The view showed the buildings of Jump City. Things looked even more dark and dreary than before...

The scene changed. Showing the outskirts of the city.

Vroom…

The R-Cycle came out of the forest. It was all black now. Robin was riding it with his helmet on. Adam sat behind Robin on the R-Cycle, while a small green parrot was perched on his shoulders. A wooden figurine was seen on the dashboard of the R-Cycle.

Robin stopped his bike and looked out over the deserted city. "Alright, we can't hide forever. We need to find a way out of here. We also need a way to get our teammates to recognize us." Robin said.

Adam looked out over the view. "Well, what we do know is that we were in the stadium when we fell into that trap, and then we woke up in different parts of this abandoned city." He listed.

"Awk! Maybe we should try looking in the stadium then, dudes." The green parrot said.

Robin frowned. "That'd be close to the center of the city..."

"Do we have any other choice?" Adam asked.

Vroom. Vroom.

Robin quietly revved his bike. "Nope. It's our best chance to figure out what happened to us." He said seriously. "Let's just hope we don't encounter the others in the meantime."

Robin's R-Cycle quietly drove down onto the Interstate down below and headed towards the city.

The view showed from the roof of a skyscraper as the little black bike drove by.

The view showed from between two skyscrapers as the R-Cycle drove past the gap.

The view went back to the Titans on the R-Cycle. The green parrot was now a falcon, clutching onto Robin's shoulder. It looked all around itself as the R-Cycle moved along. The R-Cycle went onto an exit. A faded green sign indicated the Jump City Stadium was in this direction.

"Wow, at this rate, we might actually make it," Adam said quietly.

"Don't jinx us now," Robin muttered.

The R-Cycle went off the off-ramp onto the street. A green sign on the right indicated the stadium was still four miles down the road. And the road was lined with cars.

"I've found it's at times when things are going well that everything bad that can happen, happens."

They started to ride down it slowly and quietly. Looking around cautiously for any sign of danger.

...

Ksch! Boom!

A bright green starbolt blew up the car next to them as they drove past it. Adam looked behind himself, seeing the large smoking crater that'd been left behind.

"HOLY FETCH! I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT HOW DEADLY THOSE COULD BE BEFORE!" He screamed in terror.

The view showed a smirking Starfire with bright green eyes careening down from the air. She had two more starbolts formed in her hands. Raven appeared from the ground beneath her, her hands and eyes were also covered in dark ethereal energy. Last but not least, the T-Car swerved around the corner, looking like it had been given a few dark upgrades.

"Well, guess there's no more use for stealth," Robin said. "Now!" The falcon pressed a button on the dashboard for Robin.

The view showed the black paneling on the bike switch back out to red.

VROOM! KRRRRR!

With stealth mode deactivated, Robin put the pedal to the metal and sped down a side street.

"Titans! Go!" Cyborg yelled from the T-Car.

KRRRR!

The T-Car blasted off, with Starfire and Raven flying after it.

The view showed another side street.

Ksch! Ksch! KRRRRRR!

The R-Cycle swerved around the corner as starbolts peppered the ground around it. Robin straightened the bike and sped down the center of the road.

Raven, Starfire, and the T-Car also appeared behind them.

Ksch! Boom!

A green star bolt hit the steel shield Adam had put on his back, and the force almost blew him off the R-Cycle. He gripped tightly to Robin. "Don't you have lasers to fight back with on this thing?" Adam pointed out.

Robin gritted his teeth and kept his eyes straight ahead. "They work a lot better when I'm stationary." He admitted.

Adam looked behind them then, and his eyes widened as he saw a metal trash can heading towards his face. "Ahhhhh!"

Slash!

A steel sword quickly appeared in his hands, and he slashed it in two. The pieces fell to their sides. "Ha, I can't believe I did that!"

Raven hefted a large semi with her dark powers. Adam paled in his seat.

"You might want to think of something quickly because I don't think I can slash a fetching semi in two!" Adam yelled.

Robin swerved left, avoiding one of Cyborg's sonic cannon blasts. Then Adam slashed through a federal mailbox. Robin swerved right to avoid another car lying in the middle of the road. "Rob!" Adam yelled in worry. The way Raven was positioning the semi as she prepared to throw it showed there'd be no getting out of this mess.

"I'm trying to think of something-" Robin was saying.

The green falcon jumped off the dashboard and headed straight for Raven. "Beast Boy, no!" Robin yelled.

The green falcon morphed into a large gorilla midair.

Pow!

The green gorilla tackled the surprised Raven and launched them both into a side alleyway. They both disappeared from view. The semi fell back onto the road, with the T-Car just barely driving underneath it before it smashed into the ground.

"Beast Boy..." Adam said sadly.

Ksch!

A blue sonic cannon barely missed them again. Adam was brought back into reality. The T-Car had three spots open on its hood.

"Looks like we're not out of this mess yet," Robin said with a grimace. He sped up again.

Ksch!

Another blue sonic cannon blast came from one of the holes. Adam took his shield off his back and deflected the sonic cannon blast into a building they passed.

Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!

Two more bright green starbolts hit the ground around them. The third one hit against Adam's shield.

Adam's shield disappeared and his bow took its place. "Would you be mad at me if I hit Starfire back?" He asked Robin.

"As long as you don't hurt her," Robin said.

"Dude. How does that work- on second thought, I doubt these'd hurt her anyway." Adam muttered.

Twang! Twang! Twang!

Adam started to shoot blunted arrows from the back of Robin's R-Cycle. Starfire simply veered left, right, up, or down to dodge them. She kept on throwing starbolts back in retaliation. The arrows also bounced off of Cyborg's T-Car.

Ksch! Boom! Ksch! Boom!

More than once Adam had to bring his shield out again to keep both himself and Robin from being shredded by a starbolt or a sonic cannon blast. Adam finally kept his shield out, seeing that his arrows actually did nothing when he finally managed to hit Starfire with one. "You know, I'm starting to see why she's the powerhouse of the team." Adam muttered.

"If we don't lose them before the stadium, I don't know how we're going to deal with them both."

"If we could deal with Cyborg first... Hey, Adam, get a spear ready!" Robin yelled.

Adam turned back to face him. "Why a spear-" Adam was saying.

"Just do it!" Robin yelled. "I have an idea!"

A spear appeared in Adam's hand.

Ksch! Ksch!

"Put the handle in that car tire!"

"What car tire- whoaaaaaa!"

Robin suddenly swerved, going so low to the ground that Adam could see his reflection in the pavement.

In slow motion, the R-Cycle slid past a car. Adam, realizing it was now or never, threw the spear, hoping the handle would stick into the car tire. It sailed for a small moment through the air, and then time resumed.

Looking back, he found that the spear had lodged itself in place, and the tip poked out five feet over the road.

The T-Car veered around the corner.

Pop!

One of the side tires dug into the tip of the spear, and the tire blew out. "Whoa! My baby! NOOOO!" Cyborg yelled inside the T-Car. He tried to get back in control, but he was going too fast. He swerved to the side.

Crash!

The T-Car crashed into a parked car, and Cyborg's head slammed hard against the steering wheel. He was knocked out. And his precious T-Car was left billowing smoke as Robin sped away.

Robin cheered. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" He yelled. "What a throw!"

Adam smiled. "I can't believe that actually worked-"

Ksch! Boom!

A green starbolt hit the back tire of the R-Cycle, blowing it out. The back of the bike hit the ground, and it started to swerve from side to side.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Adam screamed like a girl as he held to Robin for dear life.

Ksch! Ksch!

The view showed Starfire appear again. She growled as she threw more starbolts at the crippled bike. "You shall pay for hurting friends Cyborg and Raven with your cheap tricks!" She screeched.

"Adam, I need you to jump off!" Robin yelled.

"What?! Are you insane?!" Adam yelled back.

"Just do it! Use your ability to glide and get to the stadium!" He yelled.

He veered for a side alleyway with what little control he had left. "But, Starfire will kill you-" Adam tried to say.

Robin turned around and grabbed Adam. He threw him off the bike before Adam could even react. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

The view showed Robin's R-Cycle go veering into the alleyway.

Crash! Boom!

A loud crash was heard, followed by an explosion.

...

Adam, unharmed, glided through the air down the street. He looked back, his face painted with shock and terror.

Starfire, only sparing him a glance, veered into the alleyway Robin had crashed into.

Adam faced forward again. "Fetch..." He muttered to himself.

He continued gliding towards the stadium that came into view, all alone.

The scene showed the outside of the stadium. The black gate from before was still lying on the ground.

Adam glided low over the ground. He managed to glide for a little longer before landing somewhere in the outfield. He walked forward cautiously toward the baseball diamond.

"... Whoa."

A dark, black, pyramid-like object spinning in the center of the field came into view. It looked to be covered in a field of energy. Like a barrier.

Adam walked up to it and examined it closely. "I don't remember this being in the stadium when we captured Cinderblock..."

A steel sword appeared in his hands. "Maybe this is what's trapping us here."

He sliced downwards.

Kch! Boom!

Adam's sword hit against the barrier, and an explosion knocked Adam back several couple dozen feet. Adam looked up again and saw the barrier surrounding the small black spinning pyramid had turned blue. He tried slashing it again but was knocked back once more. He tried one last time, only to repeat the same result.

"Urgh. How am I supposed to destroy this?" Adam asked, looking it over in frustration.

"Hahahaha!" A laugh sounded. "The answer to destroy it is simple, my little duckling. You don't!"

Adam looked around the field in surprise.

A figure finally walked out from one of the dugouts. He was holding the same cane, but now he was dressed in dark, depressing clothes. His hair, though still red, looked a shade darker.

Adam got in a defensive stance. "Mad Mod."

"Hello to you too old governa." Mad Mod greeted. He laughed again. "Oh, I was so hoping I wouldn't be alone in this dreary world."

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!

A pair of dark, depressing mechanical British soldiers appeared at Mad Mod's sides. He smiled evilly as black statue heads of himself also appeared, among a few other creations. "Now, I can make sure I stay alone," Mad Mod said darkly.

Adam took a step back. "I think I liked the pictures the Titans showed me of you more. I didn't think you'd be this dark and creepy."

Mad Mod pointed his cane. Then the different mechanical creations charged Adam.

The scene showed a dark alleyway.

Slam!

A large green gorilla was slammed back into the brick wall. It fell down onto the ground, and it morphed back into Beast Boy. He was on his hands and knees.

Pow!

A dark wave of energy slammed Beast Boy painfully in the face.

Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! POW!

After several more ethereal punches, he was pinned against the wall by Raven's ethereal energy.

A calm-faced, yet still ticked Raven approached. Her eyes were brighter than ever. "Raven… please..." Beast Boy said painfully.

Raven stopped in front of his face. A dumpster appeared behind her, covered in her dark energy. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just wipe you from existence. After what you did to him." Raven said through gritted teeth.

"I… I can't… breathe..." Beast Boy said tightly.

The dark energy mercifully pulled back a little bit, and Beast Boy took deeper breaths. Raven grabbed his face painfully with her pale hand and got close. "Please Rae, why are you doing this-" He was crying.

"It's Raven! I only allow my friends to call me Rae! I only allowed him to call me Rae!" She screamed.

Beast Boy stared. There were tears coming down the sides of her face.

"Tell me, Adonis, why shouldn't I just end you right now," Raven said in a threatening tone. Emotion leaking into her dry voice. "Tell me why, and maybe I'll put an end to your suffering!"

Beast Boy looked her in her glowing eyes. He was confused for a moment more… and then a look of understanding appeared on his face.

"You think Adonis managed to kill Beast Boy."

A pained look crossed Raven's face, and she stepped back. "Why do you speak like you're not him? I can see you in front of me, you bastard!" Raven screeched.

Beast Boy's face softened. "I'm not Adonis Rae. I'm Beast Boy. I'm still here."

"No, you're not! He's gone! He's, he's..."

I can prove it if you let me." Beast Boy said as he removed a hand from his binds.

Raven looked like she was going to strike, but stared, almost curiously at his hand. Beast Boy slowly put it in front of him in a nonthreatening way. And then he opened it.

A copper penny shined in his hand. "Here, for... For luck." Beast Boy managed to gasp out.

...

Raven stared in shock at his hand, then looked back up to his face. It was still between them for a moment.

Then the dark ethereal energy disappeared from her violet-colored eyes. "Beast… Garfield…" She whispered.

Whack!

The view showed Robin flying back in the air. He slammed into the side of a car and fell to his hands and knees. "Ow..."

"Fight back!"

Robin slowly got back up. He had burns covering his arms.

Pow!

Robin was punched in the chest back into the car again. This time he fell across the hood of it and laid on it groaning in pain. Blood streaked from multiple gashes on his legs.

"Fight back!"

Robin didn't move this time.

An orange hand wrapped around Robin's neck and lifted him off the car into the air. Robin looked down in wide-eyed masked horror down into Starfire's glowing green eyes. Starfire choked him for a few seconds, then she threw him through the window of a building.

Crash! Kshsh!

Robin fell amidst the pile of glass shards. He coughed again and again as Starfire slowly approached. Her eyes and hands glowing green with energy.

"If you won't fight, then perhaps you have some last words, Citadel scum!" Starfire said angrily.

Robin couldn't answer. As Starfire grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up again. One of her hands formed a fist that she cocked back, ready to obliterate Robin from existence. "Not that I'll listen to what a mere worm has to say!"

Robin choked on his air, but his hands didn't move to the hand holding his throat. Instead, they moved down close to her face.

His hand gingerly moved some of her red hair away from her eyes.

Starfire was surprised by the loving action.

"Yes… you probably won't listen... but there's something I have to tell you..." Robin almost choked on his next words. "I love you Kori. I… I always will. No matter what."

...

Starfire dropped Robin to the ground. He coughed worse than he had before, and lightly pressed a hand to his neck. He somehow managed to look back up.

Starfire was still staring in front of herself. Her eyes blazing green with energy for a moment more. Then she looked down at Robin, and the energy disappeared from her eyes.

"Rich… Richard?" She choked out.

Slash! Slash!

Two black Mad Mod heads were sliced in two. They fell to the ground around Adam.

Adam's sword disappeared, and he hefted a spear in his hand. A large black soldier came marching towards him with its rifle up.

Adam chucked his spear.

Kch!

The spear went through its head. A surge of electricity went out of it, and the large soldier fell back onto the ground.

Boom! Boom!

Red lasers hit the ground around Adam. He looked up and saw two more Mad Mod heads flying through the air towards him. Their eyes glowed red again.

Adam's bow appeared.

Two sharp-pointed arrows pierced through the machines. They fell down to the ground behind Adam.

Adam breathed deeply in exhaustion. "I… I need to use... the obstacle course more often." Adam said to himself as he turned to face more flying Mad Mod heads.

Whack!

A large black hand smacked Adam unexpectedly back onto the ground. Before he could move, he was lifted by two large mechanical British soldiers. The view moved up above, showing the rest of the Mad Mod heads begin swirling around Adam and the two soldiers. A couple of other large toy soldiers stood by Mad Mod as bodyguards. Adam struggled to move, but couldn't.

Mad Mod laughed, and he twirled his staff in his hands. "How pathetic! I thought a duckling like you would put up a bit more of a fight! You shouldn't have chosen to skip Mad Mod's initial classes!" Mad Mod said mockingly.

Adam gritted his teeth. He closed his eyes and started to shake his head. "I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with giving you a failing grade." Mad Mod said with a shrug of his shoulders.

The two bodyguards next to him raised their rifles and aimed them at Adam. Adam was still shaking his head. He was also trying to squeeze out of the grips of the two soldiers.

"Ready… aim..." Mad Mod was saying.

"No, no, not like this," Adam said to himself.

Mad Mod smirked. "Face it my duckie, you're all alone. No one can save you now." Mad Mod said before he started to laugh again. He raised his staff to give the last order.

Adam stopped moving. He opened his eyes and glared at Mad Mod. "You might be right about a few things," Adam said.

Mad Mod stopped laughing. "Huh?" He said confusedly.

"I might be weak. I might not be enough. I haven't been a Titan for as long as they have..."

Ksch! Ksch!

Two bright green starbolts hit the soldiers holding up Adam. The soldiers fell to the sides, the sides of their heads smoldering. Adam landed on the ground. "But... they're still my friends!" Adam yelled.

The view showed Starfire dart down through the air. Robin was holding onto one of her hands. Starfire threw Robin, who pulled out his Bo-Staff and extended it.

Pow! Pow!

Robin cleaved two different Mad Mod heads with his Bo-Staff before he dropped down next to Adam. "You alright?" He asked.

"I was about to beat him myself, but yeah, whatever," Adam said sarcastically. "I should be asking if you're alright. You look like you went through hell."

"Didn't look like that to me," Robin smirked. "But somehow, I got through to Starfire. She's on our side again."

The two British Soldiers next to Mad Mod backed up at the unexpected turnaround.

Two dark portals opened behind them both.

"Rowrrr!"

A green bear came out of one and mauled the first.

The second one turned around.

Pow!

A semi flew through the second portal and crashed into the second one. Burying it into the ground.

Mad Mod backed away in surprise. Raven came out of the portal, and both portals closed.

"Thank goodness. It looks like Beast Boy got through to Raven too." Adam sighed in relief.

"No! Stop them!" Mad Mod ordered.

More Black Mad Mod heads appeared from the stands. Some of them with lasers. Others with spinning saw blades. Black Toy Soldiers came pouring from the dugouts.

The view moved to the five Titans. All of them took various spots on the screen, ready to deliver the mother of all butt whoopings.

"Titans, go!"

The view moved to three of the Mad Mod heads.

Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!

All three of them started to fire their red lasers.

Starfire flew through the air, veering between the red blasts. Her eyes flashed green in response.

Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!

Three separate eye beams came out of her eyes, blasting the three Mad Mod heads apart. She continued on through the air towards another group.

Pow!

The view moved to a large green sasquatch, showing it on top a now-scrapped soldier. It brought its large hands down on its head one last time. Then it turned back into Beast Boy.

"Ha, take that you stupid piece of trash!" He yelled at it.

A panel in its chest opened. Showing a white screen with moving Hypno lines.

"Uh-" A dazed look came over his eyes. "Duhhhh..." He said.

He fell back onto his butt, drool falling from his lips.

Raven appeared, rolling her eyes at the sight. "You have got to be kidding me."

She put her hand under her armpit.

Pbbtthh!

Her armpit made a fart sound.

Beast Boy snapped out of it and started to laugh. "Hahaha, good one!" He said happily. Then, a look of realization appeared on his face. "Aw, dude! Not again!" He said.

Raven rolled her eyes again. "Whatever." She moved to rejoin the fight. Beast Boy turned into a falcon and flew after her.

The view showed Adam next to Robin.

Slash! Slash! Pow! Pow! Slash!

Adam and Robin worked together. Slicing and batting away the Mad Mod heads circling all around them. Some were firing lasers, and some tried to slice them in two with their blades.

"I'm glad you came," Adam said seriously.

"Glad to be here," Robin said back.

"So... want to explain how you got Starfire and Raven on our side again?" Adam asked.

"Not really," Robin replied.

"Yeah dude. We have more important things to focus on." Beast Boy said nearby.

"Got it."

Pow!

Robin brought his Bo-Staff down on one last Mad Mod head. Then looked to the shielded spinning pyramid. "I'm guessing that's the thing we need to destroy."

"That's my guess, but I couldn't penetrate it before the fight started. It's going to take a little more oomph than these." Adam replied, pointing to their weapons.

Robin looked at one of the downed large British soldiers. A smirk came onto his face.

"I think I know something with enough oomph." He said.

The view went back to Mad Mod. Who looked around him at all the different fighting. "Something tells me this won't end well." He sighed. "Well, so long, ol' governa!"

He turned around to run.

Pow!

He ran right into a metal fist. Mad Mod fell to the ground groaning in pain.

The view showed a calm Cyborg, who put his fist back to his side. "Booyah." He said with a smirk.

A toy soldier was backing away nearby, trying to hold its hands up in surrender. But a large green Bull Elephant still crushed it into the ground with one of its feet. The elephant looked at Cyborg, went wide-eyed, and transformed back into Beast Boy. "Hey, Chrome Dome! You're not trying to kill us anymore!" Beast Boy

"I'm not trying to what now?!" Cyborg yelled in confusion.

"Sorry. Adam said you were trying to kill him before!" Beast Boy clarified.

"I what?!" Cyborg screamed.

The view showed Robin and Adam then. They were both holding the large rifle of the downed soldier. They pointed it at the spinning shielded pyramid.

Phoom!

A large yellow beam came from it. Slamming into the shield.

"Urghhhhhhh!" Robin and Adam both groaned as they held the rifle in place. Keeping up the barrage of energy against the shield. Until...

BOOM!

The shield fell, and the spinning black pyramid exploded into many pieces.

All around, the black Mad Mod heads stopped in their tracks. They fell down to the ground around all the other Titans. The remaining large toy soldiers also stopped and fell face-first into the ground. Nobody moved...

"Is it... the finished?" Starfire asked.

Before anyone could answer, a blinding white light enveloped everyone. Blasting the scene away…

The sun was high in the clear blue sky. The grass all around was green. Besides the gate, there was no damage to the baseball stadium. The dark and dreary atmosphere was just… gone…

"Urgh…" Beast Boy was the first to groan and open his eyes. He slowly sat up, looking around himself.

"Was that… all a dream?" He felt at his face, and let out an "ew" as he realized how much he'd been drooling.

The other Titans stirred and started to sit up. Looking around at their surroundings. "I… I don't know…" Cyborg said confusedly while holding his head. Mad Mod was knocked out nearby.

Starfire turned around and gasped in surprise. "Look!"

The other Titans also turned. The black pyramid from before was now a clear white. A very familiar white.

As they watched, it slowly stopped spinning. The Titans all stared at it.

Boom!

The pyramid blew up into a bunch of little metallic pieces. The Titans all covered their eyes from the brightness of the explosion.

The scene faded out from the stadium.

The scene showed the T-Tower from the side. The sun was slowly setting in the distance.

The scene changed, showing the Common Room. One of the pieces of the device was on the main terminal, being scanned by Cyborg.

"Yo, Rob, I think I found something."

"What is it, Cyborg?"

"I'm still examining the pieces trying to figure out their original function. But it looks like this machine is made up of the same metal as those clones of ourselves we encountered." Cyborg said.

Robin frowned. "Once might be odd. Twice might be a coincidence. But three times... something is going on." Robin said seriously.

Cyborg pulled up the results in front of him. "Yeah. First that Substance, then the clones of us, and now… this, whatever it was." Cyborg said, gesturing to the device.

"Do you have any idea what it did to us?" Robin asked.

"I'm still not entirely sure… but my best theory is that it placed us in another dimension," Cyborg said. "But I'm still not sure why we were mistaking each other as enemies in there. Maybe it just... messed with our minds or something."

"Or perhaps, it was a result of whatever Mad Mod did to us before this activated." Robin muttered.

They were silent for a moment more. Cyborg shrugged. "Oh well, at least we were lucky this time. It could have ended a whole lot worse." Cyborg said.

Robin looked back at the rest of the Common Room. Raven was sitting on the couch, her hood over her head. Beast Boy was sitting next to her. One of his arms was over her caped shoulders. He looked to be whispering to her. Saying something only she could hear.

She was shaking.

On the opposite end of the couch, Adam was sitting. He had a book in his hands. He was gripping it tightly.

Starfire was nowhere in sight. A puddle of water was seen though on the kitchen floor. Next to a large bowl of the pudding of apology for Robin.

Robin shook his head. "We almost died Vic. And it wasn't because of some villain. It was because of our own actions."

At that moment, Raven started to cry.

Boom!

One of the windows was encased in black and blown out. Robin turned to face Cyborg, who was surprised. Robin had a serious look on his face. "I don't think there could be a worse scenario for us."

Cyborg looked down at the pieces of the machine again. This time, with a look of loathing. "What should we do in the meantime?" He asked.

"Send out an alert to all the other Titans to keep a lookout for anything made from this material. We need to find out if there are more of these devices or some other similar crap out there. I don't want anyone else going through what we had to go through." Robin ordered.

Cyborg nodded his head. "I'll get on it."

Robin nodded. "Good." Then he looked back to the team. Beast Boy was hugging Raven close to him now. Adam slammed his book shut and walked out of the room through a side hallway.

"And Cyborg... call in Titan's East…

"I think we all need some time to recover from what happened," Robin said sadly.

He walked towards the sliding doors to find Starfire.

Boom!

Another window was encased in black and exploded outwards as Robin exited the room. Leaving the secondary leader over the team to call Titan's East.

The scene faded to black.
