Author's Note: I am so terrible when it comes to delays and writer's blocks with new ideas for new stories surging up again, it's a struggle with so many things going on, but that's no excuse.
In the meantime, hopefully this chapter will really make it up for it.

Chapter 10: A Familiar Face.
Meanwhile, in Holoska back on Mobius...
The peaceful village in Holoska, having gone through five years of torture of the rampage attacks of the Yeti, otherwise known as the Snow Tribe, due to the actions of the cruel Mobian Cheetah, Kaiser the Myth Hunter, before it was finally freed after the misunderstanding was cleared up thanks to the efforts of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sun the Hedgehog and Chip/Light Gaia, lived life in harmony once again and even some of the human villagers began to understand the snow-born creatures yet kept their word on keeping their existence a secret.
Today however, things were getting a little interesting and very confusing. A few days ago, strange little gibberish-speaking creatures that looked like jelly-fish in different shapes and colours. At first the people were frightened, some commenting what the aliens were, what they were doing here and whether or not they were a danger to them, but when Ayla, the five year old daughter of the villager's leader Sierra, gently approached the frightened little Wisps, in the forms of the Cyan, White, Icy-White with blue snow-flake like patterns, a few Star-Beam Wisps, and Twirl-Wisps, the little aliens, also hesitant, peered curiously at the young child before she smiled softly at them.
"It's okay, little people. Don't be scared. I won't hurt you." The young Holoskian girl said softly, carefully rubbing and stroking one of the White-blue Wisps, the Breeze Wisps, which, feeling the warm and gentle touch from her gloved hand, it felt it's tiny little heart leap and cooed happily while almost immediately sensing that she was no threat. She giggled happily as she could tell they were not a threat to anybody either. "Aww! You're all so cute."
The rest of the Wisps, seeing this, hesitantly approached her before realizing the same thing and beamed happily, giving her very friendly greetings despite not being able to speak the same language, babbling in their language with adorable little squeaks. Ayla giggled even more as she began to greet the small creatures which, as her mother and their people watched on in confusion and awe, stared out while two men shared an dumbfounded glance.
"Sierra's kid just made friends with these little...whatever they are." One of the men muttered with a sweat drop, unable to believe what he was seeing.
"Well, you have to admit, they are kind of cute. Not like the Yeti or..." The second man blinked, before shuddering due to terrible memories and not the freezing cold they all grew up accumulated to. "That crazy Myth Hunting killer."
"...Yeah, that's true." His companion ultimately agreed.
By then, the rest of the villagers began to relax as Ayla was not in any form of danger, as she introduced herself, placing a hand to her chest while saying her name slowly, as though she was trying teach them how to speak English. "My name is Ayla. A-Y-L-A. It's so nice to meet you."
While not able to speak the same language as humans and Mobians, the Wisps understood perfectly and nodded in greeting. By this time, Sierra approached with a warm, proud and relieved smile.
"It seems these little ones are very fond of you, Ayla." The child's mother remarked, very impressed with her daughter's way of making friends.
"That's because they're very friendly, Mommy." Ayla nodded in agreement at her mother, before gazing back to the Wisps while saying, feeling rather concerned. "I dunno why, but I think, these little creatures are lost and scared of us more. Maybe they're trying to find their way back home."
Humming in thought as she gazed at the Wisps who, surprised how the young child could understand their feelings, much like how Sonic could sense their emotions even without burrowing their powers and briefly fusing with them unbeknownst to the newer Wisps and the people of Holoska, Sierra gazed carefully at the body-language of the small aliens and placed her hand under her chin.
"I think you're right, sweetheart. Perhaps we should find a way to help them feel more comfortable until we can figure out how to return them safely back home." Sierra muttered in agreement, and like her daughter, her heart felt no hostility coming from the Wisps whose eyes widened in sheer disbelief and hope at her words. "They seem to understand our language, so they are very gentle and friendly."
The Wisps beamed happily and expressed their gratitude by flying around the mother and daughter who laughed and giggled, while the rest of the villagers, now coming to terms in relief that the aliens are very kind, somehow reminded of Sonic's kindness and wondered if the blue hedgehog knew about any of this, approached and slowly but gently began to make friends with them.
Yet further up into the snowy plains of Holoska, halfway to the where the Gaia Temple once was, a rather very small and young looking Yeti, strangely no bigger than Sonic and his friends, was sniffing around curiously far from it's tribe. It was one of the new many born from the female kind of Korso's children, and quite very adventurous. Being young, it looked to be no older than maybe four months old and already getting quite big.
The icy winds of the plains blew across the region, but it did not faze the Snow Tribe as they were born for this kind of weather all year long. Looking around to see new sights of the world before noticing it's own footprints, puzzled, it then realized what it meant and began giggling and made cute squeaky roars while playing around in the snow. It wasn't until the young Yeti then noticed something flying in and out of something glowing in the distance close to a mountain and, tilting it's head slightly, and not understanding the dangers coming from it, it decided to investigate on what it was. The closer it got to the light, the more curious it became, until it reached the bottom of the mountain cliff.
It was a portal leading to somewhere, with a few Wisps flying in and out, some looking frightened, others deciding that it was too cold here and flew back in. The small aliens coming out were either Burst Wisps, Star-Beam Wisps, or Spike Wisps.
Confused on what it was, the young Yeti got up close which the small aliens, who heard the snow being crunched and stepped in and out, turned to see it and, not realizing it was just a baby or knowing what it was, squeaked in panic with their eyes nearly bulging out and flew away in fear, scattering across Holoska, with Spike Wisps never having seen anything like it and, finding the Yeti to be more scary than Dr. Eggman, they too fled for their own safeties.
Likewise, the young snow-creature blinked in confusion, before gazing at the portal and peered through it. Amazed and wanting to know where it would go, the Yeti beamed excitedly as it stepped right through on it's very first adventure.
Not realizing the troubles it would get itself into.
Back on Aquarium Park/Tropical Frost...
Following whatever leads to try and find the piece of the Comet was easier said than done, Sonic's group realized. But that didn't mean they were willing to give up just yet. The hero of Mobius speed and raced across the newly-made beaches while looking side to side for any signs of either the shard, Wisps that need rescuing, or even the Mischief Five who were attempting to take him and keep the blue hedgehog for themselves.
"The Luninia Comet Shard's gotta be around here somewhere." The blue hedgehog muttered, hoping to find it soon before he and his friends run into more trouble. "Just hope it's not too late."
Though given what has happened on Sweet Mountain, the memories of the Food Monsters accidentally created before meeting the Mischief Five where Roller captured him, and Sonic still felt really bad and guilty for the Wisps' current transformation despite trying to not let his negative emotions get to him. While his friends were looking around not that far from where he was as he hurried searched close to where they were, he stopped at the shores of the beach with the waves gently crash against the newly-made sand, deep in thought. He furrowed his eye-ridges in deep concern, unable to stop thinking about the worst case scenarios despite what he's learned so far in the last couple of days.
Realizing he was doing it yet again, Sonic shook his head head firmly while squeezing his eyes shut, whispering to himself. "Get a hold of yourself, Sonic. Now's not the time to go all crazy."
"(Is everything okay, Sonic?)" A familiar voice babbled which was translated on his WCS, startling the blue hedgehog out of his thoughts and looked to his left to see that it was Yacker who, noticing his silence and very concerned expression, hovered over to see what was wrong.
"Oh, hey Yacker." The sixteen year old greeted with a soft smile, before sighing as he scratched the top of his head a little sheepishly. "Yeah, it's fine. Just kinda got lost in thought and, well, I'm really worried about all of your buddies and sibs." Though he lowered his gaze with his smile fading.
"Except that, I can't believe the little bit of Cormain's darkness got to Spirit and corrupting his thoughts and wishes to do something like this. I really thought we were done with that monster for good, especially when he doesn't even exist anymore. Just how much can...can that big monster guy cause trouble to everybody in the whole universe, and time itself?" He confessed a little, sighing in sadness. "I just wish that...I would have known a lot sooner, then none of this would've even happened in the first place."
Seeing that his blue heroic friend was really still feeling responsible even though Sonic tried not to let it get to him, and from what he heard, that Cormain monster sounded really terrible, Yacker held a sad expression and floated a bit closer to him, gently patting the teenage Mobian on the head comfortingly.
"(I'm sorry, Sonic. I didn't know about it either, and I was supposed to help Mama to take care of them.)" Yacker apologetically replied, adding with a hint of sadness and guilt. "(A lot of the baby Wisps really wanted to see you and Tails again, and it's not easy trying to keep them from going for things and people they can't always have.)"
Sonic just smiled in sadness again. "Hey, not everybody can predict the future, li'l buddy. Just glad that you never actually seen Cormain, 'cause that big guy's really a monster and I've seen a lot of giant monsters or even giant people before." He then lightly chuckled. "Heck, I know a guy who had to spend twelve years slowly growing into one, and even after he was cured on a beautiful island called Seaside Island, he still gained the abililty to grow and shrink whenever he wants to."
It was then that Sonic remembered something important that said friend, Gaiver the Gorilla, told him about a month or two ago during his, Amy and Tails' visit to Seaside Island before his birthday, alongside Sun and Star at the time, which he actually forgot about during his Space-Time adventure three weeks back.
Flash-Back: During the events of "Sonic In Between"...
At first confused on what Sonic was talking about, Gaiver soon realized that the young hedgehog was still feeling guilty for not curing him even though he didn't want to burden the teenager. So the larger Mobian sighed before he knelt down to the group's height level, making them all nervous as Sonic looked up again with a soft gasp, but relaxed when he saw no hostility from his giant friend.
"SONIC, I HAVE TOLD YOU BEFORE. THERE WAS NO NEED TO FIND A CURE FOR ME. I HAVE BEEN USED TO MY SIZE FOR TWELVE YEARS. AND FROM WHAT I HEARD, YOU WERE STILL RECOVERING AND DID NOT NEED ANYMORE PRESSURE PUT ONTO YOU. I SIMPLY DO NOT MIND BEING THIS WAY FOR A WHILE LONGER." Gaiver gently reassured.
While he still felt guilty now that he thought of it, and the blue hedgehog had gotten into his head that everything would be fine and he'd find a cure one way or another once he relaxed enough, things had gotten quite busy lately outside of saving the world from other evil threats, that fact that nothing more terrible happened to Gaiver and things had been quite peaceful apart from today at the yard sale, it did make him feel a little bit better.
End of Flash-Back:
Even though Sonic and his friends had been sticking around for a little while and eventually did find a cure, courtesy of Knuckles and Rouge's squabbling for the Master Emerald which ended up being flown onto Seaside Island, they did find a cure for the Mobian Gorilla which made the hero of Mobius feel very relieved and happy now that his friend can live out his life in normal size again.
Remembering this then gave Sonic an idea. He may not want to be held against his will to stay on Planet Wisp for the rest of his life, but that didn't mean he wouldn't oblige for staying there for a little while if it meant for Yacker and the Mother Wisp to take a much needed break. Plus it would give the younger Wisps a chance to play with him before he could return to Mobius.
In fact, he felt like slapping himself for not coming up with this idea to begin with and maybe, if they were lucky enough, this could convince Spirit, Roller, Whacker, Dancer and Racer to not keep him forever but can still enjoy his company for a while with a promise that he and Tails would come back for another visit someday. This gave the hero of Mobius renewed hope with his heart's aching easing up a bit more.
"Maybe when this is over, you and your Mom could take a break for a vacation or something and I stick around on Planet Wisp to look after the others until you guys get back." Sonic suggested with a bright smile, shrugging.
"(Huh!?)" Yacker looked at his Mobian friend, bewildered with a sweat drop before waving his two tentacle arms frantically. "(S-Sonic! Are you sure you w-want to do that? Taking care of babies, especially Spirit and the others, isn't an easy job!)"
"Yeah, but even parents and big brothers need to rest. I've been on babysitting duties before, and look it at this way, the kid Wisps can play with me all they want 'til you come home. Plus, Speed, Cutie, Lily and Ghostly can keep me company." The blue hedgehog smirked, despite that it would be a challenge, but he was all for challenges. He would just have to make sure he wouldn't be sweet-talked or guilt-tripped into staying forever and the more he thought about it, the more he felt that this was a much better alternative.
"(But won't you miss your home planet, Mobius?)"
"Don't worry, I've spent days away from home before. Like when I was in a magic book rescuing genies, and brought to another version of Camelot to help save King Arthur." Sonic reassured with a wink. What happened in Station Square aside, he felt pretty confident that things should be alright, especially that he'll have some help from the older Wisps who would keep the young ones from misbehaving themselves.
As if to prove his point, the cobalt teenager ran back and forth while careful not to hit or crash into his friends or end up underwater. "As long as there's somewhere to run, I'll be happy. I really wouldn't mind staying for a little bit, honest." He then returned and continued. "And with no Baldy McNosehair to worry about, the others can hold the fort 'til I get back home."
While Yacker began to think that it may be a good idea, he really didn't want Sonic to force himself into doing something that was his and the Mother Wisp's sole responsibility. Plus, what if this gave Spirit a chance to keep the blue hedgehog on Planet Wisp forever and somehow convince all Wisps, including those who resist, into really keeping him and never allow him to go back to his home world ever again?
"Just have a think about, 'kay?" The blue hedgehog softly suggested, gently rubbing his favorite alien friend's face to give him comfort. "We'll work something out. I promise."
"(...Okay. If you say so, Sonic. Just please, don't think of this that we want to keep you with us forever. I don't want you to end up feeling like we're holding you against your will.)" Yacker hesitantly nodded, yet feeling a linger of hope as he knew, given their previous adventure with Tails together, Sonic wasn't one to break any of his promises. It began to make him feel a whole lot better, knowing that the teenage hedgehog knew how to cheer others up.
Sonic nodded reassuringly, before he and the cute curl-headed alien turned in the same direction as they heard Amy call out to the former. "Sonic! Over here!"
When the duo looked to see where she was, they found the pink hedgehog girl along with the others having climbed up a snowy lump that acted like a wall of sorts. Curious yet quickly growing very concerned when they noticed the thirteen year old held an expression of urgency as well as deep worry, Sonic and Yacker shared a glance before hurrying over in a matter of micro seconds, climbing up while leaning onto the small hill.
"Look. Over there." Cream whispered, she, Tails, Sun, Star, Knuckles, Speed, Cutie, Lily and Ghostly looking on with mixed expressions. The seven year old girl and the two-tailed fox looking horrified and shocked, Star trying to stop herself from gasping in horror, Sun narrowed his eyes with an angry expression, Cutie and Ghostly looking ready to cry out in dismay, Speed and Knuckles both looking ready to charge in at whatever was going on, and Lily placed her tentacle hands onto her face, shaking her head in horror. Cheese looked on mournfully in fear.
Amy's expression remained in deep worry and horror. When Sonic and Yacker both looked to see what the commotion was about for themselves, the blue hedgehog let out a shocked and horrified soft gasp, while Yacker's eye widened in pure dismay. Across the make-shift ocean-river bank between the sandy beaches and the icy cold terrians, more of those snow-monsters, the Snow-Ball types and the Flying-Icicle-Flakes were freezing and trapping more Wisps who tried to get away, before the former types grabbed hold of the frozen little aliens who all had become helpless with fearful expressions, and carried them away while the latter types muttered something in snow-gibberish, with two of the mutant snowballs nodding, before walking off with their companions following them.
The sight of his alien friends being captured like that made Sonic's blood boil as he gritted his teeth in fury, but held back his anger to avoid in getting himself and his friends captured as well. To make things worse as the snow-monsters approached the shores, they shared a look before breathing out icy cold winds which froze the water, transforming it into an icy lake. With that task down, the monsters that could walk began marching onto the frozen ocean towards somewhere else.
"Those snow monsters freeze the water so that they can cross without falling in." Tails remarked in a whisper.
"Does that mean they can't swim?" Cream asked, curiously yet fearing for the poor Wisps' lives and freedom.
"Chao, chao?" Cheese chirped, also confused.
"It doesn't work like that, cream. The water can be cold, but even that's still too warm for ice to last forever given the sunlight shining down on us." Sonic explained firmly, still glaring at the monsters retreating. "There's gotta be a way to save them and melt those things without turning into icicles ourselves."
"Do you really have to do through all the jokes today, Sonic?" Sun asked in exasperation with a sweat drop.
"I'm gonna smash those things into unrecognizable piles!" Knuckles grunted furiously with gritted teeth, clutching his fists as he made to go out there and save the Wisps himself, only to be quickly held back by his friends who, softly gasping in dismay and panicking over his recklessness, quickly pulled him back to the sandy ground.
"Steady." Sonic whispered firmly, placing a hand onto his older friend's shoulder to calm him down. "We gotta figure out how to stop them and save the Wisps, 'cause I don't wanna have them in the line of fire."
"He's right. We can't take too many risks." Sun nodded in agreement, while the others could only look on worriedly, and the two hedgehogs shared those feelings. They had to hurry or else those Wisps were done for.
Realizing that his two friends were right, and, remembering how he ended up stuck and trapped in the conjoined giant marshmallow monsters in the Jelly Castle, the red echidna took a deep breath to calm down and nodded in agreement and determination. "Right, after we save the Wisps, then I smash those monsters into piles."
Unbeknownst to the heroes, underwater several more Wisps were swimming away along with the sea creatures who had much less water than ever before, squealing out in garbled fear as different types of sea monsters, some made out of sea-weed, others made out of clam-shells that were chomping away to get any prey coming in their sights. One of the Wisps, a Burst Wisp that can be underwater despite that it can't use it's powers at this stage, was fleeing until it along with another red-spike Wisp, and a Breeze Wisp came swimming quickly towards the surface with the sea-weed monsters chasing after them with angry snarls.
"So how can we fight against those things without slipping on ice?" Amy asked, worriedly as she and the others tried to come up with a plan.
"The only way to do that is we had enough heat to melt them. Problem is, none of us are equipped with any of that." Tails explained in disappointment and slight hopelessness.
"The only thing I can think of is the Burst Wisps, but they could be miles from here." Sonic shrugged, his arms folded to his chest.
"Anybody got a blow torch or something?" Sun asked sarcastically.
Before the conversation could continue, suddenly Cheese and the Wisps heard the sounds of bubbling which quickly got their attention and turned to the shores, which caused the Mobians to look at them in confusion.
"What's wrong with them?" Knuckles asked, blinking.
"Uh...guys? I think we're in for another problem." Star began worriedly as she was the first to notice the bubbling from the water, making the rest of her friends to turn and see what she was talking about only for their eyes to widen in shock and growing fear.
"Oh, great! Now we've got sea monsters on top of everything else!" The hero of Mobius cried out with a sweat drop, his heart racing.
The bubbles soon became to become more violent as Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese, along with Ghostly huddled up on Sonic's both sides, Star, Cutie, and Lily doing the same with Sun, and Speed and Yacker hovered beside Knuckles as even the Master Emerald Guardian was getting really scared. The group whimpered, stepping back nervously while Sonic, Sun and Knuckles to mask their fears, letting out half-screams as soon as something burst out of the water like jets.
Only except it wasn't sea monsters at all, but the Burst, Breeze and the Red-Spiky Wisps to emerge quickly and landed at the group's feet on the dry sand, panting in exhaustion at the close call of escaping the actual mindless creatures themselves. The poor little aliens were soaking wet, utterly traumatized from their ordeal.
"Huh?/(Huh?)" Sonic and his friends murmured in shock, confusion and soon relief, before they sighed with the latter feeling.
"It's three more Wisps. Boy, they nearly scared the heck outta people." The blue hedgehog breathed while placing a hand to his chest.
Yacker and the other traveling Wisps, almost instantly recognizing the exhausted Wisps that managed to avoid in being captured, flew over and began to comfort them, the curl-headed Wisp, Speed, Cutie and Lily all rubbing the trio's heads.
"(Are you okay? What happened? We were very worried about you!)" Ghostly cried out worriedly.
"(G-Ghostly? Big Brother Yacker? Lily, Speed and Cutie?)" The white-blue Wisp asked, as it and the other two aliens looked up, before sighing in sheer relief yet beginning to tear up while adding, apparently guilt-ridden and scared. "(We're sorry...We didn't mean to cause any problems!)"
"(Whaddya mean?)" Speed asked, dumbfounded at first before he, and soon the rest of the Wisps who, shocked, disappointed and dismayed, realized and held a 'frown' in his eyes. "(Hold on...You guys were following Spirit's idea of fun and try and keep Sonic and Tails forever too, weren't you?)"
The three wet Wisps nodded somberly, with the Red-Spiky Wisp confirming. "(We thought it would be a great idea, especially since we really wanted to play with Sonic and Tails, that we thought we'd help Spirit to try and convince them to stay with us forever and never go away ever again.)"
"(Well, I didn't, but I couldn't say anything since if they found out that I was more than happy just to have them visit us once and while and not force our heroes to stay, I'd be in big trouble...More so than we already all are right now.)" The Burst Wisp muttered, as it and the other two tired and guilt-ridden Wisps lowered their gazes. "(But...ever since that shiny star landed here, and changed this world with scary monsters around, we all realized we made a really big mistake...)"
The group of Mobians, sharing a glance of concern as they quickly realized that these three Wisps were more of Spirit's followers yet at the same time they began to realize the transformed Jade-Ghost Wisp's ideas were awful, all held sympathetic looks before Sonic approached and knelt before the tired aliens who noticed them and held shocked, amazed and increasing guilt-ridden expressions upon seeing the hero of Mobius, who to them had become the Hero of the Wisps.
"Hey, don't feel bad, little guys. It wasn't your fault." Sonic reassured, smiling softly to give them as much comfort as he can offer. "We know what's really going on in Spirit's head, and we'll figure out a way to get him to realize his mistakes, and then return everything back to normal."
"(Huh?)" The Burst, Breeze and Red-Spiky Wisps gazed at him, baffled.
"I know you guys really wanted to see me and Tails, and I'm deeply sorry for taking so long for coming to visit, and that we can't stay in your home world forever. But what Spirit's doing isn't really his own thoughts. Or..." The blue hedgehog trailed off, a bit awkwardly while he sweat dropped, realizing he had no idea how to break the bad news. "How should I put it?"
But before Sonic could continue explaining things to them, suddenly the water's surface bubbled up again which caused him to gasp in confusion while the rest of his friends looked to see, to their shock, horror and disbelief, the Sea-weed monsters beginning to come out, snarling furiously. The three Wisps that managed to escape them squealed in horror while the rest of the group nearly cried out in alarm with the hero of Mobius, realizing this was why the cute little aliens were exhausted, quickly scooped them up and leaped back with the rest of the aliens joining him, and everyone else gaped in disbelief.
"Okay, so there really are sea monsters here after all!" Sonic cried out, as Tails tried not to scream despite panicking, Amy and Star standing close to Cream and Cheese who both leaned against the two female hedgehogs, whimpering in fear despite they were scared as well, Sun raised an eyebrow dumbfounded as he didn't see that coming, and Knuckles stood ready, softly growling at more monsters that came to attack and/or capture them.
"Like that's gonna stop me!" The red echidna declared, and charged with a loud yell just as the Sea monsters, seeing him while walking onto the shore, charged as well. But the teenage Guardian dodged their attempts to attack and capture him which made him punch them rapidly onto their chests...
Only that like with the Marshmallow monsters, his fists went straight through them, much to his dismay as he sweat dropped nervously with deja vu hitting him, and to make matters worse, the seaweed on the creature's bodies coiled onto his arms and pinned them to his sides, trapping him. Knuckles grunted and hissed with his friends calling out to him in horror and Amy could be heard screaming, "Oh no!"
Despite this, not willing to be held captive again, the red echidna attempted to break free with his strength just as more and more of them began to emerge from the ocean and began surrounding Sonic and the rest of the group who cried out with gasps while finding themselves trapped again with the two male hedgehogs narrowing their eyes in sheer annoyance as they, Tails who tried to force back his fear at the situation, Amy, Star, Yacker and Speed attempted to shield Cream and Cheese, and the other Wisps who were all frightened and huddled more closely to their older friends and family.
"I love the ocean, but sea weed has always rubbed me the wrong way!" Amy hissed, having had enough of being captured as she quickly summoned her Piko Piko Hammer, and snarled at the monsters who, seeing her furious look, actually flinched a little in fear. "Time to say goodbye!"
Much to everyone's surprise and disbelief, the pink hedgehog actually managed to whack one of the monsters hard that not even the softness of it's seaweed body could save it and it was flown straight into the air, over the ocean and landed into a pile of snow where it, emerging, froze up almost instantly before vanishing. She wasn't done yet as the livid teenage girl repeatedly thrust her hammer at other monsters who tried to get to her, only to foolishly be either bashed away, or even squashed flat into piles of seaweed which made her friends and especially her boyfriend to sweat drop nervously.
"...Okay. It's official. She really scares me." Sun whispered uneasily, remembering how Sonic once told him and Chip about Amy's anger towards Eggman two years ago, and seeing how she managed to scare Keith in Spagonia made him realize just how terrifying she was.
"When it comes to Amy's anger, you don't want to mess with her." Sonic and Tails both softly chorused nervously.
Deciding to worry about Amy's anger issues later with some of the monsters she isn't busy with attempting to catch them off-guard, the rest of the group turned their attentions to their enemies as Sonic narrowed his eyes, declaring. "I'm gonna turn you punks into outer layers of sushi!"
Even though he knew it might not work, the cobalt hedgehog knew he had to take the risk and used his Homing Attack to slice into the seaweed monsters and unlike Knuckles, he successfully managed to knock them away and shred them into tiny pieces of, well, seaweed that scattered all over the place. Seeing this made both Sun and Tails, who shared a glance with a nod of determination, copy their brother's move and soon the four friends were fighting the monsters while the rest stayed back this time as they knew that the seaweed monsters were tougher than the Food Monsters and the Breeze and Red-Spiky Wisps, watching the Mobians in action, had their eyes widened in amazement to see the two main heroes actually fight. Seeing Sonic and Tails bravely do this made it more astonishing than in the stories they heard for their whole lives so far.
Seeing this made Knuckles grunt before he fought even harder until with a loud roar of determination, managed to use most of his strength break the seaweed ropes apart, much to the shock of his captors who let out gurbled sounds which sounded like gasps.
"You're gonna regret in messing with me, sea-plants!" The furious red echidna growled, before he grabbed hold of both of the monsters by their chests and held them easily above his head and spun them around rapidly as they cried out in fear. Then he tossed them back out to the ocean where they landed in big splashes, disappearing upon impact.
Though no matter how hard the group fought against the seaweed monsters that were attempting to capture them, more of them emerged to make things more difficult and the Mobians were starting to become exhausted, panting away yet tried their best to keep going and not give up.
"Tails! Double-Team-Work!" Sonic, having an idea, held out his hand to his younger brother in a desperate attempt to at least find an opening to get out of this mess.
"Okay!" Tails nodded, holding hands with his older brother as they both jumped into the air before performing the Double-Spin-Dash, crashing into about at least fifteen or maybe ten of the monsters, knocking them down as the furious creatures let out roars and cries while attempting to attack them only to be vanquished by the two surrogate brothers.
Even the Wisps, now realizing that their Mobian friends needed help, joined in on the fight with Speed using Spin Dash on a couple of the monsters, Ghostly using her powers to become imate which caused the two monsters charging at her from both sides to crash into each other and she flew upward while they slumped to the ground, knocked unconscious before fading away, the Burst Wisp using it's flaming power to burn a few monsters into crisp where they crumbled into ashes, and even the Breeze Wisp spun around while turning into the very same icy-flake form that Sonic briefly turned into by using the power of the Star-Beam's Wish ability, freezing five more of the seaweed monsters who, with frozen and lifeless horrified expressions, vanished into thin air.
This amazed the Mobians when they saw this and Sonic whispered, finally realizing and having correctly assumed a short time ago. "You must be one of the Breeze Wisps Speed talked about."
"Uh-huh!" The Breeze Wisp nodded, beaming happily for the blue heroic hedgehog to have correctly guessed and he smiled in amazement.
"Wow! That's amazing!" The hero of Mobius breathed in awe, right before he was forced to fight more monsters that kept on coming, much to his and everyone else's irritation and dismay.
"Ugh! I wish I was faster than this! This is getting on my nerve!" Amy grunted, quickly bashing away yet another monster while beginning to grow very exhausted, panting.
Realizing this was starting to get them nowhere, unaware that underwater a giant whale, seeing what was going on as more and more monsters attempted to reach the shores, narrowed it's eyes before swimming straight towards them and used it's tail to bash away most of the army who, seeing it coming from their right far too late, let out horrified gurbles before being defeated and vanquished by the enormous sea creature, Sonic and the others once again ended up regrouped and stuck in the middle with fifteen more surrounding them, slowly closing in on the heroes in a menacing way.
This made Sonic have a desperate idea even though he didn't like it one bit. These monsters were over-alarmingly huge in numbers and unless he had another way of doing this, there was no other choice but that didn't mean he was going to like it.
'I'm gonna regret this.' The cobalt teenager thought to himself while squeezing his eyes shut, before turning to Breeze who glanced at him and, gesturing at itself, then to him and at the monsters, he realized it had the same idea, so he reluctantly nodded. "Ready, little guy?"
"(Ready when you are, Sonic!)" The Breeze Wisp nodded, determined to help it's hero and to make things right and atone for having gone with Spirit's bad idea of fun.
"Let's do this!" Sonic responded, and braced himself as the white-blue Wisps dissolved before fusing into his chest and while the Burst Wisp back the first time made him feel so hot he wanted to burst out into flames, the Breeze Wisps' powers were the complete opposite. So much so that it was so cold he shuddered and shivered, feeling his body temperature drop rapidly as his teeth began to chatter, almost like he really was about freeze up and while he already had the taste of it with Sparkle, this was the full real power of this Wisp. Almost like his body was about to become...
"ICE!"
With that exclaim, Sonic transformed into an icicle form before he, like back on Sweet Mountain, flew around and hit and blew right into the seaweed monsters who let out agonized roars of pain, and almost in an instant became frozen that all of them were unable to stop the hero of Mobius or the Breeze Wisp's combined power and ability. In less than a minute, the creatures were turned into solid ice-cubes before disappearing into sparkles, finally defeated.
Seeing this while the sixteen year old hedgehog returned to normal with the Breeze Wisp coming out of his body, the rest of the group all sighed in relief and slumped a little, with those who fought panting and Amy loosening her grip on her hammer.
"Finally. I thought we'd never stop fighting those things." Sun groaned, placing a hand to his chest.
"Is everybody alright?" Sonic asked in concern, only to become relieved when his friends and family responded that they were and smiled, before turning his attention to the Breeze Wisp, with a hint of guilt in his eyes. "Sorry I had to burrow you powers, little guy. I didn't know how else to stop those things."
"(It's okay. I wanted to share my power with you, anyway.)" The Icy-Powered alien replied, waving it's tentacle arm in front of it's face.
"Yeah, but, even with how powerful you guys are, to be honest, I'm still scared of even using just a little bit of your Hyper-Go-On." The blue hedgehog shrugged, more than a little upset with himself for having done so. "I'm really grateful for all your help, but I don't wanna rely on powers just save the day. I wanna be able to do that without any sort of magic powers to keep me going."
He lowered his gaze with a sigh as he scratched he top of his head. "But I guess sometimes it just can't be helped. I...I'm really sorry. I'm not that great of a hero. I just gotta do what I gotta do, and that's to do the right thing."
The Wisps that followed Spirit's example, as well as Speed, Cutie, Ghostly and Lily were quite surprised to hear Sonic say this, while the rest of the group could only gaze at him with worried expressions, knowing that despite having fully recovered after the last adventure involving the Wisps three months ago, there were times he still felt slight twinge of misplaced guilt over Eggman's actions that weren't even the blue hedgehog's fault. Now the burden of being the hero was once again overweighing his shoulders and to make matters worse, some of the Wisps wanted to keep him for themselves even though Spirit was being corrupted by the left over darkness of Cormain.
"But that doesn't mean I'm gonna quit now." Sonic declared, after taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, gazing at the Wisps once again with his determination rising up. "I won't stop until I figure out how to save the rest of your kind, talk sense into Spirit and save him before it's too late. I can't stay in your world, but that doesn't mean I won't protect it, or come and visit once and a while."
Seeing how Sonic was fully determined to set things right once again, and to convince their brother Spirit that his ideas were not going to work out as they had hoped, the Breeze, Burst and the Red-Spiky Wisp all teared up in guilt and remorse, before they began to cry and hugged the blue hedgehog while startling him a little, profusely apologizing once again. Feeling his heart ache over their actions, Sonic just gently hugged them back while closing his eyes in an attempt to comfort the weeping adorable little aliens.
"Shhhh...It's gonna okay, little guys. It's okay..." Sonic whispered, gently rocking them back and forth, while the hearts of his friends melted with sympathy over the blue hedgehog's kindness towards others. Even though he went through such emotional trauma in the recent months, he always knew how to comfort many other people.
His compassion was always so strong that it was, along with his love for his friends, family and for both Mobius as well as Planet Wisp, protected him from being corrupted by all kinds of negativity and evil. Sonic's heart truly made him the chosen one of almost anything that made him have a connection with.
Eventually the embrace ended as Sonic and the three Wisps slowly parted, with the Burst Wisp sighing with a sad look. "(I really owe you for not helping to stop Spirit from causing all of this.)"
"(And we owe you an apology for agreeing with his idea too. It isn't fair to you and you saved us. We just wanted to meet you for real and play with you.)" The Red-Spiky Wisp added, slumping a little.
"We're not gonna hold it against ya'. You made a bit of a bad call, that's call. But I've met guys who did way worse: Like Eggman for example, and even guys that were worse than he was." The teenage Mobian responded, and his friends nodded in agreement.
"(How much worse than what we did?)" The Breeze Wisp asked, worriedly as though what Sonic and the others have experienced couldn't be any worse than Spirit's actions.
"Well, compared to what we've seen and went through, monsters aside, this is nothing." Tails pointed out with a shrug knowingly.
"That's true, 'cause I had my fair share of mistakes and I probably have one of the worst judgements in people in the whole universe." Knuckles sighed, feeling deep remorse and sympathy as he understood what these little guys were going through, approaching the confused Wisps while adding with a slight somber look. "When I first met Sonic and Tails, I was tricked by Dr. Eggman into thinking they were enemies, when he was the one who was truly evil. Sadly, even as the misunderstanding was eventually all cleared up, I kept on getting tricked uncomfortably too easily. How could I have let him fool me like that?"
"Well, Ro-butt-nik is a trickster and a liar, that's the for sure. Starline wasn't any better even if he was a beak-faced idiot." Sun muttered to himself, pointing out the obvious but made sure his older friend didn't hear him.
Everyone was silent for a moment, before the red echidna shrugged with a sad smile. "Maybe it's because living in one place your whole life makes you not fully understanding out the outside world is really like, or without knowing who you can really trust. I know for the fact that Sonic's the most honest guy in the whole universe. I just have...really terrible trusting issues until now, and I wouldn't trade him or anybody else."
The more Sonic and the others heard the heart-felt speech coming from Knuckles of all people, the more they all smiled warmly and happily over his point while the three rebelling Wisps, realizing that the red echidna and the blue hedgehog were right, nodded in agreement while starting to feel a whole lot better.
"My point is, the more you want something without realizing the actual consequences, the more you tend to go all crazy. I'm not saying that Spirit isn't fully like that, but it's not too late to save him from that corruption. Like how you guys realize your mistakes a lot quicker than I did." Knuckles continued, smiling warmly now.
"(Wow...Thanks Mr. Red-Guy. You're right. We'll be more careful and responsible from now on!)" The Breeze Wisp declared happily, with the Burst and the Red-Spiky Wisp fully agreeing with it.
"No problem, and, you can call me Knuckles." The Master Emerald Guardian smirked, giving the three small aliens a fist-bump which they happily returned as it lightened the mood in agreement.
"Oh, that's so sweet of you." Star beamed happily, her hands clasped together, which made Knuckles startled a little before he realized what she meant and looked away slightly, blushing on his muzzle.
"Well, I...yeah, thanks for putting it that way, Star." He muttered, slightly embarrassed. While the red echidna did care a lot about his friends who were the only family he ever had, Knuckles really wasn't used to making others feel better and anytime they caught him being soft or giving out support, it left him feeling a little awkward.
"Well, it is a nice way to put it, Knuckles." Sonic praised, before half-teasingly pointed out. "But...Doesn't change the fact that you're a sucker." He chuckled with a grin, much to his older friend's quick annoyance.
"Why I oughta...!" The seventeen year old grunted, a vein/tick squeezing on his head, while the others chuckled and laugh light-heartedly.
"I think we should rescue the other Wisps and find that shard." Amy suggested before another bickering between her boyfriend and the red echidna would break out again.
Realizing that she was right and remembering the captured Wisps taken away by the snow monsters, the rest of the group shared glances while the newly joined Wisps, hearing this, blinked in confusion before they gazed at each other and, still wanting to atone for wrongly following Spirit's example, nodded as they knew what to do.
"(Maybe we can help.)" The Burst Wisp suggested, surprising the rest of the group. "(It's our thanks for saving us from those seaweed monsters.)"
Blinking at the offer, Sonic and his friends thought about it, and even though he wasn't comfortable for using the fiery alien's power, he knew at this stage that desperate times calls for desperate measures. Especially since the other aliens were being taken further and further away as they speak and as he's the only one who can run fast even on ice if he's careful, it was their only chance to even melt those icy monsters. Which was strange considering there were now two types of them in this newly transformed world: The snow monsters which seem to dominate the frozen parts, and the sea monsters that were apparently dominating the ocean and newly formed tropical islands.
"In that case, then we could use some help, little guy. If it's okay with you, I need to burrow your burst power to free your buddies from those creepy snowmen." Sonic finally agreed, mentally reluctant but gave the Burst Wisp a wink and a smirk.
"(Leave it to me!)" The cute fiery-alien saluted.
"We'll go up ahead, you guys wait here for us." The blue hedgehog instructed the rest of the group who nodded in agreement, and once again sharing words of being careful despite not knowing what else they would find, he and the Burst Wisp then dashed off over the hill and onto the newly made icy path.
"Good luck." Amy whispered, hopefully as she felt deep in her heart that something else was about to happen. She could only pray that her beloved blue hedgehog would be alright.
"(Isn't Sonic just the coolest?)" The Red-Spiky Wisps remarked excitedly, twirling around in a mid-air somersault. "(The way how he saved us with the others! In fact, they're all so cool! Cooler than we heard in the cool stories!)"
"(Okay, okay, we get the idea. You don't need to say cool all the time. Not to mention that they way how you're saying it is...how do other people say it? No fun intended?)" The Breeze Wisp sighed in exasperation, shrugging while shaking it's head.
"The correct term for that saying is "No pun intended"." Sun pointed out with a sigh, facepalming himself. 'Great, these guys love Sonic so much that some of them are starting to make jokes just like him.'
But little did everybody know that underwater the giant Whale, finding a tunnel big enough for it to fit and heading straight towards the same location where the duo had gone to, swam through as it felt the urge and need to do so.
Further up ahead, the four snow monsters that were still freezing the waters and heading straight towards the icicle palace in the distance with the imprisoned Wisps as their captives. The creatures let out snickers with garbled languages when they suddenly heard a strange whooshing sound of...something running and another thing really hot and flaming coming up behind them.
This came along with a young male's voice shout out. "Hey!"
Pausing in their steps and puzzled, the giant snow-balls and snow-flakes slowly turned around to see, unbeknownst to them, Sonic racing straight towards them with the Burst Wisp flying beside him, both looking determined and angry.
"You let our friends go, or we'll melt ya's!" Sonic exclaimed, his eyes narrowed as he and his companion got closer and closer.
"(Yeah, leave them alone, you big bullies!)" The Burst Wisp added, glowing in hot red and orange aura, ready to melt the snow monsters.
But the monsters simply just glared at the incoming 'intruders' and, seeing the teenage Mobian with another small alien, the two giant snowballs just ended up creating more non-moving snowballs and tossed them at the two companions who, softly gasping in shock, quickly maneuvered out off the way to the side and jumped, ran and flew swiftly with ease no matter how many were thrown at them. Yet they had to be careful in not to break the ice or for Sonic to fall into the water without activating his Sea-Mask.
"Ha! You're too slow! You're gonna have to do better than that!" Sonic chuckled confidently.
The monsters didn't take kindly to his taunt, however, as they quickly grew angry before they created more snowballs, this time with the snow-flake shaped monsters blowing icy wind onto them and creating sharp icicles sticking out into giant hard-solid ice-spike balls, much to the horror of the blue hedgehog and the Wisp who both sweat dropped with gasps.
"Uh-oh!" The hero of Mobius exclaimed, his eyes shrinking back a little, before yelping as he and the Burst Wisp leaped out of the way again only for the the icicle-balls to hit the ice and cracking it apart, breaking the surface with water being freed and beginning to become too far for him to race back to his friends.
"OH NO!" Sonic screamed in dismay as he realized this far too late, leaving him trapped on the other side with the Wisps and the monsters who, seeing that they now had the advantage, were about to use their powers to freeze and capture both him and the Burst Wisp, causing the two to realize they had to end this quickly. "You ready for this?"
"(When you are!)" The fiery-alien quickly nodded, and fused right into Sonic's chest before the monsters end up capturing them as well.
"Here we go! BURST!" The cobalt speedster shouted, transforming into the burst form and blazed his way right into the icicle-balls, melting them almost instantly as well as safely flying through the icy winds that were no match for fire, even though some of the melted water and hot aura caused the frozen surface to melt as well.
But Sonic and the Burst Wisp could only focus on blasting into the snow monsters as their shared heat and power melted them, causing the creatures to roar in agony until they vanished into puddles of water and resulting in the frozen Wisps to be freed. The type of Wisps were a Hover Wisp, a Cube Wisp and another Hammer Wisp who, shivering due to having been in the ice for so long, flew around happily and in relief now that they were freed, while noticing the heroic duo who landed on a large ice float that had been broken off from the created path and the two de-merged with Sonic returning to normal.
"Well, that sure was hot, but at least it kept us warm from being turned into ice cubes." Sonic sighed half-jokingly, making the Burst Wisp giggle in amusement.
Just then the newly freed Wisps, two recognizing the hero of Mobius and the third, purely excited and squealing like crazy to actually be in the presence of the cobalt hedgehog himself, flew over and happily hugged him on the face, nuzzling him which made the teenager laugh once more over their cute and overwhelming affections.
"O-okay, okay, guys! Ha ha ha ha ha! T-Take it easy, will ya?" Sonic chuckled, before he gently pushed them off while carefully stroking their bodies which made them beam and coo at his touch. "I'm just glad that you're all okay."
Yet when they were embracing over this small victory of the hedgehog and Burst Wisp's successful rescue, the group then looked around and found, to his dismay and horror, that he was now trapped on the ice burg too far from either shore of the snow and the beach which made him sweat drop worriedly, which concerned his alien friends, all unaware that a huge figure of an ever larger sea monster that was made out of both seaweed and clams swimming towards them with a dark look in it's gleaming yellow eyes.
"That's...really complicated." The blue hedgehog muttered uneasily, trying not to sound shaky before he quickly slipped his Sea-Mask on and activated it. "Guess I'll have to quickly run over the water and hope that I don't sink."
"(Maybe we can carry you to the shore.)" The Hover Wisp suggested, and the others Wisps all nodded in agreement.
"Hmm...You sure it's okay? You guys did go through being frozen by those snow monsters, and this little guy just help me to rescue you." Sonic asked, only for him and his friends to flinch in fright with soft gasps when they heard a combination of a roar, something swimming underwater beneath them and a strangely familiar musical moaning which made their hearts skip beats.
Nervously looking over the edge of the ice platform, the group's eyes widened in horror as they let out half-screams when in the small distance a great big sea creature with seaweed and clam all over it's body, shaped like a whale while black in colour, sharp teeth with a shark's tail and fins came splashing to the surface with a roar, causing waves that nearly knocked the hero of Mobius off as he cried out in alarm while trying to keep his balance. The group then shared horrifed glances with wide eyes.
"You know what? Let's go with your idea before we end up being fish food!" The blue hedgehog suggested in growing panic, and the Wisps all nodded in agreement. They all gasped when they then saw the giant sea monster then swimming straight towards them, it's mouth wide open and ready to engulf them for an easy meal, and screamed in terror.
Fearing for their lives as well as Sonic's, the Wisps quickly combined their powers to create the magical sphere which engulfed the blue hedgehog and made to float up to escape but found that it was faster than it looked and they all shouted in horror before squeezing their eyes shut, bracing themselves for their end by squeezing their eyes shut while Sonic wished that Speed was here. Before the giant monster could gobble up and swallow them whole, the giant whale from earlier came bashing it right underneath, flinging it into the air as the whale then used it's tail to whack it across towards the more solid snow parts of the transformed world. The monster roared in agony as it was hit hard before crashing into the snow, inadvertently squashing more of the Snow Monsters who cried out in alarm when they saw it descend towards them and tried to escape, only to meet their demise, all fading without a trace.
Whimpering in fear as they didn't want to see their deaths by being eaten, Sonic and the Wisps soon quickly found that they were okay as they could hear more splashing and nervously opened their eyes, softly gasping in shock to see the huge normal but giant whale, who, splashing back into the water, resurfaced more gently and gazed at them. It held a gentle smile at them, mainly onto the hero of Mobius. At first he didn't recognize it, but seeing it's size and expression, his eyes widened in disbelief as memories came flooding back.
The giant whale who he at first thought was going to eat him, but really swallowed him up just to help him get to a certain place quicker, and then helped him to fight the robot submarine and the ride back to the broken generator.
"No way..." Sonic breathed, before he smiled in relief and happiness upon seeing a familiar and friendly face. "It's you! I can't believe it!"
Nodding to confirm his suspicions, the whale made a musical gentle sound relieved to see the kind, adventurous and very brave young Mobian who laughed happily while the Wisps, having heard the stories from Yacker about Sonic's experience in meeting the sea creature, all sighed in relief with the Burst Wisp wiping it's forehead, before they flew over to the frozen shore where it and the blue hedgehog came from earlier, gently setting him down while the whale turned to face them carefully, looming over the smaller visitors.
"Long time no see, big guy. It's great to see you!" Sonic greeted happily.
The Whale nodded in agreement before it gently nuzzled at the blue hedgehog who laughed as he then leaned against it to hug it's face as much as he could, feeling very safe knowing that the whale had saved him and the Wisps.
"Thanks a bunch for saving us. I really missed you." The sixteen year old muttered, gently rubbing it's wet but smooth skin which the Whale moaned softly in affection, both closing their eyes.
While the Wisps stared in confusion before sharing a glance as though wondering if Sonic was wiling to make friends with anybody, the hero of Mobius and the giant Whale continued their reunion for little while longer before the cobalt teenager stood back as he and the huge sea-mammal smiled, until he realized that, due to what's happened with the world, softly gasped before lowering his gaze a little in guilt. This was the second time Aquarium Park had a forceful transformation, only this time was because of the Lunina Comet Shard as well as Spirit being slowly corrupted by the linger of Cormain's darkness.
"I bet you're wondering what's going on and you know that me and my friends are trying to turn everything back to normal, huh?" Sonic muttered, his ears drooping as the fear of being blamed surged up. Then a quick terrible thought also came into his mind and he tried to suppress the urge to shudder as well as push back the thoughts of his large whale friend being angry and...maybe really eat him this time for real.
That really terrified him a whole lot.
The giant whale nodded, confirming his suspicions.
"I'm sorry. This time it's different 'cause Eggman, well...He's gone. That guy died not long after I freed your planet from his amusement park." The sixteen year old sighed, scratching the top of his head, admitting. "The thing is, it's because of a lingering darkness of a giant monster I had to fight and defeat three weeks ago that somehow managed to escape, it corrupted one of the Wisps just try get me and Tails to stay on their planet forever, and pretty much caused what we call the Lunina Comet to shatter into pieces which one of them landed here and that's why this world transformed into, well, a Tropical Frost or whatever."
He then quickly said with a hint of pleading in his voice. "But we're doing everything we can to find that shard and turn your world back to the way it should be! I promise that everything will go back to normal, and I'll make sure that this doesn't happen again."
Despite being shocked on what it was hearing, especially now it fully understood how this all happened in the first place, the giant sea creature could tell that Sonic really wanted to solve all this and from what it could tell, he looked and even felt guilty. Yet the whale knew, he was not to blame. From the moment it laid it's eyes on the teenager three months ago, it knew that he was the one who would set things right and the fact that he was here now proved that he had a pure heart within himself. Noble, heroic, kind, caring, brave and fully honest. It was the similar story to the Wisps as they too had been victims due to Dr. Eggman's actions.
Now one of their own was a victim of an evil darkness from a terrible monster who also caused problems before, yet it's darkness somehow got away and chose a Wisp as it's host.
Shaking it's head with a understanding look in it's eyes, the whale gently nuzzled Sonic's body again, making him nearly fall over but chuckled lightly while the Wisps hovered by and bowed their heads in deep apology, the sea creature this time gently nuzzled them which surprised the four aliens before they giggled while being tickled at the same time.
"(Whoa, the giant whale is really friendly and I think he's very forgiving too!)" The Hammer-Wisp remarked, beaming.
"Sure is." Sonic agreed, rubbing his nose while feeling huge relief sweep over him. "I can't wait to see Knux's face when he sees this big guy."
He then gaped in surprise before smirking at the giant whale. "Hey, that reminds me. My other friends are on the other side of that hill over there. Wanna go meet them?"
The giant Whale nodded, and gestured it's head to the water and even though Sonic then thought at first he realized it couldn't get to the other side, when he and the Wisps looked, the Hover Wisp then had an idea and dove under to take a look.
"Hey, where are you goin'?" Sonic cried out, confused. "There might be more of those sea monsters down there!"
Swimming underwater to see what the whale was trying to tell it and the others, the Hover Wisp swam before it saw a huge tunnel bigger than the sea mammal itself and it's eye widened in realization and understanding.
About a minute or two later with Sonic's group worriedly waiting, the green Wisp then resurfaced back out much to their relief and flew over before explaining excitedly. "(The big whale got here from a tunnel underneath the sand and snow. I think he was on the other side and made it's way here.)"
"I get it. So you were who helped to fend off the seaweed monsters back at the beach, cause you were trying to find answers all along." Sonic smiled in realization, and the whale happily nodded, pleased that he understood it. "Heh, that's really cool. You're like the protector of this place!"
The giant Whale made another musical moan in response.
"(I can't wait for the rest of our friends to meet him. They're gonna be really surprised!)" The Burst Wisp flew about along with his brothers who squealed about excitedly.
"In that cause, let's head back and tell them the story." The hero of Mobius declared, and gave the giant Whale a two-finger salute. "Meet you at the other side, buddy!"
Once they came to an agreement even though they knew that Tails, Amy, Sun, Star, Cream and Cheese, Yacker, Cutie, Lily, Speed and especially Knuckles were in for a really big surprise, Sonic and the other Wisps dashed off to meet with them, while the whale dove back under back to where it came from earlier.
Meanwhile, on the other frozen part of the transformed world, about half way towards the ice castle, against an ice-burg wall, the baby Yet emerged and wobbled a bit before falling face-first into the snow with a squeaky 'Omph!' while inadvertently scaring off more Wisps who were either attempting to get away from the snow and seaweed monsters, or who were Spirit's followers, and flew away from the portal, fearing that the Yeti was going to attack them.
A bit dazed before pushing itself up, the young Yeti shook it's head before looking around and giggled, as though finding that little adventure fun. Then it noticed something sparkling into the distance and it's eyes widened in surprise. There it saw the ice castle which sparkled in a beautiful matter, making it's eyes sparkle in awe, cooing. "Ooooooh."
Being young, not knowing of the dangers it placed itself in as well as unknowingly transporting itself into another planet, the young Yeti stood up before it began running towards the castle for an adventure.
Unaware that it would soon meet the heroes who were about to find more complications upon this young Snow Tribian's arrival.
A/N: Oh dear...Not only Sonic and his friends have Sea Monsters as well as the Snow Monsters to worry about, now a young child of the Snow Tribe in Holoska has arrived. What will happen next? Things have just gotten pretty complicated from here on out!
Also, sorry that this chapter wasn't as good as I had hoped and long. I'll try and make it up for it, as the next chapter will have Sonic introduce his Whale friend to the rest of the group, and I bet you can already imagine what Knuckles' reaction is going to be like, lol.
