Bonus Update! Enjoy!
Callie desperately searched the city, scanning every nook and cranny for Arizona, but the blonde was nowhere to be found. Heartbroken and torn apart, she drove herself on to continue her search - trawling through streets and alleyways with aching persistence. Her frustration was compounded by apathy from Mark and ambivalence from people on the street, who provide only meager clues.
She had sent Carina to Oysters and Alex to swoop Derek's property earlier for any kind of lead but both had reported back negatively. They both were now at Callie's mansion with an tracking equipment, to track and tape the calls Callie might receive in terms of Arizona's whereabouts.
Mark was of no help. Ever since he had delivered the news of Arizona's absence, he had gone silent. He didn't even come forward to hold Callie up, when she emptied the contents of her stomach on the sidewalk. They have driven to Arizona's mother's apartment and Callie was hoping that Barbara might have some lead on where Arizona was headed, but the older woman came up blank. That was their last stop and the straw that broke the camel's back. Callie couldn't hold herself together anymore.
The car Arizona was using was Callie's McLaren Roadster, the one she had won from Amelia. It was parked outside Mark's house and was in a horrible condition. All the glasses were broken, like someone had hit on them repeatedly. Arizona's phone was on the passenger seat, also broken beyond repair.
That was 4 hours ago. And Callie had been tearfully trawling through the streets of the city ever since. With every hope-filled step, she was met with agonizing disappointment. Exhaustively exploring parks and promenades, she finally rounded on what looked like a dead-end on her search. If Arizona was nowhere to be found, it only meant one thing, she was kidnapped, again.
"Do we have anything on with whom she last had a conversation? Any phone calls?" Callie asked as she pulled in front of her loft, hoping to have a word with Webber. Maybe the old man has seen something substantial.
"You." Mark's reply was crispy, anger evident in undertones.
Callie sighed, she gripped the steering wheel tightly as she chewed on her lips. "You seriously don't think it's my fault, do you?" she asked
"Then whose fault is it Torres? I was keeping her safe. The only reason she went without security was because you broke up with her" Mark snapped
Callie nodded her head in despair. She couldn't even disagree with that. It was all her fault. She shouldn't have let Arizona out of her sight. This city is full of people that are after them. God. She was so stupid.
She stepped out of her SUV as Mark rounded the car to take over driving duties. He told her, he will sweep Oysters again and meet her back here in one hour. As Callie made her way towards Webber, she found the old man already approaching her.
"Ms. Torres. I'm so sorry, maybe I should have called you when I saw Ms. Robbins leaving the loft. But she was so angry that I thought maybe she would like some space…" Webber said as he looked her up and down.
Callie's heart sank. She was hoping Webber had some positive information or some intel on where Arizona was headed to. She nodded her head and made her way to her loft. It's been more than 5 hours and the worry in Callie's heart was turning into dread. When the last time Arizona was kidnapped, they had received a call within 3 hours. God. Why does this keep on happening?
Callie softly made her way inside. She needed an aspirin, before she set out on her search again with Mark. She felt like crying, yelling, and punching someone, all at the same time. Her white pullover was now rumpled and stained, her black slacks had stains of dust all over them. Her hair was unkempt and her expression was that of anguished anxiety.
"Hello Calliope!"
Callie's head shot up as her hand frantically went to the side of the door to turn on the lights of the living room. And then her heart leapt to her throat. Because right in front of her, sitting casually, was Arizona.
What the hell? Was she hallucinating now?
"Arizona?" Callie said as she rushed inside. Coming to stand in front of the blonde, her hands went straight to Arizona's face, cupping her cheeks, feeling her skin.
"Oh. My. God. It's you….you are really here…I'm..I'm not imagining things, Am I? Callie asked desperately as her hands moved throughout the blonde's body.
"Yeah, it's me" was Arizona's small reply
Her lips trembled and her eyes fluttered wildly as a sob escaped Callie's throat. Arizona is here. Arizona is safe.
"Are you okay? Did something happen to you? Did anyone hurt you? Is anyone hiding here?," Callie asked as she looked around the living room and towards the kitchen. Her mind was yet to catch up with the words spilling out of her mind.
"God!" She said as she pulled Arizona into a hug, burying her face in the blonde tresses, inhaling that oh so familiar scent, "…I was so scared, Arizona," Callie said as she cupped Arizona's face again and peppered it with kisses.
"Callie—Callie…Calliope, I'm all right." Arizona said as she held Callie's wrist, and tried to stop the soft assault of Callie's insistent lips on her face.
"I have been here all the while…" Arizona added and Callie's brows furrowed in confusion as she tried to understand Arizona's words.
"Wha—What?"
"I was here! Nothing happened to me…"
"But Mark…Mark said you were kidnapped…"
"He lied."
"Your car, it's trashed"
"I did it…"
"Everyone said they can't find you…even Webber!"
"They all lied."
"Why?" The wheels in Callie's head were churning. Her mind was clearer now. So Arizona staged her own kidnapping? But why?
"You staged all this? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?," Callie shouted, as she looked at the blonde up and down. Still unsure whether she was grasping all this correctly. Her voice was laced with anger and frustration now. Arizona remained silent, simply staring at her. She felt those piercing blue eyes like daggers piercing through her flesh, yet Arizona still did not say a word.
Arizona's demeanor only further exacerbated her vexation.
"Do you know how scared I was? The horrible, horrible thoughts that crossed my mind?" Callie rubbed her face wildly, in an attempt to wipe away the tears and the stains, "..I..cannot believe you! I was so worried that something happened to you. God! How stupid are you?" Callie asked. Her voice was teeming with trepidation and rancor as she vociferously charged at Arizona for being inconsiderate and aloof.
"And you think I wasn't?" Arizona bite back as she crossed her arms, her eyes fiery with frustration, "You think I wasn't scared when you were arrested? When you were in jail? At least you got to hug me…I was fucking shown the door."
"You think it's a game, Arizona? You really think it was easy for me to walk away? And what was your plan here? To scare me shitless so I'll come crawling back to you?" Callie spat out.
Arizona's charged up shoulders dropped. A momentary sadness taking over her form.
"No…no Calliope. I just wanted to show you that we are bound together. We have been binded since the day we signed that Agreement. You want to walk away because you think it's safer for me. Well guess what? Horrible things will still happen to me. Because I'll always be the girl you love…." Arizona said as she came closer to Callie and held her shoulders, rubbing soft circles on the taut muscles with her thumbs.
"…I'm not safe if I'm not with you. My life won't become easier if you walk away. I'm safer with you. We are more safer together." Arizona reasoned
"And you thought the best way to get that through my mind is to scare me?" Callie threw Arizona's arms away.
"Well, I'm sorry!" Arizona said
"No you're not."
"You're right! I'm not!"
The sound of the door slamming rang throughout the apartment, as Callie made her way out of the shower. The walls shuddered from the intensity. She still couldn't fathom the fact that Arizona had played her like a fiddle. Arizona had her right where she wanted and Callie was not sure how she felt about that. Her black hair hung wildly down her neck, still damp form the shower, as her cold brown eyes seared anything and anyone who happened to stumble in her way. Anger seethed out of her, rippled through her body and unto other entities in her proximity. Her steps were measured as she made her way towards the en-suite kitchen and walked to the refrigerator, pulling it open in a brusque move.
Wide eyed and a bit worried, Arizona entered the kitchen. Looking at the dark woman's turned back, Arizona noticed the bunched muscles under Callie's white tank. Callie was drinking greedily out of the juice carton, in a way that bordered on desperation. Arizona inched her way closer to Callie, quietly, so as not to startle the obviously upset woman. Laying a gentle hand on her shoulder, she almost jumped out of her skin when Callie turned around quickly and grabbed her wrist in a vice-like grip. The look in Callie's eyes made Arizona's heart beat faster; she had never seen such a look in her usually calm and composed partner.
Callie swallowed another mouthful of juice, never letting go of Arizona's captured hand. "Don't." She said tensely and turned back around, noticing the blonde flying along with her. When Callie heard Arizona release a startled gasp, she finally let her hand go.
Arizona waited a few moments, hoping that Callie would come around and talk to her. Callie kept a strong-hold on the neck of the plastic bottle and kept drinking deeply.
"We have glasses, you know." Arizona said gently, trying to get a smile out of her still angry partner. She knew Callie was still mad but she also needed to know where they stand now. Whether her little stint was worth anything. The need to know where they stood was itching at her and she practically had to cover her mouth with her hand so as not to blurt something out, something that would surely make Callie angrier than she was; if that was at all possible.
Arizona's attempt at making a joke fell flat. All Callie did was turn her angry gaze at her, pull the bottle away from her gulping mouth and sneer. She literally sneered in Arizona's direction. A tiny shard of fear began gnawing at Arizona's stomach. She took a careful step back, gulping loudly when Callie followed.
"Leave me alone, I'm not in the mood for your stupid jokes." Callie said harshly.
Without thinking about her actions, Arizona narrowed her eyes in anger, leaving the fear behind. It wasn't her fault that Callie was too stubborn to see the fault of her ways and she shouldn't be the one to take the brunt for it.
If she hadn't been so rash, she would have considered her next move before acting and would have wisely stepped away and left the fuming Latina alone. However, as they say, hindsight is twenty-twenty and at that moment, all Arizona could see was red. "What is wrong with you? Why can't you get your stubborn head out of your ass and see that I did what I did to show you how wrong you were" Arizona said with a harsher tone than she had intended.
Arizona barely had time to predict the move, when she found herself clasped tightly to the powerful body of Callie, staring deeply and quite closely, up into two burnt umbers of her eyes.
Callie had one arm tucked behind Arizona's back, pulling her to herself, holding her captive, trapping her arms at her sides. She could feel Arizona's hot breath on her lips and for some reason it only angered her more. She felt nothing but anger at that moment, at her lover, at her friends, at her family, at everyone who lied to her….continued to lie to her while she was going through hell.
"I thought I told you to leave me the fuck alone! But when on earth have you ever listened to me? You had to push, didn't you?!"
Not waiting for an answer, Callie used her free hand to pull Arizona's head in, closing the distance between them. The kiss was by no means soft or gentle. It was raw, powerful, bordering on being ferocious. Arizona could feel her lips swelling from Callie's dominant force. A small whimper escaped Arizona's mouth, only causing Callie to pull her harder against her lips; an excuse to plunder her soft mouth with her searing tongue. Arizona opened her mouth wide, the ferocity between them was almost tangible - tongues clashing & chasing, teeths bumping & fighting, as if the winner will have a prize of unparalleled magnitude.
They both pulled back. Surprised by the fire between them. The intensity of the moment filled the room, evoking emotions that neither had anticipated - an amalgamated mixture of love, anger, regret and longing intertwined. This sudden action created a lull within the altercation; every word spoken previously forgotten by each as if lost in a labyrinthine fog. All that remained were two sets of eyes focused solely on one another. Indigo vs Umber.
She felt a hand clawing at her rear as another steadied her back, and Callie's lips wandered down to her neck, sucking at the soft flesh there wildly. Fuck.
Each wild caress of Callie's tongue was sending a spark of electricity through Arizona's body. She could almost see the flames coming from Callie's body as she returned to reclaim her lips and deepened the kiss further with an unbridled intensity and all-consuming adoration. As their ardor intensified, she felt Callie reaching new heights in passion; every movement of her lips and hands becoming more daringly intimate than the last.
An unspoken bond of desire existed between them, an ever-shifting balance of power as they sought to discover new depths of pleasure. Each kiss was an exploration into unknown territories, where every touch was an exhilarating surprise.
Callie then fastened her other hand around the blonde's knees and lifted her up and took her to their bedroom. A few seconds later, Callie was still holding onto Arizona, kissing and plundering her mouth for all she was worth, while her hands made themselves busy crawling all over the lithe body. She unceremoniously pulled Arizona's blue t-shirt out of her pants and with one long swoop, above her head, throwing it to one corner of the room, all the while their tongues were still dueling with ferocity.. Next came Arizona's bra, which was harder to take off since Arizona had begun to regain her senses and was starting to put up a fight. "Stop…mm. Callie please…mmm, stop." She pleaded between kisses.
Callie stopped her frantic movements for a second, looking into Arizona's darkened blue eyes. She grasped her jaw in a surprisingly gentle hand and said, "You don't really want me to stop, do you?"
"No penetration. Doctors order." Arizona replied in short breaths, unable to make a complete sentence.
Arizona saw Callie's eyes widening in surprise as recognition dawned on her. She saw Callie moving away, a look of guilt marring her face, "But I want you. I want this. God! I want this", Arizona panted out, before Callie could pull away.
Their breaths were hot and heavy on each other's face, as their eyes each fought for dominance, striving to be the one who won the other's affection. A mutual need for closeness that could only be expressed through fervid physical contact was palpable in the air. In that moment, nothing else matters but two hearts beating together in perfect harmony.
Callie waited. And after a few moments Arizona nodded her head.
Her hand slowly caressed Arizona's tightly clenched jaw and then her fingers curled in the blonde tresses and pulled her head into another drawn-out kiss. During the kiss, Callie grabbed both of Arizona's hands and pushed them behind her back, holding them still through the blonde's struggling. She tried to unsnap the back clasps of the bra but her efforts proved fruitless, making her growl in anger. Mumbling her annoyance in incoherent words, again and again, Callie had had enough and she ripped the bra in two. A startled gasp escaped Arizona's mouth as a cold shiver ran down her naked spine. Callie's other hand traveled slowly down Arizona's body, moving from her chest down to her stomach, reaching the top edge of her blue jeans. With that same hand she snapped open the button, pulled the zipper down and with a swift motion, pushed the jeans to the floor, letting them slide down Arizona's perfectly sculpted hips.
Callie narrowed her eyes dangerously as she picked her smaller lover up in her arms and laid her down on the soft sheet that was covering their king sized bed. Like a panther prowling in the wild, in the search for a delicious prey to pounce on, Callie rose on her hands and knees, still fully dressed, and made her way over Arizona's prone body. Callie noticed a small shiver run through the smooth body beneath her and a similar one overcame hers. She didn't even bother taking her clothes off as she laid her tall, muscular body on top of the panting blonde. Arizona didn't know what was better, having Callie take charge of her with no consideration or having to anticipate her next move as she slowly moved on top of her. A jean clad knee immediately thrust itself against her sensitive sex and she gasped in surprise. The attack had begun all over again. Callie captured both of Arizona's wrists in her one hand and pushed them tightly against the bed, above her head. Licking a path from her sensitive ear down to the hollow of her throat, Callie hummed in pleasure. As Arizona slowly began to enjoy herself, marveling at the searing touch of her lover, she yelped in surprise and pain when a pair of very sharp teeth marked her neck, claiming their territory. Callie's favourite spot on her body.
When the red blotch appeared on the creamy white skin of Arizona's neck, Callie looked satisfied and she kissed and softly licked the now sensitized piece of flesh. She lowered her head to capture a hardened nipple between her teeth and smiled at the short intake of breath. Letting the nipple harden between her teeth, she simply breathed against her, unmoving. The moan that escaped Arizona's mouth made Callie release her captive nub and take her entire breast inside her mouth. She sucked on the soft breast wildly, pulling the mass out of Arizona's body with her lips and then realising it and diving in again.
With her knee still between the writhing blonde, she pushed Arizona's legs further apart, making room for her soon to be invading hand. She moved to treat the other breast the same way and started playing in the blonde curls at Arizona's sex. She was happy to discover that the thin patch of hair was soaked with Arizona's passion. With as much gentility as she can manage through her passion driven mind, Callie started a circular rhythm on Arizona's clitoris. Arizona released a surprised gasp, the sensation making her completely unable to utter anything more. Her hands came to claw at Callie's tank top.
The power of Callie's soft movements on her mound was driving her wild, Arizona moaned loudly as her body rose further up the bed and if Callie hadn't kept a strong grasp on her wrists, she would have already banged her head against the headboard. Callie continued licking, sucking and nipping around the soft mounds of Arizona's breast underneath her mouth, kissing her way down the valley between them. When she felt Arizona begin to respond to her sensuous touch, she began moving her fingers on Arizona's sex in circular motion, harder and faster, enjoying the look of rapture on Arizona's straining face. Arizona's muscles were bunched in tension as her body faced the most unbridled passion it had ever known.
Arizona was in a place unfamiliar, between pleasure and mild pain. Her mind couldn't conjure up a thought; she was beyond that, beyond anything that could possibly ground her. And soon she was lost, lost in delirious pleasure...or was it pain...she could no longer tell.
The hunching body of Callie against her, her hand stimulating her sex, was the only thing she felt, the only thing she knew. With a surprisingly deep press and a thoroughly rough kiss, Arizona opened her mouth to gasp for air, her neck straining with the pressure. One small whimper escaped her throat and then her body crashed into a million, tiny pieces of abandon. Her entire body shook with the force, making the bed tremble underneath their sweat soaked bodies.
Eyes wide, blinking through the dimly lit room, Arizona took deep breaths to fill her starved lungs. It had been one of the most earth-shattering experiences she had ever been through.
When Arizona first felt the shaking she thought her own body was reacting with the aftershocks, but then she felt the strange wetness against her heated throat.
Clenching and unclenching her fingers, Arizona realized her hands were no longer held captive. She looked down at the dark hair covering her upper body and lowered her hand to Callie's bowed head. The shaking had come from Callie, who was crying just as fiercely as she had taken Arizona's body but a minute ago. With a soft hand, Arizona caressed the dark tresses away from the tear streaked face, trying to find the brown eyes she had fallen in love with. "Calliope? What's wrong, baby?" All that had happened was suddenly forgotten and there was only the here and now. Callie was uncharacteristically crying and Arizona's heart constricted in pain.
Callie raised her head slightly, capturing the blue ones of her beloved. At the surprising look of love and tenderness, she began sobbing all that much harder, continuously begging for Arizona's forgiveness, "I'm so sorry...Oh God, I'm sorry...I'm sorry for giving up on us…. I'm sorry you had to go through losing our baby, alone. I'm sorry"
Arizona let Callie cry until she had no more tears left, simply holding her tightly and whispering soft reassurances into her flushed ear. Finally, Callie ceased her crying and raised her head to look into Arizona's eyes, "I'm so sorry, baby. I'm sorry I hurt you...I never meant to hurt you." She mumbled a few other unintelligible words and burrowed her head back into the cocoon of warmth that was Arizona's chest, wrapping her arms securely around her waist.
They spent several more minutes just laying together, basking in the glow that they couldn't help but feel, no matter the circumstance. Callie lifted her head up slowly, looking at the hickies that were now visible on Arizona's body, the one on neck and between the valley of her breasts, particularly angrier looking than others.
"Did I hurt you badly?" Callie's small, regretful voice asked.
Arizona smiled slightly, taking note of the pleasant buzz that seemed to engulf her entire being, "No honey, I'm okay…..Now are we good or not?"
For the first time, since she had stepped into the loft, Callie smiled. A small smile, but it was still there.
"Don't you ever pull anything like that on me, ever again!" Callie warned, a hint of smile still gracing her lips
"Don't give me a reason not to." Arizona lifted her chin up.
Callie's hand wandered down as she felt around her jeans pocket, and then came up to hold Arizona's hand between their bodies.
"I'll always give you a reason to be mad at me. You are stuck with me forever." she said as slipped the engagement ring back where it belonged.
Hugging Callie's body closer to her own, until they felt like one, Arizona continued caressing her dark, disheveled hair through the night. Maybe they will continue to drive each other insane.
But it will be worth it.
