Catching up with Ziva, she grabbed Alex by the arm and pulled her along. She led her to the others with a grin on her face. "Come, let me introduce you to the team." She gestured to Tim and Tony sitting on the bench. "Those are Timothy and Tony." She leaned in closer, lowering her voice. "Tony is fine, just too much of a flirt."
Alex chuckled, don't she know it. "No worries there, he is actually not my type."
"What?" Tony turned towards the new girl gapping like a fish out of water. "I am everyone's type."
"Sorry handsome, not mine." Alex didn't think anyone could look so offended. "I like my men more than a pretty face." Wait he just did.
"Anyway, the man standing by the grill is Gibbs and his partner Lisa." Ziva's tone changed at mentioning Lisa's name. Guess she didn't like her either. "Guys this is Alex, Matt's sister."
"Nice to meet you all." Alex's eyes fell on Gibbs, who in return was staring at her with an off look. "So how did you all meet Matt?" She needed to draw her attention away from him.
"Well, actually the guy I am seeing knows him." Ziva replied.
"The guy we are still to meet." Tony teased. "You know I am starting to think it's all just a tale?"
"Tail?" Ziva frowned. "How would it all be a tail? It's not an animal."
"He means a story, something fake." Alex chuckled. "It's spelled different, but sounds the same."
She turned a heated glare at Tony. "It is not a tale. He should be-" A large grin appeared on her face. "Right there." She tried playing it cool, but as she got closer to him, she bolted into his arms.
Alex kept her eyes on Tony, seeing his face go from smug to 'oh shit' real quick. Alex leaned closer to Matt, whispering. "How do you know Eyal."
"He is one of us." Matt whispered back. "Met him when I was coming back with Hotchner."
'What?!' Alex watched Eyal greet Ziva with a passionate kiss. 'Dude is a wolf?!'
"Alex this is Eyal." Ziva was currently tucked into the side of Eyal, quite happily.
Alex was still in shock. How in the hell did she not know this! Matt nudged nudge her, pulling her out of her thoughts. "Forgive me, it's nice to meet you Eyal." Alex held her hand out for him.
She didn't miss his eyes flicker to her neck, before accepting the handshake. "Pleasure is all mine."
"Come, let me introduce you to the others." Ziva said, pulling himself towards the team.
The look of pure jealousy on Tony was priceless.
"How did you find out?" Alex kept her gaze on the newly found wolf. "He gave no indication of being or knowing about wolves."
They stayed a few feet away from the others, Matt leaned against the tree, picking the barb off the tree trunk. "You know we can't tell if someone is a wolf or not." Matt replied. "I found out when he shifted in front of me. He helped Hotchner with rescuing Me."
Alex growled, leaning her head back against a tree. "Can I not meet someone that isn't a wolf? I mean it's hard enough hiding what I am to the team, but there is also Elston, you, Nathan and his pack, and now Eyal. Who is now dating Ziva."
Matt threw the twig in his hand at her. "You are talking as if you were ashamed at what we are."
"No, of course not Matt." Running a hand through her hair, she turned her head to the side. "Just saying a lot is happening too quickly. I am not done with one thing when three more show up."
"Look, whatever comes just know you have all of us." Matt reached for her hand, giving her Palm a kiss. "We are pack. The water may be sweet."
"But blood is thicker." We created that saying as children. In other words, family/pack will always come first.
Leaning back, he bit his lower lip. Not sure if now was a good time. "But you might want to get used to seeing new wolves around. Word is getting around about your mating with Nathan." Seeing the look of death she sent him, he quickly told her it wasn't his big mouth. At least not this time. "I don't know how they found out, my guess one of his pack mates spilled their guts."
"Why though? Everyone mates, it's nothing special." Catching movement by the corner of her eye, Alex looked up to find Gibbs watching her again. This time he offered her a small smile. Returning the smile and successfully hiding her blush, she turned back to a smirking Matt. "Wipe that grin off your face and tell me why?"
"How is it that I know more about your mate than you. Who may I add will be your baby daddy." Matt crossed his arms, raising one of his brows. "Explain that."
"Okay first, never say baby daddy again." Alex hated that term always made her feel nauseous. "Second, I just found out he was my mate. And just when we were going to really get to know each other, you cocked blocked him."
Matt gagged, raising a hand to stop her from talking. "TMI sister!"
"Well unless you want me to tell you just how good he felt, start explaining." Alex smirked, knowing just how squeamish Matt can be.
"Alright, alright. I can only say he is rather important to the clans." Matt sighed. "I don't know why, but wherever you mention him, wolves coward. With the exception of Hotchner and Eyal."
"But why wou-"
Tony suddenly appeared, draping an arm around her shoulders. "You two plan on staying here all cookout?" Giving Alex a once over, his eyes filled with lust. "Come on, food is ready. I saved you a plate."
Shrugging him off, she moved to stand beside Matt. "Great let's go." Tony gave her a hurt/confused look but lead the way. Making sure he was out of hearing range, she leaned over to Matt. "I swear he touches me again, I will rip his arm off."
Matt laughed, draping his arm over her shoulder, knowing very well that would annoy her. "Now, now sister, you know he is only playing with you." Matt got closer, whispering into her ear. "We all know who he is truly interested in."
He wasn't wrong. Eyal and Ziva were currently stuck to the hip. Ziva feeding him a chip, as he talked with Tim. Tony glaring at them, while holding the plate of meat. Eyal noticing the scary glares pulled Ziva into a kiss. 'Now that is just mean.' Tony was looking more and more like a tomato ready to explode.
"Is Eyal looking for something serious with Ziva?" Alex may be outmatched with Eyal, but she was not about to let anyone hurt her packmate. Didn't give two shits who it was.
"If you fear he will find his mate and leave her, don't worry he no longer has her." Matt's voice softens. "He lost her a few years back, in a fight with another pack. Her and their three pups."
Losing a mate was bad enough, but your children at the same time were unbearable. The fact that he was laughing, loving, and living spoke a lot. Many would have simply ended their lives or laid down to die. Alex had seen many deliberately walk up to hunters, looking to get killed.
"How did he survive that? What about the other mate?"
Matt shrugged. "When I asked him, he simply said he didn't have one. I don't know how he pushed through that, but I guarantee you that Ziva is perfectly fine with him." Grabbing her arm, he tugged her forward. "Now come on, looks like Tony is hogging all the food."
Following him towards the team, Alex took a seat beside Ziva, looking up she met the gaze of none other than Gibbs. 'Fuck me.'
'Patience my little wolf, soon enough.'
Alex froze, her eyes darting from side to side. 'Nathan?'
'Hello love.'
'How the hell are you in my head? You aren't here?'
'The bite has its perks.' His chuckle echoed in her head. 'Now should you ever need me, just call out.'
"Alex!"
Alex growled ready to snap at Matt when she noticed all eyes on her. "Sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts."
Gibbs handed her the plate of meat. "Here, grab some before Dinozzo finishes it all."
"Thank you." Passing the plate to Ziva, she looked up to see Gibbs staring at her again. "Yes?"
"Sorry, it's just-what happened?" He asked.
"Where?"
"Between your shoulder and neck." He made a move to reach over, stopping halfway. "Looks like a bite."
"Oh, that. Yeah, my ma-boyfriend has a thing for biting." God this was so embarrassing. Alex growled upon hearing Matt laughing. She needed to change the subject. "So you guys work for NCIS."
"Yes. Although at the moment we are missing someone to complete the team ." Tim said.
"Oh, who?"
"She is our K-9 Luna." Gibbs replied. "We haven't seen her all day."
"She's been staying with me." Ziva added. "Usually she comes back from her outings, but nothing since last night."
"I am sure she is fine Neshama." Eyal locked eyes with Alex, kissing Ziva's hand in reassurance. "She is a wolf after all, pretty sure she can handle herself."
"Didn't you mention something about her heat coming?" Matt asked, popping a grape into his mouth. "Maybe she's out looking for a good time."
'I am going to shave all your hair off!' Matt ignored her, making sure to not look her way.
"Could be." Tony shrugged. "The vet did say she needed to get laid."
'Note to self, bite Tony in the ass.'
And then she had to open her mouth. "Or she just left, she is a wild animal after all. To her, you were just the ones to feed and house her. When she's hungry, she'll come back."
'Feeling pretty hungry right now.' Alex felt her anger begin to rise. Underneath the table, she held her hands in a fist.
'Calm yourself, Alex.' Nathan's voice appeared once more. 'Just an ignorant human. Take a deep breath and relax.'
Doing as told, she inhaled deeply and exhaled. Feeling Matt and Eyal relax as soon as she did. "Actually wolves are very loyal animals. They create bonds with those that care and love them. From what Eyal had told Matt about this wolf, I'd say you have become her pack."
Lisa opened her mouth, only to be stopped by
Gibbs. "I don't think pack would be the right term here. She did attempt to attack me."
Oh, you want to go there? Okay. "I have studied wolves for the majority of my life. Lived near them. Did you do anything to her?"
"He threw her into a kennel." Ziva stared at him, daring him to deny it. "Then left her there when we left for a case."
Gibbs sighed, running a hand down his face. "Yes I did and I told her I was sorry. Not that she could understand me."
"They actually can." That got all eyes on her. Eyal and Matt frozen scared she might spill something. "If you really meant it, she would have sensed your honesty. They read your body language and go by scent as well." Once again she felt Matt and Eyal relax. Seriously, men. "As for the attack, it depends on where she sees herself in the pack and you guys. Discipline is a very important thing in a pack. Maybe she felt you needed to be taught a lesson on how to treat a packmate."
Tony covered his mouth in an attempt to stop his laughter. "Let it be an animal that teaches Gibbs a lesson." He yelped at the head slap he received. "Sorry boss."
