The scene showed the outside of a large building at night. The title, Wayne Industries, ran along the top part of it in big white letters. Cars drove by slowly down below in the rush hour traffic.
The scene changed, showing two security guards hanging from the walls of a room. They were stuck there by two massive red X's. Both of them were groaning in pain.
The view moved from the point of view of one of the guards. A figure appeared from the darkness and stopped in front of one of the knocked out guards. "And Itcould have sworn Bruce always made sure to hire the best of the best to defend his assets." Red X muttered.
His hand snaked into a pocket and came out with the guard's security pass. Red X turned towards the vault door the two guards had been stationed at. "Guess the old Bat must be slacking on his security." He said knowingly.
The view showed the security box next to the vault door. The front light on it was red. Red X swiped the security card through it.
Beep!
The front light flashes green.
Boom… kckckckckck…
A small boom of a lever moving into place was heard, and the vault door slowly started to slide outward. After a moment, the view showed the inside of a massive dome room.
The walls of the concrete room were reinforced with steel plating. The dome looked to be made of solid concrete. Most of the room except the middle was shrouded in darkness. The only thing in the room was a stand in the middle, with a red spherical object spinning in the air above it.
Red X walked up to the stand and looked at the object in front of him. He grabbed the sphere and took it from the power field that had been holding it in place. The stand beeped and then sunk into the ground.
"There has to be enough Xenothium focused in this power core to power this city for years." He said lowly. Then he chuckled. "I can only imagine how long this would power my suit. Me, my kids, and my grandkids would never have to knab Xenothium ever again."
Pow!
Red X was launched back through the air. He flipped himself over and landed with his legs spread and a hand on the ground in front of him. The sphere landed on the ground in front of the view. A steel-toed boot appeared next to it. Belonging to a calm faced Robin. The lights came on in the room then, and the other Titans appeared from the darkness behind Robin. Ready for a fight. Robin's Bo-Staff extended in front of him.
"How about we let that power the prison cell you and your posterity will be staying in for the rest of your lives instead?" Robin asked.
"Dude, one Red X is bad enough. I'd rather he didn't produce anymore." Beast Boy said with disgust.
Red X chuckled as he got into a stance. "Sorry kid, prison isn't exactly my style. And I don't think it'd suit my kids well either." He replied. He raised both of his hands, the red X's on them flashed on. "Especially since the hottie there would disapprove of her kids being jailed." Red X said, looking to Starfire. If his mask had been off, the Titans would have seen him giving Starfire a wink.
The view showed the Titans on the one hand and Red X on the other. The top part of the view then showed the Titans, while the bottom showed Red X's face.
Robin's eyes narrowed. "Titans, go!" Robin yelled.
Two large Red X's shot from Red X's hands.
Robin ran forward, using his Bo-Staff to deflect the X's to the ground. And then he jumped through the air towards Red X.
Bam!
Red X held his arms up in front of him, blocking the Bo-Staff with his wrists. A blast of air went out from the point of contact. Then, Robin flipped over and away from Red X.
Ksch! Ksch!
Red X ducked a star bolt and then rolled out of the way of a sonic cannon blast. He looked up and then flipped back off the ground.
Boom!
A yellow disk exploded where he had just been standing.
"I always hate it when kids try to gang up." Red X said as he landed on the ground, next to a dark portal. Raven came out of it. Her hands covered in dark energy.
"Azarath, Metri-" She was chanting.
Pow!
Red X slammed her in the face with his fist. Raven fell to the ground. Red X picked her up by her cloak.
"Sorry, I'm not much of a fan of magic." He said. "And you might be cute, but I'm just not into goth girls." He added.
"Rowr!"
A green cheetah came speeding forward at that moment. It jumped through the air for Red X who shrugged. "But I know someone who is." Red X said.
Red X threw Raven's prone form at the cheetah. The cheetah's eyes widened in surprise, and it tried to stop itself in the air.
Wham!
The cheetah slammed into Raven, and both of them fell to the ground. Raven was unconscious. The green cheetah morphed back into a dazed Beast Boy.
A giant Red X wrapped around the two of them and then expanded into a red goo. Beast Boy's eyes widened, and he tried to move. The goo wouldn't budge. The goo over his mouth also kept him from speaking... a miracle indeed.
The view moved back to Red X, who chuckled to himself.
"That's one couple down." He said.
Bam!
A fist slammed Red X back through the air into the wall. He looked up, and Cyborg was running towards him. "Yahhhhh!" Cyborg yelled.
He punched forward.
Boom!
Cyborg's fist went through the steel plated wall. His face twisted in confusion. "Huh-" He was saying.
Bzzttt!
A field of electricity went off around Cyborg, which shook him for a moment. Then his head lowered, and he powered off.
Red X jumped off of Cyborg's back. A red X was firmly attached to Cyborg's back. "Too easy."
Red X turned to face Robin and Starfire, who were side by side. "Now it's time to deal with the 'star' couple." He muttered.
Starfire raced forward through the air, her eyes green with energy. Red X pulled out a glowing X from his belt.
Robin's eyes widened. "Star, wait-" He tried to say.
Red X threw it on the ground beneath Starfire.
Kchchch!
A cage of red glowing energy appeared from the glowing X, and it encased Starfire. She hit the side of it and was shocked back onto the floor of the cage.
She looked around her trapped environment. Then she tried to use her eye beams, but the green energy was absorbed by the cage.
Red X chuckled to himself. "I have to admit, I can't believe you actually designed a cage to trap your girlfriend Rob. I'm quite impressed." He said.
Robin finally got angry. He charged forward, Bo-Staff in hand. "Arrrrggg-!" He yelled.
Slash!
An X-Blade on Red X's right wrist sliced his Bo-Staff in two. Robin looked at the two pieces in his hands in surprise.
Pow!
Red X slammed his other fist into Robin's face, sending him reeling back. Red X then raised his hand.
Red X fired an X point blank. Robin was pinned to the wall by the sticky red material. He tried to raise his arms, only for them to quickly fall back at his sides. "Urgh." Robin grunted.
Red X chuckled at his attempts to get out. "If your girl can barely get herself out of those bands, then you have no chance kid." He told Robin.
The view showed Beast Boy squirming uncomfortably in the red goo with an unconscious Raven trapped in his embrace. Cyborg was powered down by the wall. Starfire was trapped in her cage. And Robin was pinned to the wall.
"I thought there was one more kid now." Red X said as he looked around.
...
He fired a red X, barely missing Adam who had been next to the Xenothium sphere. Red X fired another X, and Adam's shield appeared on his arm. The X hit against his shield and deflected to the side wall.
"Were the other kids here trying to distract me so you could make sure I didn't make off with the Xenothium in the end?" He asked.
"Nope. I had to use the restroom and got here late." Adam lied through his teeth.
The other Titans that were still conscious groaned. Red X rolled his eyes under his mask. He didn't believe the lie. "If you just hand me the Xenothium sphere now, I promise not to humiliate you like I did last time." He said in a bored tone.
"Sorry, not happening." Adam said as he took on a defensive stance. A sword appeared in his other hand.
"Do you really want a repeat of what happened last time kid?" Red X asked.
A flash of anger flashed across Adam's face, but then he breathed in calmly. "What, don't tell me you don't want to fight you chicken." He taunted back.
Red X looked briefly surprised, and then he finally chuckled. His other X-blade appeared on his other wrist. "You know kid, you're pretty brave." His blades started to spin. "Stupid, but brave." He finished.
The view showed the still conscious Titans watching.
Red X started to charge forward.
Twang!
Red X rolled to the side. A blunted bronze-tipped arrow flew by Red X's face. "What?"
The view moved back to Adam, holding a bronze bow. "Seriously? A bow?" Red X asked.
Adam shrugged. "Hey, it's not my fault you thought I could only fight with a shield and a sword." Adam said before he pulled back the string. Another arrow appeared notched on the string. "Plus, I have a lot of frustration pent up right now."
Twang! Twang! Twang! Twang!
Adam started to launch arrow after arrow in rapid succession.
Red X continued to move forward through the barrage. He ducked under two of them, rolled under the third, and used one of his X-Blades to slice the fourth one in half. He looked a little annoyed.
"You could do better than that now." Red X said. He pounced forward, his X-Blades still spinning on his wrists.
Kch!
The two X-Blades hit against the bronze bow, and lodged themselves in the bronze holding Red X in place. He looked surprised that his blades hadn't sliced clean through the material.
Adam spun once, and then the bow disappeared from Adam's hands, making Red X fly back through the air. He landed on his feet.
The view showed Adam again. A sword appeared in his hands. "Better?" He asked.
"Not bad kid. You won't win a fight though being on the defensive." Red X said as he got in a defensive stance. He made a 'come hither' gesture with his hand.
Adam ran forward.
Chi! Chi! Chi!
Red X easily blocked Adam's strikes to his midsection with his X-Blades. Adam tried to slice for Red X's side, then tried for the other side, only for Red X to block on both times. He jumped back, barely avoiding a slash, and then tried to thrust forward. Only for Red X to hit it to the side again.
"Come on kid, you aren't even-" Red X was saying.
Pow!
A shield appeared on Adam's other arm, and he pounded it sideways into one of Red X's X-Blades. The red spinning blade broke off of his wrist and flew across the room. Red X stumbled back in surprise.
Adam smirked. "I'm sorry, were you too busy focusing on my weapon?" Adam taunted back.
Red X's eyes narrowed behind his mask. He clearly didn't like his own game being turned on him.
Slash!
Adam's shield disappeared, and he stumbled back gripping his leg. A little bit of red appeared from a gash along the side of his pants.
"That was me having enough." Red X said above Adam. Adam quickly raised his sword with both hands.
Chi!
The view showed Red X's single X-Blade lock with Adam's sword. Adam gripped his sword with both hands and spread his legs beneath him. Red X beared down with all his strength directed by the single X-Blade.
The view moved to Adam's Point of View. Showing a towering and very menacing looking Red X above him. "You might as well just quit now kid. You're looking fresh for defeat, just like the rest." Red X said.
The view showed Robin, watching from his spot on the wall.
Adam slowly started to get pushed down by Red X. Even with all of his strength, he couldn't push back against the overwhelming force of Red X. He really was a strong villain... Then, just when all seemed hopeless, he happened to glance down. A distant memory of a similar situation passed through his mind.
Adam smirked. He wasn't being held up by the throat, but it still had the potential to work.
"You do realize how exposed that position leaves you? Right?" Adam asked.
Red X's pressure on his sword lightened. "What-" He started to ask in a confused tone.
Adam took the chance, and brought his back foot back before quickly kicking up.
Bam!
Adam's foot nailed Red X directly... in the crotch.
Red X's head enlarged in the view. "Awwwwwwhhhhhhhhh!" A smaller anime Red X popped out of his head. "Awwwwhhhhhhhhh!" It shrieked in a higher voice. A small chibi Red X then popped out of the small Red X. "Awwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" It shrieked in a high pitched tone only an opera singer would be proud of.
Beast Boy and Robin both looked away. Even though it had been done to a villain, it was natural for the guys to feel sorry for what had happened to Red X's cajones.
The view moved back to Adam as he backed up. His sword disappeared, and he brought his fists up in front of him. "I just realized, for all your talk, you're nothing but a bully." His fists glowed brightly, and a pair of steel gauntlets appeared over his hands. "And I, don't like, bullies." He finished calmly.
Bam!
The view showed Red X get punched to one side by a steel gauntlet.
Boom!
The view showed Adam uppercutting Red X with the other steel gauntlet.
Pow! Wham!
The view showed Adam punch Red X in the stomach, then across his face.
Robin, Starfire, and Beast Boy watched in surprise, and then excitement at the turn around.
Red X continued to stumble back, the gradual pain from his groin area and the other places he was being hit overwhelming his ability to fight back.
Bam! Bam!
The view showed Adam step back, the steel gauntlets disappearing off his hands. Then a steel covered shield instead of a bronze shield appeared on his arm. "Yahhhh!"
KaPow!
Red X was launched back onto the ground from the direct hit to the face. He groaned as he put one of his hands to his mask, which had a crack running along it. He started to sit up, but then a steel-bladed sword appeared under the chin of his mask, forcing him to look up.
Adam smirked down at him. "I win." He said.
…
Red X chuckled, his voice sounded a little bit higher than normal. Still, the chuckling unnerved Adam slightly. "That was a dirty move kid." He said while still chuckling. His voice box sounded like it was damaged.
Red X suddenly disappeared from view. Adam took a step back in confusion.
"You know..."
Adam turned around. Red X was behind him. He had the sphere and his knocked off X-Blade in his hands. "I'm starting to like ya kid. You have some spunk in you, and you're not afraid to fight dirty. Unlike some of these other 'heroes.'" He said, pointing out the others. "It's kind of refreshing, actually."
Adam ran forward to try and stop him. But then Red X disappeared from view again by way of teleportation. Adam stopped where he had been standing. He looked all around him.
The view expanded, showing no sign of Red X in the dome room.
The view showed Adam again, looking down at the floor in disappointment.
...
One of his eyebrows arched up. "What the…"
The view shifted to the ground. A small strip of yellow paper appeared in the spot where Red X had been standing. Adam picked it up off the ground and opened it.
If you're ever in a jam, call this number. I'm sure we'll meet again soon, kid.
Red X.
The view showed Adam looking down at it. He appeared to be deep in thought. "What?" He said to himself.
"Um, Adam!" Beast Boy finally spoke up.
Adam turned. Beast Boy had finally gotten his mouth above the red goo. "I'm glad you kicked his butt and everything, and I'm sorry he got away, but could you, like, get me out from this before Rae wakes up please!?" Beast Boy asked.
The view expanded, showing a still unconscious Raven wrapped to Beast Boy. On closer inspection, his hands were shown to be firmly tight against her cloak because of the goo. It wouldn't have looked so bad, if the indentation his hands were pressed up against hadn't looked like Raven's chest.
Adam's eyes widened, and he quickly summoned his sword again. It was still steel colored, and no longer bronze. He put the paper in his pocket. "For the sake of all our lives, yes." He replied.
The scene faded out of the domed room.
The scene showed the outside of the T-Tower. The sun was setting in the distance behind it…
The scene changed, showing Adam sitting down on the bed in his room. The sheets were a light blue color, as were the walls. He had a walnut nightstand on his left, with Red X's note resting on it.
Adam laid back on his bed and stared up at the ceiling above him. A different book laid discarded to the side. Adam had the look of being deep in thought.
…
Thmmm.
His door slide open, and Adam looked up. Robin walked in. He looked a little worried.
"Is your leg okay?" Robin asked.
Adam looked down at his leg. A white bandage could be seen under the gash in his pants. "Yeah. It feels fine. No need to chop it off or anything." Adam replied jokingly.
Robin didn't smile. "Are you doing okay?" Robin asked.
Adam tilted his head. "Yeah. Why?" Adam asked.
Robin looked a little uneasy. "It's just… you were off most of the week because of your flashbacks. And I know personally how annoying Red X can be when dealing with all that-" He was saying.
Adam chuckled. Robin stopped speaking in surprise. Adam then smiled. "It's okay Rob. Red X is a fetch. But I feel a lot better now… Besides, I understand a little bit better what I was experiencing earlier. I probably only remembered what the bullies in my earlier life said. So I'll try to not let it define me from here on out." Adam said still smiling. He got up from the bed.
Robin looked confused at first, then he just nodded his head and smiled back. "Alright, I was just checking to see if you were okay."
The two shook hands. Then Adam surprised Robin by hugging him.
"Thanks, Rob. You really are a great friend," Adam said.
Robin didn't say anything back. The two separated, with Adam still smiling. Slowly, Robin shook his head.
"Every time I think I have you figured out..." He said to himself.
"I think I got that a lot too. I just can't remember." Adam said before he laughed. Robin laughed with him.
Apparently, having amnesia left room for all different kinds of jokes...
"AHHHHHHHH!"
The two turned to the door. Beast Boy, with patches of red goo in his green hair, ran by. His arms were in the air above him.
"I swear I didn't mean to grip your boobs while we were trapped Rae!"
After Beast Boy ran out of view, Raven foew by the doorway. She had red goo sticking to her cape, and four glowing red eyes on her face. "By the time I'm done with you, Outer Perdition will look like Paradise!" She gutturally yelled.
The two disappeared around the corner. Robin and Adam poked their heads out from the room. "What-" Robin was saying.
"You wouldn't want to know." Adam interrupted.
The two ran out after the couple. Not saying anything else.
The view showed Red X's note lying on the nightstand with the light of the doorway going over it.
Thmmm.
The door slowly slid closed. With the last thing the light touching the visible part of the note.
I'm sure we'll meet again soon kid.
The scene faded to darkness.

The scene showed the outside of the Wayne Industries building. The lights were on, lighting up the night. Cops were still out in front of it. Scouring the scene for clues as to how Red X had broken in and gotten through security. They knew that when Bruce Wayne demanded answers, little mercy would be shown on a splotched job...
The scene changed, showing the still wide open vault door. Police tape had been put up in front of the entrance. Only the light in the center of the dome room was on. No cops were in sight.
Heavy footfalls sounded in the shadows outside the room. Then two dark hooded figures appeared in view. They stopped at the edge of the police tape. Their bodies were covered by two long dark cloaks.
"This is going to be a minor issue." One of the hooded figures said lowly.
"Yes, but only for a moment X2." The other figure said in a calm, chill voice. "There are still plenty of other Power Sources this world has to offer."
"Yes. I know X1. But this is the fourth one that has been stolen before we could grab it. Not to mention one of the most powerful that was on our leader's list." The figure said back.
The other figure put a hand under his hood. "That masked crusader and the others are starting to become a problem." The figure said.
He pulled back his hood, yet his face was still shrouded by the darkness. He then moved his hand to his side and pulled out a device from under his cloak. A silver trumpet was seen on his belt before the cloak covered it.
"Yet I'm glad this, 'hero' I acquired, had just the device we'd need to deal with part of this, 'problem.'" The figure said before he turned on the device.
A holographic screen appeared in front of the figure. Obscuring most of his face. "Now, all we need to do." He said.
The view showed the screen. Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Cyborg were in the middle. Other Titans like Aqualad, Bumblebee, Speedy, Mas and Menos, Jericho, Pantha, Argent, and others spread out from them. Underneath them all was a hologram of the world, with red blinking dots identifying where all the heroes were.
"Is squash this, 'hero problem.'" The shadowed figure continued. "Then that masked crusader will have no one to turn to when we come close to achieving our plans."
The figures chuckled evilly. "Now that, X1, sounds like a good idea."
"I heard voices over here."
"The cameras are showing two heat signatures outside the vault!"
The two turned, and saw the shadows of police officers approaching down the hallway. "Come X2, soon, we shall accomplish all that our leader has asked of us." He pulled out the trumpet as he said it, and raised it to his lips.
A few seconds later, the cops appeared running from behind the corner with their guns raised. "Freeze-"
The cops stopped in surprise. Where the two figures had been was empty face. The whole room was empty, in fact.
The scene faded to dark.

Well, sorry this took so long. I didn't mean to forget about updating this story. Especially since I liked this part here at the end. Oh, how I just love dropping plot nuggets in random spots!
