Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter. Hope you like this one. It'll be a shorter one. But, hope you still like it.
Let's get to it.
Guest: Yes, I will say Oliver and Natasha's wedding will be interruption free.
Guest 2.0: If I introduce Blade, I will probably include Batman.
Green Hal37: Not sure what you mean by asking is Hank's gone soft. As for all the marriages in Phase 2, I have so many couples at this point in the MACU that I mainly want to get through the weddings more quickly rather than draw them out. So, I decided to have most of the weddings in the MACU take place in Phase 2. I plan to have one, maybe two more, but it will be a while before the next one. Plus, I'm a helpless romantic, what can I say? I'm not decided if I'll use Wesley Sniper or Mahershala Ali
Chapter 5- Let's go Hunting
Natasha smiles as she sets her fork down after eating the last bite of mashed potatoes. She looks over at Barry and says with a smile, "Barry, you're a really good cook."
Barry smiles. "Thanks. I had a lot of practice in the year after the Decimation when I was just living with the twins," he says happily.
Natasha smiles a bit, then turns to Wanda and says, "Oh, by the way, Wanda, I just remembered that I wanted to ask if you wanted to come wedding dress shopping with me next month. I don't want to do all the parties that usually come with getting married, but I definitely want to go shopping for my dress with my friends."
Wanda beams. "I would love to. Just tell me the day and time and I'll be there," she says.
Natasha smiles happily, then says, "Well, I had better head back to Earth-99. But it's been so good to see you again. You really need to come to Earth-99 for a visit soon."
"We will. We all miss you guys," Wanda says.
"And we miss you guys too," Natasha says.
Natasha clears her plate and takes it to the sink and washes it. She then gives Wanda and Barry each a hug, then hugs the twins before she pulls out the extrapolator and opens a breach before stepping through it.
When she emerges from the breach, she emerges in the kitchen, where Oliver is just finishing his last bite of a steak. He looks up at her as she steps through the breach and smiles pleasantly.
"Well, how was the trip?" he asks her.
"Really good. I got see everybody and hang out with my godson," she says pleasantly, which makes Oliver smile.
"Oh, and Clint said if you don't treat me right, he'll kill you slowly and painfully," she says with a grin.
Oliver laughs for several moments before he says, "Well, he'd have to beat me first, and I'm not sure Clint is a better fighter than me." Natasha laughs with him.
Oliver walks up to her and hugs her. "But, I'd never treat you bad. I will treat you like a queen," he says and then plants a kiss on her lips with every word as he says, "Every. Single. Day."
"Well, you better treat me like a queen, because I will be a Queen," she says, and the two laugh again.
"Also, I told Barry you were probably going to make him a groomsman or best man, just FYI," Natasha says.
Oliver looks mock upset. "Nat! I wanted to tell him!" he says. Natasha just chuckles and kisses him again.
The two head into the game room, where they spend some time playing card games for a few hours with Scott and Bruce. Natasha dominates the three men for the most part, something she teases them about until she and Oliver decide to go to bed.
As Natasha is lying in bed that, with Oliver sleeping soundly beside her, snoring slightly, Natasha stares up at the ceiling, wondering about what Clint said about Moon Knight, and thinking about the mysterious vigilante. Finally, before she finally nods off, she finally decides that she and Oliver are going to look for Moon Knight.
(The next morning)
Natasha opens her eyes as she sees sunlight coming into the room. She slowly turns over in bed, only to discover the other side of the bed is empty. She smiles a bit, no longer surprised as she knows Oliver is an early riser. She slips out bed and walks out the bedroom in her pajamas.
As she walks into the kitchen, she sees Oliver flipping some pancakes while simultaneously cooking some bacon. She smiles and says, "Up early and making breakfast? I got lucky in my choice of a fiancée, didn't I?"
Oliver smiles as he looks over at her. "I guess so," he says.
Natasha walks over and takes over the bacon. She keeps turning the bacon for the next minute or two before moving it out of the skillet and onto a plate. Oliver then takes the pancakes over to the table as she follows him with the bacon.
As the two sit down to eat, Natasha looks at Oliver, and after a moment, she says, "Hey, Oliver. I have something I wanted to talk to you about."
Oliver looks up at her, right as he's about to pour syrup onto his pancakes. "Yes?" he asks.
"Yesterday, when I was visiting Clint, I told him about Moon Knight. I told him how I think we shouldn't just ignore him, and Clint suggested we try and find him. And I think he was right. I think we should try and find Moon Knight," Natasha says.
Oliver looks at her for a moment before saying, "Why do you think that?"
"Partly, I want to say thank you for him coming to help us, even if we could've handled that mugger ourselves. Second…I don't know why, but I want to find out who he is and why he's doing this. I think if we could get to know him, he could be a powerful ally," Natasha responds.
Oliver is quiet for several moments before saying, "Alright. If you think we should, and so does Clint, then let's do it. Let's find Moon Knight." He pauses for a second, then says, "After breakfast, though, right?"
"Of course," Natasha says with a laugh before starting to dig into the bacon.
Breakfast is over rather quick. After they finish, they take the dishes to the sink and wash them, then head to a room where they do all their intelligence work and planning for their operations.
"So, how do you think we should start looking?" Oliver asks.
"Let's start by figuring out everywhere Moon Knight has been spotted since he first showed up. Then, see if we can get an idea if there's a pattern to his appearances. In the mean time, I have an old friend of mine who may be able to help. I'll give her a call and see if she can dig anything up," Natasha responds.
"Alright. Let's get started," Oliver says.
And, I'll go ahead and end there. Hope you liked will probably be the shortest story of the chapter.
So, next chapter is when they'll meet Moon Knight again. Well, one of them will.
Also, I'm just going to say that the friend Natasha referenced is Yelena Belova. Obviously, at this point, we don't know what will happen to her in the Black Widow movie (curse you, coronavirus!), but, in this universe, Yelena is alive and friendly to Natasha (even though some movie rumors suggest she'll end up being otherwise by the end of the movie). Just FYI, I have plans for Yelena and Red Guardian to show up at some point. Also, once I see the Black Widow movie, I'll find a way to explain my version of the movie in this universe.
Alright, that's it for this one. Next one will be up sooner than this one was. Until it is up, leave a review, and stay tuned!
