After Mowgli and Shanti got back on the ground Shanti pushed Mowgli's hands off her backpack.

Shanti: Okay put me down.

But suddenly the jackals returned and were ready to attack them.

Shanti: No! Pick me up!

So Shanti got on Mowgli's back as Mowgli grabbed onto more vines and swung into more trees as Shanti looked back at the jackals. But a jackal bit onto Shanti's purple skirt and she got out a stick to hit the jackal on the head and the jackal let goed on the skirt and fell into a muddy river. As Shanti laughed at the jackal's misery she landed on a tree branch and she was slipping and was about to fall to the ground where all the jackals were waiting hungerly.

Shanti: Wait! Don't go! Come back! I'm slipping!

As Mowgli turned around he shook his head in disappointment as if he was saying oh boy. Soon Mowgli turned around and grabbed Shanti by the hand and they went up in the air and they landed in a large hollowed log of a tree. Then they went inside and they went down and down the tree as if it was like a fun water slide at a waterpark. Then they went flying into the air as Shanti held on to Mowgli as Mowgli grabbed the vine and slide down it as if it was like rope as his hand was burning. Soon they landed in a tree but all the giant branches were falling down on them. As Shanti watched in horror as she still held on tight to Mowgli as he jumped from branch to branch until finally stopping at the one big branch that broke and all the branches came crashing down on the jackals. As they looked down they knew they were safe and sound. But as Mowgli looked down breathing heavily Shanti silently slipped away. And when Mowgli turned around he found out Shanti was gone. Now Shanti was on the back edge of the tree escaping from the boy who saved her life.

Shanti: Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I'm up in a tree with a boy my age who just saved my life from a pack of wild man eating jackals.

As Shanti found a tree with a large branch with shady leaves she then looked down at the very long ground below as she gulped in fear. But she then placed her foot on the other side of the tree.

Shanti: Oh dear me. I can't do this because i'm afraid of heights. But I can do it. I'm just gonna get to that other side and relax on that branch. I know this is good. This is very good indeed. Now on the count of three i'll get onto the other side. Now one two three!

Then Shanti got on the other side but she lost her balance and placed her hands on the side of the branch. And now she had a very discouraged look on her face. She was scared worried and tired all at the same time.

Shanti: Oh my head hurts really badly. Man. I just hope it will go away. But it just can't even get any worse then this can it?

And as Shanti said that thunder was heard and it was pouring very hard rain.

Shanti: Well obviously I guess it really can get any worse.

As Shanti sighed in complete control she then looked down and gasped and she saw Mowgli staring at her being curious. Shanti then screamed.

Shanti: Ah! No please!

Then Mowgli pushed Shanti onto the other branch in the leavy shade. Shanti then came to her senses as she saw Mowgli come near her.

Shanti: No! Stay back. Please no don't. Don't come any closer. Please don't.

Then Mowgli examend Shanti's feet. He then touched it and played with it. Then Shanti started to laugh.

Shanti: Hey. What are you doing? (laughing) No please don't. That tickles. (laughing)

As Mowgli continued touching Shanti's foot he then grabbed Shanti's purple skirt.

Shanti: No no. Get off. Get off now!

Then Shanti kicked her foot right into Mowgli's face. As Mowgli felt dazed he regained himself.

Shanti: Well now it sure does serve you right. Now you please stay away from me like a very good wild jungle boy.

But Mowgli didn't even listen to her. He just wanted to get closer to the girl he was quite fond about.

Shanti: You stay. I'm warning you. My own mother won't take it kindly to you..

Then Mowgli got too close to her.

Shanti: No. That's.. Now that's close enough.

Then Mowgli placed his hand on Shanti's cheek.

Shanti: Hey! How dare you...!

But when Shanti tried to slap Mowgli with her right hand Mowgli then grabbed her wrist.

Shanti: (Gasps) Huh? Wha..?

Then as Mowgli looked at her hand he placed Shanti's right hand with his right hand made them match. Soon Mowgli and Shanti starred at their hands seeing that were both alike. Mowgli then looked at Shanti's beautiful brown eyes. Then Mowgli came a bit closer to her.

Shanti: Ohh! (gasps) I'm.. Uh..

And then Mowgli placed his ear on Shanti's breasts and he then started to listen to her beautiful slow heartbeat.

Shanti started feeling a tiny bit uncomfy taking deep breaths. But she was actually starting to like it and a lovestruck smile crept on Mowgli's face as he kept on listening to the sound of Shanti's beating heart. After two to three minutes of listening to her heartbeat had passed Mowgli removed his ear from Shanti's breasts and then he put Shanti's head and placed her ear on Mowgli's chest so this time she can hear Mowgli's own heartbeat.

Shanti: Oh my. Oh my oh my oh my.

Then after another two to three minutes later of listening to Mowgli's heartbeat a special lovestruck smile came onto her face. Then she moved her head away from Mowgli's chest and smiled.

Shanti: Oh yes thank you very much. It's a lovely heartbeat of yours and i'm sure you really enjoyed mine. It's actually very nice.

As Mowgli felt touched he finally spoke.

Mowgli: It really was very nice.

Shanti: Oh why thank you. And as far as I know by mind I know that I just can't do a thing with it in this whole humidity though. It's...

Then Shanti's eyes went wide as she heard the boy spoke.

Shanti: Holy Mackerel! You you do talk. Well all this time i thought you were just a young wild quiet silent teenage jungle boy. So why the heck didn't you tell me you spoke. I must say I'm rather quite curious as to who you are. But we haven't even introduce ourselves yet. My name is Shanti. What's your name?

Mowgli: Mowgli. Do you live in a village?

Shanti: Yes. But back when i was a very little girl me and my family left the village because a tiger with orange and black striped fur killed all of the people including my father. Only me my mother and my mother's friend and her son Ranjan and a man named Buldeo were the only ones who left. Then a brother of Buldeo's took his young son into a cave and the tiger killed him and the little boy disappeared into the jungle and nobody never ever saw him again.

Mowgli: (gasps) Shere Khan.

Shanti: You know that tiger?

Mowgli: Yes and he killed my father and my father used the burning red flower to burn his face. The little boy was actually me. And Bagheera who's a black panther found me.
Shanti: Wow. A black panther. What does he do?
Mowgli: He's my mentor and my teacher and he tells me about the rules which i have to follow since i don't like following rules. But he's my friend and i care for him . I live with a pack of wolfs and i also have a friend named Baloo who's a sloth bear. And he's friendly too.

Shanti: A sloth bear? Very interesting.

Mowgli: Indeed.

Shanti: Wow. You're friends with a black panther and a sloth bear and live with a pack of wolfs. That sounds awesome! I myself don't like the rules as well. And you were really the boy who vanished. You were very brave living in the jungle.

Mowgli: I know. I tried my best to be like everyone else when i know i'm a human.

Shanti: So what happened to that tiger whom you call Shere Khan?

Mowgli: Well he killed Akela who was the leader of the wolf pack. So i stole a torch from a different village and i challenged him to a duel. But i accidentally set the whole jungle on fire so when Baloo Bagheera my mother wolf joined me we all fought him and i lured him into a trap and Shere Khan fell into the burning fire and he died. So the elephants and I put out the fire and the jungle was all nice and lush and green again.

Shanti: That's great. Also i just wanted to say thank you for saving me from those jackals. You're very brave indeed.

Mowgli: No problem.

Soon it stopped raining and the sun peeked out behind the clouds.

Mowgli: Hey look at that. It just stopped raining.

Shanti: Yes it did. So Mowgli can you please take me back to my family?

Mowgli: Sure but grab on to me because it's gonna be a wild ride.

So Shanti grabbed hold of Mowgli and Mowgli grabbed a vine and they went off swinging from tree to tree.
