BM - Chapter 12 - Do You Have the Time
A/N: Priestess Ina'nis is refered to as Ina'nis and Human Ina is refered to as Ina. This should clear up confusion on their names. Let me know if I messed it up somewhere.
"Who are you…?" Gura and Ina stood over who they thought had been a stalker. It would've been so much simpler if they had. Instead, they were looking at a nearly identical copy of Ina.
Ina'nis blinked rapidly while laying on the ground. Slowly and carefully, she propped herself up on her elbows and looked up at the other girls.
"My name is Ninomae Ina'nis and I'm not from around here." She let the other two put the pieces together in silence. Their facial expressions changed from confusion to surprise. They understood.
"You're from another timeline. A different version of me," Ina thought out loud once she figured it out. She pointed towards herself and then back at Ina'nis.
"How do you know Ame?" Gura pressed the question again.
"It's been three years since she vanished, right?" The other girls nodded. Ina'nis moved up into a sitting position on the ground.
"No one else remembers it. Honestly, how can you just forget the entire timeline falling apart?" Gura expressed her displeasure about the event. Ina put a hand on her shoulder, calming her down.
"It was the timeline correcting itself. Only Gura and I remember what happened that day. The day Amelia sacrificed herself to save us." Ina tried to prevent her own emotions from overwhelming her. Ina'nis sighed.
"First off, Ame is alive and well." Just those words were enough to set Ina and Gura at ease. They both sighed heavily, leaning backwards as they did so. Ina'nis continued after a moment, "From her explanation of the story, she was sent to my timeline that day and has been living there ever since. She wants to come back here as soon as possible. If only I had known that she could." Ina'nis brought the time watch out and turned it over in her hand. The Ancient Ones reminded her that it still had a couple days until it was fully charged.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that she's doing well," Ina said. Gura nodded.
"Same here, but what do you mean if only you'd known?" she asked. Ina'nis held the time watch up for them to see.
"We were finally able to repair her time watch, but I used it before she could. If she used it instead of me, she would have been sent here." Gura suddenly took a large step back. Her eyes were wide and frantic. She was panicking.
"I-It's not going to happen again right?!" she asked very loudly. Ina patted her on the back, trying to get her to calm down again. Ina'nis took this opportunity to stand.
"No it won't," she stated, making Gura immediately drop her hands onto her knees and take a few deep breaths. "I can produce enough energy to stop the Destabilization from occurring. However, it is going to take a few days until I can leave."
"What do you mean, 'produce energy'?" Ina asked with a slight head tilt. Ina'nis opened her mouth to answer, but quickly closed it.
These two probably didn't have the best opinion on Priestess' if Amelia was anything to go off of. She could really use some friends while she was stuck here, so it would be best to hide it for now.
"That's not really important…" Ina'nis couldn't come up with a good lie to tell, so she deflected the question instead. Gura eye'd her with suspicion, but Ina seemed to drop it.
"So you're stuck here?" Ina asked, kindly.
"For the next few days, yes," she replied. Ina looked up at the sky for a second before fixing her gaze back on to Ina'nis.
"Let's go back to my place," she offered, prompting Gura to look at her like she was crazy.
"Huh? We don't even know if what she's saying is true. She could end up destroying everything again!" Gura's frustration was palpable. She hated the thought of messing with time ever since that incident three years ago. It terrified her to think that all of them were just moments away from complete annihilation because of one rash decision.
"If I know her as well as I think I do, she wants to come with us because she doesn't want to feel lonely." Ina, as always, was correct about the current social scenario. "Plus, everything she's said about Ame has been true. There is no reason for us to not believe her." Gura huffed, but signaled that she was willing to take Ina'nis in.
"Alright then, follow us, Ms. Ninomae," Ina said, shooting the other version of herself a wink. Ina'nis chuckled and followed the pair up and down streets until they arrived in front of a large apartment building. Ina explained that she had continued to live there even after graduating high school. Both her and Gura went to a local community college and lived together.
"Did Gura live too far away to get to classes?" Ina'nis asked just as they walked into the apartment. Gura felt a blush work its way onto her face. Ina smirked.
"Heh, I followed Ame's advice and pursued her. It certainly helped that we both saw our relationship in a previous timeline, as well." Ina got very close to Gura, only increasing the other girl's blush. She playfully shoved Ina away.
"Other timeline? Are you guys also not from around here?" Ina'nis asked, tilting her head slightly.
"This is our original timeline. But during the incident, we saw memories from the other timelines Amelia had reset in. In one of those, I think the original, we were together." Ina'nis paused all of her movement. She was very confused now.
"Did Ame know?" she questioned. Ina laughed.
"Of course she did. It was the-" Gura cut her off by putting a hand over her mouth.
"Ame didn't tell you, did she?" Gura said quickly. She then retracted her hand away from Ina's mouth, which was slightly hung open.
"No she didn't… Why is there-?"
"That would be something for her to explain to you. I'm sure she has her reasons," Ina interrupted her other version. Ina'nis slowly nodded.
"Mhm, I guess. We have other things to talk about anyways." Gura walked over to the Priestess and looked at her hair.
"Yeah, like what is up with your hair? It looks squishy." Gura slowly reached up towards the two tentacles that hung from either side of Ina'nis' head. The victim in this situation pulled her head away from the foreign hands until her neck was straining. With one large step, she put as much distance as she could between herself and Gura's grasp.
"No touch," she finally said. Gura narrowed her eyes slightly at her.
"Ha! I told you she's just like me!" Ina laughed. Just like the Priestess, she hated people messing with her hair. Gura was the only person she would let anywhere near it.
"Fine, but why does it look like that?" Gura pointed a finger at it. Ina'nis wanted to pull up her hood to hide really badly. Somehow, she had to keep that she was a Priestess a secret for a few days. It seemed impossible, but she had to keep it up for at least tonight. They had to trust her initially, then she could maybe reveal herself.
"Just because I'm Ina doesn't mean that I am identical to her," she pointed her own finger at Ina. Gura gave her the same suspicious look as she had before, but still backed off.
"How different are you exactly?" Ina didn't let the topic drop this time. Ina'nis opened her mouth, but another splitting headache tore through her skull.
'I hope you remember us after this.' Ina'nis grabbed her forehead and groaned in pain. Another memory of her past. She was certain this one was just before she had been corrupted. Were those voices her parents?
"Are you ok?!" Ina asked, quickly making her way over to the other version of herself. Gura didn't know how to react, so she chose to stand silently to the side.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine now," Ina'nis replied. She slowly removed her hand as the pain faded away.
'It seems like interacting with this alternate version of yourself is enough to unlock memories. We would recommend that you continue to interact with her,' the Ancient Ones said. Ina'nis couldn't help but to agree.
"Do you need some sleep? It is getting kind of late," Ina turned to a clock and saw that it was nearing eleven at night. She and Gura usually were getting ready for bed by this point.
"Probably… This has been mentally taxing…" Ina'nis said with a sigh. To be fair, she did want to sleep now. Although, that might be her wanting to get away from the inevitable questions.
"Through that door is the extra bedroom. If you need any new clothes, let me know." Ina was probably the nicest person Ina'nis had ever met. She was both soft spoken, but still managed to get a strong point across. She wanted to help her in every way she could. It was comforting.
"Thanks…" Ina'nis responded before quickly slinking off into the room. She looked around taking in where she would be spending the next few days. There was a bed and nightstand along one wall, with a dresser on the opposite wall. The small closet door was slightly ajar as well.
She lightly closed the door behind her and sat down on the bed. It would probably take until tomorrow for her to take in her current situation properly. There was no immediate danger as it stood, but there were personal implications here, too. What would Amelia think of all this? Was she just going to leave now that she could?
Ina'nis stood up and began to pace around the room slowly. She normally liked to lay down to think, but she worried sleep would take her before she could think through everything.
As she wandered over to the nightstand, something caught her attention. There was a picture frame laying face down on it. She pulled it up to see what it was displaying.
It was a picture of Ina, Gura, and Amelia. They all seemed so happy, making faces at the camera. They were in some kind of older looking building, so Ina'nis assumed this was the time they all went bowling.
It broke Ina'nis heart to look at that photo. All of the happy memories that Amelia missed out on because of her actions back then. It didn't seem like Ina or Gura were trying to forget, but they probably also didn't like to look at this picture too much.
She set it back face down and walked over to the dresser. She pulled one of the drawers open and saw several sets of clothes. She picked up a t-shirt and unfolded it. The material was covered with dust and had massive creases in it. This hadn't been touched in a long time.
Almost like it had been sitting in there for three years…
Ina'nis quickly folded the shirt back up and looked around at the room once again. It only now hit her that this was the room Amelia had stayed in all those years ago. Once again, this bedroom was housing someone who was lost and scared with nowhere else to go.
This also meant that Ina and Gura had kept this room like this for three years. They had been waiting for Amelia to come back…
"I mean, I remember how Gura still waited for me that day when I didn't show up on the beach…" Ina'nis said sadly. That had been the day where Hololive had captured Gura on her request. Even though she had probably saved her life, seeing the look of betrayal in her friend's eyes always stung her heart.
She could only imagine the pain she was digging up for the girls outside. It must be horrible to have someone show up, but not the one you wanted. Then again, she could use this to give them hope that Amelia would return soon.
'Do you want that, Priestess?' the Ancient Ones probed her mind. Ina'nis quietly sat back onto the bed, letting that question sink in.
"I-I don't know…" was all she said back. She didn't want Amelia to leave her and Gura. They were finally becoming good friends and now she was going to just leave them. Amelia had responsibilities at Hololive, too, right? But no one at Hololive could chase her through time. If she wanted to leave, there was no stopping her.
Unless she never gave her back the watch. Ina'nis grabbed it out from her pocket, a faint white glow surrounding it. There were tiny hints of purple, but nothing too bright. The Ancient Ones were limiting their magic output to filter as much corruption as possible.
'We can not risk corrupting it while you are here. We can, however, when you return to your timeline,' they explained to their Priestess. Ina put it back in her pocket and shook her head. There was no way that she could go through with that. She was already betraying Amelia's trust by using it. It was already making her heart ache imagining that look of betrayal on Amelia's face, too.
"Well, I don't trust her," Ina heard a faint voice drift in the room. She looked over at the door and saw two shadows stand outside of it.
"Just leave her alone for now, I'll talk to her." That was Ina's voice, meaning that it was Gura who said that she didn't trust Ina'nis. A light knocking came from the other side. The second shadow left. "Hey, I brought a few clothes." Ina'nis laughed softly to herself. Of course the polite and kind Ina would bring her clothes no matter if she requested them.
"Thanks, you can bring them in," Ina'nis answered. The door knob turned and the door was slowly pushed open. Ina carried in a fair pile of clothing and set it down on the bed next to Ina'nis.
"Get some rest and don't mind Gura. She doesn't have the best memory of our good times with Amelia," Ina said before beginning to walk out of the room.
"Wait, what do you mean, 'the best memory'?" Ina'nis quickly asked before the other girl could leave. Ina stopped and turned back to her. She sighed and looked up at the ceiling for a moment.
"I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I've known Amelia for longer, so I guess I have the best memory of her. Gura only knew her for about a week, but they still got close. Everyone else close to Amelia is either dead or in a coma." Oh shit, Ina'nis hadn't even thought about Amelia's younger brother Johnny.
"Is Johnny ok?" she quickly asked. Ina nodded.
"Yes, but he's still asleep. Nothing the doctors do can wake him up." Ina'nis sighed from relief.
"Alright, that's better than nothing. Anyways, what were you saying about memories?"
"Oh yeah. Umm, because I remember Amelia better I've kept the majority of my memories of her with me. However, Gura sometimes has to be reminded about Amelia to remember her correctly," Ina continued to explain. Ina'nis tilted her head.
"So it's like the timeline is trying to erase all traces of Amelia from here?" she asked. Ina nodded before walking over to the picture frame. She grabbed it and brought it over to Ina'nis, pointing at Amelia in the photo.
"See how she is faded from this picture?" Ina'nis stared closely at Amelia, noticing the faint blue hue that covered her. She gasped and put her hands over her mouth.
"That's not good…" she said behind her cupped hand. Ina nodded, sadly. She put the picture back down, this time face up, and walked back over.
"That is the last picture we have of her. It was the only one that we were able to print before she was wiped from it. Even our teachers and classmates didn't remember her. The timeline has done its best to erase everything that she did here…" Ina sounded very sad. Ina'nis stood up and put a comforting hand on her other self's shoulder.
"You've kept this room this way to remember her, right?" Ina nodded. "I'm going to make sure that the next person to use that watch is Amelia," she said with the strongest conviction of her life. Ina smiled slightly, patting Ina'nis' hand.
"Thanks. I hope she can come back soon," she replied with a bittersweet tone. Ina'nis took her hand off of her shoulder and the other girl left with a quick goodnight. She shut the door behind her and Ina'nis returned back to sitting on the bed.
"This is where she belongs," she said to herself. Amelia was going to get back to her friends, Ina'nis was going to make sure of it.
Ina'nis rolled around in the bed, groaning at the discomfort of waking up. If only she could sleep forever…
Slowly, she opened her eyes just enough to see around her. When she didn't recognize the room, her eyes fully opened in shock. She quickly sat up, feeling the grogginess replaced by adrenaline. But that too soon faded as she remembered what had happened the day before.
'Welcome back, our Priestess,' the Ancient Ones greeted her. They liked to do this every now and then. She assumed it was them trying to be friendly with her. To be honest, she didn't hate it, but she would rather them speak only when needed.
Ina'nis put her head back onto the pillow. She shifted herself under the blankets slightly and stared up at the ceiling. Right now, she had a choice: should she get up or lay here forever? Well, it wasn't really much of a choice, she was going to have to get up and eat. However, she would like to delay that as long as possible.
'You need to interact with the other Ina'nis to see more memories. Is that not why you are here?' the Ancient Ones defeated her argument. She did need to get up and talk more with her other self. Her memories were too important to her, especially now that she had gotten a taste of them.
Speaking of those memories, what exactly had she been seeing? Her parents had apologized to her and then said what was effectively goodbye. Her past didn't seem very happy. Some more pieces should help her see the bigger picture.
"Is it likely that I will see my whole past?" she asked the voices in her head.
'It is possible, however they seem to be getting unlocked through proxy. You need to have that other Ina'nis react in ways that are similar to events in your past,' they explained to her.
"Could it also just be because I time traveled?" It was possible that she could be destabilized like Amelia now. According to Amelia's story and what they had said before, Ina and Gura had regained memories from previous timelines.
'That could have been the match that lit this fire, but to make the flames bigger you need to interact with her.' Ina'nis sighed, rolling over to the side of the bed that had her phone on the nightstand. She grabbed it and looked at the time. It read two in the afternoon.
"Wow, I slept late…" she mumbled before pulling herself upright. Of course, she didn't get any cell service here. Not that she would be getting any messages. But that meant the internet was locked away from her. Normally, she liked to begin her day with some videos or social media posts. Neither would be possible right now, though. It looked like the only thing that she could do was go outside and talk to Ina and Gura.
Ina'nis stretched her legs and put them out the side of the covers. She noticed that she was in different clothing now. Some time the night before, she had changed into more comfortable clothing. Her Priestess outfit was tucked neatly under the bed inside the hoodie and pants she had been wearing.
She stood up and stretched her arms above her, enjoying the feeling of blood rushing to them when she finished. She listened for any noises coming from outside the room, but didn't hear anything just yet. Slowly, she walked over to the door and opened it just enough to peak out.
The two bedrooms were in a hallway next to one another. To the left was the way to the main eating/living area of the apartment and to the right was the laundry and the second bedroom. It was just big enough that she didn't feel cramped, but just small enough to feel cozy.
When the door was open, Ina'nis could hear faint noises coming from down the hall to her left. She couldn't tell who it was making them, but it sounded like they were just sitting doing nothing. Ina'nis pushed the door open fully and peaked around the corner.
Gura must have heard the door opening because she looked at Ina'nis from down the hall. The Priestess gave a little wave to which Gura rolled her eyes. Ina'nis frowned slightly and pulled her hand back in.
Well, if Ina wasn't here then there was no reason for her to leave…
"You hungry?" Gura asked, standing from the countertop she'd been sitting at. Ina'nis quickly looked back over to her and paused.
"Y-yeah…" she answered just loud enough for Gura to hear. After closing the door behind her, she walked down the hall and saw Gura open a drawer in the kitchen.
"I'm not that good of a cook, so I'll be making a sandwich. Ina is much better, but you're stuck with me until she gets back," Gura said simply, pulling out a loaf of bread and taking two slices. She then went over to the fridge and began pulling several things out of it.
"Where is Ina?" Ina'nis asked, sitting on the stool that was farthest from where Gura had been sitting before. Gura lightly closed the fridge and began to put the sandwich together.
"She's at class, taking notes for me and her. She wanted one of us to be here when you woke up and she is better at paying attention to the lectures, so I'm the one here," Gura explained. Ina'nis nodded, letting her body slowly relax.
"What do you guys study there?" Gura glanced at her for a moment.
"She is studying theoretical physics, or at least the closest thing to it at a community college," Gura giggled slightly, letting Ina'nis join in for a brief moment. "I am working on graphic design and photography. It's been a passion of mine since middle school."
"Those are two very different things," Ina'nis said jokingly.
"Yeah, Ina wanted to get into drawing and art back before it happened. Afterwards, she changed her mind and started to look into the sciences." Ina'nis pulled her lips into a thin line. She knew exactly why Ina would do something like that.
"She was trying to find a way to get Amelia back, wasn't she?" Gura slapped the top piece of bread onto the sandwich and put the plate down in front of Ina'nis. The other girl said a quiet thank you.
"Of course that's why. She wanted to figure out what happened, too, but it was all just her trying to find and bring Ame back. What has Ame been up to in your timeline?" Gura was the one to ask the question.
"Well, I only really got to know her over the past couple months. We're in an entertainment agency called Hololive as coworkers." Gura laughed slightly while she put away the food.
"Huh, you guys just run into each other no matter what timeline," Gura mused. Ina'nis let out a curt laugh.
"Yeah, it was a real surprise for her. You are there, too." Gura stopped putting the bread into the drawer and turned around to look at Ina'nis. Her eyes were wide with excitement.
"Wow! We really all meet up again?!" she asked, her voice filled with amazement. Ina laughed fully this time.
"Yep, all three of us managed to find each other again. Me and you met before Amelia joined, but she came by soon after. We've dealt with a lot during our short time knowing each other, but it has been the best part of my life," Ina'nis said, smiling wide. She couldn't speak for Amelia, but she knew that her and Gura were both the happiest they had ever been. They both felt cared for and normal. Their lives were no longer being spent in a blood filled rage or in a padded cell with armed guards outside. They could enjoy what life had to offer for the first time, with people that they liked.
"How did you react when you found out Amelia was a time traveler?" Gura finished putting the food away before quickly sitting down next to Ina'nis. Her earlier disregard for the girl was now replaced with genuine interest.
"Well, it wasn't too surprising. The thing about Hololive is that none of us are really normal." Ina knew she had to tread carefully on this topic. If she wanted to help Amelia here, she would need to talk about corruption and magic here to maybe help Johnny. There wasn't much of a chance that she could do anything right now, but in the future she or Amelia could come back and purify him with Pure Flow.
"How different are you guys?" Gura asked, clearly eyeing Ina'nis' hair. Sometimes, Ina'nis wished that she could just make that part of her disappear. It attracted too much attention when she didn't want it.
"W-Well, we all have some interesting quirks with our physical appearance. I have some weird hair and your teeth are way sharper," Ina'nis stammered out. Gura leaned her face closer to hers, making Ina back away and avoid eye contact.
"I think Ame has a few more differences than just her appearance. Sure she can make a new arm or two, but there's got to be more," Gura said flatly. Ina'nis could feel herself beginning to sweat. Obviously Gura knew there was something else amiss here, but she couldn't possibly guess what.
"Y-yeah, we're all a little different. You aren't exactly human…" Ina trailed off, becoming increasingly self conscious from Gura's staring. The other girl pulled her head away suddenly and her eyes became wide again.
"What do you mean by 'not human'?" Ina'nis took a moment to rub her face in preparation.
"For starters, you have a fish tail, shark specifically." Gura just continued to stare at her, so Ina'nis continued, "I've heard you say that you're sharp teeth grow back and that you can breathe underwater."
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Gura cheered suddenly. Ina'nis almost fell off of the stool she was so surprised.
"W-what…?" she said, mouth slightly too far open.
"What else can I do? Can I swim really fast? Am I scaly or have gills?" Gura ignored Ina'nis' question and pushed her own instead.
"Uhh, you can swim fast, but I don't think you have gills. You said you never really looked into why you can breathe underwater, you just can," Ina'nis stated.
"So I'm some kind of shark girl?" Gura seemed to calm down, letting Ina'nis breathe properly.
"Technically you are an Atlantean from the city Atlantis." Gura put a hand to her chin, thinking about her other self in greater depth.
"Sounds like something straight out of a myth…" she said under her breath while thinking. Ina'nis picked up on it and laughed a little.
"We most certainly are." Gura put her hand back into her lap. "I'm honestly surprised you even believe any of what I'm saying. Most people would think I'm crazy." Ina'nis made a swirling motion with her finger near her head. Gura smiled and looked upwards.
"Ame showed us that there is a lot we don't know about this universe we live in. I am only believing you because I know Ina wouldn't lie about this stuff." Gura looked back down at Ina'nis and smiled.
"You're right about this universe. I'm even surprised by it sometimes."
"So what myth are you?" Gura asked her the inevitable question.
"What time is Ina supposed to get back?" Ina'nis deflected. Gura started to creep closer to her face again.
"Probably in an hour or two. You want to wait for her?" Ina'nis nodded. At this point, she knew she needed to tell them. Her conversation with Ina from the night before and now this one with Gura were just solidifying that she needed to help out in any way she could. Revealing herself would allow her to try to help Johnny and restore the memories of Amelia here. It was the least that she could do for these wonderful friends of Amelia's.
"Yeah, I am her so I would like to tell her directly." Gura backed off once more. Ina'nis took the short pause to finally take a bite of the sandwich.
"Are you human?" Gura asked with steely eyes. Ina'nis gulped both out of nervousness and to swallow her bite.
"I am, no matter how different I may seem. My name is Ninomae Ina'nis, a quiet artist that just wants to have a few friends and to never have to come out of her room." Gura giggled softly at her declaration.
"That sounds like something a younger Ina would say." Ina'nis joined in, laughing faintly along. "So, got any more stories?"
"In fact, I do." Man, Ina'nis was getting good at this whole making friends thing.
"...and then, Kiara just jumped at Amelia and squeezed her so tightly that I thought she was going to pop!"
"Woah, she sounds like a good friend. You think that she is here as a human, too?"
"Maybe, but it doesn't seem like she is anywhere around here."
Ina heard a fairly loud conversation float through the door to her apartment. At least Ina'nis was up and Gura was enjoying her company. She almost felt bad when she opened the door and heard them both fall silent.
"Don't let me interrupt," Ina said, trying to make herself scarce. Gura nodded towards Ina'nis who stood up from the couch they had both been sitting on.
"We've actually been waiting for you…" Ina'nis felt a heavy pressure enveloping her. It was time to finally reveal what she was. There was not much she could do to make this go down easier for them.
"Oh? What's up then?" Ina appeared oblivious to Ina'nis worrying. Gura also stood now.
"I'll help you unpack some things," she said quickly, taking Ina's bag from her. After a few minutes of silent unpacking, During this, Ina'nis snuck off to the other bedroom and pulled out her Priestess outfit and the disguise she had been wearing before. She slipped them on and sat down on the bed, mentally preparing herself.
The Ancient Ones told her that she had a choice, but she had already made that choice a while ago. This was the best way to help Amelia. It would be a little rough, but they can all come to an understanding. Hopefully…
She stepped out of the room and walked down the hall. Both Ina and Gura were sitting on the couch in silence, apparently waiting for her to return. She stood in front of them both, letting them notice her change of clothes.
"So… what's this about?" Gura gestured to her clothes. Ina'nis too one last deep breath before pulled the hoodie off. She watched as Gura and Ina's eyes went wide. Her pants came off next to fully reveal her dress underneath.
"Please don't freak out…" she pleaded in a whisper.
"Y-y-y-y-our…" Gura stammered out.
"A Priestess," Ina finished.
Author's Note: A bit of a slower chapter, but I like making characters talk. When I originally wrote this out it was only 2100 words. Now it is over 5k words, which is a lot more. I honestly don't know how I managed to pull that off, but I'm not complaining. I know you guys like longer chapters, so here is a longer one.
Ina and Ina'nis seem to have a mutual understanding, but Gura is a bit more tentative. With the reveal of her Priestess nature, Ina'nis is trying to appeal to Ina. However, Ina has the worst memories of Priestesses, so that might not work out how she planned.
A small notice on the next two chapters: they will both be released around the same time. Now, I don't know if it will be next week or in three, but I can say that there will be no chapter two weeks from now. I have some very important things scheduled, so I can't afford to spend time on this. I would like to have both chapters ready for next week and finish this arc early, but I am not sure if I'll be able to pull that off. I know I just had a break, but with the summer approaching I'll be able to invest more time into this and bang out some more chapters. I want to finish this part of the fic by the end of the summer and start on the next. There is still a long way to go.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to you guys for the support on the last chapter. After a nearly month long break, I was expecting a slow start up with these new chapters. But you guys totally blew that out of the water! I'm so glad you all are reading and enjoying what I'm putting a lot of time an effort into. I hope you all stick around till the end. I'll see you there :)
Next Chapter: I am a Priestess
