"There's no helping me, it's best to let me go."

The Principal was a shebeast in human form. The weakened girl sat in the chair in front of her desk scared to look up to her, she was in a mood of rage. Her body fidgeted with each breath she took and her wrinkly face was contorted in the most lemon puckered face she ever saw. 'This is it, this is the day I die..' " !" She demanded, making Amina flinch and look over to her. "I advise you to keep eye contact, it's very improper to not look at the person talking to you!" Amina swallowed her fear and anxiety, keeping her eyes trained on the wrinkly face of the Principal. As she sat down she seemed to calm herself down. "You know, I try to make things easier for you. You make excuses about not having glasses, so you're in the front row of every class you have. You have trouble with work so you have an IEP. You're the most troubled African American in this school, and even though you all cause problems you seem to bring up the most!" She got louder with each word she said. Amina had forgotten the Principal was also a racist bigot, she of course didn't let that out into the public, it pissed the girl off greatly but she couldn't do anything. No one believes her about these things anyhow, this whole town hates her. (Hell that's what I thought. There was even kids who didn't go to my school and they hated me) The school gave these certain good things to troubled students, some privileges, but if you're like Amina you'll only be met with more torment. Acid was the nicer mean nickname, they used to call her "Special Ed kid" or just plain "R**ard." Only her, there were other kids who had her type of education problems but they were left alone. She figured it was due to how feeble she was already due to the "at home" situation. "There's been a number of things you got away with, but this is the final straw." Amina, after those last words, felt her world shatter. She could take whatever happened to her on the daily just fine, but dealing with the wrath of her father after he told her not to cause trouble...she'd be beaten and bruised and thrown out into the cold dark world with no one to help her. 'End it all before it happens! That'll solve it!' Spoke Nina with a giggle. "P-please.." Her voice but a whisper, the principal squinted her eyes and glared down at her. "Excuse me?" "Please don't call my dad!" The frightened girl had let out ages of held back sobs as she lurched forward and gripped onto the Elmwood desk the Principal sat behind. "I'm sorry! Nothing like this won't happen again, please! I'll pay off the damages myself!" The Principal was a bit flabbergasted at the groveling student, and usually she would give kids chances, some more than others, but she couldn't take anymore of Amina's problem attitude and problems. Most people would try to see why the student was acting like this but she didn't care enough. Nor did she ever. "Not this time, after all you caused in the past and today, there has been no change in your behavior. I'm hoping your parents will settle this once and for all." Amina continued to sob, as the Principal got up from her desk and walked to the door that exited (and entered) from the secretary's office. "You may go now," She told her, smiling broadly when she hunched her shoulders up to her ears. Trying to get rid of the still falling tears. "Also, stop and see nurse Anna so she can take a look at your shoulders and legs, you limping around the school and bleeding is not a good look for us." "O-okay.." Amina murmured, slowly standing up and hefting her backpack.

As she left the office and headed towards the infirmary that little voice came back. 'Do you want to get bullied more? Get rid of that ugly tearful look, you crying is making you a better target.' 'Fufufu, you didn't actually think she'd be on your side did you? Don't you remember that people in this school hate your very being?' 'Can't wait till you get home! Bah-haha!' Nina cackled, making the girl more upset than she was moments ago and upon walking in, the woman sitting at a desk in the corner of the room looked up. Her green eyes widened when she saw the blood on Amina's shoulder. "Oh, dear!" She exclaimed, leaping up and frantically hurrying over. "What on earth happened to you?" "Car," Amina explained, avoiding her eyes. "It's a long story." "Take off your shirt and let's get you cleaned up," The woman sighed, clicking her tongue as she walked over to grab a first aid kit. "Children these days..." Sarah McCarthy, the school nurse, was among the few people working at school who treated Amina normally. 'Only because she's the nurse.' She scoffed. Sarah was a beautiful young woman, all things considered... creamy tan skin, dreamy green eyes, auburn hair with just the right amount of messiness, and a breathtaking smile. On top of that, she had a gorgeous figure, super long legs, and a very lovely Irish accent. She looked, for all the world, like a Barbie doll, and compared to a dark, pudgy, extremely undersized freak like Amina, she literally shone like the sun. After about 30 minutes in the Nurse's office, the bell for lunch had rung. Amina was all patched up, with new bandages as well! "Make sure to take care of yourself in the future, okay? And if you ever want to talk, you know where my office is." Amina wordlessly nodded, then slid her shirt back on, still unable to process what was going on around her. Not bothering to look back, she hefted her backpack and left the infirmary, heading for the school rooftop.

It was every day at lunch, since the incident a while ago were she was drugged with some form of laxative, she would hide up here and would either sit out and wait because she didn't want or have food, or if she did she ate up here by herself since it was isolated from everyone, and as a plus, nobody really came up here despite the fact that it was allowed by the faculty. Walking out into the open air with haunted cerulean eyes, she sank down against the rooftop wall and stared at the sky, coughing slightly as the abrupt smell of smoke hit her nose. 'Nurse Sarah said I had lost a lot of weight..I should probably eat something filling..' Her lunch today consisted of a browning banana, half of an apple, and one of those Nature Valley bars but it was already crushed to bits. 'Oh please, don't be so gullible. You're a fat ass, don't you see your muffin top? The way your fat spills out of your shirt when you lift your arms?' Nina huffed, the girl's hands shook as they gripped onto the brown paper bag. 'Throw that away, you don't need food.' '...Okay Nina, sorry..' Throwing the bag into a corner of the roof she hugged her legs and began to whimper. Her life was done for.. . Her nose wiggled and she coughed when the scent of smoke intensified. At first she was able to ignore it, but eventually she started hacking up a lung. After a few more moments of coughing like a maniac, Amina finally rubbed her stinging eyes and turned to look around the corner, but the moment she saw Murdoc Nieves, she gasped a bit. He's been around her since Elementary school and only then he was a much kinder bully than now, back then the bullying was just throwing stuff at her during class, or lunch, in the first few months of high school in order to get to where he was now in the 'food chain' he had to beat up the most hated kid in school. Guess who that was? Although after that he left her alone, only joining in with the teasing if he was around. Many students were afraid of him, many praised him, and many either loved him or wanted to be him. He was staring at her with his piercing yellow eyes, she gasped and drew her head back with her heart in her throat. 'What is he doing here?!' She silently wailed. This place is usually abandoned! "Hey, Acid," His deep voice growled, making her twitch and huddle down. "Do you hide here during lunch because you don't want to get bullied by everyone? You're never in the cafeteria anymore." Amina swallowed, wondering why her luck was so bad. "I... just like eating up here," She hums. 'Plus when the time comes, I'll jump off…' "It's quiet, and peaceful. I've been doing it since..." She trailed off and clamped her jaw shut, because of the reason she'd stopped eating lunch in the cafeteria. Her memories had worked again and the main reason she didn't go to lunch came back, the day he beat her to a pulp was at the lunch period, she'd completely avoided eating around other people at school. Hell, for the most part, she didn't even grab things from the lunch ladies anymore: she brought her lunch with her from home to avoid coming into contact with anyone. At least until she forgot and the Laxative incident happened. "So," He drawled, with that British Cockney accent, making her shiver (I don't feel like writing it but know that's his way of speech), "Let me ask you somethin', Acid... are you still scared of me?" She didn't know how to respond, but she decided to be honest, even if it got her in trouble. "Yeah," She said in a detached tone. "Who wouldn't be scared of the guy that put them in the hospital?" Silence came from around the corner. Amina numbly stared at the sky, gazing sightlessly at the drifting clouds, withdrawing into her own head as Nina rambled on. "You were taken to a hospital?" He asked, voice coming out abnormally dark despite the faint undertone of confusion in it. "I didn't... hurt you that bad, did I? I mean, after all that crap went down, I got suspended for a week and that's all. My dad didn't get a phone call from your folks or anything, so I figured you were fine." Amina snorted in grim amusement and bitterly drew her knees up to her chin again, wrapping her arms around them. "I had four broken ribs, a punctured lung, and you fractured both of my arms in different places," She quietly told him. "I was out of school for more than two weeks." "Tch, liar," He snorted, sounding a little pissed. "If that's the case, why the hell didn't your folks come screaming for a lawsuit?" A breeze swept across the roof. Amina let her head thump back against the wall. Pink hair brushing against her cheeks, she stared off at nothing with a hazed expression. "They didn't care," She said, voice coming out colder than she'd expected it to. "My injuries were covered by my insurance. They didn't have to pay anything, so for them, it was like there wasn't even a problem. I heard later that while I was laid out in the hospital, my family actually threw a party since I wasn't at home." When she let out a humorless laugh, another, much longer silence came from around the corner, but then his shadow obscured her form and she looked up to see him staring down at her with an intense frown, black hair ruffling slightly in the breeze. "Are you fucking with me?" He demanded, cracking his knuckles and quirking an eyebrow when she froze. "If you are, you're dead! Tell me the truth or I'll beat the shit out of you again, Amina!" Her heart seized. "I'm telling the truth!" She protested, frantically shaking her head. Backing into the wall as much as she could. "I am! I swear!" "Are you?!" He sneered, leaning down. "Because what I just heard sounds like a load of horse shit!" "It's true!" Amina shouted, face twisting up. "You just don't get it!" "You're right, I don't," He snapped, making her flinch. "You were being pushed around for years, even in Elementary! If I were you, I would have left school a long time ago. You should just go home." In an instant, without warning, she snapped and fury roared throughout her chest. Every now and then this anger would surface, quick and unexpected, but completely uncontrollable. Smacking her backpack against the ground and standing up, she clenched her fists and glared up at him. "Go home?! Go home?!" She screeched, making him back off a step with a surprised look. Her body began to glow a faint yellow. "What's your idea of home, huh?! There's no difference between the treatment I get here or there, at all! It's the same either way! At least at school, I know there's an excuse since bullies are fucking everywhere, but home?! That place isn't home, it's hell!" She stood there, heaving for breath, face slightly orange as the yellow mixed with red... but then, her hands unraveled. The truth of her own words had hit her hard. Body leaning to the floor, sagging onto her knees, the yellow glow going away as quick as it came. Her eyes filled with tears that started running down her cheeks before she could stop them. Lifting her hands, she tried to rub them away, but more came out. Murdoc merely stared at her, looking like he didn't know what to make of what she'd just said... hell, he actually looked pretty uncomfortable. Deciding to question the yellow thing later. "So... what are you sayin'?" He demanded, sliding his hands into his pockets. "Your parents... seriously didn't care?" "Nope," Amina sneered, keeping her voice under control but she still sounded hysterical. "To them, not having me around was like having a vacation. At any rate, I'm not going to leave this school until I graduate. I made two deals with my step-dad: No getting in trouble, and if I can manage to get my diploma, I'll be able to move wherever I want and get the hell away from here." His brows raised a bit. "You're dealing with all this shit, just so you can move away?" He asked, not believing his ears. "No way." Finally managing to reign in her feelings, she dried her eyes. "Believe it or not, it's up to you," She muttered, grabbing her backpack and heading for the door. "I'm not the kind of person who gives up. Don't mistake my patience for being docile. If I could I'd Carrie this whole whole." "I have a feeling you're going to leave," Murdoc drawled, taking another puff of his cigarette. "Just sayin'." "You're wrong," Amina retorted, shaking her head. "I'm here till I get my diploma, no matter what." "After what I overheard in the locker rooms today, I highly doubt that," Murdoc snorted, giving her a sarcastic look. "If you can manage staying here for another month , I'll take you out to the movies and tell the whole school it's an official date." Amina stiffened, hand freezing on the doorknob. Despite being a bully, and despite being a huge dickhead to everyone around him… Murdoc Nieves was one of the most popular boys in her school. He was unnaturally tall, broad -shouldered, long-ish black hair, and had a very handsome face... but even more impressive than that, he was actually an intelligent human being. Amina had been shocked about that. A bully getting straight B's and A's was practically unheard of. "No thanks," She said, making him scowl. "There used to be a time when I'd have accepted that sort of offer without a second thought, but you're kind of out of luck." She's had relationships before, she used to be a hopeless romantic, but they all turned sour. At some point she stopped trying. Her first love was a guy from Germany. His name was "Denis", at first it was just early Facebook chats between two pre-teens talking about Gamecube games and it just bloomed, he actually loved her. To the point of singing a song for her. Even though it was just "Hey there, Delilah." With Amina in place of Deliah, she absolutely adored it, she even learned German for him. After learning of her life he wanted to help her out by taking her in when they both have enough money. But he..he had cheated on her. It ruined her for a long while till she met someone again, him being a wiser older guy named "Ben". Who had taken advantage of her sad life and broken heart, nothing sexual had happened as at some point in his plans he didn't account on feeling sorry for her. Then just up and left, even when she pretty much threw herself at him. Denied everything and left her alone. (There's many more) Murdoc searched her eyes as she apparently blanked out for a few seconds. "Fine," He sneered, tilting his head back. Amina shook herself from her past and looked away from him. "If you make it two months, I'll protect you from everything thrown at ya, even make you part of this band I plan to make." That had caught her ear. Whipping around, she looked at him with a startled expression. "Seriously?" Amina scoffed. "Are you joking?" "I don't lie," Murdoc retorted, looking up at her with a condescending expression. "Swear to Satan." "We got a deal?" She was stunned into silence for a moment, as was Nina. 'What the hell is this dude talking about? Swear to Satan?' But when he sneered past the cigarette in his mouth, his bargain finally clicked and a huge grin slid across her face. In a fit of daring courage, she looked down at the nicotine-ridden object with a smug expression; then, with dainty movements, she plucked it right out of his mouth and crushed it under her left foot, ignoring how he jumped to his feet. "Hey!" He angrily bellowed. "The fuck was that for?" Amina merely stared at him with a rare smile. "It was for mocking me," She chimed, leaning over the railing. "We have a deal, Murdoc. Also..what do you mean by part of your band?" "I mean, I'm making a band and we have music class together, you're pretty good with ya fingers Outside of that I sometimes 'ere you sing your woes out after school. Pretty bonkers, Acid." Amina blushed darkly at hearing all that, truly it was a spectacle that he was complimenting her. The only good thing about her day. In the end, however, it wouldn't matter... because this night is when it happened. The incident that changed things forever.

Going home after school was a difficult thing to do, there was no doubt something would happen to her tonight. The last hours of school were a bit tame, getting trash dumped on her, spitballs being hurled at her, almost like they were planning something big and were saving their energy for it. 'You're an absolute idiot, of course they are, and you'll just sit there and take it.' Nina spoke up, making Amina sigh as she shook off extra garbage debris while walking up to her house. Her body anxiously shook, the fear of walking into that place settled in and all she wanted to do then was run away. She made a full 180 and turned to go to the park, to hide there until things cooled down but something grabbed her, a hand grasping her shoulder roughly. Making her roughly turn to face her very angry step-father. "J-juno!?" She covered her mouth quickly from the slip up, he hated her calling him his name. A sign of disrespect in his eyes. "What the hell did you say?" He scowled, making the weakened girl flinch. "I-i'm sorry D-dad, it just slipped out!" She was thrown down to the ground and she squealed in pain as work shoes made contact with her side. No doubt crushing some ribs. "I-I'm sorry!" She chokes out, fighting back tears. Being grabbed up by her hair like this morning, she was dragged into the house. Holly in her playpen doing her own thing, Marcus laughing at her torment, Sally walks in from the kitchen at the sound of the commotion, holding a wine glass full of red wine. She took a sip, swirling around the remaining liquid in the glass. "She actually came home," She laughed, "What a fucking surprise. I was kind of hoping you had jumped off the school roof, but you actually came back.." She wondered how weak and feeble her daughter was, she was pretty much conditioned to all this, now she'd do anything to keep the family afloat and happy. Amina whines and whimpers with the occasional yelp as she was tugged down the stairs, into the basement. "N-no please! I'm sorry! Don't put me down here!" "Get in the room, don't you even think about coming out. You get no dinner or anything, until I come back." Juno growled, as he pushed her to the concrete floor, she looked up to the light seeping through the upstairs door. She was going to be locked in here for 3 days, or more. They knew she hated the dark and anything deemed creepy or scary, so they used her fears to gain an advantage, she looked to the darkening room and then her step-father. "Father please, I'll do anything! I don't want to go into dark room!" She pleaded, this seemed to light a fire in his eyes but he kept his composure. "Get in that damn room!" She squeaks, rushing into the room terrified. She ran into the corner room and sat on the scratchy futon that was always in there. The heavy door swung back to close itself, which made it slam. "Don't you dare slam that door again!" She heard her step-father yell from the stairs. Amina shook with anxiety, panic slowly settling in as she let the tears she's been holding back spill, sliding down the futon until she was sitting on the floor. Pulling her legs up close to hug them, nuzzling her head into her knees, crying into them. The darkness wasn't new to her, she's aimed to get over her fear but it never works out. Her thoughts were amplified with the quiet darkness, along with bad memories. Spending time in the dark was not good for her mental state. At some point she got a bit loud, but she was begging to be free. "Shut up you twat!" Amina sighed, sliding her hands to her face and wiping away the tears, thinking up a plan. 'Useless, useless, useless!' 'You're useless!' Nina shouted, but Amina did her best to ignore her. 'They'll be happier when I'm gone right? I'm going to run, as soon as I get the chance to.' She laid out on the futon, keeping her eyes closed as to not think about the dark so much.

In a lucid state, she wondered what it might be like to see Murdoc perform to a packed house—perhaps she'd join him in front of the footlights one day at some upscale concert hall in New York or maybe even for the Queen of England! The notion of klieg lights and plush velvet curtains only made her ache for her freedom. And when she imagined Murdoc onstage, she also saw 3 other people, maybe she was one of them. He did say he'd let her join. "A lot is on the plate for this business deal, my boss interested me to make sure it goes through." "Yeah yeah, you sure she's alive?" Drunk with sadness, she felt a stranger's breath on her neck and turned her head, sure that she was still dreaming, until she felt the covers pulled back and smelled barley beer, a scent of Old Spice, and avocado. She sensed thick fingers, tugging, rending the fabric of her street clothes. She felt a calloused hand over her mouth as a man's knees parted hers. "W-what? G-get off me!" For the first time in a while she could see in the room, due to the dim lamp Juno had brought in. "Ah! There it is! Look at her struggle!" This was not happening, everything in her went haywire. "Get the fuck off me you cre-!" Her scream for help was muffled as she struggled to fight him off. Amina glared at the shadowy figure of her step-father, horrified as he only grinned back deviously. 'I-is this my punishment? To be..to be..' She felt herself become sick, pain and grief, shock and sorrow, and crushing, suffocating humiliation amid the bristling whiskers on the chin of Juno's business deal, the hair on his legs, and the sweaty folds of his unwashed skin. Her body began to glow, like it did earlier today. "She's glowing. Why is she doing that?" "Just keep going, it's normal for her." She felt him tugging on the wide elastic of her sanitary belt, pausing, then pulling it aside. 'No, no..!' She thrashed with all her might, hysterically. 'No!' She felt stabbing pain, tearing, but she couldn't cry. She closed her eyes. "No!" Her body let off a huge bright yellow shockwave, her eyes a bright green as that mixed with her regular cerulean eyes. The blast had destroyed the room and a bit of the ceiling, her step-father and his client were thrown into the stairwell.

Then the scene faded to black.
