The view showed the roof of Titan's North Tower.
Crash!
The door came crashing down, and Robin and the other Titans appeared. They ran/flew out onto the rooftop, and headed straight for the T-Ship. Cyborg pulled out a set of keys, and pressed down on a button.
Ksssssss!
The T-Ship hummed to life. "I'm so happy I decided to install a quick start option to this baby!" Cyborg yelled as they approached.
Beast Boy jumped right into his pod, with Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire following suit. Robin and Adam were running for their separate pods. Robin at the front, and Adam at the new tail pod.
Wham!
A fist appeared from the side, and Adam barely raised a shield in time to block the strike from Gnnark. "Where do you think you're going punk?" He asked in a rocky sounding voice.
Apparently, this was how Gnnark would sound if he could actually form words.
Slash!
Gnnark's arm was sliced off. He backed away in surprise as his inner circuitry was shown.
"Away from here, in case you were wondering," Adam replied angrily.
Pow!
He then kicked Gnnark off the T-Ship and climbed up to his pod. At the same time, Robin managed to knock off Kole with his Bo-Staff on the other end.
The view showed Robin jumping into his pod and quickly buckling up. All the Titan's cockpit windshields came down. "No time for a checklist! Is everything good for launch?!" Robin called.
"Clear!" All the other Titans shouted in unison.
Robin nodded, and then he pulled down on the throttle. "Then here we go!" He yelled.
Thmmmm!
The engines on the ship sounded loud, and then the T-Ship started to lift up off the roof.
Kckckck!
The ascent was stopped. Beast Boy looked out of his window and saw the one-armed Gnnark holding onto the side of the T-Ship. Raven looked out the other side, and Kole was doing the same thing.
"We seem to have some stragglers who want a ride." Raven quipped.
The bottom of Starfire's pod opened, and she appeared upside down underneath it. Two starbolts appeared on her hands. "Sorry, no more of the room is the available." She said angrily.
Ksch! Ksch!
Her two starbolts slammed into the clones of Kole and Gnnark at the same time. Both of them were thrown back away from the T-Ship. Starfire appeared back in her pod, and the bottom of it closed again.
Without the restraints, the T-Ship quickly took to the air. And flew off away from the destroyed Tower.
"We're home free!" Adam yelled excitedly.
"Heck yeah, we are dude!" Beast Boy yelled next.
Boom! Boom. Boom. Boom!
Explosions of red and silver energy appeared around the T-Ship. The view showed behind as metal clones of Red Star and Argent followed behind in the air.
Argent looked to be in a silver version of a flying turret she made out of her own powers.
"Not yet we aren't," Robin said. "Star and I will steer the T-Ship. Raven, you, Beast Boy, and Adam will blast those fake copies of our friends out of the sky! Cyborg, you make sure that the T-Ship's shields stay running!" Robin ordered.
Raven nodded her head, and she gripped the controls in front of her. "Let's try to not die now." She said plainly.
Beast Boy, Adam's, and Raven's cockpit's rotated around. A laser turret popped out of the back of the tail pod, and two more popped out of the wings on either side of Beast Boy and Raven's cockpits.
Phoom! Phoom! Phoom! Phoom! Phoom!
Boom. Boom! Boom. Boom.
Bright blue energy fired back at the two oncoming metal heroes. Mixing with the red and silver energy heading toward them.
"Hey, look at it this way. At least we know why Titan's North wasn't transponding anymore." Beast Boy yelled.
BOOM!
An explosion rocked the T-Ship. It had been hit on its right wing near him. "EEP!"
"Yo! Less talking and more aiming!" Cyborg yelled as he watched the shield levels on the ship.
Phoom! Phoom! Phoom!
The view showed the figures of Argent and Red Star. The two were maneuvering through the blasts of bright blue energy.
Pow!
A blast went through Argent's turret and slammed her in the chest. A large amount of energy tore a large hole through her metal frame. She fell down out of the air towards the mountains below. Red Star continued on.
"Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about!" Adam cheered.
"Ha, I really hope that doesn't make Hot Spot mad!" Beast Boy said as a joke.
Cyborg looked back ahead through a camera, and then his face blanched. "Man, I really wish you hadn't said that." He muttered.
Whump!
Four silhouettes landed on the T-Ship by Starfire's pod. She looked out of her window curiously at them. "Are they more of our friends?" She asked.
The silhouettes stood up on the hull. Two of them were metal versions of Hot Spot and Argent. The other two looked familiar, but couldn't be identified as they were the shadow of the tail pod.
"But I just shot her down?!" Adam yelled in disbelief.
Hot Spot raised his hands, and fire appeared on them. "Good thing my girlfriend is now a dime a dozen." He said darkly.
Phmmm!
Red hot fire went over Starfire's cockpit. "Eep!" Starfire screamed as her vision around her was cut off.
Argent's silver energy appeared, and she worked at slicing away the hull around the cockpit. With her being up close, the shields didn't stand a chance. The other two worked on getting stable footing on the hull.
"Starfire!" Robin growled in worry. "Beast Boy, blast them off our ship!"
Beast Boy looked to the side and got wide-eyed. "I didn't think there'd be multiple clones we'd have to deal with!" He said angrily.
His laser turret pointed directly at Argent.
Phoom! Phoom!
The first blast hit her on her shoulder, and then the second blast hit her in the head. The rest of her body trailed off her T-Ship.
Hot Spot chuckled as flames continued out of his hands at the windshield in front of him.
The windshield suddenly came out.
Ksch!
A starbolt hit Hot Spot directly in the face. The flames from his hands instantly stopped, and he gripped the scarred metal where he'd been hit.
Phoom!
Another blast from Raven's laser turret slammed into Hot Spot's back. He went flying off the T-Ship down below.
Phoom! Phoom! Phoom!
The view showed Red Star getting hit by three different blue blasts. The first one took away an arm, the second a leg, and then the third separated him in two. He fell down to the ground below.
"Keep it up! I don't see anymore coming on radar or-" Robin was yelling.
Kchchchch!
The two other figures on the ship, however, released ice from their hands into the hole Argent managed to make in the hull. The power cable running along on the inside was almost instantly frozen over, and after a second, it turned off altogether.
The T-Ship stopped flying straight and started to teeter in the air. "I've lost power to the stabilizers!" Robin yelled.
The view showed three more figures appearing from the clouds. They simultaneously fired red, silver, and blue energy at the crippled T-Ship.
Boom!
The back of the T-Ship got hit by the large energy blast. The ship then tipped over and started falling through the air.
"Cyborg, push power to the engines!" Robin frantically screamed.
"I can't, they just got blown up!" Cyborg said fearfully.
The two metal figures jumped off the T-Ship. Adam saw them as they flew by his pod, and his eyes widened drastically.
"No way..." He saw as they were caught by Red Star and carried away.
The T-Ship continued going down, with a smoke trail right behind it. "I, can't, control it!" Robin yelled as he strained at the joystick.
Boom.
The joystick blew up in his grip. The T-Ship now started to corkscrew as the ground came closer and closer.
"Aughhhhhh! I don't want to die like thisssssss!" Beast Boy screamed over the comms.
"Me neither man!" Cyborg yelled next.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Adam screamed as he gripped the sides of his seat.
The tops of the trees were close.
"Brace for impact!" Robin ordered.
The view faded to black…
The view showed the smoking fiery remains of the T-Ship. Pieces of it were scattered on the forest floor all around…
"Mmrrr..."
A Substance appeared from behind one such piece.
"Mmrrr..." It screeched towards the larger piece.
Another Substance appeared from the larger chunk of the T-Ship. The cockpits were wide open on it, and there was no trace of the occupants. Not even a footstep in the ground around the remains.
One of them held up a device in its hand and activated it. A hologram of Herald appeared on it. "What is it? Did you manage to track down the Titans?" The clone of Herald asked.
"Mm… We're afraid that there is no trace of them, sir. All that remains of them is their ship." The Substance started to screech at first, and then its translator kicked in at last. It spoke in a robotic English voice.
"Fine... we've got what we needed from this Tower anyways. Gather the others and tell them to return to base. It's about time we kick into Phase Two." Herald ordered.
"Mm… Yes sir." The Substance replied. The hologram turned off.
"Mmrrr!" The Substance screeched at the others.
The other Substances nodded their heads and then sank into the ground. The lead Substance disappeared with them…
The view showed Titan's Tower in the middle of the bay. It looked like a bright, clear day for Jump City…
The view showed the Common Room.
Phmmm.
A large black portal appeared in the middle of the room.
Whump. Whump. Whump. Whump. Whump! "OW!"
The Titans all fell out of the portal. With Cyborg landing on top of Adam.
"Oops, sorry man!" Cyborg said apologetically as he got up off of Adam.
"I'd like to see you say that after 800 pounds fell on you," Adam grumbled to himself.
The dark portal slowly closed as the others got up. And then, at last, Raven appeared. The portal closed fully after her appearance.
"Ugh." Raven groaned as she started to fall.
"Whoa, Rae." Beast Boy appeared under her shoulder just in time.
Raven leaned on him to stay upright. "I'm okay Garfield. I'm just feeling a little weak." Raven said in her plain voice.
Beast Boy shrugged. "You just transported all of us across a continent dude. Let me return the favor by helping you out."
Raven shrugged her shoulders, and rolled her eyes. "I'd love to see you try and pay that favor back." She said sarcastically. Though she didn't fight back.
The view showed Cyborg falling to his knees. He had tears falling down his face. "And I just got the sonic turbo lasers on that baby upgraded!" Cyborg said in a grief-filled voice.
An anime bubble appeared over his head. It was a stick figure of Cyborg. It was crying next to a gravestone. T-Ship was written in bold letters on the stone.
The view showed Cyborg back down below again. Starfire approached and patted his back. "There there friend, it is the okay. We are all the safe now, and that is what matters." Starfire said comfortingly.
Robin nodded his head. "Yeah, Cy. If you hadn't upgraded those lasers in the first place, our weapons probably wouldn't have destroyed those metal clones." Robin said to him.
"I know Rob… but the pain is still there!" Cyborg said loudly in his pain. Starfire continued to pat his shoulder.
The view showed Adam dust off one of his shoulders. "Were those just clones of Titan's North that attacked us, Robin? Because I thought Hot Spot was in Titan's South?"
Robin frowned at that and put his hand to his chin in thought. "You're right, Hot Spot is part of Titan's South..."
"And… I'm pretty certain that was Mr. Freeze and another member of the ice family that froze the aft of the T-Ship." Beast Boy spoke up.
Robin looked at Cyborg again. "Cyborg, I need you to get in contact with the other Titans. We need to figure out what is going on." Robin ordered. "And Starfire, check with the prison. I want to make sure no other villains have gone missing."
Cyborg sniffled once more. "Okay Rob, I'll get on it." He said sadly before he wandered over to the control console.
"I shall do it as quickly as the possible." Starfire raced out of an open tower window.
"And don't tell them all of what happened! Just tell the other Titans to gather at our Tower for the time being!" Robin added.
"Are you sure that was Mr. Freeze you saw?" Adam asked Beast Boy.
The changeling shrugged. "I didn't get a good look, but whoever it was froze the inside of our ship with ice."
Beast Boy helped the tired Raven to the couch, where she sat down. "I'll get you your tea." He said to her before he ran to the kitchen.
"Make sure you make it right," Raven told him. Then she looked at Robin. "Is gathering all the Titans here really a good idea?" Raven asked.
Robin crossed his arms. "Maybe… we'll just have to wait and see," Robin replied.
The view showed outside. The sun had fallen down into the evening-tinged sky…
The scene changed.
"Don't worry Cy, we'll be on our way pronto," Aqualad said on the screen for the Control Console.
Cyborg nodded his head. "Alright, thanks again, man. We'll be seeing you here with the others tomorrow morning." Cyborg replied.
Aqualad nodded his head. "Are you going to tell me why we're having this emergency gathering by the way?" He asked.
"Let's just say that it's something pretty serious involving all the Titans," Cyborg told him.
"Alright. We'll see you then." The transmission ended.
Cyborg looked up.
"Yo, that's all of them, Rob," Cyborg called over to his leader.
The view showed Robin sitting on a stool at the kitchen island counter. He looked up from the files he had in front of him.
"How many responded?" Robin asked.
"Titan's South and East both responded. South said Hot Spot went missing last week, and East can't find out where Speedy went. Kid Flash and Jinx are okay in Star City. And outside of them, I'm not sure how many of the soloes got our message. They all went to voicemail." Cyborg said as he walked over.
"You made sure to tell them to gather at our Tower, right?" Robin asked.
"Every single one of them," Cyborg said proudly. "South and East will do their best to pick up any stragglers along the way."
Robin nodded his head. "Good. If Titan's North was just taken out, then the threat we're facing is probably bigger than what we could handle alone. We'll need all the Titans together before we come up with a battle plan." Robin replied.
Cyborg still looked uncertain. "I don't know Rob. I'm not sure we entirely understand what we're facing here." He said nervously.
Robin frowned slightly at that. "Maybe, but maybe the others might have info that we don't," Robin said back. "And, after what happened with the Brotherhood of Evil, it'd be better for us to come together than split us apart. I at least learned that much from Beast Boy."
Cyborg shrugged. "Fair..."
"Do you think you could set the Tower to identify if any clones try to sneak past with everyone when they arrive?" Robin asked.
Cyborg shook his head. "I wish. That would make my job a whole lot easier. At best, I can set Herald and the others who we know to be missing as intruders."
"That'll have to do."
Robin looked out across the Common Room. It looked like all the Titans were in pretty low spirits.
Beast Boy and Raven were sitting next to Adam on the couch. Raven was fast asleep on Beast Boy's shoulder. He and Adam looked to be talking quietly to each other.
Outside the window, the sun was starting to set over the bay. Starfire had returned and was standing next to the window, staring at the setting sun.
"You know what, it's been a long day for all of us. How about we call it an evening and rest for the night." Robin said to them all.
Beast Boy and Adam both looked up from the couch. The two of them looked pretty tired too. "Okay, Rob." Beast Boy said.
He got up, and Raven woke up at the movement. She looked tiredly up, as Beast Boy morphed into a lion.
He looked down at her and then bowed to the ground.
Raven rolled her eyes to herself. "Alright, since you're still repaying the favor." She said tiredly.
She got onto the lion's back, and then it walked towards one of the side hallways. She secretly petted the lion's mane in gratitude, before the two disappeared from view.
"Well, I'm tired. So good night." Adam said before he walked down the other side hallway.
YAWN!
Cyborg yawned. "You know, after all this, I could use a good charge up. Good night Rob." He said tiredly before he walked towards the sliding doors.
Thmmm.
The doors slid open, and then Cyborg walked out.
The only figure who didn't move was Starfire. She stood by the window, staring out over the bay.
The view showed Robin's approach. He stood beside Starfire, staring out the window with her.
"Is there something on your chest you want to get off?" Robin asked.
Starfire looked at him with a confused face. "You want to take the something off of my chest?" She asked him innocently.
…
Robin's face turned pale white. "Ummm… it's an Earth saying that means is there something you want to talk about?" Robin quickly clarified.
Great save.
Starfire looked confused for a second more, and then her face changed. "Ohhh..." She then looked downcast. "I guess that I do have the something to get off my chest then." She said in a less joyous voice.
Robin looked normal again, and his face turned to look at hers. "Do you feel guilty that we couldn't help out our friends up North?" He asked.
Starfire turned her face to face him. She had a small smile on her face. "I do believe that you did the nailing of it on the head." She said back.
Robin smiled a little with her. "As the Earthling saying goes,
...
Starfire stayed smiling a second more, and then looked solemn. She looked back out the window. "I just wish that we could have made it there the sooner. Then the maybe… our friends wouldn't have been..."
Robin's hand gripped hers. "Don't worry Star. I'm sure they're still out there somewhere." He said reassuringly to her. "I'm sure we'll be able to find them."
"Are their T-Communicators the active?" Starfire asked.
...
Robin shook his head. "No, but that doesn't mean we won't try anyway. I mean, that didn't stop Beast Boy or the others last time."
…
Robin then frowned. He almost wanted to ask about the prison now, but decided now wasn't the time.
Starfire nodded her head though, and then turned and hugged him close. "Are you sure we'll find them, boyfriend Richard?" She asked.
Robin hugged her back. "Positive." He said.
...
The two held the hug for a few seconds more. And then the two, with arms over each other's shoulders, walked towards the sliding doors.
"And will you give me the kiss of the good night to make me feel the better?" Starfire asked.
Robin chuckled. "It's my favorite part of the day." He responded. "I'll even stay the night to make it that much better if you wish."
Starfire giggled joyously. "Maybe then you can do the taking of the something else off my chest if that were to happen."
...
...
The view showed Robin's face turning a bright red. He opened his mouth, but no speech escaped his lips.
Starfire giggled as she led her stammering boyfriend along behind her.
The view showed the inside of Adam's room. The sun had set outside, and the starry night sky could be seen through his window.
Adam was laying on his bed. Even in the semi-darkness, his eyes were still open. He stared up at the ceiling.
"Why am I being bothered by what happened so much," Adam said to himself. "It wasn't like there was anything more we could do."
"Those were clones of Titan's North, just like those clones we met a while ago here.
...
"But then... why was Hot Spot also there... as well as two clones of that villainous..."
His mind went back to the two figures he'd seen that'd frozen the inside circuitry of the ship. He could have sworn they'd helped to throw her and the rest of her ice family in jail recently...
He sat up, groaning as his thoughts wouldn't leave his mind.
Adam rested his chin in his hands. "We're definitely missing something here… what the hell is going on out in the world?"
...
Adam looked at his nightstand next to him.
The view showed him move to it and open it up. His hand moved around inside for a moment until he pulled out a piece of folded notepaper. He then pulled out his T-Comm and opened it.
He looked like he was about to dial something when his finger stopped.
...
Adam shook his head. "No. Maybe I'm just overthinking this. It could possibly just be some minor villain wanting attention like Control Freak." Adam said to convince himself.
…
Boop! Beep! Boop!
Adam dialed the number. Then he put the T-Comm up to his face as it rang.
...
After a moment, it stopped ringing.
"Hey there, kid. I figured you'd be calling me about now." A familiar voice said.
"Do you know what's going on?" Adam asked.
"Depends. I'm on a busy schedule, so you better speak briefly if you want me to feel like chatting."
Adam grimaced but set his face. "Fine." He took a deep breath.
The scene faded to black…
