Chapter 3: The Disappointed and the Blind Prodigies

Two years had passed, and the sword and shield of the Fire Daimyo, was still Naruto Namikaze. The one that got the nickname, The Untouchable Under the Skies. Facing many challenges, both friendly and to defend the honor of his lord. He won all without suffering a scratch.

Yujiro and Naruto became close friends, with Naruto serving as his advisor and even he was granted with enough trust to be the voice and representative of the Fire Daimyo when Yujiro couldn't travel.

Right now, Naruto was walking across the streets of the capital, he thought of something Yujiro told him. To take an apprentice.

According to the daimyo, he should prepare a new generation to serve the fire nation. While shinobis are still useful for the nation, Yujiro believes that Samurai are a better option for civilian cities.

He stopped when he saw a young kid starring at Musamane. "You are a samurai?" He asked with a bored tone and Naruto nodded.

"That I am. Why?"

The kid looked at him with death eyes "Fight me."

"Musashi!" A man rushed to the kid, probably the father "What have I told you of running away like that! I am so sorry Sir." He apologized to Naruto who laughed.

"Don't worry." He turned to Musashi "Say, why did you want to fight me?"

Musashi shrugged "I want to see if you can beat me."

The father seemed to be having a panic attack, knowing who Naruto is. "Musashi, apologize at once, please."

Naruto placed a calming hand on the man's shoulder "Maybe we can talk this over a nice cup of tea."

And like that, Naruto met Masahiro Miyamoto and his son, Musashi Miyamoto.

"You see, Naruto-Sama; Musashi 4 years ago, found a corpse with a broken sword. And from then, he learned to wield that sword with a great technique. A wakizashi you see. And then... no one could fight him." Masahiro explained and Naruto nodded.

"I see... so Musashi, you want to see if you can beat me?" Musashi nodded "I am considered the best Samurai in the Fire Nation and one of the best in the Land of Iron, are you sure?" Another nod.

Naruto smiled "Very well then. Let's go."

Masahiro lost the color of his face "Pardon?"

Naruto smiled "I just want to see something."

*Dojo*

In the only dojo for sword fight in the city, Musashi had a wooden sword as Naruto was disarmed. Musashi raised an eye-brow "And your weapon?"

Naruto smiled "It won't be needed."

Musashi sighed "How boring."

He went at a high speed towards Naruto and Naruto hummed. Musashi cut the air as Naruto ducked, and with his palm, knocked the wooden sword out of Musashi's hand, as he caught it.

Musashi's eyes widen as he turned around and had the sword pointed to his neck. "It was a good movement. Your foot play and speed were impressive. Any lesser opponent would have fallen to it." Naruto praised as Musashi smiled.

"You won..."

Naruto nodded "It seems like I did."

Masahiro went running to Musashi who was still grinning "Musashi! Are you okay!?"

"Can you train me?" Musashi ignored his father and Naruto smiled.

"If your father is okay with it."

Musashi turned smiling to Masahiro. A smile he hasn't seen in years. His son is happy. Happy again...

"Please, come and visit from time to time."

*Weeks Later*

Musashi fell to the floor as he panted "Master; why do I have to learn hand to hand?"

Naruto lowered his stance and smiled "If you lose your sword, you must know how to defend yourself."

Musashi groaned as he sat back up "I won't lose Hiro or Naga. I find this pointless."

"Because you are young, Musashi. When the time comes, you will understand. But for now, we will call it a day." Naruto said "I have a meeting with the commander of the Military Police. Why don't you go visit your family?"

Musashi nodded "Sure. Good luck in there. I rather die than to go." He said and Naruto chuckled.

"We will work on your patience then."

As Naruto arrived to the meeting place, he saw that waiting there was Iori Okita, and next to him, his child, Soji Okita.

"Naruto-Sama, thanks for accepting this meeting."

Naruto nodded "Don't worry about that. Now, what is the reason you called me?"

Iori, a stern looking man, with wrinkles on his face and short, slicked back hair nodded "You see; Soji claims to see the world, and as you might know, he is blind. But I had heard stories from the Land of Iron that some Samurai can see the world in a different way." He explained and Naruto nodded.

"I met two person who claimed that. Seigen Toda and Nobutsuna Kamiizumi. Both said the can see differently from our eyes, seeing the world-"

"Transparent." Soji interrupted grinning. "I do too! I can see your brain, heart, and stuff like that!"

"Soji! Remain silent and let him finish his explanation!" Iori scolded and Naruto chuckled.

"What he said is right, Iori-Sama." Naruto said "The Transparent World as I was told, let people see only the inner parts of people and perceive the world in slow motions. But... I never encountered that on someone already blind. Both Toda-Sensei and Kamiizumi-Sensei could see and only used it from time to time due that it caused dizziness, headaches, and they said that prolonged use of it can cause pain and even illness."

Iori nodded "Soji suffers from this. He usually has headaches and takes a lot of medication because he gets ill really frequently."

Soji smiled "Say, Naruto-Sama; if I train to control this transparent world thing, will I get better in my health?"

Naruto hummed "Probably. Maybe if you learn how to limit your use of the Transparent World, it will reduce the amount of stress in your body and by consequence, reduce the time you stay sick, Soji-Kun."

Iori nodded "Thank you for this information, Naruto-Sama. I will schedule a trip to the Land of Iron to find one of this two people to help Soji."

Naruto hummed "May I suggest an easier solution, Iori-Sama?" Iori nodded "Let me train Soji-Kun. Last time I heard, Toda-Sensei retired and you will have more luck finding a needle in a desert than finding Kamiizumi-Sensei."

Iori frowned "I thought you already took a disciple."

"That I did. But the Transparent World is such a double-edged weapon, that it will either be his greatest ally, or the cause of his death." Naruto explained and Iori nodded as he closed his eyes.

"I see... well then; I will leave his training in your hands, Naruto-Sama."

Soji grinned "So; will I learn to be a Samurai too!?"

Naruto laughed at his enthusiasms. "That you will."

*Next Day*

"Master; who is this?" Musashi asked glaring at the blind kid who was learning katas.

Naruto smiled "Musashi, meet Soji Okita. He will be training with you starting today. Soji, meet Musashi Miyamoto. He is your senior here."

Soji stopped doing the kata and went to Musashi "Hey there, I'm Soji. Don't feel bad when you are behind me in the training." he grinned and Musashi glared at him.

"You just started. Besides, how will you fight if you can't even see."

"Maybe, but I can see you clear as water. In that note, you don't look so strong."

"You are lanky as a twig and look sickly, what are you talking about?"

Naruto chopped them both on the head "Seeing you have so much energy, let's make this an extra-long, extra-hard training session so both of you can know each other better."

"Yes Master." Both said and Naruto smiled. He knows, that they will become stronger fighters and better humans from each other.
