The best way for Bell Cranel to wake up was to be greeted by the beautiful face of his loved one...even if she was still asleep. He had sworn to never look at another woman with so much love or to sleep in the same bed with one. But the face that greeted him this morning, wasn´t Ryu´s. It was someone with short hair, not even reaching the shoulders...and much younger than his wife. She lied snuggled up to Bell, her head resting on her own pillow, her lef arm around Bell´s stomach. Bell had his hand on her back...while Ryu had turned to the side and hugged the other female from behind.
Hah...when did we sleep together like this the last time?
Bell was truly happy.
Carefully he raised his right hand and gently carressed the cheek of the girl that was sleeping between him and Ryu with his index finger.
"Ardi..."
"Mmmnh...hnmmmh."
"Wake up, sweety."
He noticed in the corner of his eye, that Ryu´s ear twitched as she woke up and heard Bell´s gentle whispers. His beloved wife always had fine senses, but ever since the day that the young girl came into their lives, they had only sharpened.
Bell chuckled slightly, moved his left hand up to gently stroke Ryu´s hair, he noticed that she smiled while she woke up.
He leaned his head slightly forward and kissed the girl´s forehead.
"Ardi, your sisters will be here soon."
"Mmmnh...Pa...pa?"

Bell loved it when his daughter was so sleepy, since it was rare that she called him Papa, most of the times she called him Father. He saw her blinking as she woke up, the bedhair on her head was really cute. She tended to have more of this than Ryu, since Ardi´s hair was shorter.
The mention of her little sisters helped Ardi to wake up. It would be a bit embarrassing for a thirteen years old girl be seen by her seven years old sisters, sleeping in the bed of her parents.
But why was Ardi sleeping in this bed in the first place?
The reason was the last night. There was a big thunderstorm over Orario and Ardi easily got scared by these sounds. Bell was only halfway awake when the door to their bedroom had opened.
"Papa, Mama...can I...sleep here?"
Bell and Ryu didn´t opened their eyes, they heard who it was. Ryu rolled away from Bell to make room, Bell just lifted up his blanket a bit. Ardi carefully climbed over her father and lied down between her parents, snuggling up to him, while Ryu rolled back and gently hugged her daughter from behind.
There was a reason why Ardi didn´t clung to her mother, in the past she always had to sleep next to Bell when there was a thunderstorm, since Ryu wouldn´t be in the same bed. Ryu would go over to Astrea´s room and slept next to her goddess. Astrea also was afraid of thunder, it reminded her of the sounds of explosions back in the dark times.
Ryu didn´t complained that her scared goddess clung to her, even used her like a living body pillow...like Alise had done in the past.
Now Astrea didn´t needed Ryu´s presence next to her anymore to not get scared. There were other people for that, for example Syrina and Ilyria. The twins really loved thunderstorms, the sight of lightning and the immense thunder claps, both always got really excited about it.
For them, Astrea was their beloved grandmother, they mostly called her "Granny Astrea". The presence of her beloved grandchildren calmed Astrea down very much. And for one year now..there was someone else to calm Astrea down, Ganesha. It had become a common sight that the god Ganesha was at the Heart Mansion, since the two gods were deeply in love.
According to Astrea, Ganesha was really handsome without his mask, but the others never had seen him without it. Sometimes Astrea slept at his home, but it was the other way around most of the time.
Which was also a benefit for the twins, they just had to sit at their window and look up to the sky with shining eyes, squeaking happy whenever a mighty bolt of lightning rent the sky.

Ardi staggered sleepily to the door, hugging her pillow to her chest.
"*Yaawn*"
Ryu sat up in bed and swayed lightly, looking as sleepy as their daughter. While she had less bedhair than Ardi...the few short strains that stuck out from her head...Bell loved it.
"Hah...to be greeted by such a sight...what a lucky man I am."
Bell couldn´t decide if his daughter or his wife was more adorable. Ryu mumbled slightly, Bell couldn´t resist to give her a good morning kiss while she still had her eyes closed...which she did on purpose so he would do exactly that.
"Ryu, I love you."
"Mmnh...love you..."
"Do you know how happy I am, that my wife is such a beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, lovely elf?"
"Hehe...I know, you say that every day at least once."
"Hmm..so not often enough."
"I am also very happy, that my husband is such a handsome, strong adventurer."
Both kissed again, Ryu had changed compared to the past, when they were alone, she openly flirted with Bell as much as he did with her...and why shouldn´t she?
They might have cuddled for a while longer, but the stomping of little feet woke them up completely. Instead of just pushing their door open, two fists knocked loud. It was actually Bell who teached his children to not just walk into a room, but wait after knocking.
"Come in."
And that was the end of the polite behaviour, the door got pushed open with much energy and the twins came running in instantly, jumping onto their parents´ bed.
""Mama! Papa! Good morning!""
Ryu and Bell each managed to catch one of their daughters in their arms.
""Good morning.""
The twins squeaked happy when their parents kissed their foreheads. Both were always filled with energy.
"Did you see the lightning last night? Sooo much!"
"It was sooo loud! Granny Astrea shivered all the time!"
The eyes of the two shone, they had changed a bit. Both had bombarded their parents and Astrea to get permission to receive Astrea´s blessing. While the goddess would happily agree her grandchildrens´ request, it was up to their parents to decide.
At first Bell and Ryu wanted to wait until the twins turned ten, like they did with Ardi. But Ardi also asked them for permission for the twins..partly because her sisters had asked her for support with puppy eyes...and Ardi loved her little sisters.
So on their seventh´ birthday, the twins had received Astrea´s blessing.
Some people changed a bit when they got the blessing, but what happened with the twins surprised Bell and Ryu very much. The blessing was the magic of the gods after all and magic could have some strange effects. Syrina and Ilyria had decided with rock-paper-scissors who would go first and Ilyria won.
Syrina held her sister´s hands while Astrea did her work. Ilyria had closed her eyes and squeaked lightly, the feeling was unknown to her. Syrina was the same, but both laughed happy when Astrea was finished, leaving the goddess buffled when they looked at her. Ryu and Bell also reacted in a similar way.
The eyecolor of the twins had changed. Before, each of them had one blue and one red eye, now their red eyes were...silver. Of course their parents were confused about that and just to be save, went to the hospital with their children. Amid examined both, but they could see as well as before, it was just a change of color.
Since it was unusual for elves to have such an eyecolor, Amid asked Bell if silver eyes maybe had appeared in his family.
This question triggered a memory in Bell, his grandfather had told him in the past, that his mother and aunt were both very beautiful, and each of them had heterochromatic eyes like the twins, each with a silver eye.
Every now and then, Astrea would update the status of the twins, of course both didn´t received any form of combat training at their age. But due to them playing and running around much, their dexterity and stamina would sometimes grow by a single point in just one week!
Which meant...both had more and more energy to spare over the day. When they had a day off, Syr, Hestia or Astrea took care of the twins...and all of them noticed just how much more energy the twins got to spare over time.
And something else was special about the sisters. With the blessing of Astrea, both received magic right from the start, but it was always grey, which meant they couldn´t use the magic. They had the spell but not the mental strength for it.
What made it even more special, both had the similar magic spells. Syrina´s was called "Lightning Bolt" and Ilyria´s "Thunder Bolt".
The effect of both was pretty similar, but Ilyria´s was more an aimed soundwave, that just had a bit lightning in it.
Due to that, both would later be known as the "Thunder Twins".
And like their father´s magic, it was a short chant magic.

Bell and Ryu took their time to cuddle with their daughters for a while, before they got up from the bed. Right when they wanted to go to the bathroom, Ardi came out of her room.
"Mother, Father, good morning. Syri, Ily, good morning."
""Morning Ardi!""
Ardi´s "act" that she just came out of her room and definetely didn´t slept in her parents bed was good enough to fool her little sisters, Bell and Ryu chuckled quietly.
"Good morning, sweety."
"Good morning, princess."
"Mou...Dad..."
Bell wasn´t only good in making his wife surprised and flustered.

There was one thing that would never change for him...a part of him would always see his daughters as the small girls they once were. He didn´t knew it now, but at the time that Ardi was twenty years old, the big calamity would come over Orario.
It would be the fight of the millenium, where Ais and Bell would become true heroes together, and defeat the black dragon king. Ardi was already a strong warrior of coming close to level four at this point and even her little sisters had started to go into the dungeon. Ardi wanted to fight together with her father, wanted to protect Orario.
But Bell wouldn´t let her, he would beg her with tears in his eyes to take shelter in Babel, together with her sisters and all the non combatants of the Familia...also to protect her heavily pregnant mother, who would carry her fifth and last child inside her at this point. Aluise Lyon.
"Father, I can fight! I want to fight with you!"
Bell would place both of his hands on her shoulders, the last time he ever was able to do that with his left arm, after the fight he would have a silver arm there.
"Ardi, I know that you are strong and brave...but you need to protect the others. I can´t fight when I will be worried about you."
"You don´t need to worry ab-"
He didn´t let her finish her sentence, Bell pulled his daughter into a tight hug.
"I will always worry about you, Ardi! Please...do me this favor."
But it was still a long time to this point and his family would survive the fight.

"So, what do you want for breakfast?"
Bell burned the image in front of his eyes into his mind...like he had done more than one time already. Ryu was standing in the kitchen, wearing an apron and tying her hair up in a ponytail so it wouldn't get in the way of her cooking. The sight of Ryu wearing an apron...with a ponytail...the glimpse to her bare nape...magical.
After telling their mother their wishes, the twins ran off to greet Haruhime and her daughter, who had the same age as the twins and they were good friends. Haruhime´s daughter had a more shy nature, but she loved to play with the twins.
Haruhime joined Ryu in the kitchen, together with Mikoto, it was thanks to them and Mia, that Ryu was able to cook now. At first it was important for her to be able to make something nice for Bell, he trained to cook for her sake too. Later she would learn even more to be able to cook for her children.
Ryu´s daily life was much more of a mother than an adventurer. Only rarely she got inside the dungeon, but would a bit more in the future.
In two years, Ardi would turn fifteen and finish her training with Ais, they would finally allow her to go into the dungeon. But only when Ryu, Bell or someone from the Familia accompanied her. Even if they let her fight alone...all of them were very protective. It would be the same for all the children of the Familia.
In the later future, there would be a day when Ryu went to the dungeon with all five of her daughters...Ardi would already have a child on her own at this point, since she was twenty years older than her youngest sister, Syr would joke that it was quite the sight, that Ryu was able to fill a dungeon party only with her children. Even when her daughters were half elves, Ryu would be pretty famous among the elves of Orario, for having five children.
Of course it was also thanks to her husband´s never ending love...and sometimes lust...for her.

Breakfast for the Hestia alliance was quite the spectacle, while each of the four Familias weren´t that big, all together had quite a number of people. There was no fixed seating arrangement, children and parents often sat together, but also often enough the children sat all together, like today.
It made her as happy as it made her "sad", but on these days, Hestia also sat together with the children...pouting when the other gods told her that she fitted so well with the children. And it weren´t only the children of her Familia, Miach and Naza had adopted a young chientrope boy, while Takemikazuchi and Mikoto did the same with a boy when they visited the far eastern orphanage one time.
And today would be a really nice day. Ryu had her day off from the pub, Bell took a day off from the dungeon. Ais was in the dungeon with her Familia, so Ardi didn´t had training today. So they decided to have a family day in the city. Often they did that together with Astrea or Hestia, but the later had work today...and Astrea a date with Ganesha.
After walking around the city for a long time, they ended in Bell´s and Ryu´s favorite spot.

And after having their lunch, that Ryu had prepared, the twins showed why they were very similar to their father in another way.
"Chrr..."
"Zzzz..."
"Nnhh..."
Ryu chuckled by the sight before her eyes. Bell´s head was resting on her thighs, he was asleep. Syrina and Ilyria slept snuggled up to their father, each of them having a cheek on Bell´s chest, while his arms were around them.
"Hah...You two take so much after your father."
Ardi had sat down on Ryu´s right side, leaning slightly against her mother.
"Mom?"
"Yes, sweety?"
"I wanted to ask you something."
"Go on."
Ardi fidgeted a bit.
"When...how...did it happen that you got to know Dad? And how...well...I mean...ahm..."
Ryu smiled and put her right arm around her daughter. "That we fell in love?"
"Yes..."
I guess she is at an age where she starts to get curious about love.
"This is a long story, but I guess we have time until they wake up. The first thing that comes to my mind...is Syr."
"Aunty Syr?"
"Yes, without her, Bell and I would have never known each other...probably."
"I like Aunty Syr."
"Hehe, good. She helped to bring you into this world."
"She was present?"
"Yes, she held my hands for the whole time."
Ryu´s ear tips got a bit red when she rememberred how she nearly crushed the poor Syr´s hands. It was no joke to hold the hands of a level six adventurer while she gave birth.
"Was it painful?"
"To give birth? Just a little bit, the midwife was really good. Also...I felt more anticipation than anything... to see you."
"Hm, but back to my question."
"Oh right. I guess it is safe to say, due to Syr I caught a glimpse of him when he came to the pub in the morning. He bowed down in front of Mama Mia and apologized for running away the evening before. I was in the kitchen with Chloe and cleaned some plates."
Ardi saw her mother smiling lovingly as she rememberred the moment. Back then, Bell was just a customer and nothing really special...how the things had changed.
"Then I spoke to him a bit when Ahnya wanted to convince him to bring Syr her purse, which she had forgotten. It was the day of the Monster Philia. But we just spoke a few lines."
Ardi smiled more and more as she listened to her mother and watched how loving Ryu´s expression got...Bell really had a special place in her heart. Until the birth of Ardi, it had actually belonged to him nearly alone.
"The next time I saw him, was when he brought lady Hestia to the pub, she had collapsed from exhaustion."
"Grandma Hestia?"
"Yes, they were attacked by monsters and he protected her with his life."
"Father is so brave!"
"Yes he is."
Bell smiled even more in his sleep for some reason.
"But I really got to know him when he...well...became really daring."
"Daring?"
"He...took my hand...with both hands...just like that."
Ardi clapped her hands over her mouth and blushed heavily, looking down to her father´s face in her mother´s lap...for some reason Bell smiled in his sleep.
"He just took your hand?!"
Ryu smiled abashed. "Yes."
"Before you two had sworn your eternal love to each other under a full moon, in a forest?!"
That was the way that Ryu had described to Ardi, how a couple should marry.
Ardi looked shocked in her father´s face.
"I can´t believe that Dad was such a deliquent back then...forcing his hands onto your´s..."
The young half elf blushed fiercly.
"I-It were special circumstances and he didn´t knew about elven custom."
Ryu continued to tell her daughter about Bell and herself.
"So you went into the dungeon to save father? How romantic."
"I was the one that told him about adventures, it was only the right thing to take responsibility."
But Ryu shocked Ardi when she told her about the fight against the Goliath.
"You spoke father´s first name just like that? Without being in love with him at this point?!"
"I-It was faster to speak than Mr. Cranel..."
Ryu continued, while she gently stroked Bell´s hair. She told Ardi about all the events in Bell´s life, where she was present and played a role. Of course she spared some of the events, like what happened in the hidden hot spring in the dungeon.
Ardi´s eyes shone when Ryu explained to her the situation about the wargame.
"So you saved father, again."
Ryu smiled warmly. "I did, but he saved me multiple times too."
She followed with the explanation of her fight against Ais, to get Bell more time to help the Xenos. Of course Ardi knew about the Xenos, Syrina and Ilyria were dying to meet Wiene and the others, they thought about the Dragon girl like a big sister.
Ryu´s expression changed a bit when she explained to Ardi why she ran into the dungeon to hunt a certain cat man. How it came that the Juggernaut appeared, that Bell jumped willingly into a Lampton to save her, how they fought their way through the 37th Floor.
And that her feelings had finally started to bloom when Bell held her against his chest at the river. Of course Ryu didn´t mentioned the fact that both were half naked.
"So...that was the start of your feelings?"
"Yes, Bell told me it was the same for him."
"Haaah...so you two fell in love with each other at the same time? Truly romantic."
Ryu looked up for a moment and smiled.
"Mother?"
"Ardi, do you know why your father and I love this place so much?"
"It is nice here?"
"It is, but...this place is special."
"How?"
And so Ryu explained to Ardi how she went to search for Astrea and Bell accompanied her. How both confessed their love to each other there, under a full moon. She got a bit red when she explained that both were too shy for the first kiss, so that they waited until valentines day and kissed here on this hill.
"M-M-Mother?!"
"Ardi?"
"You and father k-k-kissed here? Before you two got married?! While you held both hands of the other?! You told me this is something that only married couples are allowed to do! That this is how babies are made!"
Ryu and Bell...didn´t had "the talk" with Ardi so far...
"W-W-We confessed our love to each other before. The ceremony...r-right! Bell did that for me, he wanted it to be real for me."
"But you kissed him before that!"
"We technically had our oath before...even if we didn´t spoke all the words...and there was a full moon!"
Ryu couldn´t tell her daughter that she technically had stolen Bell´s lips even before this date. During the incident with the Xenos, Ryu had sealed Bell´s lips with her index finger, telling him he should just tell her what he needed from her.
After the incident was over and Ryu returned home, she took off her long leather gloves in the usual way, by biting lightly into the tip of the right index finger and pull then. In this moment, she realized that this was the finger she had put on Bell´s lips...
which made this an indirect kiss.
Ryu had squealed in shame and burried her face in her pillow, steam rose up from her head.
"Hah...so you two were deliquents back then..."
"A-Ardi?!"
"No...I can understand...your love is something special."
Mother and daughter continued to talk for a while...until the other three eventually woke up from their nap.
Family time was really precious for them.

And the next day...would be special too. It was the day of the year that was reserved for couples.

Valentines day.

Valentines day was always special for Bell and Ryu, they had kissed for the first time on this day after all. Bell would always take the day off from the dungeon and Ryu from her work. Ahnya, Chloe, Lunor and Syr also had a day off at this date. Only the girls that had no partner would work at the pub on this day and couples couldn´t reserve a table...Mia said seeing flirty couples would only depress her girls on this day.
Ahnya spent the day with her husband, Chloe and Lunor with their boyfriends. While Syr...she was always a bit crazy on this day, no one knew why, but she had calmed a bit down and took care of the children on this day. Spending time with Syrina, Ilyria and Frey...Ahnya´s daughter...Syr loved this day. Being surrounded by children of her beloved friends...they were the very symbol that she represented. She had an especially deep bond with the twins, a bond that went deeper than just liking the other.
It had happened back then when Ilyria and Syrina were still babies and needed to be breastfed. While Bell strolled with Ardi to the guild, Syr visited Ryu to help her look after the twins. Both liked bathing as much as their big sister and it was easier when someone helped Ryu. Syr saw how tired Ryu looked, while she got much help from the others, especially Bell, she always woke up from her naps when her sharp ears noticed even the tiniest noise from her daughters.
Both went into the bath, each carrying one of the sisters.
"Hah...alive again..."
"Ryu, you look so tired."
"I am tired, trust me..."
Ryu leaned back in the water, sighed relaxed and cradled her Ilyria in her arms. The small girl also blinked tired, Syrina who lied in Syr´s arms was more fit. Syr watched how Ryu slowly doze off, sitting in a way that Ilyria couldn´t slip out of her arms.
Hah Ryu...you became so motherly..
"Muh.."
Syrina looked a bit unhappy.
"What is it, my sweety?"
Syr whispered to not wake Ryu up. She noticed the movement of Syrina´s lips...it looked like she was hungry again. And Syr knew how fast a baby could cry when it was hungry.
What do I do now...
She cradled Syrina gently and looked to the sleeping Ryu...who really needed some rest. While she looked at her, Syr didn´t noticed how close Syrina got to a certain spot.
"Au.."
Mh!
Syr looked down...the twins were really like their older sister. Ardi had done the same when she was a baby, Syrina got too close to Syr´s nipple and since she was used to that from Ryu...she instantly started to suck.
Ah...my little one...I´m sorry...but...b...Eh?!
A never known feeling washed through Syr. It shouldn´t be possible for a goddess...but...
Is she...drinking?!
The faint feeling of breastfeeding a child was nothing new to Syr...or rather Freya...it had happened with Ardi after all...but now...it was different. Milk...came out of her breasts...

Syrina moved her tiny hand to get a better hold and touched Syr´s other breast like that...a small drop appeared on that nipple too. The feeling was incredible, Freya had always wished to experience at least once how that really felt.
Maybe it had something to do with her being a goddess of fertility. The rule was, nothing dirty could ever come out of the body of a god...but this wasn´t dirty...it was the most natural thing to happen.

Syr looked up from Syrina´s small head, who drank as much as she wanted.
"Ryu...what is...happening...to me?"
Ryu was as perlexed as Syr, she knew that Syr couldn´t get pregnant...Freya told her that it had something to do with her body.
"Syr...are you..."
"Yes..."
Both were stunned, then Ilyria squeaked on her own, demanding to be fed by her mother. Ryu followed the noise and moved her to her breast. Meanwhile, Syrina was finished with the first breast and squeaked again.
"Ryu...I..."
Ryu smiled motherly...she could only imagine how much this feeling surprised Syr. And she didn´t really had a problem with it.
"Go on."
Carefully and in the same way that she had seen Ryu doing it, Syr moved Syrina around and allowed her to continue. She never had thought that the day might come, that she was able to do that. Freya knew that the twins and Ardi had tried this even with Astrea, but nothing had happened of course.
It was the first day that Syr helped Ryu like that...and not the last.
Freya didn´t said a word after she returned home, what happened had shaken her to the core.
Is this...happiness?
It also seemed like Syr´s body regenerated in this special way even faster than Ryu´s. So whenever she visited...which she did even more often now...and Ryu fell asleep, Syr would take care of the twins in this way when they got hungry, only with Ryu´s permission of course.
Later, even Bell got to know it, after Ryu told him. They loved Syr for how much she helped them and Bell didn´t had a problem with her doing it, it was a big help and Syr deserved to experience this small happiness.
Freya wondered if it would somehow affect the twins, to get breastfed by a goddess.
But no, it wouldn´t.

A lot had changed for Bell and Ryu over the years, Ardi was thirteen years old, so both were a couple for about sixteen years now. At first very shy and reserved, both had become more open with their feelings over time...and their love. While they still didn´t flirted and kissed in front of others...well kissing in front of their daughters was okay...both became more open when they were alone.
It may have beedn thanks to a certain, grey-haired woman...who gifted Ryu something to her birthday, five years ago when she came to the pub in the morning, about one year after the birth of the twins. It was a book, called "The art of lovemaking. Elven edition.". Ryu got deep red and stuttered when she saw this book, hiding it before the others could see what Syr gifted her.
"S-S-Syr! What is this?!"
Syr whispered for a while into Ryu´s ear, that this was a secret book, about how elves showed her love to their significant other...of course she didn´t told her that this book was originally made by dark elves, who were more open with their sexuality than forest elves...they would never write such a book! But thankfully, Ryu´s common sense was still a bit off and she left her homeforest when she was still young.
Not that there was anything really naughty in this book, just some things that would make feel Ryu or Bell really good...let them feel lots of love from the other. At first she thought about this book as shameful and filthy...but after a while...she dared to peek into it. The truth was, in the past, Ryu´s sexual desires weren´t that big...but when she got a bit older...a true adult for her people...it changed a bit.
When she finally brought herself to show Bell this book, she hid her red face behind her hands...which didn't help as her ears were red as well.
Bell was really surprised about this book...but he actually liked it...and Ryu saw that.

It was a good thing that Syr also gifted her a magic item, that would muffle all the sounds from coming out of their room. This magic item was created for secret talks...but the pleasure quarter got to know it...and found another way to use it.
