Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Grim Reaper and Supersoldier. Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own VK, Sega, Ryutaro Nonaka and Shuntaro Tanaka do.

Riela tapped her fingers on the windowsill. It felt cold to most people, however, she felt nothing. It caused her to turn to Gabriel who was quiet.

"You, ok?" Gabriel questioned, yawning to himself as he did so. "I don't know what they plan to do. There's a war coming, I doubt there's a plan if it comes here." Gabriel stated to himself as he rubbed at his temples.

Riela was silent, kicking her feet back and forth. If there was anything that made it weird? It was how Gabriel seemed to know something was coming, he had an unnatural sixth sense for this.

"It is quite unusual for this to happen, isn't it?" Gabriel questioned, raising his eyebrow as he did so. "I don't know what plans on happening next. I know the army wants better soldiers." Gabriel put in as he leaned on the wall, turning around so he looked out the door, curious as to what the army's plan is.

How did they fight soldiers who outmatched them? Who outnumbered them thousands of times and were quite better? The empire had fought better then Gallia from what he heard.

"You know if we come to the army?" Riela asked as she leapt down from the ledge, landing in front of Gabriel. "We can't go back." Riela put into which he nodded.

"Would you like the empire to take over all of Gallia?" Gabriel questioned, pausing to turn to the side. "If we lose? We all fail and die, and bad stuff will happen then. I don't want that to happen, you know that." Gabriel said, sighing as he wiped off his neck.

Riela was quiet as she watched Gabriel rub at the cold sweat, he had. He was always worried when it comes down to it, however? She knew that there was probably a good reason as to this, Gabriel only ever had thoughts lie this when he was onto something.

"Do you really think something is coming that badly?" Riela asked as the duo walked towards their room. "We both know the army always wants people to come. They own half the kingdom." Riela stated as he hummed, clicking her fingers together.

"Maybe, but they're still protecting us." Gabriel stated as he turned to look to the side. "They're the army. How many countries do you want to say we invaded? Wouldn't we have a history book if we did so many horrible things." Gabriel put in as he clicked his jaws together.

He hummed as he shook his head. He knew for a fact that the army wasn't the moral entity when it came down to it. Gabriel was quite set on joining the army, fighting their war against the empire. It would protect Gallia, even if he didn't really support the army? He felt like it was better than doing nothing.

"I'm guessing someone will have to take care of you?" Riela questioned to which he turned to her. "There was no end to the number of times I've had to save you." Riela said before Gabriel hummed as he turned to walk to the side.

"I'm not really as bad as you seem to think." Gabriel said before he leaned on the wall. "I've had to save your life more than you think if you forget. Always had to, I've been doing it for plenty of years. You always forget that." Gabriel stated as he smirked.

"I'm going to guess you forget the few times I had to protect you?" Riela asked before she walked by him. "I had to do it plenty of times. There's no shortage of that." Riela added as he hummed to herself.

The duo shared a look that convoyed respect between them. Below the insults, jabs, and jokes? They knew enough to protect the other. It was something they couldn't ever forget, no matter how much they went through.

"I'm guessing that you have a plan when you join the army?" Riela questioned to which she got a nod from her friend. "Then you have nothing to worry about. Everything will work out fine. You've done it long enough for it to work out." Riela stated while he shook his head.

He hung his head, looking around the room with interest as Gabriel took in his sights at the moment. He hummed to himself while leaning back as he did so.

"I do, but it needs to slowly build up to it." Gabriel said as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Why? Are you mad?" Gabriel asked before he clicked his fingers together.

She said nothing, knowing that Gabriel had his own plans. He was quite annoyed, but there was something to be done. She'd deal with it when she got to that bridge.

"I do want to point out that I'm going to be joining up in a few weeks." Gabriel stated as Riela nodded to herself.

'Of course, you will be doing that.' Riela thought to herself while she sighed to herself.

"We still have things to do before then we do that." Riela said as Gabriel frowned to himself. "Don't forget that you can't just leave to join the army that easy. There's a lot of paperwork that goes into that, you know that." Riela added while Gabriel was silent while he shook his head.

She hummed to herself as Gabriel slowly started to walk away to pack up his stuff.
