Chapter 77: When You Wish Upon a Star Pt. 1

Two months following the Brotherhood doing good deeds around Bayville, Johan was relaxing in his shared house with Bast, the catwoman looking nine months pregnant and ready to give birth soon. The green streaked man ran a hand over her belly, a smile on his face as his wife purred.

"We're gonna be parents, soon." He said, sounding both excited and nervous.

"Our baby girl is just about ready to enter this crazy world…" Bast smiled back as she laid her head on his chest. "Speaking of, I think I finally decided on a name." She added.

"Hm… What would that be?" The cyborg questioned.

"Ariel." The catwoman replied. "It means "Lion of God" in both Hebrew and Arabic. I wanted to give her a faith neutral name in case she wanted to follow the catholic faith instead of Islam." She added. "I want her to feel like she has a choice with how her life goes." She continued.

"That sounds wonderful." Johan nodded with a smile. Bast was about to say something when her eyes widened. "What's wrong?" The man asked in concern.

"You know how I said that our baby girl is 'almost' ready to come into this crazy world?" She asked, causing her husband to nod. "Well, scratch that. It looks like she's ready." She told him.

"Get in the car!" He exclaimed as he helped his wife to the car and dialed the hospital she ran and alerted them that Bast was going into labor along with telling them to have a team on standby.

(Later)

The location was the very same clinic that Bast and Dr. Samson Marks were the heads of, and the X-men as well as Bast's brothers and mother were currently in the waiting room as the catwoman went into labor. It had been like this for three hours so far. Johan in particular looked really concerned about her.

"Easy, bro. She'll be fine." Katerina told her brother.

"I still don't understand why I can't be there with her." Johan said in worry.

"It's standard procedure, Johan, they need to make sure she gets through the first few sets of contractions first without any distractions. They'll call you when that's done." Hank told him. He was currently reading a copy of life magazine.

"... Fine." The cyborg sighed reluctantly. He waited, but his concern for his significant other was nigh impossible to contain. He looked like he was about to start panicking, and when the first sets of Bast's contractions went by and the doctors called for him to enter, he all but sprinted to his lover's side and held her hand as she cried out in pain.

"Johan, it hurts!" Bast cried in agony as she fought through another wave of indescribable pain.

"I'll be here with you! You're not alone!" Johan told her encouragingly. Another contraction hit the Gazan catwoman, causing her to cry out in pain and grip Johan's hand tightly. The man winced, but refused to turn off his pain receptors. After around three more contractions, it was time for Bast to push.

"Okay, Bast! Push in three, two, one, now!" Samson instructed, causing her to do so and she let out a scream before a baby's crying filled the room. Bast let out a tired and relieved sigh as she released Johan's hand while one of the doctors took the baby to get cleaned after cutting the umbilical cord.

"There you are our little angel." Johan said as he was handed the mewing baby girl after she had been cleaned and swaddled in a pink blanket.

Bast sighed as she laid back, the pain meds finally kicking in and ebbing away at her pain, allowing her to look at her daughter as Johan sat next to her.

The little girl was tiny, like all newborns, but she had slightly larger hands than most babies her age, as well as white hair and two little cat ears on her head. Her eyes were also catlike as well and were the same color as Bast's, and she had a white furred feline tail sticking out of her blanket.

"Fatima?" Samson said as he walked up to the couple. "There's something you should know about your daughter. While we were bathing her, we noticed something about her that was… off." He began.

"Off how?" The new mother asked tiredly. Samson slowly unraveled the blanket as Johan held Ariel in his lap, revealing that the little girl… was practically missing her legs!

"She… Has no legs beneath the knees." The man revealed, much to the couple's shock and dismay.

"How… How is this possible?" Johan questioned.

"Possibly a genetic defect, it's unclear what the exact cause was. However I'm confident that we can outfither with artificial legs of varying designs and sizes as she grows. That way she'll be used to them and it'll be like her legs were never missing at all." The doctor told them.

"Good." Bast sighed. "Can the others come in to see her?" She asked.

"Of course. But first I'd advise you to take a nice long shower and then rest, the three of you. You all have been through quite the ordeal today." He replied.

"Of course." Johan nodded as he handed Ariel to the nurses to be put with the other babies for the time being and Bast continued resting so she could finish the IV and have it removed before taking a shower.

(Later)

It was evening and everyone was waiting at the doorway to be let in to see Bast, Johan and Ariel. Chelsea and the rest of her friends in particular were really itchy about it. So were the catwoman's family but they knew that she was fine. Chelsea and company went in first since a few of them were excited to see Ariel, but when they did, that died a little.

"Uh, where are her feet?" Kai asked in concern, which was shared among the others.

"Oh shit, they didn't have to amputate did they?" Chelsea gasped, covering her mouth.

"Oh heavens, no! She was born without them." Bast replied, looking much better than she did a short while ago. "And watch your language around my daughter." She added with a small glare.

"I'm not sure she's able to understand us, sis." Ali, Bast's youngest brother, said with a chuckle. Ariel meanwhile continued to look at everyone with curiosity in her eyes, which turned to confusion when she saw Drake and Damian coming up to her.

"She looks so precious." Bast's mother, Sarai ocoed in a loving tone. "What did you decide to name her?" She asked.

"We named her Ariel. We want her to feel like she has a choice in what faith she chooses to follow." Bast replied with a smile, Johan nodding in agreement before he spotted Drake and Damian standing near his daughter.

'What are they doing?' He wondered. He quickly got his answer.

"New friend!" Damian cheered as Drake transformed into his dragon form and roared in excitement as they looked at Ariel. The gesture, despite being new, made the newborn cat girl giggle happily before looking at Drake in wonder.

The dragon toddler wagged his tail happily as Damian tossed him three balls, which he started balancing on his snout while standing on his hind legs in an effort to entertain the other baby again… only for him to trip on his own tail and fall down, the three balls bonking him on the head as Damian started laughing.

It obviously had some success since the kitten girl was giggling and clapping her hands. This made everyone else laugh as well, turning this into a very happy occasion.

(A few weeks later)

Late December soon came to Bayville and everyone was yet again getting ready for Christmas again. Speaking of, Chelsea was busy talking to her brothers on the phone.

"A family trip to Florida? I mean, that sounds like it could be great, getting away from this cold and all. Plus the kiddos have been dying to see you guys since last year." The blonde pondered. "But where would we go?" She asked.

Meanwhile in his room, Gavin was talking to his newest potential sponsorship partners. Who would that be, you ask? Disney. After the boy's company reached its international level of trade, the mega company wanted to have X-Tremade be the newest of its many partners.

And to sweeten the deal? They offered to bring the entire Institute for an all expenses paid two week trip to Disney World and its resorts.

"Well, sir. I think that's a wonderful idea. I'll let the gang all know. Hopefully they'll agree that this is a good idea." The pseudo vampire said before he hung up and then pulled out a megaphone from underneath his desk. "Rogue and kids, get in here! We're going to Disney World!" He exclaimed into the device.

The door stayed still for a moment before it opened and both Laura and Rogue poked their heads in.

"Disney World?" They asked. Then Gabby, Drake and Damian suddenly smashed their heads through the door.

"Disney World?!" They exclaimed in delight.

"Disney World!" Gavin repeated with a grin.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Chelsea yelled from down the hall.

"Fuck!" Damian parroted, causing Gavin and Rogue to go stiff before they shared a look.

"Fuck!" Drake added before both boys started rolling on the floor laughing.

"... You know what needs to be done." The southern bell said seriously.

"That I do." Gavin nodded before turning into smoke and blitzing to where Chelsea was. After a moment passed…

*SMACK!*

"OW! What was that for?!" They heard the Dragoness yell.

"FOR TEACHING DAMIAN AND DRAKE HOW TO SWEAR!" Gavin yelled back in obvious displeasure.

The dragoness then clocked him in the head, causing a bump to form before it healed. "I don't see how that gives you the right to hit me." She snapped. "... Wait, did you just say that Drake cussed?"

"Yeah." He nodded, rubbing his head.

"Like mother like son I guess…" The woman sighed. "I learned how to cuss when I was his age from my brothers." She states.

"Okay, I'll let the one about Drake go, but not the one about Damian!" Gavin conceded before adding that last part with a hiss.

"How was I supposed to know they'd hear me?!" She questioned. "Anyway… What's all this about Disney World?" She asked.

"Oh, Disney's offered us an all expense paid two week trip to Disneyworld since they want X-Tremade to be their new partner." The boy replied.

"Huh. Funny you should mention that, but I just found out from my brothers that my family is going on a trip just like that at the same time for Christmas vacation." Chelsea noted.

"Oh wow. This feels like a massive family vacation that way." Gavin chuckled at the timing. "So do you think that you and Logan would be up to going?" He asked her as they walked down the hall.

"Honestly? Not really. The excessively happy atmosphere of the theme park would just annoy me and Logan to no end. Plus I'm still not too fond of being around kids." She said before realizing how that sounded. "Don't get me wrong I love my kids unconditionally but other people's kids…" She continued.

"No, I get it. It's just not your scene. I guess your sessions with Emma couldn't change everything." The boy shrugged. "Not that it needed to, that is."

"Now if you guys are planning the trip to make it enjoyable for all of us and the kids were begging us to go?" The dragoness continued. "I'd be willing to go, pretty sure Logan would too. He can't say no to his little girls and boy." She chuckled.

"I bet, and I think… Scratch that, can hear them begging Logan to go right now." Gavin chuckled as his hearing picked up the kids begging Logan right now.

"... Well, guess I better pack my travel bottle of Jose Quarvo tequila then." The woman said as she followed the pseudo vampire to the scene of Gabby, Kai, Pele, Drake, and Damian begging Logan to come with them.

"What for?" He asked her.

"To dull my senses. Logan and I are at serious risk of sensory overload in a place like that. Laura, Gabby and Drake are the same way, but they're young enough to where it won't affect them nearly as badly." Chelsea explained. "Like the worst thing that could happen with Drake, for example, is if he gets tired from all the new stuff bombarding his senses and falls asleep."

"What about Gabby and Laura?" The young CEO asked.

"Well I'm not entirely worried about them because Laura's been living here for so long that a theme park is going to be a cakewalk for her." The blonde replied. "Gabby on the other hand, she spent most of her life bouncing around in Spanish speaking countries and was always around bustling streets and food with outrageous smells. I doubt it'll bother her at all."

"Yeah, that's fair." Gavin shrugged as they continued talking about the trip, the kids were slowly trying to wear down Logan.

"Please Daddy? Please come with us! Grandma and Grandpa are going there with the rest of the family at the same time!" Gabby begged, tugging on his arm.

"Gabby's kinda right, it wouldn't be a family trip without you." Laura added off to the side. Drake meanwhile was dangling from his dad's neck, nuzzling into it and whimpering.

"We miss you daddy." He whimpered as Logan held him up with one arm. The man looked like he wanted to say no, but he really couldn't.

"... Alright." He conceded, causing the kids to cheer. "What the hell did I just get myself into?" He groaned.

Meanwhile with the Severs, the two were with their significant others at Johan's place. Ariel was taking a nap in her new crib when Johan got a call from the Institute.

"Hey, Gavin. What's up?" He asked. "A Disney World trip? Whoa that sounds great." He said in surprise. "Yeah, It'd be the perfect opportunity for Ariel to have a lot of her firsts." He nodded. "Great. We'll get some tickets." He said before hanging up.

"Disney World?" Romano asked in intrigue.

"Yep. Get your things packed. Time for a vacation." Johan told the others.

"This should be good, I've never been there before." Bast noted.

"Neither have I, actually. This should be fun." Romano nodded in agreement.

(Elsewhere)

In the Magic Kingdom section of Disney World, a man in a red suit and a full face mask with two red spots on the eyes was sitting at a table having one of the many specialty drinks that the park had to offer.

This man was the infamous Merc With a Mouth, the insufferable Regenerating Degenerate, and just all around jackass… Wade Fucking Wilson, aka Deadpool.

"Ah, Disney. Home to some of the best stuff out there." The merc sighed in content before turning to face someone at the other end of the fourth wall. "So what's the plan for today, boys? Hope it doesn't involve any of that drama we had to deal with last time."

[Don't worry. It's better than last time. We think you'll like it.] The co-author replied.

[You'll also get some help. Speaking of…] The author added.

It was at this point that a squirrel came up to him and started munching on the peanuts he had with him.

"Oh hey, Tippy Foot! How ya been, little dude?" The mercenary asked the squirrel right before a girl around Rogue's age dropped into the seat in front of him.

The girl was a brunette with short hair, small squirrel ears, green eyes and a bushy tail, a button-like nose and slightly bigger than average front teeth, as well as freckles on her fair skinned face. She was wearing a brown vest with an acorn on the back, a green skin tight long sleeve shirt, brown leggings, green shorts, and brown boots. Her figure was fairly average, giving her C-cups like Kitty, but her most striking features were her wide hips and big squishy ass.

"Hey, Wade. Wazzup?" The girl greeted energetically.

"Not much, Squirrel Girl. Haven't seen hide or hair of those kidnappers yet." The man said. "What about you? Have you and your chippy friends see anything?"

"We think we've seen them a couple of times, but nothing concrete." Squirrel Girl replied as she ate some peanuts.

"Well, we better find them soon. Or else all those poor little kids are gonna be put through who knows what in ol mother Russia." The merc stated.

"Took the words right outta my mouth." The girl nodded in agreement.

Dragon Emperor0: Here's The first part to our little replacement for Target X. So if you guys are fans of Deadpool, Squirrel Girl and the Winter Soldier, then I think you'll enjoy these two parts.

ThermalsniperN7: Yeah. And if you guys can spot the reference within, you're awesome. Also, YAY! Johan and Bast are parents!

Dragon Emperor0: That leaves only… Three kids, I think? Until half of the main cast of the sequel is here. Speaking of let us know if we should include the Gargoyles, and the Xanatos family in any future chapters.

TgermalsniperN7: Yeah. We don't wanna leave them out entirely. Anyway, see you guys next time.
