Chapter 10

To say that Ron Stoppable was between a rock and a very hard place would be very inadequate. The phrase that would suit his situation way better would be that he was between Scylla and Charybdis from Greek mythology.

The initial shock just left Kim's face to be replaced by fury that was barely contained. The mountain Kimmore was about to erupt.

"Oh hey KP what's up?" Ron tried to say casually but failed miserably. He saw her eyes trailed along every streak of Shego's black lipstick. Then it hit him just what had happened, 'Hell yeah! I just make out with Sheila,' he smirked inside not daring to show any signs of his happiness to Kim.

"What's up? WHAT'S UP," she screeched, "Why the hell are you having a make out session with Shego goddamn it!"

"Now, now calling it a make out session is a bit strong, don't you think? It was just an innocent kiss," the aforementioned lipstick smeared on his face didn't make his argument very convincing.

To worsen the situation Shego had to add her five cents.

"Aww Ronnie if that is innocent for you I can't wait to see what's naughty for you," she purred wrapping her arms around his arm.

Ron blushed crimson enraging Kim ever more.

"Hands off him you freak! Ron try to resist whatever mind control she have over you!" Kim stood in her fighting position.

'The only thing I have to resist is my libido,' he thought idly, "Now calm down, there's no need for violence…"

"Shut up princess! And why I would have to use mind control on Ronnie anyways?" Shego smirked.

"Because he would never date such freak as you," Kim spat.

Shego's smile fell and she narrowed her dark eyes.

"Looks like someone wants to get beaten pretty badly," she growled and lit her hands.

"Bring it Kermit!" Kim clenched her fists. Seeing that they would lunge at each other at any second the blond in a fit of bravery or stupidity depending on how you look at it, walked between them.

"Hey let's not make it any worse than it is," Ron said in conciliatory tone, "Everyone go their own ways and not make a scene!"

"Ron you really think that I'll let her escape?" Kim asked with a frown.

"And do you think that I'll pass the chance of beating the princess up?" Shego snarled back.

"You know I really like my house as it looks like…" Ron implied desperately trying to reason with them somehow.

"Fine we'll fight in the garden," Shego said moving towards the back doors, "Coming Princess?," she asked with fake sweetness.

Kim huffed and walked angrily past Ron.

"You better have a damn good explanation for that Ron," Kim whispered passing him.

'Oh boy,' the poor boy paled a little walking after them.

Both ladies moved to the garden and glared at each other.

"You're going down Shego," Kim spat.

"In your dreams Princess," she lit her hands, "You will get an extra beating for ruining such a nice meeting!"

Shego lunged her fist ablaze, Kim waited for her to close in and crouched, kicking her foot. Shego flying forward but the years of being a cheerleader and mercenary weren't lost on her. She gracefully landed on her hands and did a front flip jumping back on her feet her back to Kim. Feeling the approaching redhead she did a back kick.

Kim spun around avoiding Shego's outstretched leg and swung her fist at Shego's head using the momentum. The green skinned lady blocked the hit with her right forearm shooting her left fist at Kim's stomach. Kim jumped back creating some space.

Shego used that opportunity to shoot plasma balls at her at a rapid pace. Kim avoided them with ease using her practiced and fluid moves. Each plasma hit set ablaze some object which Ron had to put down using the garden hose he prepared earlier.

"Please avoid hitting the house Shego!" Ron yelled extinguishing his mother's favorite roses.

"Yeah, yeah…" She threw more plasma at Kim which dodged all of them.

"Come on Kermit! That's all you got!" Kim taunted with smirk, "Getting bored here."

Shego's features twisted in fury as she lunged at her. She tried to chop hit her head but Kim ducked and whacked her side with her fist. Shego grunted but endured the pain. She grabbed her hand and brutally elbowed Kim in the face.

The cheerleader recoiled backwards. But as soon as she hit the ground she jumped back on her feet.

"First blood Princess," Shego smirked at the blood coming out of Kim's nose.

"Yours will be the last," Kim growled charging at her with fury in her eyes. She buried Shego under punches and kicks fighting as hard as she could.

Shego blocked and ducked, taken slightly off guard by Kim's sudden assault.

'Let's taunt her little more,' the green vixen grinned; "I don't really know what Ronnie had seen in you all those years…good that he finally opened his eyes to a real woman," Shego laughed a bit.

"Shut up! As if he did something with you," Kim spat.

"And just what do you think that we were about to do before you interrupted," she asked with a sly smile.

Kim blushed fiercely. She glared at Ron who was really pale now and was shaking his head.

"You….YOU…" she breached boiling with fury, "BITCH! I'LL MURDER YOU!" Kim dashed at her at full force.

"BRING IT ON!" Shego did the same.

Both of them clashed again in a violent combat not sparing insults and taunts. At some point Kim found and opening and violently slapped Shego. The latter was so stunned that she actually stopped in her tracks.

"You slapped me?" She growled, her pride just got a painful blow, "You little slut!" The green mercenary jumped at her grabbing her hair.

"Let go bitch!" Kim yelled back grabbing Shego's hair in return. Soon both of them were on the ground, slapping, scratching, and insulting one another.

Ron watched everything from the side lines. He witness how the duel degenerated into a cat fight.

'Damn if they were only in bikini and a pool of jelly,' Ron mused, as he noticed that their outfits where ripped in few places giving out quite a bit of skin.

But he started to grow more concerned when the brawl got more vicious, both Kim and Shego's faces where now bleeding from the scratches.

'I think that it's enough,' Ron directed the garden hose at them. Surprised by the sudden steam of cold he watched as they let a girlish scream out.

"Ron what the hell!" Kim yelled separating form Shego.

"Cut it out Stoppable!" Shego growled.

"Have you cooled down?," he asked stopping he water. He looked at their soaking wet forms. Now their ruined clothes were sticking to their bodies highlighting their curves.

'That was really good idea, ' Ron chuckled, unfortunately his laugh pissed them off.

"What's so damn funny Buffoon!" Shego snapped.

"Sorry you both just look hilarious," he replied trying to stifle a laugh, "And the fact that you are so similar is just adding the humor to it!"

"We're nothing alike!" They yelled in unison, "Stop doing that!"

"See told you," Ron grinned triumphantly.

"Name one thing I share with the princess!" Shego yelled.

"You're both stubborn, prideful, aggressive, have anger management problems, cheerleader, top in anything in school, well when you attended school Shego," he enumerated, "Do I need to say more?"

They both glared at each other with hostility.

"Whatever, but what the hell is SHE doing in your house!" Kim exclaimed.

"I invited her," Ron replied easily maybe a bit to easily.

"WHAT! Why would you invite a criminal to your house?" Kim narrowed her eyes.

"Well I owed her few dinners…" Ron trailed off, "Besides I told you that she's my friend now."

"Friends don't make out!" Kim pointed, "I should know that you would do something stupid like that!"

"Aww jealous princess," Shego mocked standing up, "Afraid that I'll snatch Ronnie from you?"

"As if Ron would fall for someone like you," Kim said with venom, "You have nothing to offer to him."

Shego narrowed her eyes but didn't take the bait.

"At least I hadn't ditched him for some pretty boy," she smirked when she saw it hit the mark, "Tell me how does it feel to take your best friend for granted you little bitch?!"

"Shego, Kim there's no need…" Ron started.

"I don't take him for granted!" Kim yelled.

"Really? Then why aren't you dating him?" Shego asked. Kim felt blush crept on her face. Lately she indeed started to notice how Ron nicely filled out. She caught herself ogling his chest from time to time, "You think that he will always be waiting for you?"

"Shut up!" Kim yelled back, "As if someone like you knows anything about friendship!"

"I know enough to not call my friend a loser," Shego smoothly recalled. Kim opened her mouth to say something but closed it immediately.

The awkward silence fell on the trio. Shego was glaring at Kim, Kim was looking at the ground and Ron was looking at them with sad expression.

"Ok that's really enough both of you," Ron said drawing in their attention, "I think it's time for everyone to go home…" Ron sighed, "Please just go quietly."

Both ladies caved in to his request. They walked past him without a word, not looking at each other, Shego to his house to collect her things and Kim to hers.

Ron quietly walked to his house and was about to see Shego to the exit when he saw the untouched birthday cake.

He instantly took it to the kitchen to pack it. He had found a spare dish in the cupboard. He walked hurriedly to the doors and saw Shego putting her jacket on with a frown on her face.

She looked up to him and saw the dish in his hands.

"What's that," Shego asked awestruck.

"Your birthday cake," Ron replied, "We didn't even had the time to eat it…so I though you would like to have it," he added.

"Thanks…" Shelia muttered taking the cake from him, "I have to say that despite everything I had really nice time."

"Any time Sheila," Ron smiled.

"See ya around," she said and walked out of his house. Ron closed the doors and sighed. He was kind of pissed at Kim for interrupting them. But more than angry he was confused, 'Does that mean she likes me?' Ron mused, 'Or that was just a spur of a moment thing again?' Ron decided to ask her next time they met. He now moved to clean the dishes and a trail of wet foot prints that Shego left.

After he finished he went up and lay in his bed and then texted Sensei if he was available for the mental training.

Soon the familiar apparition loomed over him. Ron focused his senses and the silhouette of the sensei could be clearly visible. He emitted a faint blue glow.

"Greetings Ron-san," the elder man greeted.

"Hi Sensei, I'm ready for the next training," Ron replied.

"Good, after our previous exercise I decided that teaching you how to defend yourself in your sleep might be little too advanced for you so from now on we will focus on protecting your mind while you're awake, I'll try now to enter your mind if I succeed my image will turn yellow," the old man rubbed his beard, "Now listen carefully Ron-san to protect you mind you need to obviously use MMP but it's slightly different than in combat. You have to direct power inwards not outwards to shield you from the enemies. The art of protecting your mind is basically pushing out any foreign power out of your aura, or mind to put it plainly both mind and aura are inseparably linked and you can enter one through another. Now before we start the actual lesson I'll teach you how to redirect the power inside yourself." Sensei floated to him and put his hands on his temples, "Try to sense my aura."

Ron did as instructed and almost recoiled back from the intensive bright of his mentor aura. While the world he saw was usually black save for auras of other people now he could see…everything. He was stupefied to see that even dead object have auras. Suspiciously all object around him had a cerulean tint to it, similar to his own aura.

"I see you noticed that your aura can influence things around you," Sensei acknowledged.

"But…I could never see things so clearly…" Ron uttered in bewilderment.

"That's the effect of my aura, your senses have sharpened drastically but don't worry it will fade," he chuckled.

"That's why I'm worried…I never knew that everything had an aura?" Ron honestly added.

"You are just beginning to learn, and even then your progress is splendid," Sensei praised him, "You can see as much as our fourth year students, but I digress now concentrate on your own aura."

"How do I do that?" He asked.

"Instead of expanding your senses, limit them just to yourself use all your focus on yourself," he instructed.

Ron followed his words and slowly limited his senses only to himself. Soon he found himself surrounded by darkness but somehow he could now feel himself. Every bone and muscle, the blood flowing through his veins…the power coursing through his body. For some reason he felt that it concentrated around his injured ankle.

"I see that you noticed that your power is healing you," Sensei noticed reading his thoughts.

"Is what?!," Ron uttered, "…so that's why I could walk so soon!"

"Yes the good thing that came out of the battle with Yono was that it unlocked your full potential." He stated, "Now your power will passively heal all our injuries but you can learn how to prioritize the healing process, but about that later. Now use that power on yourself."

Ron paused for a brief moment thinking about Sensei's words. He was about to throw the power outwards but he recalled that he actually had to do it in opposite way.

Not being able to name that feeling he draws all power he had inside.

The first reaction was pain.

"Gyah," the blond screamed breaking concentration, he was again on his bed drenched in sweat. Sensei's for loomed over him.

"Not all of it Ron-san, your body isn't adjusted to holding that much power yet," nagged his sensei, "You have to be extremely careful."

"Sorry Sensei," he muttered.

"Think nothing of it, no one succeeds on their first try," he smiled, "Now again."

Ron repeated all process but this time he steadily drew the power to the point where he felt slightly uncomfortable with the amount of power he harbored.

"Good now try to maintain it without concentrating," Sensei added.

Ron opened his eyes and felt the power immediately leave. He repeated the process few times until he finally got a grasp of it. Now he could feel the energy in his body but at the same point be aware of his surroundings.

"I think I got it," Ron happily cheered.

"Yes, now I'll invade you minds…try to keep me out of it," Sensei ordered, "Remember I'll turn yellow when I succeed."

"I'm ready sensei," Ron said and instantly after his words left his mouth sensei turned yellow, "Ok you got me," Ron joked.

"Apologies for that Ron-san, I just wanted to pull a fast one on you as you Americans say," Sensei chuckled and turned blue again, "Now I'll do it in most obvious of ways."

Ron immediately felt pressure on his aura, just like something tried to enter him….a presence. He tried to keep the steady level of his power but the intruder pressed him further and further. He witnessed how Sensei slowly turned green and then started to turn yellow.

In desperate attempt to force him back Ron violently sent the energy at the intruder. He could almost hear Sensei's surprised yelp and immediately the acute flow of energy broke his concentration.

He looked at Sensei only to see a very vague blur in his place.

"Sensei?" He called worryingly. The image cleared one again.

"If I wasn't as experienced as I was you would have killed me," the old man said in a most strained voice.

"I'm sorry Sensei! I didn't mean to…" Ron spluttered.

"Notwithstanding, good reaction," he praised him.

"What?" Ron uttered confused.

"When you felt that someone is pushing you back it's best to respond in kind just like you did…but try to focus on standing your ground when we're training," he nagged him gently, "Let stop here now…I need a rest, you're really a tasking student," the old man smiled gently, "Try to uphold the energy around you for as long as you can and when it becomes a habit we'll move to practicing it while you're sleeping."

"Understood Sensei," Ron said and a yawn escaped his mouth, "See ya around Sensei."

"Farewell Stoppable-san," he replied and disappeared.

Ron struggled to stay awake but failed.

Possible's House,

Ann was preparing the supper when she heared the sound of door opening.

"Kim is that you," Ann called.

"Yeah," came the monotone response.

"Can you come here and help me a bit," she asked.

"In a minute I need to clear myself up," Kim replied with hints of anger, Ann had left the Kitchen and saw the state her daughter was in.

Her hairs were ruffed and messy, her nose was bleeding, and her face was scratched, her clothes were torn, and ripped, and above all that she was soaking wet.

"Jesus, Kim you only went to Ron's house! What happened!?" Ann exclaimed.

"Shego happened," Kim snapped, "That bitch!"

"KIM! Language and what was Shego doing at Ron's house? Is he ok," she asked frantically.

"Yes, apparently he's the one who invited her…" Kim growled, "When I walked in they were sucking each other's faces!"

"Excuse me?" Ann mumbled numb minded, "They what?"

"They were making out in Ron's living room!" Kim huffed crossing her arms, "She had to use some sort of mind control on him!"

"I don't think she needed that," Ann said reasonably.

"Then how could she possibly make him kiss her?" Kim inquired skeptically.

"You forget that she's very attractive young woman," her mother replied, "I bet she knows how to make use of her charms."

"Are you serious, Shego, attractive?" Kim stated with disbelief.

"Well she has all curves in the right places, flat belly, great legs…" Ann enumerated.

"But she's a criminal!" Kim yelled.

"I think that many men would be attracted to that bad girl image," Ann smirked.

"But not RON, NO MY R…" Kim paused feeling a blush crept on her face, 'What I was just about to say?'

"Your Ron? I see that you're quite possessive of him Kim," Ann chuckled making her blush even more, "And since when were you so interested in him?"

"Well…I kind of began seeing things after we came back from Go city…not to mention he filled out nicely," Kim continued blushed.

'Indeed, I still remember those abs…' Ann mussed, 'Oh no hold it right here, you're twice his age!..But that's even better you know you like them innocent,' a small voice in the very dark back of her mind jumped in.

"Mom are you alright? You're drooling," Kim deadpanned.

"Oh...OH! Sorry I've got lost in my thoughts," Ann wiped the edge of her mouth from the drool.

"Whatever, I need to speak with him before he does something stupid with her," Kim stated firmly, "And about killing…it seems that we'll have a longer talk."

"Sweetie you know that Ron is now an adult, he can make decisions on his own," Ann reminded her, "As a friend you have to respect his choices."

"But what if his choices are stupid," Kim asked.

"Kim to that particular situation, I believe that your emotions are speaking through you…while I'm concerned about his…infatuation maybe you should give him the benefit of doubt here."

"I can't believe what you're saying mom! She will backstab him and hurt him at a moment notice!" Kim exclaimed.

Ann sighed,

"Fine, fine I'll go to speak with him tomorrow," Kim stated.

"You don't have to, I'll solve it," Kim said stubbornly.

"Kim, maybe this time a neutral party would be a better option, you're too biased about that and emotions cloud your judgment," her mother explained calmly.

Kim had to admit that Ann had a point here. To tell the truth Kim had half mind to go to Ron's house right now and yell at him for being stupid, but she guessed that would probably put them at odds for a few days.

"Fine but I'll go to speak with him after you're done," she replied with finality.

"Ok but don't let your emotions get better of you, now go change and help make the table, the dinner will be ready in twenty minutes."

Sunday, Early Afternoon,

After getting up later than per usual on Sundays, Ann made a breakfast for the family and went to Ron's house. She spent all yesterday's evening thinking on how to approach all subjects she wanted to discuss with Ron.

When she arrived at his doors she rang the doorbell. Five minutes have passed and no one had opened.

'Maybe he's in the garden the weather is nice,' she mussed and went to the back of the house. As she came closer she could hear rhythmic thuds.

Intrigued by it she peak of the corner and saw Ron hitting wooden pole repeatedly. His training gear was now drenched in sweat as he punished the wooden pole. The wet clothes stuck to his body highlighting his muscles.

'Head in the game Ann,' she coughed loudly.

"Ok hey .P what can I do for you?" Ron asked whipping his forehead.

"I wanted to talk to you Ron," Ann asked.

Ron nodded while he half expected Kim to come speaking with her mother might be a more peaceful way.

"Ok, I'll just change, would you like to wait here or inside," he inquired.

"Let's speak here the weather is nice," she smiled. Ron half smiled and walked back to the house to change. Ann moved to the garden table and waited patiently for him.

After fifteen minutes he walked out caring two glasses and a ewer.

"Sorry for taking so long I had to shower," he apologized, "I brought you some lemonade."

"Thank you, I think you know, about what I would like to speak with you about," she said taking a sip of her drink.

"I have my suspicions," Ron stated smiling weakly.

"Good so let's start with more important stuff…can you tell me what had happened at Yamanouchi again? I heard Kim's version but I want to hear it from your mouth."

Ron sighed and summarized everything that happened.

"...that's all Mrs. Dr. P," Ron said and hung his head waiting for the verdict from his mother figure.

"Ron look at me," Ann told gently, the blonde looked at her hesitantly, "I'm not going to shout on you…as you said you were influenced by that strange power …and even without that your reaction was natural, I know that I would react in similar manner if anyone would hurt my loved ones…while Kim's morals are admirable and I hope she would never encounter the situation that would make her question them she's…too naïve to be blunt, she have to realize that world is not black and white, but that's not our topic now, Ron I won't go all about that killing is bad, you know that already…but what I'm asking is that if you ever again be in such situation…be one hundred percent certain that you really want to do it, so you won't regret it…and before you start telling me what if you tried to harm innocent…well I've known you almost from the beginning and I know that you are a good boy and have caring heart so you won't ever harm anyone other than self-defense or protecting someone," Ann stated with boundless confidence.

"You're words mean so much to me .P," Ron chocked his voice hoarse form emotions.

"Now tell me why an international criminal at your house yesterday," she asked with smile.

"Well…I kind of owed her a dinner, for a lost bet and the fact that she helped out at Yamanouchi, not to mention it was her birthday well not technically but…I'm rambling aren't I?" Ron asked blushing.

"Ahh young love," Ann chuckled when his blush deepened, "But now seriously Ron, have you really thought about this? You know that she's a villainess and can hurt you if you trust her too much,"

"I'm aware of that fact, but I want to try…at least I can manage to get her out of the life of crime somehow," Ron drank his lemonade, "Besides she's not that bad as she try to make herself…she's actually quite nice if you get to know her better."

"Does, I quote…sucking each other's faces fall into that category?" She asked casually amused when Ron started spluttering some incoherent words, "But Ron just for you to know…I don't know her that well but you have to very careful with her, she might just want to have you for a one night stand and then just toss you away and I don't want to see you heartbroken because you gave yourself false hopes," Ann said somberly, "I need you to come clear with her what type of relationship you want to have so neither of you get hurt."

She took a breath, "Since that's done Kim would like to speak with you after that…so maybe come over for dinner so you can speak in relative peace?"

"With pleasure," he replied

Unspecified Location- GJ Medium Security Prison,

"Hold the line! She's not going to break throu…GYA!" GJ agent was knocked out by a quick shot of plasma to the chest. Shego made the short work out of the rest of the squad and moved forward with Drakken following closely behind her.

The facility was deep underground and had many circular levels filled with various degenerates too dangerous for normal prisons but not enough to get into high security prison, The prisoners were kept inside the see though cells made of reinforced glass…obviously not too reinforced for Shego.

"What took you so long Shego?! I was supposed to receive my new instant lair form Hench Co. yesterday! Now I have to pay a penalty fee!" Drakken ranted.

"Sorry Doc, I was busy," Shego replied absentmindedly blasting another guard.

"What could be more important than…" A cold glare shut him up, "Um never mind," he covered in fear. Shego huffed and went through the guards like a hot knife cutting butter. Those guys had been nothing but an annoyance so far. Equipped in laser pistols and batons they tried to take her down…

Tried being the key word,

"We need back up!" One of them desperately shouted to the intercom.

"Your squad was the last one," came the reply, the man dropped the device and looked at the approaching Shego. He closed his eyes and waited for pain but Shego simply passed him without a second thought. Not pushing his luck he ran in the opposite direction passing a stunned Drakken.

'Shego never left any of them standing…she looks distressed by something,' he rubbed his chin, 'I'll ask her when we arrive at the lair and maybe make her some coco-moo while I'm at it?'

When the duo left the prison they walked out into the dark of night, a thick forest was around them.

"Come on Dr. D the hovercraft is nearby," Shego said shortly, after five minutes of walking Shego stopped and de activated stealth shield.

They hoped in and flying away from the prison, about fifteen minutes of flying in awkward silence Drakken decided to speak.

"Ummm…you seem a little distracted Shego…is everything alright?" Dr. D asked carefully, he knew how much she hated when he pried into her private life.

"Peachy," she said through her teeth, even someone as dense as Drakken could see through her lies.

"You know if you want to speak, I'll hear you any time," Drakken softly offered.

Shego looked at him almost, maybe, probably like a father figure with half a smile.

"It's ok Doctor D, I'll be fine," Shelia softly replied.

"Good then, take the course to Antarctica!" Drakken exclaimed, "Our new lair is there!"

"Why couldn't you pick some nicer places," her brief good mood evaporated.

"There was a discount on the instant lairs located there," Drakken said with a smug smile like he just did a deal of his life, "Besides that's a perfect place to make a global warming machine…well use it since I bought it from Hench Co. and…"

Shego muted the rest of his rant returning back to her thoughts.

Ever since she left Ron's house she regretted two things- Her confession and the fact that Kim interrupted them. She hadn't known which one more the former of the latter.

And it confused her.

Ok she had to admit that Ron had many perks that were admirable. He also filled out nicely in the following months.

She was actually considering sleeping with him.

But after that dinner with him something changed inside her. Somehow she didn't want to just sleep with him but to…be with him.

'And the way he said my name just before Princess interrupted,' Shego though with a pleasant shiver going down her spine. But then she immediately snapped herself out of it. What pissed her off the most was that she in some ridiculous, sappy moment of weakness confessed to him and what is even worse, let herself to be comforted by him.

Her – THE SHEGO!

Badass mercenary who doesn't take shit from anyone and is unbreakable!

And just few good meals, one gift and a couple of nice words and she was ready to play the role of tragic damsel waiting for someone to pat her on the head.

It left bad taste in her mouth a really bad bitter taste.

Over the course of hours she grabbed the necklace a few times in attempt to rip it off her neck and throw it off but that small voice in her head always stopped her in the last seconds.

'You'll regret that,' she heard it every time she wanted to take it away…and just ended caressing the stone with her fingers.

Then her mind traveled to the kiss. She just wanted to give him quick peck but the moment he embraced her things went on its own. She never intended to let it get so heated but she will be damned if she didn't enjoyed it. It was like some sort of pleasant electricity passed between them. She felt so right then…

She felt like slapping herself.

She had fallen for Ron Stoppable.

Possible's House,

The Possible family and Ron were sitting at the dining table eating the dinner and chattering idly about some unimportant stuff. That was until Kim decided that it was time for them to speak.

"Ron we need to talk," Kim announced almost coldly.

"Then let's talk," the blond said hoping that she might want to speak with her family present.

"Privately," she clarified, "Let's go to my room, thanks for the meal," Kim added standing up.

"Yeah it was great as usual .P," Ron said giving Ann a tired look.

The duo left the dining room and walked to Kim's room. They sat on the bed in somewhat awkward silence.

"Ron just for you to know I'm happy that you managed to snap out of your trance before you killed Monkey Fist, mom spoke with you about that and I'm sure that she told you that it would be bad thing to do," she started.

'Unless I was 100 percent sure of it,' Ron counter thought.

"I don't even want to tell you just how bad it would be for team Possible and you if you killed him," Kim added, "That would be on your records forever," she looked at him seriously, "I hope you never get as close to actually doing it ever again, cutting his hand off was overkill as it is."

"I get it," Ron said trying to appease her and avoid a long and boring lecture about morals and stuff.

"Good to hear it, now second matter end whatever is between you and Shego, before she stabs you in the back," Kim said confidently, "It will happen sooner or later."

"No," Ron Stoppable remarked so casually.

"Well I'm glad that you….what did you say," Kim asked stupefied.

"I said that I'll try to pursue the relationship with Shego," Ron replied giving her an unwavering stare, "It's my life after all and I can do whatever I want to do with it."

"Ron…" She took deep breath calming her anger down. She remembered her mother advice, "I don't want you to take it as an assault on your freedom but you are making a mistake, women like Shego aren't worth your time or effort," she tried to reason with him, "I know she might have a traumatic past but that doesn't change the fact that she's a criminal not to mention with her style of life…"

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Ron asked with annoyance. She never liked that side of Kim she looked way too much on Shego.

"Well you know…the fact that she sleeps around…" Kim started, "She might have caught something."

Ron just stared blankly in disbelief at her. He was aware that Shego might have any guy she wanted and that he probably would be even in first tenth but to assume such thing was crossing the line. Somehow Ron couldn't picture Shego deliberately infecting other people with diseases. She would never fall that low.

"Kim I'll pretend that I didn't hear that," the blond bit, "I get it that she's your arch-foe but calling her a diseased slut is too far."

"I didn't call her that," she protested.

"Yes you did, but not using those words," the teen snapped, "I can't really believe that, you even let her sleep a few nights here!"

"She was brainwashed, her usual self is unbearable, actually if someone could hit her with that Attitudinator ray again," Kim started.

'I beg to differ, I like her just the way she is," Ron furrowed his eyebrows, "Sorry Kim but I want to give it a shot at how she is."

"Ron, I'm losing my patience with you," Kim growled feeling her temper is getting better of her, "Why can't you understand that I want what's best for you!"

"And why you can't understand that my best and your best might be different!" Ron exclaimed.

"Why do you have to be so stubborn! Couldn't you choose Tara or anyone else besides Shego!" Kim snapped, "Anyone…." She paused, blushing faintly.

"Sorry but you know that it doesn't work that way," Ron said missing her blush, "I'm attracted to Shego and from what I have…seen she might be attracted to me too so I'm willing to give it a shot," he crossed his arms challenging her.

"Ron if you value our friendship you will break up with her," Kin stated glaring at him.

"That's a really low blow Kim," Ron replied narrowing his eyes.

"You did the same with Mankey!" She accused.

"No I just showed you that he was a liar, you broke up with him on your own, hell I even told you that I would endure if he makes you happy," Ron remarked hitting home, 'Like I always do.'

"But I did it for you! I broke up with him because he didn't like you!" She said heatedly.

"So what do you want me to do? Say to her sorry we can't be together because Kim doesn't agree?" Ron inquired with annoyance.

"Just how many times do I need to tell you I know better? I'm telling you that you will regret that," she snapped feeling that she was at the end of her rope.

"Then fine! I at least it will be my decision not yours! Just what do you want from me Kim?" He spat, "Why do I always have to do everything so it will fit your point of view!"

Kim remained silent shocked by his outburst. Ron never spoke, or yelled at her like that. Since that fateful mission something changed inside him. While he remained mostly the same, he became somewhat more focused and strong willed.

The old Ron would cave in immediately to her requests. But that wasn't even the most important matter. The fact that he asked her what she wanted from him put her in very delicate spot.

She was aware of her feeling towards Ron. While not exactly romantic yet she knew that it was just a matter of time.

While it was little deceptive it might help to bring Ron out of his attraction to Shego.

"I want you to be my boyfriend," she finally said and observed how his face morphed from an annoyed one to a shocked one.

Stunned/anticipating silence filled the room.

Critical system failure, initiate additional safety protocols, reboot in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…

Rebooting,

"What?" Ron chocked. He was certain that his hearing was damaged in some way.

"I said that I want you to be my boyfriend," Ron remained silent, "I know it's big news for you but you could at least say how happy you are."

But nothing came out of his mouth. Ron just looked at her certain that she just pulled his chain. While he still had feelings for her, true confused he doubted that he could feel about her the way he felt before the prom. The bitterness from being shot down in favor of the likes of Mankey stung him deeply and corroded his romantic interest in her.

Kim looked at him impatiently waiting for his outburst of happiness. She was kind of angry at herself for not accepting his offer at the prom. She was just too blind to see all perks Ron had. But she knew that he would jump at the chance to be her boyfriend.

'I'll make it all up to him and he will instantly forget about that green abomination,' Kim smiled.

"No," again Ron Stoppable casually answered her.

"I knew you would be delig….what did you say," Kim stopped not sure if she heard him right.

"Sorry Kim but I'm not interested in being your boyfriend," Ron replied in the same tone. He had to admit that giving her a taste of her own medicine felt good. Besides he had strong suspicions that she was doing that to steer him from pursuing relationship with Shego.

"But…But…" She spluttered not comprehending situation, "If I would had said it after the prom you would have jumped at that offer!"

"You're right I would have," the blond said coldly, "But it was half year ago and I moved on…you expected me to wait till you make up your mind?"

"No...Well…but…how can you choose Shego over me!" Kim yelled.

"Correction I'm choosing Shego over Tara, I need to speak about it with her," he sighed.

"I want you to choose now! Me or Shego!" She pressed fury overtaking her features.

"Sorry Kim but you already know the answer," he said with weariness.

"B-But why?..." She made a last attempt to control herself, "Why you don't want to be my boyfriend?"

"Because you clearly showed that you're not interested in me after the prom, you gave me high hopes with that kiss and then you stomped on it, worse you wanted a damn week to think about it and after that time when I spent a few sleepless nights a nervous wrecked was all just to hear no and then you started to date Monkey bastard the next week. It felt like you just slapped me! I never felt so bitter in my life! And to add the salt to the wounds now you want to date me! After you called me a loser and hindrance…we spoke about it but what I hadn't told you was that it helped me open my eyes…I started to see things I ignored …Sorry Kim but I don't have any romantic feelings for you anymore…those are gone…" Ron sighed.

Kim fury fist turned into shock then sadness, "I spent most of my life trying to make you happy and doing most of things just for you…but now I want to do something for myself even if you're against it…that's all I have to say in that matter…"

Kim felt tears slide down her cheeks. She felt horrible when Ron said it like that. She was foolish to think that he would suck it up as always.

She could already see the image of smirking Shego as she dug her claws deeper into Ron.

That image sparked another burst of anger.

"Get out," she mumbled.

"Can you repeat that?" Ron said.

"GET OUT! I don't want to see you anymore!" She screeched.

Ron felt a stab of pain but hadn't showed it.

"Very well," he turned on his heel and walked out of room and closed the doors. But he could still hear the muffled sobs.

He walked down stairs and saw that whole family was still sitting at the dinner table…that was directly below Kim's room.

'Probably heard everything,' he mentally sighed.

"Ronald can we ask for a word with you," Mr. Possible said with stern voice.

"Of course," he said and sat at the table.

"We heard some shouting upstairs mind if you fill us in?" James asked glaring at Ron.

"Long story short we just explained few things to each other's and…I guess we had a little argument," Ron answered.

"Ronald you know what will happen if my little Kimmie-cub ever cries because of you," Mr.P warned. Ann glared at him but it paled in comparison to the way Ron glared at him. To say Mr.P was surprised would be an understatement of century.

Ron's eyes suddenly got very cold and bored into the older male's with such intensity that it made Mr.P rethink the the way he spoke to Ron.

"Kim is now crying because of mistakes she made in the past, I just pointed them to her…whatever she will do with it, it's entirely up to her, I'm done being blamed because of mistakes of others," he said coldly making Possible family flinch, "I'm sorry it ruined such a nice day but it had to be done…I'll think that I'll be going now, have a nice day." Ron stood and marched out of the room.

Ann caught up to him when he had his hand on the door handle.

"Ron…I won't ask you what happened but know that you're always welcome at our house," she said putting her hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you .P but I have you go now…have a nice day," he left the house leaving Ann with her hand still extended towards the doors.

"Oh Kim, I've told you to not get emotional…"

Next Day- Monday

The mood in the Middleton high was tense at best. The whole school could witness the tension between the members of team Possible. So much that even Bonnie hadn't dared to call them out.

Aside from the fact that they weren't looking at each other obvious silent treatment masked some deeper problems. By the lunch whole school literally oozed with gossips.

The rumors even strengthen when Ron sat with Felix and Kim sat with Monique at separate tables. Not far away but it was just coincidence. The cafeteria was just too crowded.

Usually filled with laughs and chattering now was silent except from occasion murmurs. Felix and Monique were desperately trying to get them speaking but both of them were adamant to not make first step.

Be Beep Be Beep

The sound of Kimmunicator echoed through the room. Kim picked up.

"Kim Drakken and Shego are up to something again! There's been a large rise up of temperature in the arctic area!"

"I'm on it Wade," she said and stood up only to see Ron doing the same.

"I don't need your help," she said coldly.

"I promised your family to watch your back on the missions regardless of everything, besides the missions are more important than out petty arguments," he replied in an even tone.

"Whatever," she walked out of the cafeteria with Ron following her silently.
