Hiccup, Valka and Magmar were nearing Berk.
"So, we just land when we get there" Magmar asked them.
"Yeah, is something wrong" Hiccup asked him.
"No, not at all. It's just that everybody is going to stop what they're doing and just stare. Trust me, it's happened before" he replied.
"Well, that's to be expected" said Valka.
"Yeah, I know" said Magmar.
Once Magmar and Lightning both saw Berk, they were wide eyed in awe.
"Wow" Magmar uttered.
"Well, what do you think" Hiccup asked him.
"It's beautiful" he replied.
"Thank you. I'm so glad you like it" said Hiccup.
"We'll land in a about a minute, Hiccup. We're just going to take in the view" said Magmar.
"Alright" said Hiccup.
He and Valka landed back on Berk and they were soon greeted by the other dragon riders.
"Hiccup, Valka, you're back! What happened" Astrid asked them.
"We found them. They're on our side" Valka replied.
Just then Magmar and Lightning landed right beside them. Astrid and the twins just stared with wide eyes, while Snotlout and Fishlegs both fainted.
"What did I tell you? Just silent and staring" said Magmar.
"Gang, meet Magmar" said Hiccup.
"Hi" he said.
"Hi" Astrid uttered.
The twins continued to silently stare in awe.
"OK, can you guys stop staring" Hiccup asked them.
"S-sure thing" Tuffnut uttered.
"Yeah, they'll stop staring eventually" said Magmar.
After Fishlegs and Snotlout woke up, Magmar informed them of all the things he told Hiccup and Valka.
"And there you have it" he said.
"You two have certainly been busy" said Astrid.
"Oh definitely" said Magmar.
"Bring on whoever this Maeve is. I'll show her" said Tuffnut.
"Yeah, sure you will" said Snotlout.
Astrid then noticed that Hiccup was off to the side and staring at the sunset. She walked over to him.
"Hiccup, is something wrong" she asked him.
"No, it's just…it feels like a never-ending war against the dragon hunters, Astrid. I'm starting to doubt if we even CAN stop them" he replied.
"Don't say that. We will stop them. I know we will" she said.
"How can you be so sure" he asked her.
She smiled and kissed him.
"Because I know we can do it. I believe in you and so does everyone else" she said.
Hiccup smiled and reassured himself that everything will be OK.
The next day…
Valka and Cloudjumper were showing Magmar and Lightning around Berk, while Hiccup was busy with a project he's working on.
"Thank you for this tour of Berk, Valka. We really appreciate it" said Magmar.
"Oh, it's not a problem" said Valka.
They both stopped at the Forge where Gobber was working.
"Hello Gobber" said Valka.
"Hey Valka, what's going on" he asked her.
"Nothing much, just showing Magmar and Lightning around Berk" she replied.
"Oh, is that so…" he stopped talking and dropped everything he was holding.
Magmar just sighed and facepalmed.
"Every time" he said.
Valka laughed as Gobber slowly approached.
"Wow…magnificent" he uttered.
"Yeah, I know" said Magmar.
"You sound a little irritated" said Valka.
"Sorry, I'm just staring to get sick of this reaction Vikings have towards Lightning" said Magmar.
"It does sound kind of annoying, the more you think about it" said Valka.
"Sorry about that, it's just…I've heard the stories, but I never thought that they'd be real" said Gobber.
"Yeah, I know. I hear others say the same thing" said Magmar.
"What's that on your back" Gobber asked him.
"Oh, that's my sword. I made it myself" he replied.
He then pulled out a sword that looked like a mix between a normal sword and an axe.
"Wow, now that is a magnificent weapon you have" said Gobber.
"Thanks" said Magmar as he put his sword back on his back.
"Well, I better get back to work. Got a lot of things to take care off" said Gobber.
He picked up the tools he dropped and got back to work.
"Alright, Gobber. We'll see later" said Valka.
The four of them continued their tour of Berk until Snotlout landed a few feet in front of them.
"Hey Mag. Is it alright if I call you that" Snotlout asked him.
"Sure, some of my old friends called me that" he replied.
"Cool. Anyways, me and the others are gonna have a dragon race. Wanna come" Snotlout asked him.
"A dragon race, huh? OK, should be fun" he replied.
He got on Lightning and then glanced back at Valka.
"Thanks for the tour of Berk, Valka" he said.
"Oh, it's not a problem. Good luck in the race" she said.
They both flew off to the others. They got to the starting line where the other dragon riders were waiting.
"Alright, basic dragon race. First one to make circle the sea stacks 3 times wins" said Fishlegs.
"Sounds easy enough" said Magmar.
"Yeah, but don't count on it. Me and Hookfang got this in the bag" said Snotlout.
"OK, if you say so" said Magmar.
"Wait, why are you grinning" Tuffnut asked him.
"Oh nothing. Don't worry guys, let's have a good race and may the best dragon rider and dragon win" he replied.
Fishlegs and Meatlug decided to sit this race out and just watch while the others got into position.
"OK, on your marks! Get set! Go" Astrid shouted.
They all took off and immediately, Magmar and Lightning were ahead by a mile.
"What the?! How are they so far ahead already" Snotlout asked.
"Guess I'll get my answer when I catch up to them" Astrid replied.
She and Stormfly quickly flew ahead of the others and was soon right behind Magmar and Lightning.
"Hey! How'd you two do that" she asked him.
"Do what" Magmar asked her.
"Get so far ahead of us so fast" she replied.
"Lightning has his name for a reason" Magmar shouted.
Then, to Astrid's shock, they picked up even more speed. They both won the race and waited for the other dragon riders to finish.
"That was incredible" said Fishlegs.
"Lightning has his name for a reason, Fishlegs" said Magmar.
"I can definitely see that. His speed is on par with Toothless, maybe even faster" said Fishlegs.
Soon the other dragons riders finished.
"OK, how'd you do that" Snotlout asked him.
"Lightning has his name for a reason, Snotlout" he replied.
"You took off so fast. T-that kind of speed is on par with Toothless, maybe even faster" said Astrid.
Just then Hiccup and Toothless landed a few feet away from them.
"Hey gang, what's going on" Hiccup asked.
"Magmar and Lightning beat us all in a race" Snotlout replied.
"Really" Hiccup asked him.
"Oh yeah, not gonna lie. It was pretty easy" he replied.
"Anyways, you two follow me. There's something I need to show you" said Hiccup.
"OK, whatever you say" said Magmar.
