As a couple days went on Mowgli started to learn about the stuff people do. He learned how to read books and pronounce the words and learned to draw pictures on paper with a pencil and a pen. Then Shanti showed Mowgli a collection of film footage about people and what kind of clothes they wear and use several things that they do like being polite learn manners and lots of other stuff. He also got to try new things to eat like chicken ham turkey and other types of good things to eat. Then Mowgli took Shanti to the jungle to look at all the most beautiful and exciting things to see in the jungle. They saw a whole flock of birds and they saw the blue skies and all the animal friends that Mowgli knew and he was enjoying it. And even Shanti was starting to like Mowgli so much they both started to fall in love with each other. And Mowgli was very happy. But his friends Baloo and Bagheera were starting to miss their friend and so did Grey. They tried to make a drawing of Mowgli on a large rock but it wasn't fun talking to a picture on a rock. They also gathered for the water truce but it was not the best without their friend. And even at night time they missed having Mowgli sleeping with them.
Later in the afternoon Shanti was teaching Mowgli how to do stuff that humans do. She taught Mowgli how to read books, she taught him how to draw and paint, and she taught him how to cook and eat and use silverware, and she even taught him how to write. A couple hours have past and Mowgli saw a record player and was quite curious about what it does.
Mowgli: What's that?
Shanti: That's a record player. It plays music.
Mowgli: What kind of music?
Shanti: Well it can play classical music. This plays The Beautiful Blue Danube. Would you like for me to teach you to dance to it?
Mowgli: Um sure. I never danced before.
Shanti: Well I'll show you.
So Shanti put the record on the record player and the record started playing The Blue Danube. Then as the music started Shanti placed her hand on Mowgli's shoulder and Mowgli placed his hand on Shanti's hip. Then the two teenagers danced slowly and then they started to bond and something wonderful happened between them. They just found love. The music was heard all over the jungle. And Baloo and Bagheera heard it and they followed the music to where Shanti was teaching Mowgli how to dance. Then a lovestruck smile came over their faces.
Baloo: Isn't that nice? Mowgli and his new friend danced.
Bagheera: It's very nice Baloo. In fact it was wonderful. I haven't seen couples dance since I was a black panther cub being taken care by a couple. They danced to the music called The Beautiful Blue Danube. And that's before I met you Baloo. When i was a cub i hurt my left paw and i was miles away from my mother. And the young couple who came from America took me over to their place. They took care of me until I was better. Then one night they were dancing to the song in a slow dance and i was amazed. Then as soon as i felt sad the couple let me go back into the jungle. And to this day I still remember the couple dancing. So seeing Mowgli and Shanti dance makes me happy.
Baloo: Wow. That's the greatest story I ever heard.
By then it was nighttime. And Mowgli left the campsite and he promised Shanti he would be back in the morning. But when Mowgli came back Baloo and Bagheera were not very happy to see him come back.
Baloo: Kid. You've been gone for so long we were worried about you.
Mowgli: What are you saying?
Bagheera: Baloo and I are thinking your soending too much time with that girl.
Mowgli: But Shanti is the best girl i ever saw, And she's the only girl i ever saw and i never got to tell her how i felt about her.
Baloo: Now look kid. We know you're in love with this girl but we miss having you around.
Bagheera: So maybe we thought you should stop seeing her again.
Mowgli: But i have to see her. She likes me. I'm even gonna leave the jungle and go live with them in the man village.
Bagheera: I'm sorry Mowgli. But we think you're done seeing her. And we know you do belong with other humans but we still need you because we care about you.
Well Mowgli was very angry that his friends wouldn't let him see Shanti again. And so he told his friends that he's better off with Shanti and he even wished he never would've met his friends in the first place. As he turned his back on them Baloo and Bagheera walked off feeling rejected. The next day it was very early in the morning and at the wolf pack Mowgli got up and went to go see Shanti. As time went on Bagheera and Baloo found out Mowgli disobeyed their orders and they went off to bring Mowgli back home. The two friends got there long before Mowgli did and as they got there they hid in the tall leafy bushes they heard Shanti and her mother talking.
Shanti: But mom why do i have to tell him?
Sundar: Well i gave it some thought and Buldeo and I decided you should marry his nephew Farhan.
Shanti: But why do I have to marry him?
Sundar: Because sweetie he's the perfect boy for you. And he's waiting for you at our new village. And soon we'll leave the jungle and tell your jungle boy friend we say goodbye.
Well as Baloo and Bagheera heard about it in surprise they ran off into a different part of the jungle.
Baloo: Did you hear that Bagheera? Shanti already has a boyfriend! And she's marrying him!
Bagheera: Yes Baloo. I heard what her mother said. That girl has played a mean trick on Mowgli.
Baloo: Why would she ever do that to the kid?
Bagheera: Because she's trying to make her new boyfriend jealous so he can have her back.
Baloo: Well how are we ever gonna tell Mowgli about this?
Bagheera: No Baloo. We shouldn't tell him. If we did then it will make him feel very very sad.
Baloo: Even more sad than ever?
Bagheera: Yes. So we should let him find out for himself. Come on let's go back to the wolf pack.
Soon the two friends went back to the wolf pack knowing that Mowgli was going to find out about this sooner or later.
