Emma shook her head as she watched Kyle saunter around the green. That buck was...ridiculous. The exact opposite of her, in fact. He was everything she wasn't. Joking, making light of serious topics, self-centered…he tired her. Immensely. No matter how many times she tried to show kindness to him, she always ended up huffing in annoyance. And she was a very patient doe, so that was saying something. All he cared about was himself and those "incredible" stories he liked to tell everyone. Thankfully no one believed them, or the world would be in trouble.
If, she thought, if she was ever able to talk to him without his spouting riddles and tall-tales, it would be either a miracle or the end of the world. That'll be the day.
