Naruto was determined to make each date special and it started with his date with Tenten. Admittedly he knew very little about Tenten's life between when she was adopted and their fateful reunion when he brought his first sword, but what he did know is the perfect place to start their date. To that end he was headed over to the Hokage's Office in order to gather information. Luckily for him it was the afternoon, so all the teams should've completed their missions for the day already. Seeing the smiling face of the older woman who acted as his secretary Naruto simply asked, "Is Lord Hokage in?"
"Yes he is, and it appears he was right to expect you." the secretary replied.
"Expecting me?" Naruto said curiously. Why would the Hokage expect him.
"Yes. He said that if you were to stop by in the afternoon to let him in, but that you knock first."
"Got it" Naruto replied before walking by. Knocking on the door calmly, he waited for his leader's words.
"Come in" the Hokage said calmly and Naruto walked in. As he did the Old Kage smiled. "So, what brings you to my office Naruto."
"After I left, what happened to the orphanage I was staying at. I know Uncle Genma, Sensei, and Itachi were pretty mad at the old lady who ran It, but I don't know anything else." Naruto wondered.
"It's been under new management since about a month after you left. The Old Lady was running errands late at night and was attacked by somebody who killed her on the spot. There were no witnesses and to this day nobody knows what happened to her." The Hokage replied with a calm face. The truth was she was killed by Itachi who was furious about how she treated Naruto. The Hokage of course knew, but admittedly couldn't see anything wrong with it considering he was planning to have her executed anyway.
"I see" Naruto said calmly. He'd be willing to bet that Itachi or his sensei did something about it and never told him. Oh well there was nothing he could do now.
"Bringing Ms Tenten back to the orphanage isn't exactly a great place for your first date." The Hokage smiled causing Naruto to twitch.
"I don't even want to know how you figured that out, but it's actually the perfect spot since outside of sparing there isn't much we could do together." Naruto shrugged. Tenten wasn't very girlie and while he fully suspected that she would be okay with a spar, he wanted something cooler than that.
"Well I'm pretty sure you can visit and play with the kids who are there. The person running it should have zero problem with you."
"Considering my status that's a surprise." Naruto replied flatly.
"Let's just say she's somebody who knows how incredible you really are." The Hokage smiled.
"Well in that case I need to get ready." Naruto smiled his plan for the day set.
"Alright." The Hokage replied before Naruto vanished via a shunshin.

Naruto was by no means conventional, but he was pretty sure Tenten would be floored by what he had planned as he approached the weapon shop that served as Tenten's home. Naruto was wearing the orange jumpsuit that he wore back during his time at the orphanage (AKA his canon outfit). When he knocked on the door, he waited patiently wondering what Tenten's reaction would be. 'Here we go' Naruto thought to himself but when the door opened, it was Naruto who was admittedly caught off guard.
"Looks like you and I had the same idea, Naruto." Tenten smiled. Her outfit consisted of a rose top with gold trim that was tied down the middle with gold ribbons instead of the typical buttons. Finishing the outfit was a pair of dark blue pants and ninja sandals. It was a surprising choice since much like Naruto Tenten, chose the outfit she wore during their time as children at the orphanage.
"I guess so" Naruto smiled back. This would make their trip down memory lane so much better.
"So where are we going for our date." Tenten wondered as they walked together with Tenten's left arm linked with Naruto's right.
"Ironically enough, the orphanage. I figured that we'd go back to our roots since the only things you enjoy are weapons and me." Naruto smirked.
Tenten chuckled slightly because that was true but there was one problem with his plan, "What about the old lady. Won't she be angry to see you." Tenten wondered with intrigue.
"Apparently they're under new management." Naruto explained.
"What happened?" Tenten wondered.
"Somebody attacked her a month after I left." Naruto replied.
"I see" Tenten said whimsically. She'd have to talk to Yuugao about that later since she was pretty sure that wasn't a coincidence. For now, she was going to enjoy her date.
"Well let's go" Naruto said calmly.

Naruto would be lying if he said he missed the orphanage. The way he was treated was cruel and unusual and his only relief was his time with Tenten, "Penny for your thoughts Naruto?" Tenten asked curiously as they approached the orphanage for the first time in years.
"This place sucked for me and the only good part was our relationship. When you left it was hell until I got adopted." Naruto recalled with great distaste. The crappy food and the bullying drove him nuts.

Naruto smiled before calling out, "Give them a break Nozomi, they are just kids." Naruto shouted as the female voice turned towards them revealing a person with fair skin, dark red eyes and spiky orange hair with a pair of sunglasses on top of her hair. She was wearing a maroon long sleeved shirt below an orange vest with blue jeans and a pair of sneakers.
The now named Nozomi turned towards Naruto and smiled, "Hey Naru long time no see, and is that little Tenten."
"Yes it is, and I can't believe you're running the place." Tenten smiled. Nozomi was the niece of the old lady who used to run the store but unlike her aunt, Nozomi liked Naruto and helped him out.
"Yeah and I can't believe Naru here decided to come back peacefully. Considering how Auntie used to treat him I figured the next time you'd be here is to burn it with some fire jutsu." Nozomi chuckled.
"Well no. It's kinda me and Tenten's first date and I figured I'd remind her of the good old days." Naruto admitted bashfully. He'd be lying if he said he didn't think about burning the orphanage a few times though.

"Are you sure" Nozomi wondered.

As they arrived back Naruto let go of Tenten's hand and walked over to his closet tossing his shoes to the side planning to take off his tracksuit next.
"Naruto what's going on." Tenten said nervously as she got out of her shoes. As they walked to the orphanage it was hard to miss the looks of anger and hatred on the faces of the villagers and more than a few people whispered demon which was strange to Tenten.
"I guess it's time to tell you the truth." Naruto frowned before reaching for the zipper on his jumpsuit and undoing it to Tenten's shock revealing his stomach clear of any markings.

"My dad's shop" Tenten gasped. Unlike Hinata and Yakumo who had their clans to back them up, she only had her father's business. It wouldn't be tough for a mob to attack the business if they noticed she was with him.

That's it for Tenten's special chapter and I hope you liked it. This was trickier to right than I care for, but I wanted to show that things weren't going to be easy because of the unique situation that Naruto and Tenten have since both were orphans. As for the fox, the girls knew he was the son of the Fourth, but they didn't know about the fox (at least I don't remember doing so). Anywho next chapter is Hinata and that'll be fun in its own way.
