Prologue: A Cycle of Life, Death and Rebirth

Ouroboros, or uroboros, is an ancient symbol of a snake or dragon, eating its own tail. It has many meanings, but one of the most accepted, is the meaning of the eternal cycle of things, eternal struggle, eternal fight or useless effort, due that the cycle will always begin again.

In the era of quirks, you can see everything. From something basic like pyrokinesis to the ability to steal quirks. And between the mix, a quirk that makes sure you won't die.

Izuku Midoriya, first generation of quirk users, has a quirk named, Ouroboros. A quirk that no matter what happens, if his heart stops beating, it will beat again.

Just like the ouroboros eating his tail eternally, no matter what he does, he will live eternally. So, no matter how much he struggles, how much he fights... his death will be a useless effort from his, and anyone's part.

He just wants it to end...

So, he investigated. He learned more and more of anything and everything, to learn how to destroy his quirk and end his life. And everything... doesn't work!

He tested everything. Experimental drugs, for him to puke them out, thanks to his quirk to more brutal methods like chopping his foot just to see it grow again, thanks to his fucking quirk!

He... he lost it. He is aware of it. Because who the fuck cares anymore!? He saw his friends kill each other because of their quirks! He saw one of them become the first villain and start a fucking war! He... he is so tired...

He was forced to improve his quirk. He learned, and managed to make his quirk more than a get out of hell card. He modified his genes, his quirk to make it a weapon. Ouroboros heads and chains come out of his body. Because he knows Tomura is waiting for him to slip up...

And he is waiting him to fuck up, so he can avenge Yoichi... and then... he can start looking for death again.

Then, he met a little girl, who had the answer he was looking for.
