The group's viewpoint of the sun setting beyond the village was perfect. Kagome sat in a patch of grass in her new kimono admiring the scene as the children played around her. Ah Un was grazing not far from them eating a patch of daisies.
They had already had dinner and planned to leave the following morning to continue their journey. Sango and Miroku were cleaning and polishing their weapons as they listened to the children play, having a quiet discussion on what the following day would hold.
"Alright kids, time to start settling down. Let's go begin our evening lessons and get ready for bed." Kagome smacked her knees and stood up.
Shippo and Rin looked at each other and started running to the campsite. They took out their school supplies and sat down near the fire to begin their work with Kagome.
"Kagome-nee-san I don't understand what this is. Why is it so bumpy?" Rin pointed at a letter in her workbook.
"That is a W Rin-chan. It does look bumpy doesn't it? Can you think of something that starts with the w sound?"

Sitting across camp under a tree, Sesshomaru admired the lesson and patience that Kagome displayed while teaching the children. The children were rambunctious, and yet she still guided them through the lesson, checking their comprehension as she went.
'She would make a good mate.' "Hn. She would" She would certainly nurture any young that came into the pack. Spreading out his aura, Sesshomaru blanketed the camp in his scent so all that came near would know that they were his. His senses perked at an aura rising in the distance, unable to decipher if it was a friend or foe.
Sesshomaru stood slowly, turning away and heading into the forest to investigate.
