Star Wars Episode VII: Return of the Force: Chapter 9: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Force Bites Back: Chapter 3: Determination
"Master I am ready to begin again." Chith stood in the center of the battle simulator located inside the Jedi Temple training facility, wiping the sweat from his brow. His long blonde hair now a dark brown, soaking wet and clinging to the sides of his face.
"That's enough for tonight." Luke said.
"No." Chith demanded, glaring up at him as blood traveled down his chin. "Start the simulation again."
Luke rose from behind the control panel with a look of concern overtaking his face. He stepped forward from the shadowy corner of the room and into the light so his apprentice could see him. "You've had enough, son."
"I'm not your son!" Chith cried out with the small amount of energy still left within him. "I'm your padawan."
"You're being too hard on yourself, Chith." Luke's tone was calming. "One loss does not define you as a Jedi."
Chith looked down at the puddle of blood and sweat beneath him, pooling at his feet. "I won't let him beat me. Not again." Chith's voice began to shake. "I must become stronger."
"In due time, Chith." Luke approached his padawan and placed his hand on his shoulder.
Chith nodded in agreement. He knew he had reached his limit, but his drive to defeat his childhood friend was getting the better of him. From the moment he became a Jedi, Chith knew his role in history would play out as an important one, it was just a matter of time before his true potential would be unlocked.
Luke looked at Chith with a warm sense of admiration. He had never seen such drive in an aspiring Jedi since himself at a young age, swinging on vines through the swamps of the Dagobah system with Master Yoda clinging to his back. Luke had known Chith was a tenacious young soul, ever since he met the boy, but he had never seen him with this much determination.
"You've become a great Jedi, Chith. One more powerful and strong-minded than I could ever hope to be at your age." Luke said as he began to step forward.
Before Luke could take so much as two steps towards the door, the alarm within the Jedi Temple sounded. Fear and adrenaline flushed through the two Jedi's bodies as they both looked towards the red light flashing from the ceiling, causing the entire room fall under an ominous crimson hue.
Chith felt an excruciating amount of rage flow throughout his body as he observed the room. The blood red intensity of the light reminded him of the lightsaber his enemy had previously used to best him in battle.
The giant screen above the control panel made an ear piercing screetch as it flickered on.
"Luke! Chith! We don't have much time!" King Solo's voice echoed through the training facility. "We've just recieved intel that Dith and Kind Solo are plotting an attack on the Ruptonian village of the Nimrod system! You must go there at once!"
"Understood, Han!" Luke confirmed. "Chith you stay here and rest. Your training must have taken a lot out of you. I'll head to Nimrod and do some reconnaissance."
"I'm not letting you go alone, Master." Cith replied with confidence. "I'll be fine."
Luke looked into Chith's eyes with deep concern. He wondered if Chith's determination was out of anger. He thought about himself at Chith's age, remembering the passion he felt to save Han and Leia from the clutches of his father in Cloud City. Luke closed his eyes and reluctantly nodded his head in agreement and the two Jedi hopped in their TC-100 starfighters and we've got trouble.
Nimrod was a jungle planet. It's emerald green surface hidden under tall trees with woven branches. A peaceful society of villages flourished through the planet. Small huts were strewn throughout the landscape and wooden bridges connected the trees. The Ruptonians were a peaceful people, trading goods such as animal hides and clothes between villages with no war or argument between the civilizations. But soon that peacefulness would turn into absolute chaos.
Explosions roared throughout the jungles of Nimrod as Kind Solo and Dith made way through the previously quiet villages, relishing in the chaos they had strewn upon the planet. Roaring fires over took many of the trees and huts that made up the fabric of the Ruptonian society.
Luke and Chith watched in awe from a hilltop as the small green village turned into an orange blaze of fire. Chith looked through his binoculers and saw a small Ruptonian family, charred black from the embers. The mother was holding her baby, using herself as a barrier trying to shield the child from the roaring flames. But it was no use. Both the mother and her child were black as night, seared to the bone. Chith removed his eyes from the binoculars unable to watch anymore of the destruction.
"Well well well. What 'ave we here?" A voice called from behind the two Jedi. "Two enemies of the Sith Empire. Now thats quite a find if you ask me. They knew you two would be here ya know."
Chith and Luke both turned their backs from the immense chaos unfolding below them. There stood an infamous bounty hunter by the name of Jaim'z Supplebutt.
"Seems like the boss is gonna reward me big for youse two." Jaim'z said with a glimmering twinkle in his eye.
End of chapter.
Now once again I'd like to take the opportunity to point out the obvious plagerism Disney is using on their stupid new Star Wars films. Many of you have been saying that The Force Awakens and Rouge One are not copies of Return of the Force and The Force Bights Back. And to that I say, fuck unto you. I will continue to write my masterpieces and boycott future Star Wars movies until the propor credit to my source material has been made. Good day to you.
