They laid there, wrapped around each other, staring at the still fan above them. Her dingy single bed wasn't made for much action and she briefly wondered if that's the reason Callie hasn't touched her yet? She looked up from her place under Callie's arm and found the brunette fast asleep, a content expression adorning that plump lips. Arizona quickly perched up and placed a sweet peck at the corner of Callie's mouth and then nestled deeply into her own personal paradise.
The next morning, Arizona awoke to the sound of her shower squeaking. She rolled over in the tiny bed and realized that Callie obviously wasn't there. She stared up at her ceiling. 'Did I do the right thing,' she thought as she heard Callie walking back towards her room. She guessed that was the good thing about her apartment. If someone tried to break in, she'd hear them easily. From the squeaky doors to the creaking floors, you couldn't hide that you were walking around.
Callie made her way back into the room with her dress pants on, and her clean white shirt unbuttoned showing off her black sports bra and tight abs. Her hair was still wet, as she pushed it back with her fingers.
"Um, you don't have any hot water," Callie said, raising an eyebrow.
Arizona groaned and looked at her alarm clock on the floor. "Oh, I'm sorry. Around this time of day we never have hot water. I have to take a shower either really early in the morning or midday. Any other time there is never hot water. Sorry, I should have warned you."
"No problem. Besides, you were sleeping so soundly, that I didn't want to wake you up. BUT, now that you are up, let's get some breakfast," Callie said, walking over to her and sitting on the bed. She leaned down and kissed Arizona, letting the little droplets of water from her hair fall onto the alabaster skin.
"Ug, you're getting me wet," Arizona laughed, pushing Callie away.
"Hmm, that's not the first time you've said that for me," Callie joked, and then dodged Arizona's playful punch. But just as soon as the spirited banter had started, it stopped. Callie noticed her face change and Arizona looked sad.
"Callie, what are we doing?," Arizona tentatively voiced her question.
Callie slowly ran her finger over Arizona's flat stomach. "Well we are in love. What do people call it these days? The phase before marriage where two people are together?." Arizona's eyes widened and then she smiled, Callie literally has zero idea how love and relationships rolled. Callie didn't even know that she had just shared her future plans out loud…
"Um, dating?"
"Yeah that. We are dating now!" Callie added as she ran the back of her hand through the creamy skin of Arizona's stomach, under the camisole.
"So you are my girlfriend?" Arizona asked
"Yeah.." was Callie's instant response as her face blew open with a mega-watt smile.
Arizona glanced around the fancy café where they were having breakfast. She thought cafés were tiny little places where you could just get a sandwich. Not some place that has table cloths and wine glasses. She looked over at Callie. She was staring down at the menu. God, this woman always looked so damn fine. Callie refused to wear her dirty suit from last night, so they had to stop at a Prada store so she could get a change of clothes. Arizona asked if she could pick out her outfit. At first Callis had refused, but enough pouting and she won out. She was so used to seeing Callie in suits that she decided to get her something a little more dressed down. She chose a nice lightweight gray T-shirt with cool designs on it, and dark blue jeans and a belt. Arizona let Callie pick out a pair of shoes, and of course the woman picked out a Manolo Blahnik. Callie also purchased a pair of sunglasses that she swore had a price tag of five-hundred and fifteen dollars. Five-hundred and fifteen dollars for sunglasses?!
But now they sat in this nice café waiting for their server to arrive. She observed Callie's facial features. Callie's parents must have been pretty damn good looking, because they had one hell of a fine daughter. Her face was perfectly symmetrical. She was tall and her body was ridiculously proportionate and fit. Callie glanced up at her while she was in the middle of her observations.
"Something wrong?" Callie asked.
Arizona shook her head and glanced down at the menu.
Maybe nothing was wrong for her, but Callie definitely wanted to get something off her chest. After the waiter came and she gave them their order, she asked, "So, where do we go from here?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, we just established in the morning that we are a couple now, correct?"
Arizona nodded. Callie narrowed her eyes on her. "You know, that's the second head gesture you've given me. You know I don't like them"
Arizona rolled her eyes and smiled at Callie's pout. This is the first time she has seen the woman in front of her pouting. "Yes, that's correct", she added.
"Thank you. So, now that we are a couple, are you going to move in with me?" Callie asked. Arizona immediately looked down, and Callie knew her answer right then. She took a sip of her coffee and glanced around the café.
"Callie, I—I don't know. I just feel that this is all still so sudden. This is the first time I've been on my own two feet, and I like it. I know it's not as luxurious as living with you, but it's the first thing I can somewhat call my own. Do you know what I mean?" Arizona asked, staring up at Callie hoping that she would understand.
"Yes, I do. I don't like it, but I understand it," Callie answered.
And for a moment Arizona was taken aback. Because she almost thought that Callie would throw a fit or call her apartment a filthy name. But something about Callie was different. And she really liked this different Callie.
Callie watched in utmost horror when Arizona's hand moved and then landed on her cheek to actually pinch it, "Aw. You are so cute Calliope!". She heard the response from the dimple-popping face in front of her and then furiously looked around in embarrassment. No one she knows should witness this moment, she's Callie Torres, people fear her presence for god's sake!
"Arizona…"
Arizona heard Callie whining like a little girl, her face flushing a crimson red and that just made her smile brighter.
After breakfast, the two talked as they walked downtown. The city was slowly getting into the Christmas spirit and as they made their way through a busy street, Arizona kept looking at Callie, because didn't consider Callie to be a….walking person. Callie loves her cars, she's got at least 20 of them and yet here she was walking through the city like a random New Yorker. As people bustled through, Arizona watched in awe as Callie switched sides, carefully turning Arizona towards the less busy, shops side of the street. She was already in love with the ruthless Callie, but this caring and understanding Callie might as well make her give her heart to her for the rest of her life.
They came across a furniture shop and Callie pulled Arizona inside. She was afraid to touch anything, for fear she'd break something that was more expensive than what she made in a year.
Callie pulled her towards the back where the beds were on display.
"Pick one," Callie whispered to her, as she pecked her cheek
"Callie, no! I know mine's not much, but it's fine," Arizona said. She could see the hard line of Callie's jaw set as she quickly exhaled.
Maybe the ruthless Callie is still there. Maybe it will always be there. She looked up at Callie as Callie pulled her aside and held her gaze.
"Arizona, I know you realize I have a lot of money. But this isn't about that. If you won't move in with me, then at least let me keep my sanity by at least allowing me to buy you a better bed. I want to come home to you Arizona and I want to wake up with you in my arms. This will make it possible."
"Is this why you didn't touch me last night? Because my bed was crappy?" Arizona rolled her eyes at her own silly question.
Callie's eyes widened because she wasn't expecting…this. She moved closer and cupped the pale cheeks in front of her.
"No Arizona. That's not why I didn't make love to you last night….." Callie emphasised on the 'make love' part because they were in each other's embrace the whole night and that's definitely touching.
"…I hadn't slept in days prior to coming to you. When I confessed my feelings for you, for the first time in months I felt light in months. So the moment you curled up beside me, I was out like a light…" Callie said as she bent down to peck the pink lips in front of her.
And again, Arizona felt taken aback. Callie went from a woman who barely spoke to someone who's baring it all and that too with utmost sincerity. She returned Callie's kiss with equal reverence.
Arizona still wasn't used to this concept of money being spent on her. She knew she should try to be appreciative for the opportunity, but it still felt wrong to her. Her father hardly ever spent a dime on her, and perhaps that's what was holding her back. But, from the look on Callie's face, she wasn't going to argue back. "Alright, alright Callie," Arizona said, finally giving in, letting out a loud exaggerated sigh. Callie smiled down at Arizona as she stood on her toes and kissed her again.
Maybe this relationship could really work.
Over the next few weeks, Callie and Arizona fell into somewhat of a normal routine that normal couples did. But Callie's purchases didn't stop at the bed. Callie insisted on buying her a car. Arizona didn't want something too flashy and pricey, so she settled on a regular two door, black Jetta. Of course it was the latest model, but she figured she could handle that with her current pay cheque—now that she was drawing a full cheque, as Callie told her she had paid Derek back and this time Derek couldn't refuse. She couldn't stop Callie from paying the down payment for the car, though not having to ride public transportation anymore wasn't something she'd miss.
Callie was also adamant about her having a smartphone. Arizona had never really wanted one, because she felt they were a hassle and an unnecessary bill, but Callie got her one anyway. Arizona asked to pay for the bill, but Callie just looked at her like she was crazy. But thinking about bills, Arizona thought about her parents and their bills. She tried to not let it bother her, but it did. She wondered if Mr. Stark had finally kicked them out or if Callie's visit months ago had scared him into giving her folks a little extra time on paying the rent each month.
Arizona's own restaurant was in the early stages of popularity. There was never a dull day as it always bustled with people. Her customer service was top-notch and the food was to die for. Derek was happy with the business and was even arranging for a visit from the most popular food bloggers in the city.
And spending so much time at Callie's, Arizona was bound to run into Carina again. Their reunion had been a bit awkward at first. Arizona had promised to meet Callie at her place. Callie wasn't there yet, but would be arriving at any moment. Edwards had let her in. Edwards smiled at her but still barely said two words. Arizona was walking upstairs to wait in Callie's office when she almost ran into Carina. For a second, she didn't recognize her. As Carina had got a new haircut, and was dressed in a nice suit. Carina's face registered pure shock-a look she had seen before, and it almost caused Arizona to smile. But their last encounter was something Arizona still couldn't shake. Even though she knew most of it was Callie's doing.
"Hey Robbins—Arizona. How are you?" Carina said.
"I'm good. How are you?"
"Eh, I'm hanging in there," she said in her heavy Italian accent, with a small smile. After that, they weren't sure what to say. Carina looked to the left and she glanced to the right. Carina finally turned back to speak again.
"You look really nice. Beautiful. I mean, you always did, but just wanted to tell you again."
"Thank you. You look nice too."
"Thanks. Hey, Arizona, I—hell. I want to say-,"
"No, it's fine. You don't have to say anything."
"I want to though. I—every time I put on this suit I think about what I sacrificed to do it. And I'm not proud of myself," Carina said, brushing a hand through her hair. She knows Callie told her to not approach Arizona but technically she didn't, she just ran into Arizona. And there's so much weight on her chest that she just wanted to get it all out.
"And I just want to say I'm sorry for everything."
Arizona sighed. She was still hurt, but people do desperate things for those they love. She knew that ALL too well. "I know you did it for your mother, and for that, I can't fault you. And I accept your apology." Then Carina flashed Arizona that smile that she remembered.
"Really?" Carina asked, grinning from ear to ear. "I at least thought I was going to have to eat more shit than that."
Arizona laughed. "Well, I guess you caught me on a good day, Carina."
Carina reached out and hugged Arizona. There was something about Arizona that always drew her in. But then she immediately let go and looked around.
"Shit, I forgot Callie's on her way here. Um, don't tell her I just did that," Carina said, looking down the steps toward the door.
Arizona placed her finger to her lips. "Our little secret."
She laughed out loud at Carina's flustered retreating form and made her way to Callie's office.
She walked into Callie's office and sat down on the couch. Even Callie's office couch was ten times softer than her couch at her apartment. But Arizona refused to say a word about it, or else that would be the next large item delivered to her apartment. Of course, her roommate, April would love it, but Arizona didn't want to get Callie started. Callie already was pressuring her to let her pay the rent. But Arizona needed to keep her freedom, although she appreciated the thought.
She walked over to Callie's bookcases and scanned the titles. Some were business books, some philosophy, but most of them were for architecture and building design. What? Arizona pulled one of the architecture books from the shelf and plopped it down on Callie's large desk. Arizona flipped through a few of the pages. Most of it was technical stuff that she didn't understand, but she smiled at the many notes Callie or someone had made on the pages. And since Callie had left a poem for her in the back of her book, she wanted to write one for Callie, in the back of this book.
Arizona opened a drawer looking for a pen or pencil, and came across something she just couldn't ignore. She started pulling large sheets of paper from the drawer with sketches of buildings on them. The buildings were all so realistic and flawless, full of interior structuring, design and what not. There were several different kinds. Some were finished, while others still only had the basic structure. One building had a futuristic aspect to it, and another looked like it could fit in with the ancient buildings in Rome or Venice. And on the drawings that were finished, Callie had added every little detail you could imagine, including the trees outside and people walking by. Arizona was so captivated that she didn't hear Callie enter the room.
"You know," Callie said, as Arizona jumped and scattered the papers everywhere, "if I didn't love you so much, you would have just been thrown out of this house."
"Shit, I'm sorry, I—damnit, I was looking for a pen," Arizona sheepishly said, as she picked up the drawings. "Did you do this?" Arizona asked, holding up one of the drawings.
Callie nodded. "Yeah."
"These are so good. I mean, really great. You should do this for a living," Arizona said, as Callie walked over and kissed her.
"I have a job," Callie said, sitting down behind her desk.
"I mean, one that doesn't carry a fifteen to life sentence," Arizona mocked.
Callie pinched her ass and she yelped. "Well, there's not as much money in architecture as there is in...well, what I do." Callie pulled Arizona down into her lap.
"Really, you are so talented. I wish I was," Arizona admitted.
"I'm sure you are," Callie said, nipping Arizona's neck, her favourite spot.
"No, I'm not. But I'm okay with that. I know how to admire other's talents, so that's good enough for me."
"Okay, well try drawing some trees at the bottom of this building," Callie said, handing her a pencil.
"Alright, you asked for it," Arizona said, as she leaned over Callie's desk.
Callie watched Arizona hunch her back over the paper. She raised herself up and glanced at Arizona's profile. She stared at the alabaster face as Arizona concentrated on the task. Arizona's tongue even escaped out of the corner of her mouth, as she resembled a child hard at work. Callie smiled.
"There, how's that?" Arizona asked, brushing off some of the leftover eraser from messing up several times.
Callie glanced down at the paper and raised an eyebrow. "What's that?"
"Those are the trees."
Callie glanced again and leaned closer to the paper. "That looks like a hairball surrounded by mini toothbrushes."
Arizona laughed and snorted. She gently slapped Callie's hand. "Rude."
"I mean, most children learn to draw the basics-trees being one of them. What happened to you?"
"Shut up!" Arizona laughed. She got up from Callie's lap, only to have Callie pick her up and spin her around.
"Queen of the stick figures. That's alright baby, you have many other talents, and before dinner, we're about to spend some time learning about them," Callie said, as Arizona wiggled and wrapped her legs around Callie's hips as Callie guided them towards a direct door from her office to her bedroom.
Arizona's naked back landed on the satiny duvet of Callie's king size bed with a thud as an equally naked Callie pounced on her. She immediately began to moan and twist underneath Callie's assault, but Callie held Arizona's legs firmly with her arms and straight away descended down her body.
Arizona was still wet and highly aroused, her womanhood protruding out, begging for attention and who was Callie to deny.
Callie swiveled her tongue up and down and in and out of Arizona's sweet love nest and latched on to the pulsating bundle of nerves in front of her.
"Callie...oh," she heard Arizona's whisper, as her legs began to tremble and breathing became erratic. Arizona started coming and twisting in the sheets as Callie continued to enjoy Arizona's third orgasm. The first one came when Callie had her pinned against her bedroom door as soon as they entered. The second one followed when they were done undressing each other but the bed was too far and as Arizona stumbled and fell on the carpet, Callie had immediately nestled herself between the pale thighs.
When Arizona was done trembling from her third orgasm in a row, Callie released her legs and move up Arizona's body. She kissed her deeply and then swiftly entered her. They both moaned simultaneously at the familiar reunion of their bodies.
Callie rolled them over so that Arizona was on top, straddling her. Arizona stared down at Callie as she slowly rocked her hips back and forth, riding Callie's cock. Arizona's eyes were still dark, and she quickly began picking up the pace, as she roamed her hands all over Callie's naked torso. She braced her hands against Callie's boobs, pressing them heavily and closed her eyes and started breathing heavily. Callie knew Arizona was close to coming again. She wanted her to. Watching Arizona come undone in her arms, was her favourite sight.
"Ooh, shit...shit," Arizona moaned. Callie felt so damn good inside her. She craved this. This intense feeling.
She bend down, moving her hands to place it on the sides of Callie's head, as Callie continued to thrust into her. Arizona flipped her hair to her side and engulfed the bobbing breast in front of her. She sucked on it hard, pulling it out as far as she could, then reliving it and then latching it on again. Callie's boobs always drove her wild.
Callie raised up and gripped a fist full of her blonde curls and gently guided Arizona's head to her other boobs.
Arizona's lower body was still working miracles, squeezing Callie's shaft, as her hips quickly rotated over hers.
"Um, Callie...can you-" Arizona started to say, but Callie knew exactly what she wanted. Before she could finish her sentence, Callie sat up, positioning Arizona on her lap and wrapped her lips around the bouncing pale breasts in front of her. Arizona's eyes immediately widened at the change of position but then slowly closed as she moaned again and picked up the pace, almost bouncing her entire body up and down on Callie. Callie squeezed one of the boobs in her hand tighter and Arizona started to shake. She reached up to pull Callie's head from her sensitive nipples to a violent kiss. Her body continued to shudder while on top of Callie, but then she went limp in Callie's arms and came hard.
Callie pushed her back onto the bed and settled on top of her, guiding her erection through the wet folds at a reckless speed. Arizona's whole body was overheated and sweaty and as Callie continued to pump in and out, Arizona re-gathered her strength and pulled Callie down for another hard kiss to push her over the edge.
After changing their dinner reservations twice due to Arizona showing Callie her 'talents', they finally made it to the restaurant.
Arizona chattered on about many different things and Callie listened. She enjoyed hearing Arizona talk. Actually, she enjoyed everything about Arizona. Her smile, her excitement, her laughter, her teasing, her pensive moods...all of the things she had missed when they were apart. Arizona was in the middle of explaining some incident at work when Callie slid two envelopes toward her. She hoped Arizona would like the gift she was giving, because Arizona usually hated when she bought things for her.
Arizona narrowed her eyes, but managed a small smile in the corner of her mouth. "Hmm, what's this?" she asked, opening the envelope. When she pulled out the contents of the envelope, her mouth dropped and she stared up at Callie.
Perfect. That was the reaction Callie had hoped for.
Arizona straightened as she felt Callie's arms circling her waist from behind her. Her face twinkled with surprise and shock as she heard Callie whisper in her ear…
