Hiccup and Magmar were flying away on Toothless and Lightning after Magmar and Lightning beat the others in race.
"Was Snotlout saying he was gonna win before the race started" Hiccup asked him.
"Yep" he replied.
"How surprised was when you and Lightning took off" Hiccup asked him.
"Blown away and very confused" he replied.
"Hah, that's Snotlout for you" said Hiccup.
"So, what did you want to show me" Magmar asked him.
"You'll see. Come on" he replied.
They soon landed in front of a newly built house.
"Nice house" said Magmar.
"Yeah, surprise" said Hiccup.
Magmar then realized what was happening.
"Y-you…you did this…for" Magmar asked him.
"Yeah" he replied.
Magmar just smiled and hugged him.
"Thank you" he uttered.
"It's not a problem, it's the least I can do. Feel free to go inside and look around. I've got a lot of things to do since well…I'm the chief" said Hiccup.
"A-alright" said Magmar.
Hiccup got on Toothless and they flew away as Magmar looked at his dragon.
"Well? Let's go pall" he said.
Lightning was excited as can be as they went inside their new house. It was well decorated with a fireplace, a big table with 7 chairs, a chair near the fireplace. They both went upstairs and saw a bed, a desk with a chair and a big place where Lightning can sleep.
"Wow…both of our lives have really turned around pal" said Magmar.
Lightning smiled and licked him again.
"Oh come on, Lightning" said Magmar.
Lightning laughed as Magmar wiped his face again.
Meanwhile…
Maeve was in front of her armada, riding her Buffalord.
"Everything is all set and ready, Matron Maeve" said Fuld.
"Yes, we're all stocked up, the dragons have their harnesses on and we've packed as many cages as we can carry" said Askari.
"Excellent! Set course for Berk, immediately" she ordered.
Her generals and every other dragon hunter on board set course for Berk.
That night, Magmar and Lightning were having nice leisurely flight.
"Look how far we've gotten pal" said Magmar.
Lightning nodded while Magmar was lying down on his back.
"You and me went from being nobodies to an unstoppable force" said Magmar.
Lightning smiled and nodded. Just then, Hiccup and Toothless flew up right beside them.
"There you are. I was wondering where you'd gone" said Hiccup.
"Oh, hey Hiccup. We're just having a nice relaxing flight, that's all" said Magmar.
"It's alright. Me and Toothless do this too from time to time" said Hiccup.
"Yeah, it's really relaxing. Helps clear your mind, you know" said Magmar.
"Of what" Hiccup asked him.
"Oh, my old village. Sometimes I wonder how things are back there. It's been over a year since I was banished" he replied.
"Did your village ever have a problem with dragons" Hiccup asked him.
"Sometimes, but nothing to serious. Just the occasional Nadder, Gronckle, Zippleback and Monstrous Nightmare" he replied.
"By the sounds of it, they're all probably OK" said Hiccup.
"Yeah, somehow they always are" said Magmar.
"You seem upset about something" said Hiccup.
"It's just…they never really killed any dragons, just chased them away from the village. So I was shocked when they banished me for befriending Lightning. Just because they won't kill dragons, doesn't mean they like them apparently" said Magmar.
"What was your family and friend's reaction" Hiccup asked him.
"Well, my parents were disappointed in me and my friends couldn't believe I did something like that. They didn't listen when I told them that I did something good, so I told them that this is goodbye then. After that, me and Lightning left" he replied.
"I'm sorry to hear that" said Hiccup.
"Don't be. Them banishing me did more good than harm honestly" said Magmar.
"I think it did" said Hiccup.
"Well…we'll see you tomorrow, Hiccup. Goodnight" said Magmar.
"Goodnight" said Hiccup.
Magmar and Lightning flew back to their house while Hiccup and Toothless flew back to theirs.
The next day…
Magmar was sitting down with Lightning near the Great Hall, when Astrid approached them.
"Hey guys" she said.
"Oh, hey Astrid" said Magmar.
"Enjoying the view" she asked him.
"Yeah, it really is beautiful" said Magmar.
"So, what do you think of Berk" she asked him.
"It's a wonderful place. I love being here" he replied.
"Yeah, it's a one-of-a-kind Dragon and Viking paradise" said Astrid.
"You can say that again" said Magmar.
"When you and Lightning were on Eel Island, what did you eat while he ate eels" she asked him.
"Oh, Lightning ate eels while ate any fish he caught. A win for both of us" he replied.
"Did any wild dragons bother you" she asked him.
"No, Lightning just ordered any wild dragon that came across us to back off" he replied.
"Still can't believe that Berk now has two alphas" said Astrid.
"Neither can I. Lightning and Toothless share the title of alpha, instead of fighting for it" said Magmar.
"Wait, really" she asked him.
"Oh yeah, split down the middle, Fifty-fifty" he replied.
"That's great" said Astrid.
"Yeah, it…" Magmar stopped talking.
"What, is something wrong" she asked him.
"I see several ships on the horizon" he replied.
"What" she asked.
Magmar got up and looked through his spy glass. There was an armada of dragon hunter ships with someone riding a Buffalord on the front.
"Maeve and the armada I told you all about" he said.
He handed Astrid his spy glass and she looked through it.
"They're here" she said.
"Go get Hiccup and others, we've got company" he said.
Astrid got on Stormfly and they left to go get the others. Magmar got on Lightning and they were soon in the air, waiting for the others to arrive.
"This is it pal! Get ready" he said to his dragon.
Lightning growled as the spines on his tail came up.
