Chapter 42
Battle of the Kurral Lord
After several days of doing odd jobs, story telling, and just messing about, things are relatively calm. Kiralexia has been doing good hard work, along with Dabi and the others. Toga has been aiding in medical attention, in her own way, and it seems the pirates are overall been good to them. In short, life's good for the crew. Kiralexia is now in the main deck helping map out where to go. Where they must go goes straight through a goddamn dead zone. it's a zone Kiralexia himself knows is heavy in sea battles and Pirate on Pirate fights. Most avoid it as well, it lacks profits and is dangerous.
Yet to get to Vladivostok, there stopping point at sea, they have to cross it. Thus Kiralexia was now making sure to avoid encounters with Jack and it's been going. Kiralexia was using his tracker to make sure things weren't wrong while Jack was checking recent sightings to see if anything's going to happen. Thankfully nothing on either end so it's calm. Jack was busy talking to Kiralexia about which route to take when all of a sudden Dabi came up and made himself known.
"Captain."
"Dabi. I assume you're here for information?"
"Just wanna know how much longer it shall take?"
"Don't worry hot head, we're almost there. If anything we'll make it through without anymore snags." Kiralexia said with a bit of a smile.
"Ya well the seas are dangerous." Dabi said with a beep coming from a sensor. "Point proven."
'Uh this can't be good." Just then an explosion was heard.
The crew was rattled but survived and looked out. As they looked out they saw salvos being fired upon them. Kiralexia went to look on the railing. What he saw felt like karma. It was a fleet of ships, several frigates and what looked like about three to five battleships, either that or one's a carrier. Jack was out as well and looked over to Kiralexia who looked back at him.
"Well karma's a bitch ain't it?" Kiralexia said with Jack just shaking his head.
"Get the guns ready, and prepare for a salvo barrage!" Jack commanded moving to the bridge hearing what sounds like a message noise.
The noise was loud and Kiralexia moved back as well with Dabi close behind. Upon entering an audio began to play. A message for Jack and his crew, someone from the fleet ahead. Jack said to patch it through fully and the figure was then projected into the room and a thick look to them and scaly exterior. There teeth were sharp and eyes sunken into there skull. He made a small mock bow before introducing himself.
"Hello Jack I'm the Kurral Lord here, and you just passed by MY territory."
"Now hold on a minute this is free land, you cannot own the sea."
"Yet you do what makes you think I cannot?" Jack sneared a bit before Kiralexia pitched in.
"Listen we mean no harm Lord, just let us pass by and you can continue doing whatever the fuck you're doing."
"Sorry Kiralexia but the villains of Japan are putting a hell of a bounty on your head. So I must take it, either give me Kiralexia or sink to the bottom of the sea with him. You have half an hour to decide." the Lord demanded disapearing as he did so. Jack scoffed and looked pissed off.
"Explain to me how this works? Who in the hell was that?"
"Seraak a Pirate lord in the region. He changed his title to fit his personality. No honor or any dignity with that fucker."
"Well we can fight them."
"How? Gunning at them will only go so far."
"Board them with the sea dwellers." Dabi pitched in with Kiralexia nodding to that.
"Hmm, I got it. Some shall be boarded but plant some charges on the bottom of there ships and we can cripple them before they have a chance to react."
"I can go a look like I'm running away to draw attention even." Kiralexia said with Jack agreeing.
"Okay get Tsu, and the other ships ready to strike when it comes to it. Kiralexia you'll go and ride a small boat and run circles around them."
"You got it captain I shall do so."
"What about me?" Dabi asked with Jack turning to him and Kiralexia several times.
"Stay here and man the guns. Kiralexia and the others will do the rest." Jack said before moving more ahead in the ship.
Dabi seemed a bit miffed but silently agreed to it. He and Kiralexia moved out as Jack would explain what was happening to everyone across the ships and told them the plan. All agreed and began making there moves. Tsuyu would move to a boat as would Kiralexia. He then saw how far out the enemies where and realized, that was one of hell of a distance. Kiralexia sighed as Jack now on the deck wished him luck. As he did he descended to the water and began to move across it. As he and other boats began there move a few distance before stopping a little way ahead. Tsu and few others put on re breathers grabbed depth charges and began to swim to the enemy. Kiralexia on the other hand began to move closer and closer swerving around as he did so to get there attention.
He would get there attention and a lot more then he desired. As soon a large platoon of smaller attack boats began racing themselves towards him. As he began to move towards the sideways from the enemy he looked to his own sides and saw boats approaching him fast. He then noticed they had machine guns up and ready to gun him down. 'Oh I got there attention alright.' Kiralexia muttered to himself before ducking as machine guns ripped the air apart. Side to side and behind they came, and Kiralexia was trying to find something to strike back with. He found a rifle and decided to use it against the boats. As he fired them many bodies fell and boats halted. When he got fired into the back he turned around quickly and launched a flame shard into the engine of the boat causing it to explode. Turning behind him he fired round after round into bodies to stop them from coming.
Yet soon he would face something he could not challenge, salvos from the battle ship itself. While his boat could keep up the pace he was running out of fuel for one and two he wasn't THAT fast against the torrent. He looked over and saw a boat and decided to take the chance. He planted a charge onto the engine of the boat and allowed it to drift behind him. He then jumped into the air and killed those in the boat with rifle and razor sharp claws. Producing a knife from thin air he stabbed the driver of the boat in the head and forced them to the ground. The charge then exploded into a group of boats. Kiralexia sighed as he saw more boats and the salvo from the battle ships and frigate continuing.
Back with Jack he had his ships moving into position. He noticed on the radar the large sum of boats just chasing after Kiralexia. Of course the boats that had the others setting depth charges on the battle ships were also being hounded down but it made it easier for them to move into position. He sighed as the salvos move for Kiralexia. He went onto the radio and called for Kiralexia.
"How are things going Kiralexia?" He asked with a look of concern on his face.
"Like absolute SHIT! These guys don't quit easily." Kiralexia yelled out with wind being picked up on the comms.
"Just keep them preoccupy while we ready ourselves for long range strikes."
"Oh don't worry, they're occupied alright." Kiralexia said sounding disdained as bullets now came from the comms.
Jack turned it off ad went to his gunners out of the deck and told them to ready themselves. Dabi was already primed and ready and seemed miffed off. He wanted to aid out there not stuck on the boat itself. Yet as he heard salvos moving towards them, he felt pity for Kiralexia. Poor bastard was on a suicide mission really. Yet when Jack wasn't looking he decided to try and get the fight to them hand to hand. Thus he went onto a small boat and began riding it with Jack yelling at him noticing it quickly.
Meanwhile for Midoriya he had decided the same thing and began to fly across the sky to get to the carrier. Once he was on he knocked a lot of people off by just blowing high pressure wind at them. Now of course many had guns yet he'd use his howitzer as a makeshift gun if you will. He would almost get hit but dodged and made them ricochet from the wind and hit those shooting him. Soon he decided on a dumb course of action to just break into the deck and through the ship he went straight through in the cargo hold and had soldiers get into a hand to hand with him. He was to strong for them at first but one jumped him and knocked him on the head before throwing him across the room.
"Did you think you can one v one an entire fleet on your own?"
"No I'm just the distraction." Midoriya answered with a small smirk.
Just then Todoroki came in using his ice to freeze the goons in place while also blocking the way from the deck in. apparently this was planned from the beginning, Shoto and Izuku would both make it through the cruiser and get aprihended. They're strong but only so much can happen before they're over powered by larger numbers. In turn they were wrapped up in rope and tossed over the edge of the ship as an insult. Now as for everyone else they did there part well, shooting off at the enemy frigates, planting the charges, and for others like Midoriya and some pirates, getting onto the ships themselves and taking out the crew.
Now where was Toga and Twice in all of this, well, Twice had copied Dabi and made HIM be on the deck of the flagship. Toga on the other hand went to the flagship without anyone knowing. When she began to climb aboard she took someone overboard and had a tussle. The commotion was enough to make some pirates move to there direction. Seconds later the pirate jumped back on and looked over to see a body splash into the water.
"Damn bastard got the jump on me."
"Well then we need more munitions then. You two go the storage area and get some for us." a pirate said in a stern voice with the two agreeing and moving down.
As they began to move the pirate that issued the command noticed how the body looked like the one he just ordered to storage. Raising an eyebrow he looked over to where they moved and seemed concerned. In storage the two moved around as others were moving crates and munitions onto the deck. The two looked around and saw a darker corner and noticed, grenades and armor penetration salvos.
"Hey NOW we can lay on the hurt eh?" the comrade said with a smile.
"That we can. You get the first box I'll get the second." the pirate said with a smirk.
The comrade saluted and went over to the boxes and neatly stacked shells. As he was trying to grab some shells his friend suddenly had a darker expression on there face. The next moment his throat was slit and blood drank by his comrade. Soon they shifted to look like them and he then grabbed a crate of grenades and pocketed a few on himself. They then walked out as there buddy layed dying on the floor there. When they came out with grenades the one who ordered them was confused.
"My buddy is lagging behind he'll catch up."
"He better, now get to the cannons and start firing."
"Yes sir." He said with a salute and moved towards the guns.
In case it isn't aware to anyone this is Toga in disguise ready to jump the next person soon. Now as for Kiralexia he was busy not dying. Riding the boat, with his tail I might add, and firing guns and other projectiles at the enemies around him. It should be noted that the boat he's riding is like a jet boat and thus REALLY FAST, same with the others around him hunting him down. After about fifteen minutes or so of this Kiralexia looked behind him and saw that salvos had stopped from him and moved to the fleet. Looking around a bit and his mind running around with thoughts as he saw some of 1-A and 1-B jumping off the ship into the fleet. Good god they're more reckless then he thought. He sighed and turned on the radio.
"Jack mind explaining why several students are flying to the fleet?"
"The dumb asses are rising heroes so WHY NOT go on a suicide charge into the enemy?!"
"Then I'm moving to the flagship, are the depth charges set?" Kiralexia asked with Jack silent for a few seconds.
"Set and ready Kiralexia."
"Wish me luck then and DON'T FIRE them until I give the signal."
"Got it, good luck and keep the students safe."
"No promises." Kiralexia answered turning the jet boat around and moving towards the enemy fleet.
This caused those pursuing him to double take, before moving along to get him as well. As he sped past he planted mines in the water and blew up a few of the jet boats in pursuit. As he came closer to the battleship gun fire emerged from the top of it. Kiralexia fired at them and knocked many of them down. He then jumped from his jet boat and landed on the deck. He looked up arms low to the ground with blades protruding from them. He then noticed about three dozen soldiers pointing guns at him as he looked up.
"Ah, shit." Kiralexia mutter before making his blades retract from his arms and put them up.
He was apprehended and brought to the bridge. When he got there he suddenly saw Midoriya and Shoto the same way. Yet Dabi disappeared and was burning up one of the frigates crew without anyone knowing. As for the others that placed the depth charges they were swimming away before they got caught themselves. Once on the bridge the Kurral turned to face Kiralexia with a shit eating smirk. He moved himself towards Kiralexia and looked down upon him sneering.
"Did you really think you guys could beat me? I'm a man whose made his name killing wannabes like YOU." Kurral said looking towards the others next to Kiralexia.
"It's me you want right? Leave them out of this."
"No, then I won't be able to get even better with my pay. isn't that right Vanelis?" Kurral said grinning as Vanelis came into view.
"Without a doubt in my mind Kurral lord."
"Should've figured you'd be a coward and rat us out."
"Hey a guys gotta eat."
"YOU GET PAID MORE BY US!"
"Ya it wasn't going to work, you're heroes, I'm not. In this world differences in views don't see on the same wavelength. You understand don't you?" Vanelis asked with his smirk rising on his mouth.
"So ratting us out over a bigger paycheck is better to you?"
"Of course, I always loved seeing heroes fall on there asses afterall. More entertaining then training." Vanelis answered with his smirk growing on his mouth.
"ENOUGH Vanelis, your payment." Kurral said showing up a suitcase.
Vanelis opened it and saw the amount of money in it. He smiled and took it without a second thought. Midoriya sneered while Kiralexia whipped his tail across his face. A large gash formed from the strike and Vanelis felt it and saw the blood. It healed instantly and Vanelis grinned while putting a finger on his lip. Kiralexia raised an eyebrow as Kurral then cracked his neck and whistled for his soldiers closest to him to point there guns at them.
"On my mark kill them, dead or alive they'll pay us and I don't want them messing things up." he said walking away and out of the bridge.
The guards raised there rifles and pointed it on there faces. Kiralexia noticed a glint in one of there eyes and smiled. Midoriya was confused yet Vanelis seemed aware of it as well, he was setting things up elsewhere.
"I don't suppose we can talk about this lad?" Kiralexia asked with the guards both clicking there guns safety off.
Seconds after the one right at Midoriya turned there head to the other one and raised there gun to them. Firing it and putting a bullet through there skull while Vanelis threw a knife into the others back. He walked away puling the knife out and simply smirked as the guard began to shoot others coming in. after five or more guards died the one that mutinied began to shift and turned into Toga who was smiling like mad. Kiralexia chuckled as he got up and looked happy at Toga.
"Ah always the one who loves to mess with others."
"It's a talent." Toga said smiling.
"Was Vanelis in on this?" Midoriya asked looking ticked off.
"Hey I had no idea he'd be here, I'm just as lost as you are."
"I believe you lass now come on let's get to the deck and fuck EM UP!" Kiralexia screamed out showing excitement in his eyes.
Toga was the same while Midoriya and the students just gave a look of worry. As the exited the main control room, after knocking most or threatening the others away from attacking them, they began an assault on a lot of guards. Many of which did not stand a chance to Kiralexia who tossed, punched and straight up stabbed many of them with his own tail. Of course there were also corpses before they got there as evidence of Vanelis just casually walking away from the scene of slitting a mans throat. Kiralexia was about the punch him in the face but he disappeared into the walls before he could reach him.
After about a minute of just taking down goons, they make it about halfway or so to the deck, where they suddenly see a large swarm of guys around them. Kiralexia cracks his knuckles and Toga flips her knife around with a smile on her face. They then charge forward and take a lot of these goons down with ease. Of course the bullets smacking into Kiralexia take there tole on him and eventually with a sigh he brings a barrier around the students and himself to protect them. Many of the goons cease fire and watch anticipating something. Kiralexia begins to breath heavily as Midoriya gives a look of concern. Toga got shot at a bunch but thankfully mainly scrapes came by nothing major.
"Are you alright Kiralexia."
"Not exactly, tired and sore. Oh it's been a while since I've done this." Kiralexia said showing sweat on his face.
They then heard murmuring from the goons before two of them pulled out a big ass cannon mounted down on stilts. Kiralexia's eyes dilated as the cannon revved up and fired it's first shot into the barrier. It warbled around like crazy before settling once more. A loud click and the sound of a bullet casing dropping onto the metal floor ringed in there ears. Another shot rang out as did another. With each shot the barrier waned, with each shot the barrier cracked, and Kiralexia strained even harder. Kiralexia took some thoughts into it before ringing up Jack began to scream at him.
"Jack you need to detonate the charges on the fleet NOW!"
"But the others would be."
"JUST DO IT!" Kiralexia yelled as another shot from the cannon made the crack on the barrier larger.
Jack sighed on the other side and made the command. Explosions then sounded and the whole ship rocked around. Everyone looked around in confusion and soon Kiralexia ripped a chunk of metal out of the floor and threw it at the auto cannon gunners knocking them down. Moments before the bombs went off, everyone that was setting them up, were suddenly attacked by the Kurral's soldiers, in scuba suits and harpoon guns. The fight under the water was chaos, with harpoons fired everywhere, bodies falling unconscious, and even some of the students getting severely injured in this moment. Tsuyu whipped a harpoon with her tongue back at another and smacked another into the engine turbines. Seconds later the message was given to swim as far as possible the bombs were about to go off. Everyone scattered and the explosion erupted with the water rising above the ship itself. Everyone survived on Jacks crew BUT were injured and blasted back rather badly as well. Many got concussed internal damage and a general feeling of being sick. Yet that will be dived into more so later.
Back on the flagship Kiralexia and the others were able to flee from the ordeal they were in and killed many of them while going onto the deck. As they made it to the deck they saw Vanelis acting like a goddamn ballerina with knives in his hands. Slitting throats, and cutting into people, he was rather graceful in his killing. He saw everyone and smiled waving at them before twirling his knife on his right hand and stabbing one of the goons running up to try and stab him right in the mouth.
"Oh you absolute penis of a man. When this is over you're DEAD!" Kiralexia yelled out with Vanelis shrugging.
"Sure thing, I'll wait for that back on the boat. Vale." Vanelis said saluting before hopping into a small skimmer boat and riding off to the other fleet.
Kiralexia groaned as he suddenly realized that the whole ship was actually beginning to sink. No shit but he wasn't aware of it tipping until now, as the deck shifted dramatically from side to side. Many goons and pirates were struggling to both figure out what was happening, and trying to get off. Midoriya looked around with everyone else and just looked over to Kiralexia.
"Is this what you wanted to happen?"
"Better then I desired now let's get the fuck out of here." Kiralexia answered moving onto the deck with everyone else. Suddenly a bullet shot as Kurral moved out with five of his own elite guards.
"Not so fast you sons of bitches." he sneered with a fire in his eyes.
Kiralexia lowered himself and the others got themselves ready for a fight. The Kurral looked furious and blood was stained around his head. The guards themselves also looked worn yet all of them ready to strike them down. With his pistol still smoking and heavy breaths the Kurral began to speak even more.
"You've destroyed everything I had all for what? Knock me down, to kill me? I have seen enough of your shit THIS is only a small setback."
"Small you've lost your flagship and several frigates and even a goddamn carrier. You call that small?"
"You don't know anything of MY life. I'd give you a shot to escape, but now it's personal. So you have any last words you pricks?"
"You know what they say, cowards sink with the ship." Kiralexia said mocking the Kurral. The Kurral began to breath more heavily before snapping.
"KILL THEM!" He yelled out with fury as his guards went down on them with both guns and hook spears.
Kiralexia and the others moved around to strike them down. 5 against 4 small hill but with Kiralexia facing two of them and the others facing one, it was a better chance. Kiralexia weaved through there attack of assault rifle sprays and a hooked spear attacks. He punched them at first but soon began to kick at them knocking them around. It should be noted that these guys were wearing armor but it was VERY light and only covered the chest and parts of the arms and legs. Kiralexia then had enough and slashed right through one of them, cutting there arm off and grabbing there rifle before firing it into there head. He then used it as a bat and swung it into the others head, before crushing there ribs with his foot. Toga dealt with hers by weaving through the hooks wrenching it out of there hands and gutting them in the process with the back end of it. Midoriya had knocked his out cold with a strong kick to the head and Shoto after moving around gun shots froze them in place. The lord panicked fired his pistol into Kiralexia bouncing off his skin he grabbed the spear from the guy he killed and threw it right into there abdomen. They coughed up blood and fell down onto the steps they were on. Ya they were on steps that headed up to the bridge, and yes the group was on the other side of the bridge.
Kiralexia scoffed as he stood upright and walked right up to the figure. He was panicking and looked at him with terror. He fired his pistol point blank into his chest but only created a small dink. Kiralexia sighed as he leaned down and went right up to his face.
'Like I said, cowards sink with there ship."
"You can't win, he will break free, and soon, you will die for good this time."
"Maybe, but when that days comes, I will NOT be alone unlike you."
"You think you understand this, you don't, we always rise again. You made sure of that." the Kurral said with a bloodied smile as Kiralexia looked towards the metallic wall and stretched his hand out to it. That wall creaked and the metal was torn off, before pinning itself onto the lord with a look of terror on his face.
"Then I'll make sure you don't enjoy the last moments, this ship will go down with you on it." Kiralexia said before standing up and moving towards everyone again.
"I've got a message for you." Kiralexia stopped to hear the message. "When I break out of this hell hole, YOU'RE FIRST TO GO." He said with Kiralexia looking shocked before moving to the decks rim.
The lord cackled as Kiralexia ripped out a piece of metal pipeline and through at the lord with high force. It went right beside his head inches away in fact and that shut him up. Kiralexia sighed before jumping into the water and turning into a boat. The others jumped onto him as he rode off to the fleet with everyone else apart of it joining suit. The enemy was defeated with it's flagship and many other ships sinking, and one even burning up. A few minutes after getting back onto Jack's ship he called a meeting for everyone to come on. All of 1-A and 1-B was on with Kiralexia, Dabi, Toga, and Twice all the same. Many of them looked like they just had a fight with a fire and lost. Bruised, a bit burnt and overall not exactly in good shape. Jack himself looked over many of them and just looked both disappointed and pissed.
"How is it that one of Japans most, PRESTIGIOUS hero schools of ALL TIME give me two classes 40 in total? Yet how is that over HALF of you seem to share the same brain cell of lack of listening to PLANS and self preservation? Good god if this is the next generation of heroes, god help Japan." Jack said clearly upset at all of them.
'Well to be fair."
"No NO Kiralexia you and Toga aren't at fault both of you did wonders with making do with an ever changing battle field. Hell I'll even give Dabi that to, but it was still reckless."
"Hey I did better then you guys ever would."
"Shut up hot head. No most of the 'adults' listened, and did this well, even Midnight managed to do what she was told wonderfully alongside All Might. But NOOOOO I'm stuck leading a bunch of retarded children."
"Hey that's a bit to much man."
"You're right, I meant idiotic dipshits." Jack corrected himself with Kiralexia kinda agreeing.
"HEY WE DEALT WITH THE FLEET WONDERFULLY!"
'YOU FAILED TO LISTEN. You could've gotten killed afterall, we made a plan to use depth charges yet half of you just kamikaze into the FLEET. Are are are, you all fucking idiots?!" Jack yelled losing more and more of his cool.
"I swear to whatever gods exists if I were your teachers and saw THAT ALL OF YOU WOULD BE REPRIMANDED FOR FOOLISH BEHAVIOR!"
"But we won."
"sheer luck won, not heroic actions. All of you must learn this and learn this well, in war, no one is a hero, everyone EVERYONE must listen or face a painful end due to sheer stupidity."
"But not everything must be listened if it's wrong."
"Correct but what was wrong with this plan?" Jack asked Midoriya and everyone with all of them looking around confused. "Exactly nothing, in short, you would've died pointlessly. I don't condone this way of hero duty, it's foolish and reckless. So until we make landfall, ALL of you will be stuck cleaning and doing training until it feels like your limbs will fall right off you." Jack said this time much calmer but still ticked off.
"WHAT!?"
"You heard him don't disobey or else it's the brig."
"Correct Kiralexia, NOW FOR YOU THREE!"
"Uh oh I knew this was coming."
"Kiralexia you did wonders but next time think more rationally than recklessly."
"Understood."
"Toga, you did wonderful work saving them yet your forms needs improvements. DABI." Jack sighed before giving his response. "Do shit like that again and it will be the brig. Other then that good job all of you did well in spite of the recklessness now go to the infirmary and get patched up then get to cleaning and training NOW!" Jack commanded with everyone filing over to the infirmary.
Jack sighed heavily as Kiralexia walked up to them with a smile.
"Hey they're young and don't understand war yet, so don't be to harsh alright."
"They're in highschool I wouldn't call THAT young, BUT fine however Midoriya will be given the worst of it for such idiotic behavior."
"I get that, take care Jack, I'll see you soon." Kiralexia said moving to the infirmary.
Jack sighed before looking to the sky and shaking his head. He swore if this happened again they'd face much worse then brig time. He moved to the bridge as his fleet moved out. He lost a bit as well, mainly a few frigates but nothing major. The battle was over and the fleet moved onwards, to Russia.
