocal outside of UA kero." Tsuyu responded making Kiralexia nervous.

He was making vocal transmissions to news stations as a sort of message to his old friends he's alive. However he hides it just in safety and out of fear. Except for the last one two days ago, that one was for the closest to him to find. He planned on telling UA this but lost time and was afraid of there reaction.

"Okay listen here Tsu, I only did it because I was tired of what those bastards on the news stations were speaking about me. Plus it was only recently that I've done it. Please you must understand my situation that I was in, I only wanted to get rid of the false rumors really."

"You know being a whistle blower for yourself is one thing, but not telling us will hurt your relationship with the teachers. However I think we all understand plus most of what you've said is only small things, nothing big so it's good kero."

"Thank you Tsu, rest assured this will only be until I'm allowed outside of UA or when I can find my old friends, curse that damn war for forcing them into exiles."

"When the time comes Kiralexia, we'll help you find them. Now come on let's get back inside, kero."

"You go on ahead I'll stay out a little longer Tsu. I just want to have some peace here for now." Kiralexia responded looking up at the sky.

Tsuyu agreed and went in while Kiralexia sat outside on the porch. He felt at peace right until he thought of the Militia. Of his friends and family, his brother and Toga. Poor little Toga how he missed her so much. He wish he could turn back the clock to make sure she was safe. That she was under his protection from the worlds cruel gaze. He felt the rain on his face yet it was strange. He didn't remember the rain tasting salty.

He did remember the one thing of looking at Toga one last time before leaving for the Emerald Harbor. He sighed and looked at the sky one last time before turning around and going in. Yet not without quietly whispering before. 'We will see each other again little one.'. once inside he would spend the rest of his time hanging out with class 1-A. Unaware that the League was preparing something for him to. The rain would be least of his worries.
