Chapter Thirteen: Absence.

The next day, Anna went to school a little earlier than usual, so she would see Elsa come out the bus after hers. But she was absent.

The next day as well, even Thursday.

That was strange.

Elsa usually never skip school. What could have happened to her...?

Anna was sick to her stomach during that fourth day of the week. She was supposed to be excited because Thursday was literally Friday's Eve... or day. Whichever. But knowing Elsa went missing for a couple of days was really weird.

Friday arrived, Elsa decided to go to school before her father tells her off. Hans was walking with Anna to her class. Elsa saw them from afar. Oh, great, she sighed. 'new love birds... Makes me wanna puke! She wanted to say hi to Anna and apologize to her for skipping school, but looks like she was happy with Hans and doesn't want to disturb them.

Elsa arrived to her class early. Way too early. No-one was there. She checked the time. She has about a few minutes until the bell rings.

She was away for almost a week because of Hans. She would thought Anna was waiting for her, instead she was with Hans since she was absent. What ever did she do to deserve to be replaced like that?! Here she thought Anna would be upset when she was away...

Seeing her with a guy wasn't written in her Anna list, until now. Maybe it was better off ignoring her and leaving her with her new friend.

While talking to Hans about his twelve older brothers, Anna felt... lonely with Hans. Something felt a bit off. She couldn't figure out what. Maybe it was about Elsa. Is she at school today, I wonder... she sighed to herself whilst Hans was murmuring things.

She was with Hans for a few days, trying to kept her schedule busy whilst Elsa wasn't there. It sort of work. She did think about her a few times, but not all the time. Which was a success for her.

Using Hans to get Elsa jealous sounds like a great plan for Anna. For now. Hopefully nothing will happen between them.

As the breaks passed throughout the last day of the week, Elsa tend to hide and walked the other direction to get to her classes so she wouldn't have to see Anna or either Hans on the way there. She could see the way they were hanging out, they seem to like each other... very much. Well at least the two weren't in the library. Elsa spent her time there.

When the bell rang, Hans was seen walking towards the library when Elsa was heading out. He stopped her before she went out the doorway. "Are you by any chance... Elsa?" he asked her.

"Uhh, yes. How did you know?" Elsa wondered.

"Anna."

Oh.

"You need to leave her alone, Elsa."

"Wh-What?!" Elsa exclaimed, suddenly her heart was racing from a sudden realization from Hans' words. It hurt so much that the tip of her ears started to throb in pain as well as her world around her felt like it stood still like the Earth stopped rotating around the sun.

"She told me all about you and your 3DS situation. Come on, you big baby! It's just a 3DS. Buy a new one!"

"I- I-It's not just a 3DS, Hans! A special someone gave me th-that!" Elsa's voice was slightly shaking and squeaked out her last word, trying to control herself from her inaudible tears. She was saying things so fast that she didn't thought about what she was going to say.

"Well, ask that special someone to buy you a new one, suck it up!"

"The-They can't! They're already-"

"What..? Already too poor that they can't afford to buy you a new one?"

N... No.. My m-mother was never poor! She just-

"You're wasting my time. Just do me a favour and leave Anna alone. She told me you don't even want to be with her anyway."

No.. Th-that's not true.. I want to be with her.. She was the one who opened me up and got me out of my comfort zone.. Elsa had her thoughts occupying her inside her mind that Hans left Elsa there, slightly nudging her shoulder as he walked passed her and she just stood there, trying to take everything in. She couldn't give up on Anna, no... not now when she just recently started to have feelings for her. This is so wrong. Th-this isn't the Anna I know...

Instead of going to her last class, Elsa ducked it and swiftly ran out the library to go home. Little did she know, Anna was going on her bathroom break and she saw her running off. She wanted to run after her, but she doesn't have her bag. Leaving now will cause problems. Anna then went inside the bathroom then she saw Vanellope there fixing up her hair and looking in the mirror. She walked over to her, washing her hands, trying to get the other girls' attention. She then realized it didn't work, so she decided to speak up, "V... Vanellope?"

"Yes?" the other girl said, looking at Anna by her reflection.

"You know those three guys who bully Elsa...?"

"Do you mean Taffyta, Rancis and Candlehead?"

Anna nodded. "I don't get why they bully Elsa. They're jerks."

Vanellope finished clipping the last candy wrapper designed hair clip onto her hair. "Taffyta wasn't always like that. Aside of Rancis and Candlehead, those two just follow her around."

"Wow. I wonder what happened to her..."

"I don't know. She wasn't like that before." Vanellope paused for a moment, looking down at the sink in front of her, Anna watched her slightly spacing out. Was she hiding something...? "But when I ask her, she acts like a bitch. But anyway, I've seen you with Elsa for quite a while now. You seem nice to her."

"Well.. I accidentally broke her 3DS. She hasn't forgiven me."

"She probably did forgiven you. Is she still talking about it?"

"No.."

"There you go."

"But... I just saw her running off earlier. And since I've hang out with this guy in my class, she's been ignoring me. I don't know why..."

"Ever thought she might be jealous of him?" the black haired girl turned herself around to fully look at Anna.

"What? Elsa? Jealous of... Hans? Nooo... Why would she?!"

"Heck, like I know!" Vanellope shrugged. "You need to figure that out yourself, dear... Uhh... what was your name?"

"It's Anna."

"Well, Anna. It's been like what 20 minutes. Your teacher might be mad at you for taking long off your class. I'll see you later, and look after Elsa for me, all right?."

Anna nodded as she walked out the bathroom. Elsa is jealous of Hans...?
