The scene came into view again.
Kitten still looked visibly surprised from the scene before.
The view showed in the background as Garfield and Rachel stood up at their table, also looking surprised.
The view finally focused back on Adam. He was still glaring at the spoiled princess girl in front of him. "Fetch this. This isn't worth it at all."
"Y-You're not supposed to say that?! You're a hero!" Kitten finally screeched out in response.
"If being forced to go along with this charade is what you call being a 'hero', then fetch that, I'm definitely not being a hero right now," Adam stated in a deadpan.
Kitten growled. She pulled out her remote and held her finger over the button. "I'll do it! If this, if you're trying to test me, I will show you what happens when you stand up to-"
Adam swatted the remote out of her hands.
With a loud Clatter, it fell against the floor.
Garfield and Rachel, who'd been running over, both stopped in surprise.
Adam looked livid, just as Kitten looked shell-shocked.
"I have no interest in continuing to hang out with a spoiled brat like you," Adam spat the two words out venomously. "Your type is even worse than bullies. At least bullies turned into bullies because they were bullied themselves in the past. What is your excuse for turning out so fetching awful?"
Kitten actually took a step back at the young Titan's words. But he didn't stop there.
"People like you don't care about others at all. You just take and take without any regard for those around you. It's no wonder you're perfect to be a villain. You don't even have it in you to be good for the sake of someone else!"
"Whoa, Adam, chill out for a sec dude-" Gar tried to grab Adam's shoulder from behind.
Adam shook his friend off. "I don't care what happens next! I don't care what you threaten me or the others with! Because anything you throw my way can't be worse than this fetching awful evening I've been forced to spend with someone as fetching awful and flat as you!
"I feel so sorry for your dad, having to live the knowledge he raised a fetching failure of a daughter who'll amount to nothing in the real world! Why don't you think about that for a moment, if you have the brainpower that is!"
…
…
Kitten sniffled. Tears appeared in her eyes after Adam's last statement.
Adam continued to scowl, but the storm cloud above him had waned somewhat.
"Dude…" Garfield said unsurely.
"Come on, let's get out of here already. She's not going to be able to control the moths anymore since we have the fetching remote now." Adam spat out.
The view showed Rachel slowly picking up the remote where it was laying on the ground. She examined it, only for her eyes to widen slightly.
"About that… I think we might have a problem here."
Adam and Gar turned their heads to her. She held the remote up for them to see.
There was a very noticeable crack running along the middle of it. Kitten's hand had been covering it up, as it'd been there before it fell to the floor.
Adam's face scrunched up in confusion. But a look of horror slowly settled over Garfield's features.
"... dude… you never had any control over the moths, did you?" Garfield asked Kitten.
"H-How did you know-" Kitten started to say, when she slapped a hand over her mouth, cutting herself off.
Kitten looked down at the floor.
...
"You mean… I went through all of this… for nothing?" Adam asked, looking nearly speechless.
…
Adam took a step back. He'd looked on the verge of exploding in anger, only for his face to contort with terror. "If that thing doesn't work, then that means that no one is controlling those moths at all, and if that's the case-"
(T-Comm sound)
Adam quickly pulled out his T-Comm and opened it. "Yo! You've got moths incoming!" Cyborg yelled on the screen.
Kkkkkkk!
Before they could react, the roof up above was lifted up into the air.
The view showed a series of moths flying up with the roof. Along with many more swarms of them trying to eat up the city all around. A couple of them flew down into the room.
"Ahhhhh!" Somebody screamed.
The prom became chaos from there. As people rushed to cover and tried to hide. More moths filled in all around like pests.
Adam looked to his sides. Garfield and Rachel had taken off their holo-rings. They were still dressed nice and everything, but they had once again become Beast Boy and Raven. In all of their heroic glory.
"Let's go," Raven said as she used a black disk to carry herself up into the air. Black talons spread from her sides, slicing any moths that came her way to dust.
Adam summoned a sword, slashing it through a moth as Beast Boy turned into an eagle. Adam quickly grabbed one of his bottom talons.
"Get to the hallways and don't provoke the moths! We'll take care of this mess!" Adam yelled to the frightened students.
Kitten continued to stand in her spot as Beast Boy flew up with Adam.
Adam looked down at the frightened Kitten. Who stared up at him as he and his Titan friends flew up into battle.
Adam only shook his head in frustration, before the eagle took to the sky with Adam in tow.
The view continued to show Kitten's shell-shocked features as she stared up from the ground. As the moths around her started to eat at everything.
A tear slowly fell down her cheek, before hitting the ground below her.
Ksch! Ksch! Boom!
The scene shifted to show the skyscrapers and ground outside of Muramaki High School. Swarms of moths were feasting on the outside of a lot of the buildings.
Kschhhh!
A long beam of sound cleared off the side of one such building. The view showed Cyborg on the ground, with both his sonic cannons up.
"Rob, I really hope they grab that remote soon! Because we have a lot of ground to cover!" He yelled, before firing another sonic cannon blast.
The view showed Robin on top of one of the smaller buildings. He had his Bo-Staff extended.
Pow! Pow! Pow!
He pounded through moth after moth on the rooftop. While also swatting the moths that tried to swarm around him. He stayed silent and worked as efficiently as he could.
Ksch! Ksch! Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!
The view showed Starfire flying over the building Robin was on. Her hands were pointed at the ground down below, and she was rapidly firing starbolts from her hands. The moths down below on the trees and streets got pounded by the green hail of starbolts.
"Screech!"
Robin looked up at the screech, and the view showed the green eagle dropping Adam down next to him. Before flying onto a building covered with moths.
"Do you have the remote to all this?" Robin asked.
Pow! Pow! Slash! Slash!
Robin hit away two more moths, as Adam in his fine clothes sliced away the moths around him with a sword. "Sorry, but I'm afraid that no one is actually controlling the horde. Her remote was broken." Adam replied.
"So Kitten was lying about controlling them?" Robin asked.
"Yep, unfortunately," Adam replied in a strange deadpan voice. "Way to make me go through all that trauma for nothing."
Robin's face sunk with guilt. "I promise, we'll make it up to you one day."
The two continued fighting alongside each other.
The view moved down to the ground.
Ksch!
Cyborg fired again when he suddenly looked shocked. His head did a full 180 on his neck, and he looked down his back. Two moths were biting down on his metal butt cheeks!
"AHHHHHHHHH! GET THEM OFF! GET THEM OFF!" Cyborg screamed. He ran across the scene, arms high in the air, with the two moths stuck like tails to his backside.
Cyborg ran behind Raven. Her hands were up, and her eyes glowed black. A small swarm of moths was heading through the air toward her.
"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" Raven chanted.
Boom!
The ground exploded up below the moths, and dark ethereal hands crushed most of the smaller swarm. The remainder who tried to escape were taken out by Starfire and her fists.
Still, it seemed like more and more of them just kept coming.
Krrrrrrr!
Adam and Robin felt the building shake below them. Both of them looked at each other in surprise. "These fetchers are going to eat through the whole city for all the good we're doing," Adam said. A spear appeared in his hands, and he chucked it.
Kth!
The spear flew through a line of moths and then impaled itself on the building next to them. The spear disappeared, and Robin was shown holding two bat-a-rangs.
"Just keep fighting!" Robin said before he threw them.
The two bat-a-rangs flew down and across the building. Taking out many of the moths that had managed to eat out pieces of the structure. Before they went back into Robin's hands.
"What happened to Cyborg's nets anyway?! I thought you were going to trap the swarm, not tick it off!" Adam then yelled.
The view showed a swarm of moths flying by the building. It appeared they were feasting on some net-like substance.
"... Oh, I see," Adam said simply.
"Yeah, it didn't work." Robin simply replied.
The view went back to Cyborg. He still had the two moths attached to his butt. "Get them off! Get them off of meeee!" He continued to yell.
Poomph!
The view showed a giant green gorilla land on the ground behind Cyborg. He quickly grabbed him, stopping Cyborg in his tracks. The two moths were clearly seen down below still trying to eat at Cyborg's butt. The gorilla raised its other hand.
Whack! Whack!
The two moths were hit out of existence as the gorilla spanked Cyborg. Cyborg's head turned around and looked at his butt again. He sighed in relief. "Thanks for the help B." He said gratefully.
The gorilla morphed, and a smiling Beast Boy stood in view. "Just watch your bum next time dude." He said before he morphed into a cheetah and ran towards a group of moths on the ground.
Cyborg quickly raised his sonic cannons again. "Nobody takes a piece out of me and gets away with it!" He yelled angrily before he fired his sonic cannons at the swarm in the air again.
The view showed Starfire. She stopped in the air and looked around herself. A small swarm of moths surrounded her. They were buzzing angrily.
The swarm dove in, and Starfire curled into a ball. She was lost from the view for a moment as the moths surrounded her form.
KSCH!
A massive burst of green energy exploded outwards. Taking out the small swarm around Starfire. She floated down exhaustedly to the ground and landed lightly on it.
"There are still too, the many," Starfire said. Even as more moths appeared in the air above her.
Pow!
A truck covered in dark ethereal energy slammed into those moths. Taking them out. Raven appeared from the ground next to Starfire. Her outfit now had dirt stains and flakes of moth on it.
"We can't protect everything here," Raven said flatly.
The Titans were all shown in their various positions. With Adam and Robin on the badly damaged building. Cyborg and Beast Boy on one part of the ground. And Raven and Starfire at another part of the ground. The still large moth swarm hung over them all. Eating away at all the skyscrapers all around.
"F… Fetch. I almost want to take back what I said before." Adam groaned to himself.
"What?" Robin asked.
"I may have said a few choice words to Kitten about wanting to fight the swarm instead of being forced to stay with her." Adam shrugged.
Robin looked at him as if he'd grown a second head.
"I couldn't handle any more torture, sue me."
"You know, I don't know if I wouldn't have made the same choice myself now." Robin looked over to Starfire. His face scrunched up, but he then focused on the immediate threat in front of them again.
The moths almost chuckled evilly to themselves, before another part of the whole swarm dove down to where the Titans were at.
The Titans prepared to defend themselves…
Crack!
The large swarm suddenly stopped in its tracks. Sudden fear seemed to fill their miniature eyes. The Titans looked around in confusion.
"What was that?" Robin asked.
"They are the pausing?" Starfire asked.
"No, it's like they're afraid... but of what?" Beast Boy said confusedly.
Adam pointed down the street, his eyes wide. "I don't believe it…"
Crack! Crack!
The view moved to show Kitten, holding a large orange whip in her hands. She was riding on the back of a massive, angry moth.
Crack! "You babies are in sooooooo much trouble!"
She cracked her long, orange energy whip again. Her pet flew through the air toward the swarm. "It's time for you to receive your punishment!" She yelled.
Then the view showed her large moth slam into the swarm. Its large mouth opened, sending a bunch of the moths down its gullet. Kitten's whip raced through several moths at the same time, turning them to dust almost instantly.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Kitten continued to crack her whip around, taking out even more of the moths.
Robin smirked at the top of the building. Background victory music started to play as he pointed up at the swarm. "Titans, go!" He yelled.
"Haha!" "Yeah!" "Sweet!" "Alright!" The various Titans all charged forward in an array of glory.
The view showed a group of moths trying to flee down the street. Cyborg and a green eagle appeared from behind a car. Cyborg had both his sonic cannons up. "Die! Die! Die!" Cyborg yelled.
Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!
The sonic cannons tore through the moths like they were made of paper. Their flaky remains fell down slowly to the ground.
"Scree!" The eagle screeched as it flew through the rest. Using its beak like a miniature sword to destroy them.
Soon, there were no more moths left fleeing that way. Cyborg put his hands on his hips proudly as the eagle landed on one of his shoulders. Giving the thumbs up to both of them.
"Booyah!" He yelled.
The view then showed more of the moths trying to flee between two skyscrapers.
Starfire appeared in the middle of them. Her eyes glowed a bright green. "Though we might be the enemies, I will be needing the help for this!" Starfire yelled fiercely.
Kschhhhh!
She fired a long series of eye beams. Taking out most of the group that tried to flee past her. The rest, at seeing how most of their brethren went, decided to take their chances back with the swarm. Where they were caught in the crossfire with Kitten's moth and whip.
Starfire sighed in relief.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Kitten continued to crack her whip, even as her large moth below her continued to eat up most of the swarm.
A moth flew through the air behind her. It looked to be on a course to ram her.
Twang!
An arrow flew through the moth before it hit Kitten. She looked back in surprise at the flaky remains behind her, before looking down towards a building.
Adam stood on the edge, firing arrow after arrow into the swarm next to Robin who was throwing bat-a-rang after bat-a-rang.
Kitten actually smiled and continued to crack her whip at the remaining moths around her.
The remaining moths finally looked around themselves and realized that most of them were gone. The moth swarm gathered together away from Kitten, and the other Titans. And prepared to fly up away into the air above the city to escape.
A black dome appeared above them though. And then the dome expanded until it finally enveloped the last of the moths. The terrible screeching of the moths was at last contained.
The dome shrank. And then disappeared, along with the last of the moths.
The victory background music ended.
Raven was shown standing on the ground. Her dark black eyes finally stopped glowing with energy. She looked down at her dress.
It was covered in flakes and slime.
"This is going to need several cycles in the washer." She said blandly.
The view faded to black.
The scene showed the inside of Muramaki High School. The music from the band before was playing again, and the dance floor was filled with all the couples again.
They were laughing, and having a good time, with the cool night air blowing in through the now roofless building.
It seemed not even a swarm of moths could ruin prom night for most of them. And many just looked grateful to have a view of the stars up above now. As well as the Titans there to enjoy the party with them.
The view moved to a secluded part of the gym where a table was set up. Kitten was in one of the seats, with Adam, Cyborg, Starfire, and Robin in the other seats. They were facing her.
Kitten's giant moth had its head resting on a portion of the wall that had been eaten away by the moths earlier. It had a content look on its face that only grew as Starfire happily pet it while feeding it snacks she'd gotten from a nearby table.
"Okay, so let me get this straight. You 'accidentally' released all those moths on the city?" Robin asked.
Kitten shrunk a little in her seat. "Yes." She said quietly.
"How the heck do you accidentally release a bunch of moths from their tanks?!" Cyborg asked incredulously.
"Well… it all started last evening..." Kitten started.
The scene suddenly showed a flashback memory.
Kitten came walking into her dad's lab with a makeup kit in one hand. The other was holding a small circular mirror so she could admire her face. The moths were visible in their tanks all around.
"Oh, if only I could find out where Daddy went. There's been no sign of Fang either. And worst of all I still can't find anyone who'll go with me to the Senior Prom." Past Kitten sighed to herself.
"If only Daddy were here. He'd be able to help me blackmail the Teen Titans again and then-"
The view showed the ground in front of her feet. An old, dusty canister was lying on the ground in the middle of the dust. She stepped on it.
"Wahhhhh!" Poof!
Kitten fell onto her back in the middle of the dust. Her makeup kit, mirror, and a couple of things from her kit landed in the dust around her.
She coughed as the dust floated down back onto her face. "Stupid daddy! He never cleans up after himself before he leaves for business!" Kitten said angrily as she lifted her hand up. Reaching for something to help herself up. "Why did he have to disappear!? Why hasn't he come back yet!? Doesn't he know that I miss him!?"
Her hand grabbed the lever and pulled down on it.
And that's when the tops of all the tanks opened up. And a bunch of hungry moths was released from captivity.
The scene went back to the present Kitten. She was looking down at the table. "And that's how all of this happened." She said sadly.
…
Robin leaned back in his chair. A conflicted look was on his face.
"You said you haven't seen your dad in a while?" Robin asked curiously.
Kitten nodded. Tears actually came to her eyes. "No one has seen him… or Fang..."
"Do you have any idea what happened to them?" Robin asked, being a little more soft-spoken than before. "I know both of them were released recently. I would have assumed they'd be back in Jump City by now. Especially since you're here."
Kitten shook her head. "No… I'm… not sure… I haven't seen anyone since getting back… no one has come by the house or anything.
"Maybe… maybe Adam's right… maybe my dad does think I'm nothing but a failure now… maybe he decided that I wasn't worth it and… a-abandoned me..."
…
The view showed the other Titans. Even Starfire, who hated Kitten with a passion, looked sorry for her.
"I've… just been so lonely lately, and I… I thought this was the only chance I'd have to have a date for my Senior Prom… I wanted it to be perfect so that… so that I could think about something besides my Father, and… and… wahhhhhh!" Kitten began to cry.
Tears fell down the sides of her face.
The spoiled brat of a billionaire was actually crying. And it was real.
…
The view focused on Adam. He looked down at the table too, and his fists clenched at his sides.
He looked torn for a moment… and more so than the fact that the other Titans were staring at him now.
"Remember, as Titans, we sometimes have to make sacrifices to help others out. I'm sorry to ask so much of you, but it's better to do this and save lives than to not lend a hand at all."
Adam groaned at the memory of Robin's voice. He seriously wasn't considering this, was he?!
...
...
Then again, did they only have to save the lives of civilians?
…
…
"You know…" Adam finally spoke after a moment. "I don't think Prom is over just yet… Kitten." Adam forced himself to say.
The girl looked up from the table in surprise. "Wh-What?" She sniffled as she asked.
Adam looked up too. He saw Robin and the others staring at him in shock now. And seeing the looks on their faces, he managed to make a small smile appear on his face. "I'm… sorry for what I said earlier. I was too harsh, and a little too quick to judge.
"I have some personality flaws of my own. I can be very blunt when talking to others, and when I get angry or frustrated... well, that bluntness loses what little filter I have on it. And I hurt others because of that…"
"... no," Kitten's eyes fell again. "You were right. I'm not a good person, and I've never really tried to be a good person. I'm self-aware enough to understand that much."
…
"Well, whether that is true or not, I can also understand not wanting to be alone… and feeling abandoned by your past and those who cared about you…
"So how about, for now, we finish our date? You're only going to get one Senior Prom in your life, after all. And then, maybe afterward, you can work on trying to become a better person for when we find your Father again?" Adam suggested.
…
Kitten went through several different looks. From shock to sadness, to pondering…
"Do you… do you really mean it?" She asked.
Adam nodded. "I'd love it if you could prove me wrong again."
…
A look of extreme happiness covered the former villainous's face.
"Okay! Thank you, Adam-poo!" She yelled.
Before Adam could reply, she instantly jumped up from her chair and grabbed Adam by the hand.
"Make way! Future billionaires coming through!" Kitten yelled as she dragged Adam behind her faster than a racecar at the Indy 500.
Adam already looked to be partially regretting his decision.
Cyborg laughed at the sight. Starfire simply smiled, as she petted the head of the huge moth next to her. The moth purred loudly at Starfire's loving touch.
"Well Titans, I guess we can finally call this a good day… or two good days of work," Robin said. He finally looked a little tired out.
Cyborg stopped laughing to look around. "Yo, wait a minute. Where did B and Rae wander off to?" Cyborg asked.
Starfire looked around herself too. And then she giggled as she pointed. "Awwww..."
The view showed Robin and Cyborg looking at where she was pointing. And then their jaws dropped to the ground.
"What!?" Both of them yelled in surprise.
Raven and Beast Boy were dancing in the middle of the crowd. To a slow song, with their ruffled and battered nice clothes on, and they weren't wearing any holo-rings either.
He held one of her hands up, while the other green hand stayed up near her pale shoulder blade.
Both of them… well at least Beast Boy was smiling. It was hard to tell with Raven.
"Well, I'll be..." Cyborg finally said. A smile came onto his face.
Robin looked at Starfire. He smiled too. "May I also have this dance, my princess?" He asked her with his hand extended.
"You may the certainly, my prince." Starfire accepted graciously, as she took his hand. The two of them walked out to the dance floor hand in hand.
Cyborg was left all by his lonesome. He looked around himself and realized that he was alone.
"Awwww, why do I always have to remain the third wheel in every freaking relationship!" He complained.
The view moved to the dancing couple in the middle of all the other dancing couples. Beast Boy leaned his head close to Raven's ear. "What happened to not in public?" He asked her teasingly.
"If you point it out one more time, the next date for us will be on the sands of the seventh plain of hell," Raven said bitingly.
It didn't help that she had the world's largest red blush filling both of her cheeks as she danced with the world's biggest dork.
They hadn't been made the prom king and queen for this event. That honor was being held by the generic cute couple from earlier. But the pair didn't need such a title anyway.
Beast Boy laughed to himself and continued to dance with the embarrassed Raven. While in the background, Kitten was shown spinning Adam around her.
"Heeeelllllllppppppp mmmeeeeeeeeeeee!" Adam yelled desperately.
"Hehehehe!" Kitten giggled joyously.
The view faded to black…

End of Season Six, Episode Ten: The Devil Wears Pink
Author's Notes:
Man, I almost wanted to fit a Trigon joke in here somewhere but decided against it. I will say though, I really did flesh out parts of this quite a bit. I'm glad I was able to have that kind of time.
I hope this was an enjoyable episode. And for those that don't like self-insert OCs, I hope you enjoyed seeing my younger self being traumatized by Kitten.
I really don't like spoiled brats very much in real life. I almost did become one growing up. And I'm so glad that I avoided becoming that awful, though I still have that problem of being dangerously blunt years later in life. Though, sometimes, it really does only take someone having the balls to not be a 'yes man' for someone to finally change. Maybe that is what Kitten needed? I don't know, I haven't read the comics that she's a part of in a long time.
I'm going to look forward to posting the next Episode. Stay tuned!
Till Next Time
