Chapter Thirty-Four: Time for Greek
A few days before her birthday Vanessa had decided to tell Hunter about who his father was. He took it pretty well as he didn't see any difference as he was raised by Hades and Maleficent but told her that he didn't see Voldemort as his father. Hades was his father no matter if he was blood or not. He was worried about how Vanessa felt about him now. She told him that she didn't blame him and was still willing to give him a chance. This made him love her even more, but still guilty for what his father has done. Then came the very hard part. Hunter understood that she had to tell her cousin. Better hearing it from her than hearing it from someone else. She could only hope that he'll calm down as Dumbledore knew about this and believe he was good. That and also the fact Hunter had helped out in saving Auradon a few times.
At first he didn't believe her but after seeing how Hunter looked a little like sixteen year old Voldemort and seeing him speak to his snake Morgana he put two and two together. His emotions were a bit torn for Hunter. For the last couple of days he has gotten to know Hunter and he kind of looked up to him like an older brother. A part of him wanted to hate him because of who his father was and what his father did to his parents.
"Hunter isn't like Voldemort. The childhood that he remembered of him was so horrible that he blocked them out." Vanessa explained "Harry, he was only three years old before he arrived on the Isle. He only sees Hades as his father."
Harry didn't know if he should believe her or not.
"Tell me Harry, are you the type to judge someone because of what their parents did? Because of who their parents are? Like how Audrey and Chad did." She asked "Then you're no better than those purebloods that judge Muggleborns. Dumbledore knew and didn't sense darkness in Hunter like he did with Voldemort. You heard what Tom said about him. He always kept a close watch on him cause he knew something was off."
Harry still wasn't sure.
"I'll let you decide...but if you don't then please don't blab about this to your friends or anyone else. This is not one of your mysteries that you get yourself into. This is someone else's life that could be destroyed if someone goes to the Ministry and arrests him for just being his blood. I'll never forgive or trust you for that. Just think about what I said." She said before she left him alone.
Harry sat in his room thinking about what she had said. He admits that Hunter and Voldemort were completely different. Even when he was living with the two most evil villains in the Isle he still chose good because he was given a second chance. Adam, Bell, Ben, Vanessa and the people in Auradon were willing to give Hunter a chance so maybe he should give him a chance too. By doing that he promised not to tell anyone, including Ron and Hermione. That was Hunters' secret to tell or keep.
He walked out of his room and went looking for Hunter. Harry walked to the VK's small castle and found Hunter in the garage fixing his bike.
"Hey." Harry said
"Hey." Hunter said, looking up at him for a bit for continuing with work. "I'm guessing Vanessa told you already. About my birth father."
Harry nodded.
"Am I gonna have to worry about you poisoning and killing me in my sleep?" Hunter asked, in a joking tone.
Harry chuckled a little but shook his head no.
"Actually, seeing you doing muggle work and enjoying doing it shows you're different from him and the other purebloods that I know." Harry said
"I've always been interested in new hobbies. Building things with my hands always brought me joy when they work. I love magic but there is always something satisfying making things without it." Hunter said, then he handed Harry a tool. "You want to learn how to fix it...the muggle way."
Harry smiled with a nod and took the tool.
On his birthday, Vanessa and he were on a plane to Greece with Hades, Hunter and Mal. Hades had planned to take Hunter and Mal for a family reunion at Olympus and wanted to bring Vanessa and Harry along. The Underworld God invited them as they could see the sights of the magical world there. It took some convincing but her parents agreed to let them go. Harry was excited to go as this was his first trip he has ever gone too. His friends couldn't come as they were abroad too. Hermione and her parents had gone to France for the summer break. Ron and the rest of the Weasley family had gone to Egypt to visit their eldest son Bill. Mr. Weasley won some money at the Ministry of Magic and decided to take the whole family on vacation. Vanessa and Harry were happy for them as they knew that the Weasley deserved it.
They arrived in Athens, Greece the next day. When they got to their hotel the man at the front desk said that there were packages for Harry. Two were from Hermione and Ron, the third one is from Hagrid and two were from Adam, Bell and Ben. Hermione got him a Broomstick Servicing Kit and Ron got him a Pocket Sneakoscope, an object that will light up and spin when someone untrustworthy is around. The third one was from Hagrid. It was a book for third years "The Monster Book of Monsters. He nearly wrestled with it as it tried to snap at him and binded it with a belt. Adam and Bell got him a new Iphone and the new shoes that Harry wanted and Ben got him a tablet. Vanessa had got him a book about different quidditch moves that he could learn about. While he was enjoying opening his gifts Mal had turned on the T.V. In one of the channels Hades told her to stop on the Londons News when he noticed something. The reporter was halfway through a report on an escaped convict.
"...The public is warned that Black is armed and extremely dangerous. A special hot line has been set up, and sighting of Black should be reported immediately."
On the news they showed a photo of the escaped convict. The man had a gaunt face, that had matted elbow-length tangled and piercing blue eyes.
"The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will announce today…"
"Okay, that's enough. You can change it." Hades said
"What was that about?" Mal asked
"That was a bit of news from the magical world." Hades said before grabbing his bags and was about to head to his own room.
"How do you know that?" Hunter asked
"You noticed that they just mention it for a minute before changing the subject." Hades said as he left, leaving them with more questions.
"I hate when he doesn't tell us everything." Hunter said
"You think he knows something about that guy?" Harry asked
"It's hard to tell sometimes." Mal said
"What do you think Vanessa?" Harry asked
Vanessa didn't say anything as she was still staring at the T.V. There was something familiar about the criminal. She remembered one of her uncle's friends name being Sirius but doesn't have much memory about him.
"Vanessa?" Harry asked
"Love, you okay?" Hunter asked
Hearing their voices was able to break Vanessa out of her trance.
"Yeah...just...jetlag I think." She said with a smile.
Everyone bought it as everyone was tired from the plane ride. After everyone was refreshed and had some food in them, Hades showed them around the city and where the magical world is. The city was hidden in the area where the ruins were. Hades allowed them to explore the market place but warned them to be wary of the forest. Deep in the Kaisariani forest is where most of the magical creatures and monsters live. The next day Hades had taken Mal and Hunter to Olympus for the reunion. Since Vanessa and Harry were gonna be alone Hades had Cerberus to follow them around and keep them safe. Harry was a bit wary of the large three headed dog after what happened with fluffy. With the gods magic he transformed the Cerberus into a normal size dog (a Cane Corso) to not draw attention. They have gone to the ruins, temples and muggle museums. Both places gave them good ideas for their essay in History of Magic. When they stopped to have lunch they noticed some wanted posters. One was of her fathers' face and Sirius Black. Harry looked over at Vanessa as she had told him about her father being alive and how he was innocent of crimes. He knew that she misses him and wished she could see him.
"Are you okay?" Harry muttered
"I'm fine." She said "It's hard knowing that he's innocent but everyone believes he's a killer because...I don't know. Part of it...I believe it's because of their prejudice towards anyone that's not a witch or wizard."
She knew very well to choose her words when they're out in public.
"Their stupid for that then. Have you heard from him yet?" He asked
She shook her head no.
"Maybe he's trying to find something to clear his name. It has to be hard being on the run." He said "But I know he must be thinking about you a lot."
"Thanks Harry." She smiled

On day three the four teenagers headed to the Kaisariani forest with Cerberus as their guard. Hades had to head to the Underworld to see how his kingdom was.
"Wait, so the marriage between Hades and Persephone was real?" Vanessa asked
"Oh yeah. It was...very awkward. Especially after knowing that they're still married." Hunter said
"How mad was Mal?" She asked in a whisper.
"Her hair actually turned into fire." He said
"Really?" She asked in awe and surprise.
He chuckled with a nod.
"Okay, I think we're far enough." Mal said
They were in an empty and dark area where no one could spy or see them. Vanessa has been wanting to test out her vampire powers for awhile and this week was perfect timing too. So she took off her medallion and released her true self.
"Okay, what first?" Vanessa asked
"How about we see how fast you can run?" Harry said
He took out his Nimbus 2000 from his bag.
"Alright." Vanessa said
Harry hopped on his broom and floated up in the air while Vanessa stretched first and got into her run stance.
"Alright. Ready. Set. Go!" Hunter said
The two took off with quick speed. Harry's broom was fast but when he looked down his eyes widened at the sight. Vanessa's vampiric speed was just as fast as his broom or maybe even faster. She was able to dodge and climb over rocks and trees with ease. They race in the circle and Vanessa beat him by a few feet.
"Okay. Next, is strength. Let's see how much you can beat up my brother." Mal said
"Geez thanks, Mal." Hunter glared
"What should I do?" Vanessa asked
Mal looked around and saw a huge boulder nearby.
"Let's see you break that boulder." She said
Vanessa agreed to this and walked over towards the boulder. After cracking her knuckles first before taking a deep breath and went to hit it. The moment she hit the large rock her fist made a huge whole in it and a few cracks. Vanessa let out a laugh in amazement and started punching it a few more times before it cracked in half.
"That is so cool." Mal smiled
They did a few more tests with her powers. She could see and hear things a hundred miles away. Have the ability to command creatures like bats, crows, ravens, wolves, owls and rats. She even learned how to turn herself into a swarm of bats like before. They even helped her with mind reading and her recent new ability: telekinesis. She was in the middle of keeping Harry in the air until Cerberus started growling. He transformed into his true self when a large beast came running their way. It had a head and front part of a lion, a goat's head on its back and a snake's head on its tail.
"Oh crap. That is a chimera." Vanessa said
"How did that get through the barrier?" Mal asked
The chimera charged at them but Cerberus was able to tackle it down and started fighting the creature.
"Run!" Hunter yelled
The four of them ran away while Cerberus dealt with it. They only got a few steps away when the chimera got free and started chasing them. Vanessa pulled Harry away when she saw one of the heads spit out fire in his direction. Cerberus caught up and tackled down the creature again. The two beasts fought each other until fire surrounded them and a fiery beast appeared from the ground. This made the creatures stop in their fight and the chimera ran back towards where it came from. Once it was gone fire was formed into Hades.
"Dad!"
"Daddy!"
Hades looked over at his kids and hugged them.
"You four okay?" He asked
"Yeah." They said
"How did that Chimera get out of the barrier?" Vanessa asked
"That...I do not know. A powerful spell was placed on that barrier. Either a God or a really powerful witch or wizard can open it." Hades said, glaring at the woods. "Come on, let's get you kids back at the hotel."
Far off in the distance, a raven was perched on a tree. It watched as the beast chased the teens and when the five left the woods. When they were far and gone the raven flew off the branch transformed into a young woman, dressed in a gypsy attire.
"You live another day, little Potters." The woman whispered
She let out a wicked chuckle before transforming back into a raven and flew away.

On the last night of their vacation Hades had taken the kids to Olympus. There they were guided around by a satyr named Alexis. He showed them where the other demi-gods and demi-goddess were and they all mengled. Mal and Vanessa had to keep the boys away from daughters of Aphrodite as they had the same charm as their mother. Besides that all the demi-kids were alright and acted like normal kids. Vanessa even had a fun time challengings Ares and Athenas' kids in a sword fight. In the middle of the party the band had just finished and Mal had called out for Vanessa to sing. Of course the witch princess tried to decline but it was almost impossible to say no to a room of God's.
"Hello, Gods and Goddesses." Vanessa said, with a hint of nervousness. She nearly caught her breath when she saw her father in the far back of the temple. The princess looked over at Hades and gave her a knowing grin, telling her that he had planned this.
"Um...This wasn't really planned but...I would like to sing a new song that I wrote a week back. I hope you enjoy it." She said

Everyone applauded but Vanessa didn't care as she hurried over to her father. Once she was close she quickly lept into her fathers' arms.
"Daddy." She said
"My little princess." Vlad smiled as he held her tight.
Harry saw them together and wasn't sure if he should interrupt their moment. But Vlad saw him and gestured for him to come over.
"Hello Harry. I haven't seen you since you were a baby." Vlad said "You look just like your father. And you have your mothers eyes. I'm your uncle Vladimir. You can call me Vlad."
"Hello sir. It's nice to finally meet you. Vanessa told me everything about you." Harry said
"Did Hades call you here?" Vanessa asked
"Yes. I was able to get rid of the Dementors that were tailing me. But more will come soon. Hades told me what happened in the woods." Vlad said placed a hand on both Harry and Vanessa's shoulders. "You two need to be very careful from now on. Do you understand? Someone that's in lead with Voldemort's group is trying to kill you both."
"You mean Sirius Black?" Harry asked
Vlad looked at Harry with a sharp look.
"What do you know of Sirius Black?" Vlad asked
"Just that he broke out of Azkaban." Harry said
"I can't tell you much but all I can say is...whatever you hear...don't believe them until you hear from me." Vlad said "Another one you have to worry about is a witch. A very powerful and old witch that auras has after for centuries. Her name is Baba Yaga. She can change into many forms so you two have to be careful with who you trust. Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir." They said
"I have to go now. Be safe and look after one another. I'll keep in touch." He said
He hugged his daughter and nephew one more time before vanishing into the night.
