Chapter 32

The Return Home

It was dark with red lights flaring everywhere and Kiralexia was gasping for air. He looked around and saw the lights blare, and sirens going. He looked down at his hands and saw blood, dripping from them and a man in a lab coat with there chest torn apart. He began to breath heavily and ran away from the scene as he ran the hallways got longer and more suffocating to move through. He then heard it, a booming voice, deep and sinister calling out to him, calling him by his dead name. He turned to see a large figure in a lab coat moving towards him slowly. He shook his head and ran faster but each step only had the figure move closer. He saw the figures right arm torn off blood dripping from it and the dark face had blood on the left side pooling out to the floor. The figure grabbed him and there piercing white eyes stared him down as wires snaked around there head and connected to his own. He pleaded for it to stop only to feel an electric shock course through him and he screamed as it went through his body. Then a new voice called around one feminine and desperate even, the figure disappeared as Kiralexia opened his eyes to see the room he was in.

Just a nightmare, a horrid one at that, but still a nightmare. He realized he was still on the plane to I-Island with Mei Hatsume sitting next to him outside the window side. He looked at her before feeling his face and realizing sweat was on it. Hatsume had a look of concern on her face as Kiralexia gave a bit of a solemn look down to his own feet.

"Are you okay, you seemed distressed there."

"Ya just, bad memories of home, and here I am going back to it. Oh boy this will NOT be pleasant to come back to."

"I know you said I-Island was your home but what makes you hate it so much. Besides mistreatment and using you as a guinea pig." Hatsume said with Kiralexia only scoff slightly before responding himself.

"A story for later, look we're almost on the Island." Kiralexia said looking out the window.

Just below was I-Island in all it's glory, and damage. It was better than it was months ago but still broken up a bit and Kiralexia felt a bit of glee seeing that. He looked in front to see Ashido knocked out with Jirou on her shoulder also napping. Kirishima was on his phone while Midoriya was talking with Ilda on something he couldn't hear. Soon all of them will be off the plan and out onto the Island, his home, and nightmare. As he thought of that he heard the voice again call out to him, and this time it only said 'disgrace.'. Kiralexia looked around and didn't see anyone thankfully, though the nerves were still on end. Is he even still alive after what he did? No he shouldn't be, only time will tell, and that time is coming soon.

You see as the plane landed on I-Island, Kiralexia had a sudden sense, something was off. Not bad just, like something or someone, wasn't in the best of moods. As he stood up and got his belongings ready he was quickly stopped my Mei Hatsume before he could even step a foot off the plane.

"What's this about?"

"Well I-Island has no idea how advanced you are my baby. I want to keep YOU a surprise." Mei explained with Kiralexia just looking at her and his bags before looking back.

"So I have to shut down when I get out?"

'Only until the scientists leave then you may roam for I will, 'turn you on'.

"Hm. Fine but turn me on quick, I want to get to that hotel room fast. I heard they had poker nights there." Kiralexia said dropping his bags and going into a low powered state.

Mei was elated at that and put him on a rolling device and rolled him out of the plane. As they did so Kiralexia could see through infrared sensors, that gave him a bluish hue to everything but he could still see them. It was roughly a handful of scientists, 5 or so in total a variety of genders heights and ethnicity. Hatsume brought herself to them and presented him to them 'turning him on' as she did so. He whirred online and looked at them all now with a clearer picture of who they were and he did a small bow to them. No emotion on his face for now, only the tiniest hint of pride and smugness to him which one of the scientists did notice.

"So you say that this is the most advanced AI system in the world?"

"Correct, he can process thousands upon thousands of data in mere seconds. His strength exceeds even All Might's in some aspects. I've even seen that his speed is greatly above speed heroes of out age."

"So it's a man?"

"He prefers to be called such yes." Hatsume reassured with Kiralexia simply looking around the scientists who were somewhat impressed.

"Okay sure that's all good to say but we're gonna need a demonstration."

"Oh certainly. Baby show em what you got." Hatsume ordered Kiralexia where he then did something he KNEW would wow them.

He cracked his neck and lowered himself left hand touching the ground by the fingers. He then looked to the sky and lunged forwards passed the scientists and jumping high in the air. When he reached the air he began to fly with jets in his feet and he looked around the area, perhaps scanning the area. When he was completed he fell to the ground and looked at the scientists before speaking.

'Area scan complete, no hostiles as of this moment." Kiralexia said with a fake like voice. The scientists were impressed and applauded the effort all but one.

"Interesting. Guess we have to wait and see the rest at the display Hatsume. Hope he shows something a little more, impressive." The scientist said before making it clear to the others they had to go.

As they left Kiralexia got a stare down from that one scientist, who was a female and clearly looked stern as hell. Hatsume then walked over to Kiralexia and gave a beaming smile well aware they liked them sort of. Kiralexia couldn't shake the feeling that that one woman, was weirdly passive aggressive to him. Strange considering most here probably don't even know who he really is, well accept for two. But they aren't here at this moment and Kiralexia would like to get a move on. Thus he went back to the plane and grabbed his bags and began to move to the hotel with Hatsume next to him.

As everyone began going to separate ways, with many following Hatsume and Kiralexia to the hotel, Hatsume began to speak to Kiralexia. She was curious as to why Kiralexia wasn't so fond of this place. He made it evident enough that he can't stand this place at all. However he never explained the why in that other than just poor treatment. How bad must it have been for him to have this level of trauma?

"So why do you not like this place?"

"Well being treated like a weapon isn't exactly, 'healthy parenting'."

"Sure but what happened for you to leave or, what was it that you did?"

"I'd rather not say Mei, it's hard to remember such things easily. However what I can say is that what I did made sure no others like me would be tortured again." Kiralexia said with a small sneer on his face.

Well that didn't help all that much. In fact, that's what he would mostly say with varying words of course but it was all the same. He did something to make sure none would be hurt like he was. Yet what was it, better yet why and what was the tipping point?

"That's what you usually say but what caused you to do that? Better yet what was the last straw or what was it?"

"Let's just say, my father figure was a bitch. The worst human I have ever met, cause at least All For One never lied about being a villain. That man that thing, he lied straight through his teeth. It made me sick for what he did to me in the name of science. I am glad I made him pay with blood."

"Oh, well hey that man's long gone, so please don't be to worried, and also steady yourself, I don't want you hurting anyone here."

"I may dislike this place but not enough to just randomly hurt people. Jeez gotta give me some leeway." Kiralexia retorted to Hatsume before immediately thinking back to the first meeting with the scientists. "That does remind though. Do you know that one scientists lady that was giving me a sudo death glare?"

"As far as I'm aware they only seem to be the one who brought me here in the first place."

"That still doesn't explain why they were passive aggressive to us."

"Maybe you just didn't wow them enough."

"Sure let's go with that." Kiralexia said slightly mockingly to Mei Hatsume.

He didn't buy that at all, he might not have done much to impress them but just enough to be intriguing. Yet that one woman, seemed to have it out for him. He couldn't be certain but, who knows why that was the case. Maybe when he shows his skills off again he'll learn the truth. While in thought he noticed someone ahead that looked familiar. A young woman, long blond hair and adorable little glasses on her face. As Hatsume and he walked closer to her it seemed both of them noticed who the other was.

"MELISSA?!" Kiralexia said slightly taken aback and grabbing the FULL attention of Melissa Shield.

"KIRALEXIA?!" She said back just as surprised.

Kiralexia dropped his bags and ran up to her with a big smile on his face. He picked her up and swung her around before giving her a big hug. Both laughed a bit as they did this, Kiralexia's face actually showing a few tears as he did so.

"I thought you were dead Uncle." Melissa said a little sad but still happy.

"HA nothing can take this old dog down." Kiralexia said knocking his hand onto his head.

Everyone else saw this and were surprised to see this be the reaction given by Melissa to Kiralexia. Kiralexia himself never mentioned her once, Dave a few times but even then he seemed to keep to himself on that part in history. Midoriya himself seemed a bit miffed off at that and also shocked that the two even knew each other.

"Hold on did you say uncle?"

'Oh Hi Midoriya, yes Kiralexia here was like a second uncle to me."

"More like is. Although I did barely see you."

"Why?" Midoriya asked with Kiralexia quickly turning his head to look at him.

"One word, villain. Not easy being a family figure when you're a villain to the country they're on." Kiralexia said finally allowing Melissa down to the ground. It was at that point Melissa then had to ask the question.

"Wait why are you even here? I thought you'd never return after-"

'Hey whoa whoa whoa, I haven't mentioned THAT night to them and I'd like to keep it like that for now. Plus I'm not fully here of my own accord, Mei Hatsume is showing off her inventions and I'm one of them."

"Well that can't be right, the data on you here would make most suspicious."

"They have that?" Kiralexia asked a little taken aback at that.

"It makes sense, you did most likely cause a lot of damage on the island. Not to mention you were apart of a special project so the data must still be there." Midoriya answered with Kiralexia suddenly realizing what happened.

He shook his head and just allowed that to sink in. could that be the reason that one scientist gave him a stare? Maybe, he couldn't be sure but it is highly likely. He then went to his bags but before he could get to the he noticed Ashido was carrying them and moving up to the hotel.

"Don't worry I got these, you reunite with your niece." She said before continuing on to the hotel.

Kiralexia was confused but accepted that, he did want to talk to Melissa more, perhaps getting more context to why the Island may not well, like him here. Thus he did tell everyone to move ahead, as he wanted to stay back and talk to Melissa for a bit. They listened all but Hatsume stayed because he was still under 'her control' and she had to stay to make sure that was still clear.

As Kiralexia talked with Melissa he learned that after the night, the Island made it damn clear he could never return. Which was a big lie since he did secretly return just to see Melissa a few times but anyways. Kiralexia just felt relaxed talking with Melissa even if one of the things she mentioned made him wince a bit. Someone he thought dead still alive, he doubted it and hoped that she was just trying to scare him, as she once did. Then another familiar voice came from the side. One that made Kiralexia's blood run ice cold.

"Well this is certainly shocking to see isn't Ms. Shield?" the voice said with a deep and suave sounding voice.

Kiralexia turned his body to the voice and the fear gripped his body. The man had a mechanical right eye and left arm, a scarred face and scratchy facial hair. His hair was rather gray with clearly black dye in his hair. He was tall, taller than Mei by at least a foot and by Melissa by at least an inch or two. He was also rather stronger looking with clear bicep since the mechanical arm was more skeletal. The person was clear to who he was to Kiralexia, and it made him frightened. A man he thought he killed, a man Melissa said was still around. The very man who tortured him when he was a young one. Like how one was his mother figure this this was one of the most abusive people he had experience with it. He was frozen with fear just looking at him, pulling an act. He knew who he was, the very man who raised him. His very own father figure, Dr. Kalvo.
