The view showed the T-Tower again. The sun was now up in the afternoon sky.

The view moved to the Common Room.

"She what!?" Robin asked in disbelief.

Cyborg shook his head. "Yeah, Rae broke up with B on the spot shortly after you left," Cyborg said sadly. "He… he even admitted that he loved my little sis…"

Pbbbthhh!

Cyborg blew his nose into a large box of Kleenex. The poor robot man was bawling.

Starfire shook her head sadly. "I must go and make the pudding of sadness for friend Beast Boy at once."

Adam blinked a couple more times. "Raven… really broke up with him? But that doesn't make any sense."

Robin stepped forward. "Do you know where Beast Boy is?"

"In his room. He wouldn't come out of there no matter how much I knocked."

"The green bean even cut off access to his door. I can't use the tower's systems to open it or anything!"

Robin curtly nodded his head. "I'm joining you this time. I still remember what Terra was like, but Beast Boy's liked Raven for years… if that really has grown to love, then I can't imagine how he's taking things right now." Robin said before he ran for the doors.

Cyborg blew his nose one more time before throwing the box of kleenex into the trash and running after him.

Thmmm.

The doors slid open, and Robin and Cyborg ran out. Starfire flew behind them with a hastily put-together bowl of pudding of sadness before the doors closed.

Adam, however, was still rooted in his spot. "Raven… really broke up with him… even though he loved her…"

"Yet wouldn't she know he loved her because of her empath powers?"

Adam frowned again. And a sigh escaped his lips.

"How stupid can they be…?"

He sat down on the couch, burying his face into his hands.

...

...

"And how stupid can I be for digging into this mess in the first place…"

Thmmm.

The Common Room doors slid open. And Raven walked into view. She looked around herself.

The scene showed the left of the Common Room to the right. The early morning sun was coming in through the windows.

It was the day after the break up... and she looked mostly fine.

Those definitely weren't bags under her eyes from experiencing two nights of little to restless sleep in a row.

...

As the view moved from left to right, at first, no one was in sight.

Then, her eyes fell on Adam, who was sitting alone at the table on the right. He was reading a book and had bags under his eyes too.

"Good morning," Raven said politely.

Adam grunted in response. Not looking up from what he was reading. "We really don't get much sleep. Do we?"

Raven calmly walked over to the kitchen and pulled a spare tea kettle from a cabinet. She started to fill it up with water while ignoring Adam's poignant remark.

...

"I watched the video." Adam suddenly spoke gruffly.

"You say that like I'm supposed to know what that means," Raven replied dryly.

"Fine. I watched the footage from yesterday." Adam rolled his eyes to himself. "You two really broke up, huh?"

Raven didn't look at him. "I'll just tell you what I've already told the others. It would've never worked out between me and Beast Boy." Raven said flatly, with a tone of finality. "So I decided to end things now before they were ruined in the future. That's all."

"Why?"

Raven's eyebrow went up at the one word. She set her tea kettle on the stove and then turned around.

However, Adam was staring tiredly down at his book.

"What?"

"I said, why?" He told her without looking up still.

Raven blinked. She was slightly confused by his meaning. "Why what?" She asked.

Adam shrugged, still not looking up from what he was reading. "Why?"

...

Raven rolled her eyes. If this was Adam's way of approaching her about the subject, then she wasn't very impressed.

"It wouldn't have worked out between us," Raven answered flatly. She turned the stove on.

"Why?" Adam again asked without looking up from his book.

"I told you why. Now drop it." Raven responded.

"Why?" Adam asked again.

Raven didn't respond.

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Why?"

Raven grabbed a tea bag from another cabinet. Her fist closed tightly around it as her other hand tapped against the countertop. "Can this teapot boil any faster?" She muttered under her breath.

"Why?"

"Asking why over and over again isn't going to change my answer," Raven responded to Adam again at last.

"Why?" Adam asked again.

"By Azar-" Raven clapped a hand over her mouth. She then turned around to face Adam. Her amethyst eyes were on the verge of turning red. This wouldn't be happening to her right now if she'd managed to actually get some bloody sleep last night?!

"Have you not heard me you dolt?! I said it was because it wouldn't work out! It would never work out between me and Gar!"

Adam finally looked up from his book. His tired brown eyes looked her in the eyes with all the seriousness they possessed.

"Why?"

The red in her eyes disappeared. It was like she lost all of her anger within a second. Her head hung down in front of her.

"Fine… It's because… I'm afraid that a relationship between me and Garfield would never work out in the long term." Raven finally admitted.

"You're afraid? Why?" Adam finally set his book down on the table, showing he'd been reading another file that he'd grabbed from Robin's desk over the pages of his book. "Aren't you an empath? Can't you tell exactly what Beast Boy feels for you?"

"Of course, I can tell!" Raven snapped. "But, in the future, it… things could be different, I don't know what'd happen, or, or if…"

"If Beast Boy could turn out to be just like Malchior later on?" Adam asked pointedly.

Raven looked up in surprise. "I might not have heard about all the stories yet, but I think I've read enough about that douche in Robin's reports to know he was someone who used your feelings to hurt you," Adam said. "So do you really think Beast Boy would become like that in the future?"

"No! Gar could never be like that evil dragon! He is far too kind and sweet, unlike that piece of unredeemable filth!"

"An… evil dragon?" Adam tiredly cocked his head to the side. He, apparently, hadn't read that part of the report yet, either that or he had read it and hadn't made the connection. "How did you develop feelings for a dragon? I thought based on what I was reading he was just some fake wizard that…"

"..." Raven glared at Adam, and even though he was tired he realized now probably wasn't the best time to ask these kinds of questions.

"Alright, shelve that. My point is, do you really think Beast Boy would try to hurt you the way that… dragon did?" Adam asked.

"No! Never!" Raven again yelled. Some glassware behind her was encased in black.

"Then do you think he'd simply betray you for another girl like Terra in the future?" Adam pressed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The glass behind Raven exploded. And then a Raven with four burning red eyes was holding Adam up in the air by the end of his shirt. "How dare you suggest that?! Garfield is as loyal a friend as any I've ever had! He would never do something like that!" She yelled with all the fury of Perdition.

...

Despite the situation, Adam was actually smirking tiredly in victory. "Then please tell me, why are you so afraid of what could happen in the future?" Adam asked.

The demonic Raven blinked her four eyes. It was like the inside of her mind was slowly processing what had just happened.

Tweeeeeee!

Raven's tea kettle finally blew out steam on the stove.

Raven's eyes became normal again, and she dropped Adam back down into his seat. She turned around and used her powers to piece the glassware back together before she grabbed her kettle.

"It's… like I said earlier. We're just too different from each other." Raven said depressedly. "He likes video games, he likes being loud, he likes being social… and I'm just, boring... he'd grow sick of me eventually.

"After all, it's not like I'd be able to change for him either… I'm just, not him."

"You know, if we're going to list things about you two, I can say that you're pretty narrow-minded," Adam said after a moment.

Raven actually looked back at Adam again. "Beast Boy also doesn't have gray skin. He doesn't have purple eyes or hair. He doesn't speak in a dry monotonous tone that sounds like gravel moving around. He prefers comics over books and comedies over dark movies.

"He isn't half-demon. He doesn't have a demonic overlord for a father. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and." Adam paused to drive the point home. "Last time I checked, he wasn't the cause of the world almost being destroyed more than once before."

Raven gritted her teeth. "What's your point in listing all the things that ruin my already low self-esteem?" She irritably asked.

"He wasn't allowed to have a childhood either." Adam then continued. "Just like a certain someone in this room."

Raven's eyes widened at his words.

"You're an empath. You know not only about his feelings but his pain. And you know what the cause of that pain is."

"He gained his powers at the age of five in Africa. His parents died in a waterfall accident soon after. His only uncle tried to kill him so he could take his brother's inheritance money. He had to learn how to control his powers with the Doom Patrol and still struggles with controlling the darker aspects of himself to this day. Just like a certain someone in this room.

"His jokes are terrible, but he tells them to try and uplift those around him. He cares more about his friends than he does about himself. He's at his happiest when those around him are happy. And he'll do anything for the sake of his friends, also like a certain someone in this room."

"And even when he's sad and depressed, he tries to hide it behind a mask when around his teammates. Just like a certain someone in this room."

Adam slammed the files he'd been studying from Robin on the table.

A couple of them he might have grabbed while Robin wasn't in there. He really hoped Beast Boy would forgive him for digging around in his past. But some of what he'd said had also come from personal observation.

And, somehow, he was sure he'd known all this about his friend before. It was only in studying what Robin had documented about their green teammate that he knew for certain it was the truth.

And Raven with her empathy knew that Adam wasn't lying to her with any of what he'd said.

"I don't think you two are as different as you think."

"And even if you still believe that nonsense I think you'd have to be pretty stupid to not realize that Beast Boy knows all about what you're like, and yet that didn't stop him from loving you anyway.

"Or you from loving him, for that matter."

A cricket could be heard in the distance.

Raven didn't have a response.

Adam put the files away in a separate folder. He then shrugged tiredly and picked his book back up off the table. "I'm just saying, don't let fear keep you two from being happy right now…

"Maybe things won't work out in the future. Maybe you'll have a falling out. Maybe it'll be some big deal and you two will never be able to forgive each other ever again. Or, maybe one day, a villain will get lucky and end one of your lives.

"... Or maybe, things will end amicably for you two and you'll be able to continue as friends. Or, what I think is more likely, things will work out for you two. You'll retire as heroes, train the next generation, settle down together, and have a few kids of your own or whatever.

"It's not like you have much to worry about in that regard right now since we're all teenagers here. And I'm sure Robin and Starfire will seal the knot long before you two will ever have the chance.

"How's that saying go?... The past is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That's why it's called 'the present'. You shouldn't be worried about something that'll happen in the distant future. And instead, you should be focusing on the gift you have in front of you right now.

"Otherwise, you'll just be unhappy for the rest of your life."

There was another long pause between them. Adam shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Raven still didn't respond.

"Just think about it, will you?." Adam said softly.

"I'd hate it if my two friends became unhappy because I tried to interfere…"

Adam finally became silent.

Raven looked back at her teacup. The tea inside had long since cooled. She couldn't even remember pouring it for herself.

He'd told her a lot. And her thoughts were still trying to make sense of it all.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The klaxons on the walls started to blare.

Adam slammed his book shut. "Alright, time to take a fetching villain down!" He looked too happy to escape the awkward situation he'd placed himself into with his stubbornness from earlier.

Lack of sleep really brought out the stubbornness in him.

Raven still said nothing. Looking down at the floor as the scene around her faded.

"Screeeeech!"

The view showed Plasmus in the middle of a downtown street. Crowds were running away all around him as he lifted a cement truck off the ground and raised it to his mouth.

"Blech!" Plasmus spat out the cement onto a nearby building. Coating it in the fast, hardening stuff. He then threw the truck down the street.

The view showed the shadow of the truck appearing over a baby carriage. A woman quickly grabbed her baby from it and tried to run away. But she tripped on something on the ground and looked up in fear at the oncoming cement truck.

"Aughhhhhhh-"

Robin appeared in view on his bat grappling hook, and he grabbed the lady off the ground as he swung by.

Crash!

The cement truck landed right where the woman had been at just a second before.

Kschhhhh!

A long, blue sonic beam slammed into Plasmus's chest. Making a big hole through the center of it.

Cyborg appeared. "Yo, you did not just try to hurt a baby!" Cyborg yelled angrily. He fired again, as the other Titans appeared and attacked.

The view showed Robin setting the woman down further away from the fight. "Thank you." She quickly said to him, before she ran off with her baby in her arms.

Robin nodded his head and quickly ran back to rejoin the fight.

Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!

A series of starbolts slammed into the top of Plasmus. Leaving scarred bits of goo on top of his shoulders and head.

"Screeeech!" Plasmus shrieked again before he lobbed a thing of goo up at Starfire.

Pow! Kschhhh!

Starfire was hit dead on and fell down to the ground next to Cyborg, who was firing his sonic cannon again. "Ewwww..." Starfire said as she tried to wipe away the…

Starfire suddenly sniffed curiously. "The goo of Plasmus doesn't do the smelling," Starfire said.

Cyborg looked to the side in surprise. "Wait, what-" He was saying.

Pow!

Cyborg was launched back into a car by another glob of goo. He sniffed at himself curiously too. "Man, Plasmus must have not been to a sewage plant in weeks or something." He said in a happier tone of voice.

"That should make this fight a little bit easier," Robin said before he threw two disks at Plasmus.

Kchch! Kchch!

The two disks made contact, and both of Plasmus's arms froze up. He looked at each of them, as Adam ran up with a sword in hand.

The two frozen appendages burst free before Adam was within slicing range.

Pow!

Adam was backhanded and slapped far back into the air. He slammed into the side of a truck. "Easy, my butt!" Adam yelled angrily. "Come on, at least let me attack you big pile of slop!"

"Screeech!" Plasmus shrieked again before he fired more globs from his hands.

Adam and Robin jumped to the sides, dodging a part of the volley. Starfire flew up, dodging another part.

Pow!

Cyborg was buried under even more glob. "A little help here!" He yelled.

Adam immediately ran up to him and started to slice off some of the goo around Cyborg. "I thought you said it was supposed to be soft," Adam said.

"It feels like it!" Cyborg said.

"Well, it's tough for me," Adam replied as he kept on hacking away at the strange slime-like substance.

"Groaar!" A large green grizzly bear appeared in front of Plasmus. It used its claws to try and slice through Plasmus's front.

It hardly left any scratches on the surface skin though, and those quickly healed over.

Cyborg, who'd been about to joke about Adam's lack of upper body strength, blanched at what he witnessed. "Maybe Plasmus actually beefed up?"

Plasmus angrily looked down as the nearly thousand-pound bear sweatdropped.

Pow!

The green grizzly bear was launched back into the air. It went head over heels before it morphed into Beast Boy. He landed gracefully on the ground a ways away.

"He doesn't stink, but his goo definitely feels thicker than before." He said as he shook his hand of the bit of goo on them. "Physical attacks are going to be even less effective than usual."

Robin pulled more disks from his belt. "I guess we'll have to use a more explosive means to take him down then," Robin said before he threw all three of the disks at the same time.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The three explosions tore away parts of Plasmus's body.

Kschhhhhhh!

Starfire's eyebolts from above quickly vaporized the appendages on the ground before they could reattach. And the eyebolts then moved up one side of his body.

Ksch! Ksch!

Cyborg fired both of his sonic cannons at Plasmus. Cutting two different holes through his chest. "I like the way you think Rob!"

Twang! Twang! Twang!

Adam fired arrow after arrow at Plasmus. Tearing off the outer layers of his head, arms, and legs.

"Screeech!" Plasmus shrieked in anger. And within the space of a couple of seconds, his appendages reformed from the goo around his body. He threw more globs of goo at the Titans.

"Aw fetch!" Adam dove to the side.

Pow!

The truck behind him was blasted apart by the goo. Adam looked back in surprise. "Okay, I think we only ticked him off a little more,"

"You think?!" Kschhhh!

Cyborg's sonic cannon blasted another hole in Plasmus's body.

"Screeech!" Plasmus shrieked again.

"Raven, do your thing now!" Robin ordered.

Pow! Pow!

Two cars encased in black slammed Plasmus in the face. He reeled back from the hit.

A dark portal formed in the air above Plasmus, and Raven came out of it. With her cloak billowing around her. She got into a cross-legged position.

"Azarath-"

Pow!

Plasmus took one of the cars and hit Raven hard. She flew through the air like a ragdoll and disappeared into an alleyway.

The others were shocked. "Raven," Robin said in surprise. He made to move towards the alleyway.

"Rae!" Beast Boy yelled worriedly. He morphed into a cheetah and ran like lightning toward where his fallen teammate had disappeared.

"Screeech!" Plasmus shrieked in front of the Titans again in victory.

Robin looked hard-faced at the villain. "Take him down!" Robin ordered. He threw two sets of disks from his hands.

Boom! Boom! Twang! Twang! Twang! Kschhhhh!

"Screeeeeeeeeech!"

The scene moved to the side alleyway.

"Ugh..." Raven groaned. She looked pretty hurt.

A green cheetah appeared, and it ran down the alleyway toward her. Raven looked up as the cheetah morphed into Beast Boy in front of her.

"Rae?" Beast Boy said worriedly. "Are you ok?"

Raven got up on one knee, and then she faltered.

"Whoa, Raven!" Beast Boy said, quickly darting in to steady her with his hands.

Raven's vision went shaky for a moment, and then it finally cleared as she rubbed her head with one hand. She looked up and saw Beast Boy's face up close.

"Raven, are you okay?!" He asked again worriedly. "Please, if it was my fault for not taking up his attention, then I'm sorry! Please, be okay Rae!"

...

The view took from Raven's point of view. She stared up at him. She could see the waves of pain and heartache coming off of him with her empathic powers. It was greater than any other time she'd ever seen it from him.

And yet here he was, still there at her side making sure she was okay.

...

"And even if you still believe that nonsense I think you'd have to be pretty stupid to not realize that Beast Boy knows all about what you're like, and yet that didn't stop him from loving you anyway." Adam's voice said in the background.

The view showed Raven's hand move from her head, and grab one of Beast Boy's hands. He looked at her hand in surprise, and then back to her face. She had a tear falling down her cheek.

"I'm not okay Gar. I haven't been for a while…"

And then her other hand grabbed the back of his head.

She pulled him in and kissed him.

Beast Boy was shocked at first…

And then, he started to melt into the kiss. One of his arms wrapped around Raven, and he embraced her to him.

After a couple of seconds, Raven finally released the kiss. She stared at Beast Boy, seeing the pain and heartache melting away from him like dew on a summer breeze. She mustered a small, Raven-like smile.

"I'm… I'm better now." Raven said quietly. Her hand rubbed through the hair on Beast Boy's head.

Beast Boy said nothing. Words couldn't express how happy he felt at that moment. He embraced Raven to him again, and she embraced him.

"I'm so, so sorry Garfield." Raven quietly cried.

"Nah, it's fine, dude." Beast Boy grinned like an idiot.

"No, it's not fine, I was so horrible to you when I was trying to push you away and-"

"It's fine." Beast Boy hugged her more tightly. "I understand why you did it. You're not the only one who's been afraid of what the future could hold in store for us."

"Then... then why did you want to be with me anyway?" She asked.

He smiled for her, moving a loose bang of hair from her face. "Do you even have to ask?"

From her view, it was as if his feelings were surrounding her like a warm blanket.

Raven let more tears escape from her eyes. She buried her face into his shoulder as the weight of it all was finally allowed to settle against her.

...

"I... I was so cruel to you…"

"Hey, I can admit that I do stuff that makes me deserve it sometimes."

"S-Sometimes?" Raven chuckled as she stuttered the word out.

"Hey, don't go ruining our moment. That's my job." Beast Boy complained.

Raven's chuckle turned into an unrestrained laugh. Trash cans nearby were encased in black, but Beast Boy's smile was as bright as the sun as he laughed along with her.

It couldn't have been more perfect for her… he couldn't have been more perfect than he was in that moment...

Boom!

Cyborg came crashing in through one of the walls. A series of holes went through the building beside him.

Beast Boy and Raven stopped laughing and separated in surprise.

Cyborg didn't even notice them though. "Yo, now I need to redo the paint job on my back you stupid little-" Cyborg yelled as he ran out of view.

Ksch! Boom! Boom! Boom! Kschhhhh!

The sounds of more fighting followed soon after.

The two looked at each other. "Soooo, we good now?"

Raven sighed to herself. "So much for either of us ruining the moment."

Beast Boy laughed again, and a small smile appeared on Raven's face. "Probably for the best. Right now, we have a villain to take down. "

"Right."

Beast Boy shook himself over, and then he was grinning his classic Beast Boy grin again. "I'll follow your lead dude… um… ette?" Beast Boy said unsurely.

Raven smirked. "To think I fell in love with a stupid green elf," Raven said amusedly. She didn't even look mad that she was admitting that to herself now.

"Hey!" Beast Boy said indignantly.

Raven silenced him with a peck on the lips, then pulled back so he'd give her his full attention. "This is what I want us to do…"

The view showed Plasmus again.

Boom!

Another one of Plasmus's arms was blown off. He simply shrugged it off like the last few times, however, and a new appendage grew in its place.

Ksch! Ksch! Ksch!

Three different starbolts exploded against his front. And again, the damage from those three was quickly replaced.

Ksch!

A steel-tipped spear drove itself into one of Plasmus's yellow beady eyes. "Screeech!" He shrieked in pain as the other end of it exited behind his head.

The view showed Adam raising a hand up. "Haha! Yeah! What a throw!"

Pow!

Two tentacles went out from Plasmus, knocking Adam back into another car next to Cyborg. He groaned as he got up tiredly again.

"Never mind. I'm tired of this crap. Can somebody please take him down already?" Adam tiredly asked.

Ksch!

Cyborg fired again. "Trying to man," Cyborg said as his sonic beam again took another part off of Plasmus.

That was again quickly replaced.

Starfire darted down from the sky to deliver a close-up starbolt to the face.

Snatch!

Plasmus grabbed her out of the air.

"Eeeeep!" Starfire shrieked in surprise.

"Starfire!" Robin ran forward to free his girlfriend.

Slash!

A green blur suddenly sliced through the outstretched tentacle. Starfire fell harmlessly down to the ground.

Plasmus backed up in surprise.

"The fetch?" Cyborg asked as Adam opened his mouth to say the same thing.

Slash!

Part of his back end disappeared.

Slash!

Part of his front disappeared.

Slash!

One of his arms disappeared.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

And so on, and so forth.

"Screeech!" Plasmus shrieked in confusion. A green blur moved faster than the eye could follow around him. Cutting off piece after piece after piece.

Plasmus kept on reforming, but he got preoccupied with looking around himself. He was trying to find the source of the green blur mutilating him.

Again, a dark portal formed in the air. And Raven came out of it cross-legged. This time, Plasmus didn't look up to see it in time.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" She chanted.

Her dark soul self came out of her body, and then it flew into the confused Plasmus down below…

Boom!

Plasmus at last violently exploded outwards. Covering all the nearby buildings in his unstinky gunk.

The dude who turned into Plasmus, at last, lay asleep on the ground.

The Titans lowered their arms, now covered with goo in surprise.

For some reason, a bunch of car fresheners was covering his body.

"Is that why he didn't smell before?" Cyborg asked.

"That doesn't make any sense," Adam said confusedly.

"Since when does anything these villains do ever make sense?" Cyborg responded heatedly.

...

"Fair point."

The view then showed Raven, now covered in goo, floating down to the ground with a calm look on her face. The green blur from before finally stopped next to her, showing the large imposing form of the Beast.

It shook itself, launching the goo off itself onto Raven.

"Gar!" Raven said a little angrily, though there was a laugh in her voice too. Her hand rubbed along the Beast's snout, and the Beast purred as it rubbed its head into her hand.

The other Titans' confusion only grew at the sight. "Ummmm… am I the only one seeing this?" Cyborg asked.

"No… I think that part actually makes sense… somewhat." Adam said unsurely.

"Does this mean friend Beast Boy has done the Earthly reconciliation with friend Raven?!" Starfire asked excitedly.

"P... Possibly." Robin also looked unsure.

But they were all okay now. He sighed in relief, seeing the members of his team all in good spirits again.

The scene faded to black…

The view showed the Titan's Common Room again.

Pow! Pow! Pow! Wham!

Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Adam were sitting on the couch. Adam and Beast Boy played the robots game while Cyborg watched.

Starfire was in the kitchen. She whistled to herself as she made dinner for them all.

The view focused on the table, where Robin was sitting. Raven was standing by the window next to the table.

"So… are there no problems between you and Beast Boy now?" Robin asked.

Raven shook her head. "There's definitely going to be some things we'll work on. I'm planning on getting him a joke book with some actual good jokes in it for his birthday." Raven said flatly. "I'm also going to help him do his laundry more often. And maybe try out a book instead of a comic."

"And, I'm going to go with him to a movie theatre for a date. And I'm going to remove some of the creepier artifacts from my room. And I'm going to try out a comic he suggested for me."

Robin's eyebrow went up. "So you two are good now? Just like that?"

Raven smirked. "Yes. Believe it or not, Adam talked a little sense into me before we battled against Plasmus.

"He helped me realize some things. So now, I'm going to be trying out a relationship with Garfield again." Raven said with a little more happiness in her tone than usual.

"That's good… what did he say to you?"

The two looked back at the Titans on the couch. "Yeah! Woohoo! Go Beast Boy! Go Beast Boy!" Beast Boy yelled and danced as the screen blared "Victory!" for his robot again.

Adam, and Cyborg, who had been beaten earlier too, looked a little mad.

"... Or you from loving him, for that matter." Adam's voice finished in the background.

Raven smirked. "Let's just say he made me realize I was letting my fear control my actions again… and that the future could be so much more than what I was thinking."

"Also, I learned he might have stolen some files containing Beast Boy's background information from your desk. He knows about his parents and everything."

Robin's eyebrow went up even more in surprise when Raven faced him with a frown. "If you lend him any more reports on the rest of us, I will personally send you to Outer Perdition."

"N-Noted." Robin was going to have to change the lock for his desk. And maybe his room too.

That was so strange. Adam knew all about Beast Boy's background now… yet he wasn't treating him any differently compared to before.

As Raven looked at her dancing, carefree boyfriend again, she couldn't help the smile that came onto her face.

"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift… that describes Garfield perfectly."

And... perhaps that was why Adam was still treating them the same. Because he knew that Garfield's past, just like her own, was only that, the past. It wasn't who they were now, and it wasn't who they'd be in the future.

"What was that Raven?" Robin asked confusedly.

Raven chuckled to herself. "Nothing..." She started to say.

Wham! Bam! Pow! Slam!

The contention on the couch blew up into an all-out fight. Adam, Cyborg, and Beast Boy disappeared into an anime fight cloud. With fists, hair pulling, noogies, and other various things showing all around it.

"I've just realized that Adam might be right about some things. And even if he is wrong and Gar and I end up becoming total opposites in the future…

"I wouldn't want Gar to ever change who he is at heart." Raven finished.

The view moved out of the Tower.

Pow! Wham! Bam! Slam!

The sounds of the cartoon fight on the couch continued to fill the background.

"Fight!" The video game screen yelled.

The view faded to black…

End of Season Six, Episode Twelve: Opposites

Author's Notes:

I think people have already heard this from me before, so I'll save most of the speech. Needless to say, I don't think of Raven and Beast Boy in the 'opposites attract' category like others in the fandom. I think both have their differences and their similarities, just like any other couple. And in the end, I put more importance on work from both individuals than 'relationship compatibility' for things to work.

It doesn't matter how similar or different you might be. A relationship with no communication, no boundaries, no giving, no trust between each other, as well as a host of other problems will die no matter how compatible it appears to be on paper. And if it's led by fear of the unknown… well, you'll never know until you actually take that first step together.

That's what I've seen from others at the very least. Man, I can't believe I did all my editing for this Episode on Single's Awareness Day. This sucks. Why did I have to be cursed with the plague of writing?

Till Next Time
