Well, hello. I bless your eyes with this ultimate chapter that would quench your thirst of revenge.

I have got nothing to say but I'm sure you will have to after this chapter. Go ahead read and review.

ONCE BROKEN, CUTS TWICE.

When Hinata woke up or more appropriately tried to, her body felt as if it was shoved down the lowest level of the lithosphere. Pain, pressure and claustrophobic. Her eyelids were pinched shut by crusty layers of liquid. It wouldn't open and when it did, the lower and upper lashes were intertwined together. Steadily she put forth more force which resulted in little pieces of crust falling atop her eyes. It started itching, excruciatingly so.

Helping herself felt a lost cause. For reasons she didn't believe her limbs were in contact. It pained greatly and whenever she tried to lift them or imagined that is what was happening; it would be futile. Only thing that coursed through her was affliction. As if all her body cells have been torn apart by tweezers only to stitch them back.

The pain was too much, too much to even take one breath. Cracks and crevices were all on her body and with every passing moment they burned a ton more. The scum that seemed to deposit on the body surface seemed to pierce body pores. Or was it suffocation? Every huff of air that left her with waves of constricting pain would intrude again, forcing to take it back and repeat the same.

It was involuntary, the breathing, the circulation but somehow it felt as if a lot of volitional investment were behind those. Nanoparticles gushed through mouth, scraping her windpipe and pharynx in the process. Everytime she tried stopping it, it burned, Everytime she tried to fasten it, it burned too much.

The feeling of despair, pain was indescribable. The closest she could jam in words would definitely be; being thrown in the middle of sea with your limbs cut off, the light particles slipping out of your eyes and you never stop falling, never hit the land, never die. The wish would be getting eaten by a sea monster because anything, anything is better than this nothingness that never seemed to climax.

"What is happening?" There weren't many times when Sasuke was left clueless but in this room, since the moment he arrived that particular emotion has been wafting like spring winds.

Hinata was transferred from the tube to an incubator -like structure that continuously emitted blue lights. She was still stark naked and most of her body crooks were filled with crusty, hardened liquid formulations.

The image had an uncanny resemblance to a baby hauled out of the mother's womb. Nude, shriveled and ragged. Except for blood there was crust all over.

Whole 14 hours later, the blue lights were switched off and Karin was there with a sponge, bucket and some kind of antiseptic water.

"What does it look like?" Her voice came muffled from behind the mask. She was skillfully unhooking little knots at the edge of glass covers to flap open the capsule. "She needs cleaning. I'm doing it and you should be grateful about it. "

Karin really had no part in this resurrection. Hell she had nothing to do with her. Had it been anyone other than Sasuke they wouldn't have had the pleasure to even see her. But this was sasuke and she was his personal request. Now that the fancy part was over from here one it was taking care of her until she's gained enough wits to wake up. This was the first time somebody passed the 'experiment' stage to reach 'rehabilitation ' one.

The incubator she was in basically provided a sterile environment with rapid flow of hot air. That meant all liquid precipitate would simply solidify over her. If she was to wake up in good health then hygiene was to be maintained. Orochimaru wouldn't clean her. Ahem if he did, Sasuke wouldn't like the execution. Sasuke wouldn't cut for it as well, this was Naruto's wife and she was not sure how any man would react with their wife being cleaned by another. Sasuke already did his part ogling while trapped in the capsule anyways.

There were no maids waltzing around so Karin it was.

And that would be a good excuse to spend some time with Sasuke who refused to move beyond 10 metres of her.

"With that?" He gave a questionable look and before Karin felt nostalgia waving in, she realized it was for the sponge she was holding. It was not the best thing to clean a skin but like who cares? Apparently Sasuke does.

She gaped at him. Oh now the gentleman has started caring too? It shouldn't be surprising given his adamant vigor of these past days to not let her alone for a second. Whatever the issue was with him, he did care for her. She thought maybe it was because Sarada would be in her care. It wasn't about only Sarada anymore now was it?

"Didn't think someone who was dead few hours would have cared much…" she mumbled. "You said it. I'll see what I can do. " Her old clothes can come to rescue.

The whole concept of Sasuke caring about someone without butchering himself was so fucking weird.

Speaking about caring. "Why did you and Sakura divorce?" Last time she saw them, they were dead set on pursing their purposes. There wasn't much Sasuke could provide but he did give all his trust and whatever leftovers were there of love. In return she gave him a family. Her teenage heart was wretched, she had for years hoped that home could be her.

He was good-looking, too damn attractive for someone who travelled all the time through grim and was in his thirties. Though his personality was not wholly condensed around his looks anymore, she still had grave respect for him. That was why she was happy, genuinely so when he found a place to call 'home' irrespective of his eroded homecoming. Once upon a time she had wanted him, who wouldn't? He was mad handsome, had enough nonchalance to woo any girl and was crazy strong. It was a daily routine to wake up and simp.

Over time the infatuation evaporated and all that was left was the memories they made as a team. She was stringy, hotheaded and straight up stupid. The mourning always lingered, a silent hope to recreate that belongingness to a team.

Which she admitted was very much impractical and plain simple delusional. Sasuke was an one man army, if he wished he could tow down hidden villages with motions of his palm. He was rational on battlefield but perceptive enough to decide the pace. The experience he harbored eliminated the need of a 'team'. Still it would have been nice to hope one of these days she could be at his mercy. All he needed to do was ask for her to gamble anything.

Sasuke contemplated whether he should or shouldn't be honest. She was trustworthy no doubt but was he going to let someone else know more about him than what was shown? It's not like he was stuck up with the feelings and all. "She cheated on me with Naruto."

There was a pause.

"What the fuck? Are you kidding? When have you become a prankster? " She threw her hands up in air. Even if it was Sasuke she refused to believe Naruto would cheat on his lady love. "That guy is in mad love with her. Haven't you seen them? He practically worships the land she walks upon. I met him before the proposal. He was a fucking puddle of goo. This woman made him insane to the point he fainted! Yes he fainted while talking about her and I had to drag him all the way to Sakura! You know what she said? He was religiously taking lessons from her on how to impress her. Stopped gunking ramen, bought her flowers, bought her souvenirs everywhere he went and cried, literally cried how grateful he was to kami she exists. Ain't no way he cheated. "

Sasuke was un-appalled. People changed.

"He even refused the Hokage position until the kids were old enough to take their own shit. Why? because he didn't want to leave his lovely wifey alone. I visited him again when the lady was through her second pregnancy. They were still in the honeymoon 's everything he thinks about all fucking day, I'm a sensor Sasuke I know shit. And with Sakura? He was disgusted by her as far as I remember. Ain't no fucking way he cheated on his lady love with her. " She huffed in disbelief warding the unbelievable thought. Naruto and Hinata were made for each other, and went to the moon and back. No fucking way this was happening.

Sasuke pondered. There was something more to everything. Besides he heard the Hyūga was slowly, painfully falling out of love. Too much of anything will eat you alive.

But in her own ways Karin was also right. She was a sensor, she had edge in this sorts.

"Disgusted?" Naruto could be a lot of things. Disgust is something that was not very Naruto like. There were things like respect, friendship, love, trust, belief, pity, hatred, sympathy and even to some levels jealousy yet disgust was something Sasuke couldn't imagine he was capable of. Can someone be disgusted by their own love?

"When I met him, actually met him, an Uzumaki, world hero or not he was my only family left. It felt so vulnerable yet so wholesome, that there was someone, other than me I could call family, a clan. He probably felt the same too, we talked for hours and he told me about Hinata. I asked him about you, Sakura; he looked horrified. I don't even understand what that was but he was repulsed by her. After Hinata whenever he saw Sakura all he could visualize was how misguided his affections were. How hurt Hinata would have been after he spent hours with Sakura pinning like an idiot. When you were declared a rogue, Sakura confessed to him and begged him to give up on you and come back home with her. After Hinata he thought about that accident often, it was like a slap on wet skin. What if he had said yes that day? He was disgusted that Sakura knew about Hinata's feelings for him yet did a shit show. She abused the affections he held for her and now it's a nightmare thinking how Hinata would've cried then. He was so furious Sasuke, I was scared of him. But I was stupid too. I thought it was Sakura and Naruto, Naruto and Sakura, they would get it together, they were inseparable. I used to think they would somehow end up together, that day it was a reality check. He really loves Hinata, his anger only subsided when I brought Hinata up, he was laughing, blushing. I should've known he was wasted. In a good way, yes, in a lovely way. Love like that doesn't go anywhere Sasuke, what would you know? "

Ah yes, what would he know? He has never loved like that and he fucked up where someone loved him like that. Besides what happens when someone loves like that? He thought about the Hyūga, whatever Karin was spewing was probably true on both sides. Though she said how disgruntled she was after her brother's death, he could see, in her pearl eyes, that it was a lie. She loved Naruto to no end. Few drugs could only alter a little chemicals, in the end she will kill herself again and again if he ever asked. Even though she was troubled, even though she was broken, she loved Naruto too much to not devote herselves. Because he saw it, in her memories embedded deep in her soul how she scraped herself for him, willingly.

Every kiss stolen ended with licit rape.

"You left them alone!? Take me to my kids Sasuke!" Hinata wailed, scrambling through the thick fabric layer. She woke up roughly a few seconds prior. A brief explanation later she was scurrying under the fabric to reach her kids. There was a struggle in sitting upright. She looked thinner, paler and more prone, more vulnerable.

A wave of relief washed Sasuke ashore and just as soon stole it away. Hinata didn't remember what exactly happened before he found her dead.

But sasuke knew that wasn't the case. Any person who had a decent awareness about space would absolutely not dare to probe her unless they had a death wish. Everything about her was fierce, powerful like a bear who woke up from hibernation. She was mighty and just as rightfully hungry.

"What's the last thing you remember?" He loomed over, in case she redid stupid things.

"I- W-we were talking and, and he called and he told me—"

She froze, like a deer.

Like a deer thrown across glaciers.

Sasuke saw it, the way her shriveled lips were wrecked with tremor, the way her untamed stance slouched under the weight of heartbreak, the way her pearly eyes flickered. She lost a few beats before erratically gaining them. Sasuke grabbed the back of her neck to yank her towards him. A niggling conscience restraining most strength so as those shaky fragile lips don't wither and fall.

And just like every other time he brought her back from despair.

This time he wasn't sure how much of himself he could save.

He saw everything, those treacherous blue eyes that spat at her, those reprobate mouths that spoke curses, those censurable teeth that tore layers of her soul; nick by nick, those vile hands slithering through inside her clothes to gnaw at her dignity.

He saw everything through her eyes. Beyond actions, he experienced the perspective of a woman who dedicated all her life to man so disgraceful he would rather have her sold.

How long has it been since he felt this unfiltered wrath?

After he hopped out of her mind somehow amidst the process their forehead touched each other. The hand that was clutching a blanket securely to her thoracic rested on his arm, nails puncturing skin. The blanke slipped and pooled across her torso. It reminded him how she harbored little injuries that bled. She was slouched, tilted and trembling. Her eyes were closed and tears rushed across her stained face.

"He..he doesn't love me anymore, Sasuke." She whispered and he leaned into her as if listening to a hypnotizing hymn. There was probably a lot to say but no fitting words to describe. He let her cry, let her hiccup until she lost her breath.

"Sasuke! Your chakra! " Karin rushed across the corridors with clothes in her hand. She was in her room when the unadulterated bloodlust wafted through panels. It made her drop everything to take a few breaths properly. When deemed herself suited to walk, she ran. Now she wished to have taken more breaths.

What she stumbled seemed so intimate, watching it felt like a crime confession. Karin was no love guru but even she could tell this was special, this was something to treasure.

Sasuke refused to let her go and she refused to fall apart. Condition? He must hold.

She stood there awkwardly digging holes in the floor before the sniffling silence became suffocating- she cleared her throat. In the active presence of Sasuke, when he wasn't preoccupied, Karin was reminded diligently the bloodlust was still stalking under the surface. Her posture stiffened, why was she here?

"I brought clothes." Licking that seemed chapped by being the forceful passway for pending respiration.

Sasuke reprobated any major movements as he held her, careful not to make much distance between them. The lady was still very much being shadowed, accepting her fate to take refuge under him.

To say Hinata was nervous would be severely understated. After all said and done, when she could walk, she begged Sasuke to take to her kids. The pit of her gut grumbled as her hands never ceased to fiddle the sleeves of her top. So many what ifs, regrets floated across her brain, she didn't know who to apologise, who to chide.

The mistake she committed was grave and there was an overwhelming guilt of leaving her kids. Sasuke was silent as he usually would be, however this time it felt more compressing. Like a dare, a challenge to walk upto her kids and meet their eyes and hear them say 'mother' without falling apart.

The Knob twist and turned like the discomfort in her being. The house was eerie, there seemed no sign of kids. Her heartbeat speed up, where were they? Where were they? WHERE ARE MY KIDS?

"Hinata." Her head whipped to look at Sasuke and she could only imagine how pathetic she must have appeared to him. This weakness, this helplessness.

He said nothing- only handed her a paper scribbled in flawless writings, the most knave thing to exist.

Hinata,

The Hokage summoned the kids. I couldn't ditch it since ANBU didn't give us a choice. I'll be with them no matter what. You do owe me Hella explanations though.

Loveeee,

Your favorite sister.

Sasuke was fast, inhumane in speed and over time the statement became more of a fact. His sharingan, no matter how crooked, will catch any moments faster than light itself. He has caught numerous people over time, propelled them into captivity within a fraction of a blink. Moreover his extensive experience in the battlefield always landed him predictions that were too accurate.

Yet he failed to predict, even consider a scenario where she would sprint across rooftops with a speed that could give him a tough time.

It took 3 seconds to comprehend the situation which was more than enough for her to leap into the sky, already yards away. On autopilot he followed the hard to miss, hard to catch woman who apparently gave no fucks to anyone or anything.

Vaulting rooftops that got higher and irate ANBU who were on alert she portrayed no intentions to stop. Sasuke followed close just to make sure no one stopped her either.

Byakugan flaring, like a tigress morphed anthropophagus she infiltrated the Hokage chambers. Every passing person had eerie paranoia on their faces, goosebumps on their being and clawing fear on the back of their mind as she moved across them, uncaring.

Sasuke made it just in time to witness a split second of disbelief on Nanadaime's face that swayed painfully to his right and a fresh echo of nimble fingers slapping a whiskered cheek.

Ah yes the revenge arc.

We love a fierce Hinata don't we?

I have my thoughts on Karin but honestly I firmly believe Team Taka deserves more. They were with Sasuke through his worst years, nothing fancy like team 7 but definitely a more homely atmosphere. I would love to see them rekindling again.
