Prologue
As she lit a candle, her obsidian eyes gazed at what would bring her to another world. She had been running for so long; for how long? Even she wouldn't be able to tell you. Sure enough, she hunted for something, anything to get a handle on her powers, and found an obelisk and the book. To the untrained eye, the obelisk was just another stone formation, and the book was a bundle of blank pages bound by a featureless leather cover. But she was not just anybody, for she could see what was hidden from the naked eye: the glowing markings on the obelisk, and the invisible writing on the book. She had made a ring of her enemy's blood around the obelisk, as the book had told her to. Now she hoped it would lead her elsewhere, somewhere far from the constrictions imposed on her by her family.
The moon began to rise. She slowly unrobed and dipped herself into the freezing lake. The stone glowed and a bright feminine figure faded into being beside the obelisk with shining silver eyes.
"What do you want?" It asked rudely, her silver eyes piercing right into the girl's soul.
"A life of my own!" the girl shouted.
The feminine figure smiled. "It shall be done. The payment is your soul!"
Silver light overtook the clearing and laughter rang out from the girl's mouth.
Finally, after years she would have revenge on all who made her suffer and tied her life to the damn obelisk. She glanced at her figure in the pond. Passing her hand over it showed the same girl on another planet wandering by night. She smirked. She smiled and aimed her thoughts at the girl. She needed to be near a world where revenge was possible!
Pan had felt something calling her from afar. In case of it being dangerous, she had gone alone. Not one of her brightest ideas, as the forest was darkest at night.
She continued her trek until she was met with a spring lake and her reflection, but her reflection wasn't right. Since when did she look like a runaway princess?
"There must be something wrong with the moonlight."
As she went to touch it, the reflection spoke: "Please listen, my name is the same as yours. I am you, but I need a place to hide from those who are looking for me. Please can you help me?"
Pan sighed and thought about such a beauty being brought over. She already had Marron and Mai to contend with now; this second version of herself would not just be more competition, it was likely she would be favored. A wave of jealousy and insecurity flowed through the girl's mind and soul. "Ok, but can you teach me to be pretty like you?"
Her other self smiled. "Of course, I can. Grab my hand."
Pan blinked and realized an arm was sticking out of the water. Something told her, pleaded with her not to, but she ignored her instincts and pulled the image from the water. It laughed and as it rose, it shoved her into the water.
"Hey! What's the big idea!?" Pan cried out as she started to get up, only the water held her in place. "W-what's going on?" she yelled as she tried to pull from the water. It started to climb over her and she slowly started to sink.
The beautiful version of her waved her hands and shook her head. "This won't do. Well, you wanted to be prettier, right? Now I am you and you are me. You can use my body to feel good about your looks, and I'll be using your body for my revenge."
"Huh?" Pan said and suddenly everything spun and she was looking at herself as she began to sink again.
"What the fuck? This is all a nightmare, just a stupid nightmare. I'll wake up now." she cried to herself, closing her eyes as the world spun around her.
She saw herself laugh. "Enjoy being the Earth princess! And don't forget, you're engaged to some jackass!" laughed the other Pan.
"Say what!?" but she could only get out garbles as she descended into the frigid February waters.
Eva stared at the frigid waters chuckling when she heard her father calling her name. A familiar spiky-haired man down to the glasses appeared looking miffed. "Pan you know not to be out here alone after Baby. It's dangerous still."
Pan smiled sadly and nodded. "Sorry for worrying you, daddy. It won't happen again."
Gohan smiled. "It's ok sweetie let's go in." He turned his back and Pan's eyes glowed silver.
She smiled wickedly. "Yes, daddy."
