Callie was over in a corner, sipping on her drink and trying her best to pay attention to some of the men talking around her. Mostly they were talking about business. Callie knew that's why she threw these parties, but tonight, she really didn't feel like it. Earlier, Alex had come to tell her that Arizona was here, but as Callie scanned the room, she didn't see her. She wanted to know what Arizona looked like in her dress. Callie had dreamt about it. Ugh, she needed to get this shit together.

"Oh, shit," Mark whispered. Callie looked at him, and followed his eye line. Fuck. Penny was walking toward them as if she were a model on a catwalk. Her long red hair bounced as she made a straight line for Callie.

"Hi Callie," she said, faking a smile as she reached their group.

"Penny," Callie said, trying her best to be cordial to her ex-girlfriend. But she didn't trust Penny's smile. She wasn't happy unless she was being mean.

"Funny, how you forgot to invite your own girlfriend to your party," Penny said, staring at her.

"I didn't forget," Callie said, as she took another sip of her whiskey. "…and you are not my girlfriend." The comment didn't go well over Penny's head. She narrowed her eyes at Callie.

"Hey Mark, how are you?" Penny asked, turning to rest her arm around his neck, as she scanned the ballroom.

Mark didn't like Penny. She has always been manipulative, insulting and intrusive.

"Well, I'm-," Mark started, before she interrupted him.

"Who's that?" Penny asked, while staring toward the food table.

They all turned to see who she was talking about, but no one said anything.

"Well, who did she come with?" Penny asked, turning back around to face them.

"She came with me," Mark and Alex blurted out at the same time. Shit.

Mark didn't wanted Penny to create any scene and while it would have been super easy for Callie to put Penny in her place, any melodrama in a party like this could mean bad business.

Penny looked from Mark to Alex, before her cold eyes settled on Callie. Callie was the only one who hadn't claimed that woman in red, yet Callie was still staring over toward her. When Callie finally turned to look at Penny, Penny gave her a smug smile before she flicked her hair and walked away.

Arizona walked out onto the patio and stared out into the back yard. It was such a beautiful night, and the lights that lit up the landscape were breathtaking. She would rather stay out here than go back into the stuffy party. She couldn't have felt more out of place. As soon as Carina excused herself to get back to work, Arizona missed her easy presence and joyful aura.

"Lovely night," Arizona heard a voice say behind her, interrupting her thoughts. She quickly turned and saw a handsome man with neatly swept away black colored hair walking toward her. He stopped and leaned against the patio rails.

"Yes, it is," Arizona answered back, staring up at the sky.

"I'm Derek Shepherd," the man said, while offering his hand.

"Arizona," she said, staring into the man's kind eyes. He lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it.

"Pleasure to meet you." Derek added as he let go of Arizona's hand

Arizona tried to hide a smile. No one had ever done that to her before. She was so unaware of these high-society culture and etiquettes. She looked at Derek, he was so immaculately dressed that Arizona was wondering if he came out from a photo shoot. He was holding a sea-food appetizer platter in his hands and was holding an oyster rather questioningly.

"You know that's neither the correct way to hold it, nor the way to eat it", Arizona chuckled

"Oh yeah? Why don't you show me how to do it right then?", Derek handed over the oyster to Arizona and watched as Arizona meticulously uncovered the succulent meaty portion.

"I used to run a sea-food restaurant for years", Arizona explained as she handed the meat back to Derek

"Really? Tell me more" Derek said as they both leaned on the railings and got started on a hearty conversation.

"You know I always wanted to open a sea-food restaurant…and the way you just explained everything so perfectly, tells me that you have hands-on experience in running something like that….so if you ever feel like that's something you can partner on with me, do tell" Derek said as he shoved his hands in his suit jacket and looked at Arizona. The way Arizona had just explained every aspect of running a sea-food restaurant to him, has piqued his interest in a potential business relationship.

Arizona's eyes gleamed as she took in Derek Shepherd's offer. She barely knew the guy and if his last name is anything to go by, he's probably related to Amelia Shepherd….Callie's rivals.

"I'm sorry . That's a generous offer and maybe someday I'll be ready for it, but not today.." Arizona added

Derek nodded. He had really liked Arizona's spark and enthusiasm

"Speaking of business, are you here for business or pleasure?" He asked

"Business, I think.", Arizona answered timidly

"Can I ask what business?" Derek inquired. But when Arizona looked away, he added, "Forgive me, I didn't mean to pry."

"No, it's not that. It's just that it's embarrassing," she admitted.

"Then say no more."

Arizona smiled up at Derek. He had very gentle eyes. Such a contrast to Callie's cold stare.

"I married my wife on a night like this. In fact, I met her because of a business arrangement probably like yours…" Derek added while he looked at Arizona's flustered form. He has been in this business for years now, he knew what kind of business arrangement Arizona might have with the Torres family. That's why she looked so out of place and why he approached her in the first place. She reminded him of Meredith.

"I know, I'm Catholic, I'm supposed to be traditional...but she wanted a night wedding, and she seemed to be the only person who always got what she wanted from me," Derek added with a light chuckle. Then he sighed. Arizona could tell he was thinking about her.

"Wow. I never really thought about a night wedding, but that actually sounds really romantic. Your wife is a lucky woman, considering you caved," Arizona said, smiling at him.

"Nah, I was the lucky one," Derek said. "She actually passed away last year."

Arizona's heart went out to him. She didn't even know him, but in their brief conversation, she could tell that he loved and missed his wife. Just the way he spoke of her. The look in his eyes. God, would anyone ever feel that way about her?

"I'm sorry," Arizona whispered.

"Thank you. I do miss her, but I have my wonderful son, a sweet little sister and my work to keep me plenty busy," Derek stated, with a hint of sarcasm. "Speaking of my sister, here she comes now."

Arizona turned toward the patio doors just as Amelia was walking out. She had to quickly hide her look of disgust. How the hell was this nice man related to this bitch?

"Hey Derek. Well, well...hey Arizona. How ya been?" Amelia said, smirking at her, before lowering her gaze to Arizona's cleavage.

"Oh, I didn't know you two knew each other," Derek said, staring at his sister sceptically.

"Oh yeah, Arizona and I go way back. Actually, she owes me a McLaren Roadster," Amelia said with a wink.

This woman would be so slimy to bring this up in front of her brother. God, Arizona wanted to kick Amelia! Just when she was finally feeling good about herself, one sentence from this woman tore her down and made her feel cheap all over again. What would Derek think of her if Amelia told Derek about Callie & her 'little arrangement'.

"I don't owe you anything, Ms. Shepherd. Perhaps you shouldn't make bets with someone you know will beat you every time," Arizona said.

Arizona watched as Amelia's face and her smile dropped. She figured that losing to Callie was something that happened more than Amelia would like to admit. Then just as soon as it had disappeared, Amelia gave her an evil grin.

"Careful Arizona. You are getting a little high and mighty there..." then Amelia leaned closer to Arizona's ear and whispered, "for someone who lies on her back constantly."

If Derek Shepherd hadn't been standing there, Arizona would have smacked the shit out of Amelia. Right then and there. Amelia didn't know anything about her! None of these people did. They could assume all they wanted, but she was a hard working, good person. She had never dreamt of doing anything remotely close to what she had done for the past few days. They were judging her on less than two weeks time, instead of the past twenty-three years.

Amelia leaned up and smiled, now that she had gotten the best of Arizona. "Well Derek, I think we're needed inside for some quick business. Have a good night, Arizona," Amelia said, and turned to walk back inside.

"So nice meeting you, Arizona...?" Derek said.

"Robbins. Arizona Robbins. Nice meeting you too."

"Ms. Robbins. Thank you for giving me the joy of flirting with the prettiest young woman in the room…..it reminded me of all the good years I had spent with Meredith" He smiled and followed his sister.

Well, perhaps the dress was a hit tonight, Arizona thought. She watched Derek walk away, right as the thin redhead that Carina had pointed out earlier sauntered toward her in her beautiful dark blue dress. No doubt Versace or something like that.

But before the redhead could reach her, Alex stepped in between them, smiling a full-blown smile. This was the first time Arizona has seen this guy smiling. Alex extended his hand asked, "Ms. Robbins, would you do me the honour of having a dance with you?"

Arizona was taken aback, but she couldn't help the smile that graced her lips, "On one condition"

"And that would be..?

"Call me Arizona!"

Alex grinned and swept Arizona away to the huge dance floor, before Penny could reach them. As he held Arizona close and swayed to the slow beats of ballroom music, he looked over Arizona's shoulder and nodded at Callie at the other end of the room.

Crisis averted.

Arizona leaned her head to Alex's shoulder and relaxed. He reminded her so much of her brother Tim.

The dance area got darker, and got illuminated by only starlights as more couples filled the area and the waltz started. Arizona looked around - the men around her looked rather sharp and the women quite lovely in their dresses and gowns. The crafty banquet room itself was extremely ornate, with large crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings. The whole effect was quite spectacular and rather breathtaking. Arizona felt a bit out of place, she didn't know shit about ballroom dancing but was glad Alex knew what he was doing.

After some time, Arizona felt the vivid sensation of someone staring at her. She began to let her eyes wander around…knowing very well she wanted to see Callie now.

And then she saw her.

Leaning against the bar, taking big gulps of her whiskey, dressed in her signature black Armani suit, was Callie, staring right back at her. Arizona found it odd that Callie has not approached her even once tonight…what was Arizona doing here anyways?

So she looked away and brought her attention back to Alex, who held her protectively. Arizona glanced towards the bar again and Callie was gone. As Arizona willed herself to relax, she felt someone standing right behind her. She would know that intoxicating smell anywhere.

As soon Callie stepped behind Arizona, Alex nodded and stepped back and mingled in the crowd.

Before Arizona could turn and look, Callie whispered into her ear "I have been watching you all night, and I must say this dress looks beautiful on you."

Arizona felt herself flush and begin to open her mouth to say something back to Callie, but Callie interrupted her, and firmly said, "No. Stay quiet. There's no need to draw any attention."

Slightly annoyed, Arizona begin to turn around when she felt Callie's hands on her waist, stopping her. Arizona's hands instinctively fly to Callie's to remove them. But Callie held her firmly and whispered sternly again, "Don't. I do not want you to turn around yet."

Arizona wanted to protest, but something in her said it would be better if she didn't.

Arizona could feel Callie breathing down her neck, her hands moving more towards Arizona's front but resting on the curvature of her hips instead.

"I have been watching you. Watching the way your hips sway. Watching you twiddle your hair nervously and bite your full lips, much like you are doing now. I can't help but stare at your breasts, so big and beautiful. I feel your hips right now. I love that I'm holding them."

Callie said as she pulled Arizona much closer to her.

Arizona's mind was racing with thoughts. She has never heard Callie talk so seductively. Callie has always been a woman of few words to her. Yet, Arizona is under Callie's spell of silence right now, yearning to hear more.

Callie let out a low, growling moan that sounded so primal it nearly brought Arizona tumbling to her knees. And then she said,

"I want you tonight, and I will have you."

Arizona flinched

Quickly, Callie added, "I know you want me too. I can tell. You're breathing harder. I can smell the sweetness on your skin yearning for me."

With this Callie spined Arizona around and sweeped her a bit off her feat and moved around the dance floor in a perfect waltz motion. As they moved on the wooden floor, their hips pulsed and swayed in erotic movements in time to the music. Their movements formed a rhythm that often seemed to lock them together as one. Time stood still as they continued to waltz around the room, the spotlight moved with them and everyone stood in awe of the perfect pairing.

Everyone. Including Penny.

As the dance came to an end, Callie bent Arizona and pushed her own face down at Arizona's cleavage in what looked like a perfect way to close the dance. No one but only Arizona felt, Callie darting her tongue out and taking a long swipe at the sweat accumulated in between the valley of Arizona's breasts.

"Hi, I don't believe we've met. I'm Penelope Blake," Penny said, as she approached Arizona again and stared down at her. She smiled, but it never reached her eyes.

"Hi. I'm Arizona. Nice to meet you! Are you also one of Callie's business partners?" Arizona took in the woman's features. Something about this woman was unsettling.

Penny threw her head back and laughed. Arizona didn't know what she had said that was so funny, but she smiled out of lack of anything else to do.

"You're so cute. But no, I'm her girlfriend," she said, smile completely gone. It was replaced by an evil look, as she placed her slender, perfectly manicured hand on her hip.

Arizona was stunned, and she was sure the expression she had on her face was priceless. She quickly closed her mouth. Callie's girlfriend?! Callie has a partner!? And still Callie was doing whatever she was doing with her! Arizona suddenly felt sick to her stomach. Then she quickly put two and two together...and she remembered what Amelia had said a few days ago. 'Whoa! That's definitely not Penny.'. How much of a fool had she probably looked to all of those people in the room that day? Ugh, she hated Callie right then even more.

"So...how is it you know my girlfriend?" Penny asked, boring her gaze into Arizona.

"I don't really," Arizona quickly recovered. She wasn't about to let this woman intimidate her. If Penny and Callie were having relationship problems, she needed to take it up with Callie. Not her.

"Then why are you here?"

"I was invited."

"By whom?"

Arizona wanted to say none of her business, but that would be too much of a giveaway. So instead, she thought of another name. "Carina. She's the woman serving the appetizers. Over there," Arizona said, pointing to the table. But Penny never took her cold eyes off of her. Instead they slid down to Arizona's chest.

Penny gave her another once over. "That's a beautiful dress. Where did you get it?"

"I don't know. It's not mine."

Penny gave an evil grin. "It looks like this dress that I saw at one of my favorite stores. This French boutique that's to die for. All of their designer clothes are imported from Paris. It's a tad expensive...but that's also why I like it. What are the odds that you would have a dress from my favorite store? The only store on the entire east coast," Penny said, scanning over Arizona's body. Letting her words sink in.

Arizona shrugged feeling more and more uncomfortable by the moment. No more words were needed for either woman to know exactly who the other was to Callie. Arizona NEVER wanted to be that woman. The woman who sleeps with women in relationship. She felt so humiliated. Every mistress's worst nightmare, meeting the girlfriend.

Mistress. Is that what she was?

"Come, you must meet Callie...since this is her house and all. Would be rude not to thank the host."

Penny grabbed Arizona's hand and practically drug her over to Callie's group before she could even protest.

"Hey darling, look who I found. This is Arizona. I don't believe you two have met." All eyes around the group went back and forth from Penny to Arizona. "Funny though, you guys said she came with you...yet she said her date was Carina...or Camica, something like that. The sexy waitress over there," Penny pointed out.

Callie couldn't help but look over toward Carina. She felt an instant pang of jealousy that Arizona would claim that waitress as her date. In truth, Callie didn't really know Carina, but she better not dare touch Arizona. Callie wasn't sure why she was thinking so possessively of Arizona, but fuck it, Arizona was with her—end of story.

"How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?" Penny said, dragging everyone's attention back to Arizona.

Arizona exhaled. "Twenty-three."

"Oh, I was twenty-three when I met my girlfriend Callie here. Innocent, sweet twenty-three year old, until she corrupted me with her lifestyle," Penny said, giving Callie a glance over

"Penny, you were anything but innocent…" Callie said, taking another sip from her drink and taking a step back from Penny's leaning frame.

Penny laughed loudly. "So true."

Arizona felt extremely uncomfortable. She didn't belong in this equation.

"Oh, and by the way sweety...next time you go to a party like this, don't stand by yourself for too long. People will think you came by yourself, and the only women dressed like you who show up by themselves are call girls." Penny added as she tried to stand beside Callie again but Callie took a sideway step and stood near Mark instead.

"Penny, watch your mouth…one more word and I'll throw you out of this party myself…" Callie warned, slicing into Penny with her cold, hard stare.

Penny faked being hurt. "I'm sorry, Callie. I'm just trying to help Arizona out. I mean, we wouldn't want someone thinking she was nothing more than a whore, would we? Excuse me, I see my dear friend Sarah," Penny said as she stalked off, leaving a pissed off and hurt Arizona in her wake. There were now officially two people at this party that Arizona wanted to bitch slap.

Make that three, including Callie.

Arizona crossed her arms over her chest, blocking off part of her plunging neckline. Maybe Penny was right...at least about the call girl part. Maybe she did look like a tramp compared to the rest of the women. She turned her head to the side, and stared over at Carina. She wanted to look anywhere but at Callie. She wanted to go back to the loft and take a shower, and forget this whole night. Carina was right...she didn't belong with this group.

She quickly wiped a tear before it fell.

"You look beautiful, Arizona," Mark said to her. Then he looked at Callie. "Okay if I take her for a twirl before my wife shows up?" Callie nodded and grabbed another drink from a tray passing by. She knew Penny was trouble the moment she walked in.

Arizona was thankful for the distraction. She followed as Mark led her to the floor. He gently grabbed her around her waist. "Hey Robbins, don't worry. That Penny has claws, and she enjoys shredding anything in her path. You held up pretty good."

Few moments of silence passed as Mark & Arizona swayed to the soft beats of music.

"Has Callie ever done this before, Mark?" Arizona whispered to him, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Was this some sick, twisted power trip?

"No, never. I mean, Callie never had to. You should see the girls pulling each other's hair out to get into her clubs, her restaurants, her house...her bed. Let's just say there is a lot. So, this was all a shock to me. I didn't expect Callie to be really serious about it. You know, adding days and stuff," Mark answered, and then he brought her close to his body, and added "We are not bad people Arizona…Callie and I…we use some tactics to scare people…we have to do it to survive and rule this business area but that's about it…"

Arizona hummed in response.

"Shit, I'm drunk. I've said way too much. Please don't tell anything to Callie." Mark added nervously as he twirled Arizona on the dance floor.

Arizona laughed and then sighed. She wasn't sure what to make of that. After a few minutes, Alex came back again, cutting in to have a dance. Arizona could tell that both these men were trying to protect her so Penny couldn't approach her again. Arizona glanced over at Callie. Callie was staring at her. She quickly looked away. After a few more dances with some strangers, she walked back over to Carina.

"You're a big hit tonight. I see all the girls are hatin' on you," Carina joked, as she served another guest.

"Please...these women have everything. I'm...well, let's just say they shouldn't envy me in the least." Arizona added as she took a flute from the counter and downed it.

"I still can't figure out why you are here," Carina said, staring at her.

"Long story," Arizona said, while popping another appetizer in her mouth.

Carina stared down at her watch. "Hey Andrew," she yelled over at another waiter. "Can you finish this up for me. I gotta take off. Gonna be late." Andrew nodded and Carina looked at Arizona.

"You wanna go to a real party?" Carina asked, with a devilish smile.

At that moment, Arizona didn't really care where she went. She just wanted to get away from this hell hole.

"Absolutely."

In Carina's beat up Ford Mustang, Arizona felt at ease. She had only just met this girl, and already she was driving off with her to god knows where. Her normal self...the Arizona from several days ago, would have said no. But she felt like being a little dangerous. Being around dangerous people had its effects, it seems.

"Mind if I smoke?" Carina asked. Arizona shook her head. Carina lit a cigarette and placed it between her lips and looked over at Arizona. "You really do look beautiful in that dress. I mean, I don't know what you normally look like, but you are so, so, so hot."

Arizona choked out a laugh. "Um, I think that's a compliment...if you're not disappointed with my 'normal' look."

"So, you gonna tell me what you were doing there?"

"You first. Is this what you want to do, catering and stuff like that?" Arizona asked. She had wanted to open up a catering business associated with her restaurant...but her father shot that idea all to hell, while he made her work endless hours in a dying restaurant. Branching out would have helped.

Carina blew the smoke out of the cracked window. "Nah. I was just doing this as a part-time job. I work for Ms. Torres. The way she runs her, um...well, her chain of restaurants and clubs is fascinating to me….I want to open an Italian restaurant of my own someday. The waitress thing was just something I was asked to do if I wanted to make a little extra. I said, what the hell...I have bills. Might as well, right? Plus, I was hoping to be introduced to Ms. Torres personally tonight. I mean, I've met her once before only briefly. Man, that woman is intense. I would never want to cross her."

Arizona listened to Carina talk about Callie like she was a God.

So it wasn't just Arizona that Callie had this effect on. It was everyone. "So, you want to dabble in bad-blood too?" Arizona spat out, while staring out of her window.

Carina coughed. "Um, well, you shouldn't say things like that," she said, looking uncomfortable.

"Carina, I think everyone knows what she does. She didn't get all that money in stocks and stuff, you know."

"Well, I mean, I won't go that far, I just want to open one restaurant . owns a ton, and she never gets personally involved in any illegal stuff ya know?. I mean, She's in her thirties, and owns so much shit. Everyone respects her...for what she has achieved single-handedly." Carina swiveled the truck around to a highly crowded neighbourhood and navigated further.

Arizona shook her head.

"So, don't avoid the question, what were you doing there?" Carina asked.

Arizona really didn't want to admit it, but part of her wanted to get it off her chest. To let someone know what kind of person Callie really was. To have at least someone ensure her that none of this was her fault. She was being manipulated by an evil woman, which is something she tried to assure herself every day. But as the days passed, it became harder and harder to use that excuse. There were no bars in Callie's loft. Arizona was staying there of free will. Hell, just be honest.

"My dad owes Callie money, so to avoid her hurting my family, I'm sleeping with her," Arizona blurted out, and then turned to see Carina's reaction.

Carina's brow furrowed. "So wait...you're with Callie?" Arizona shrugged and stared back out of the window. But she felt the truck slowing down to a stop.

Arizona turned to look at Carina. "What's wrong? Why did you stop?"

"Um, Arizona, I need to take you back. Shit, I didn't know you were Callie's girl.!" Carina said, staring into her rearview mirror and then turning around in her seat, looking through the back window.

"I'm not Callie's girl," Arizona said, slightly raising her voice. She didn't belong to Callie. Callie had a girlfriend that fit in just fine at that party. As far as Arizona was concerned, Callie and Penny were perfect for each other. Selfish, manipulative, evil women.

Carina sighed as she turned off the engine. "Arizona, Callie's my boss. And I've heard stories, you know. People sometimes go missing that cross her. Let me take you back."

There was no way in hell Arizona was going back to that party. She wasn't a masochist. She didn't enjoy pain and humiliation and if she went back, that's what it would be like. "No, just drop me off down the street. I'll take a bus back to her loft. I'm not going back over to her house," Arizona said, grabbing her purse.

"No, wait. I don't want you to do that either….Okay, okay, I'll take you to my place. Fuck, see how much trouble a pretty face can get you into," Carina said, grinning at her.

Arizona smiled back. "Thank you."

Carina pulled the Mustang back out onto the road and tossed her cigarette out of the window. Arizona didn't want to get her in trouble, but she doubted that Callie even cared. Callie had a house full of guests and she hadn't even really paid attention to her the entire night. Maybe that was a good thing. Callie probably didn't even know she had left. She wondered what Carina thought about her relationship with Callie.

"Hey, do you think I'm a shitty person now because of what I'm doing with Callie?" Arizona asked.

Carina shook her head. "Nah, not at all. Hey, do what you have to do, you know? Doesn't make you a bad person." Then she clicked on the radio and sang loudly until they reached a small house, with several people gathered out.

Arizona looked at what looked like a rooftop but it was at road level. She assumed that it was above a basement setup or something.

"Welcome to la casa di amore," Carina said, while grabbing her hand and leading her inside.

"I have no idea what that means," Arizona laughed over the loud music.

"Hopefully you will soon," Carina whispered in her ear, giving her another devilish grin. "I have a 2 bedroom apartment downstairs and this area is where we all hang out to party, everyone is allowed here"

Carina swiftly led Arizona downstairs. If the rooftop was crowded, the apartment was packed to brim.

Inside the tiny living room, the music was bumping and everyone was drinking, laughing and dancing. A short dark-haired woman ran up to them and handed them drinks. "Arizona, this is my roommate, Jo Wilson. Jo, meet the lovely Arizona," Carina said, taking a large swig out of the red plastic cup.

"Hi Arizona. You're a little dressed up for this party, but never mind. Food's on the counter, booze is everywhere…please help yourself to whatever you like," Jo said as she walked away

"Um, thanks. Nice to meet you." Arizona added but Jo was already gone

"Don't worry, you'll get used to her behaviour," Carina said, as she guided Arizona further into the small, cramped house. They immediately joined in with everyone else and started dancing. It was sweltering in Carina's place.

Arizona's hair had fallen out of the pins and she was sure her make-up had sweated off by now, but she didn't care. Arizona hadn't had this much fun in...well, ever. She rarely did things like this. She was always working so hard in school and in her father's restaurant. She never went out.

Then suddenly a hit tune, 'Dance Monkey'' came blasting through the speakers, and the entire crowd began jumping up and down. Arizona threw her head back and laughed at Carina's old school dances. Carina was showing Arizona all of the moves and she was cracking up. Carina was just so silly and joyful that Arizona couldn't help herself but feel light. What a night! It was at this moment that Arizona realised that how much she missed attending college. Even in her college years, she never felt this free as she always had to work triple shifts.

As a romantic number started playing, Carina moved closer to her, and the two started dancing more intimately, even though they were out of sync with the music. Arizona locked her hands around Carina's neck as Carina's hand moved to Arizona's waist and pulled her closer.

A single night and Arizona had already enjoyed more number of dances than she had in her entire lifetime.

Arizona noticed Carina lean down like she was about to whisper something in her ear, before her eyes were diverted in the direction behind Arizona. Carina immediately stood at full attention and her eyes widened. Arizona was just about to ask what happened, when she heard the music stop. She turned and her mouth dropped.

Standing by the door were Callie, Alex and Mark. Everyone in the house stood frozen, all eyes on the three powerful looking people who had just entered.

Callie was staring at her, her cold brown eyes freezing her, causing Arizona to shiver. Callie then started walking towards her.

Arizona stared at Callie with wide eyes. She didn't know what to expect. Callie walked up to her and grabbed her wrist. Arizona saw her lean toward Carina and whisper something into her ear. And Arizona couldn't be sure, but she swore she felt Carina shiver beside her.

Callie turned and walked toward the door, Arizona following closely behind her with Callie's hand gripping her wrist tightly. With everything so quiet, her heels clicking against the floor was the only noise in the house. Arizona didn't ask any questions. She knew Callie was mad, even though she seemed calm. Gave new meaning to 'the calm before the storm'.

"You all have a good night," Mark smiled his trademark grin, as he turned and walked out, followed by Callie and her, and then Alex.

When they made it outside, the cool air hit the sweat on Arizona's body and she shivered again. Callie opened the backseat car door for her, and Arizona got in. She walked over to the other side and got in beside Arizona. Alex got behind the wheel and they took off. Mark followed behind in another car.

Arizona was scared to look over at Callie. Arizona knew she was seething.

"Callie, I-," Arizona started.

"Keep your mouth shut until we reach the loft," Callie snapped, turning to glare at her.

Callie rarely got pissed to where she couldn't think straight, but this girl...she was causing that to happen to her a lot. She had wanted to talk to Arizona during the party, but Arizona was gone. And not just left, but left with another woman! Oh, she almost kicked everyone and called off the party right then. She was so pissed. Tonight she was going to make sure Arizona got their arrangement through her pretty little stubborn head.

Arizona thought it was best to keep her mouth shut like Callie sked. She sighed and stared out of the window. Another fucking week added. She already knew it.

When they arrived at the loft, Callie greeted Webber as usual as they entered the elevator. Callie still hadn't said a word to her. Arizona followed her into her place and closed the door. She watched as Callie started removing her jacket and tie. Her eyes were burning a hole through Arizona's. So she quickly looked down.

Callie went to the en-suite bar and poured herself a glass of whiskey, she drank 4 full gulps and then sighed and turned towards Arizona

"This isn't working. I don't do business like this. You're free to go. I'll contact your father in a few days. I realize he's sick and I will take that into consideration," Callie stated, as she stared down at Arizona.

Arizona was shocked. What? She didn't know what to say. Callie was...kicking her out? After all of this time.

"So that's it?" she whispered to Callie.

"Yes."

"But, what about all of the days I've spent here with you?" Arizona wasn't sure if she should feel hurt or not. For some reason, she felt a slight sting to her heart. She guessed Callie really didn't care.

"I'll take that into consideration also," Callie said, trying her hardest not to break. But Arizona was unnerving her.

And NO ONE ever got the best of Callie. No one made her look like a fool. There she was having her men search the mansion looking for Arizona. It wasn't until Andrew, another man on her payroll told her Carina and Arizona had left together that she got to know where Arizona was. It took everything in Callie not to smash Carina's face at that sad little house party. And that feeling wasn't nice. Callie had never felt this way. Sure she has got the hot, angry, Latin blood but it never unsettled her. The anger she felt towards Carina was raw and overbearing and Callie Torres won't let anything to hold that kind of power on her.

Not even Arizona Robbins.

Arizona wasn't sure what to do. She could leave but what's the point? She has already compromised her dignity to Callie, what would be her gain if she is still left with bills to pay. This was a closed off deal not some bargain. Callie has hurt her enough, she wasn't about to let her hurt her family as well.

"Well, I'm not leaving," Arizona said, sitting down on the sofa. Fuck, their situation was so strange. Here she was refusing to leave Callie's ouse and their 'arrangement'.

Callie stared down at her. "You can leave, or I can pick you up and put you in the car. Your choice."

"You can try," Arizona said, daring Callie to back her words.

AN 1 - Unexpected right? Callie is giving Arizona a out?

AN 2 - thoughts on this chapter? Some new dynamics with other characters (all who have some crucial part to play in chapters coming ahead) and a handsy Carina. What do you guys think? Do share your thoughts as they help me humanize my characters more. Technically they are Shonda's character, but hey she's busy on Netflix so I'll take all the liberties here.

AN 3 - Oh, I'll stop writing when I want to, not because some of you couldn't connect to the story. If you don't like it. Don't read it. If you have conflicting thoughts, share them with me and I'll explain or have patience, the story will explain itself.

AN 4 - You see how the show ain't killing Meredith. Well there! I killed her. No Meredith in my fic lol.
