Chapter 1 LAW: New Law
His vision was completely black. Suddenly he felt a warmth drawing him closer. The warmth felt comforting and full of kindness. He waved his hands reaching out for it.
"You've returned…", he jumped as he heard a familiar voice.
The man was Flynn. He looked around as he pushed himself up. He was back in the honeycomb structure with Jonathan and Gabriel. The monks regarded the two rogue Samurai wearily as they hastily stood up facing them. An arm was put in front of them though. They turned their attention to an unfamiliar person.
The person was a woman with short blonde hair and light blue eyes. She wore a bizarre white suit and no shoes. Flynn and Jonathan froze as they woman gave off a strange vibe. Her presence felt extremely comforting like nothing they've ever felt before. It was not some sort of manipulation either it felt…genuine.
"Zelenin…What are you doing here? You're supposed to be by G.O.D.'s side.", Gabriel questioned as the woman briefly glimpsed back at them.
"They do not believe in annihilating Tokyo. No…I can feel in their hearts they want to bring order of Mikado to Tokyo.", Zelenin replied.
Gabriel narrowed her eyes, seeming unamused.
"G.O.D. said to destroy Tokyo.", Gabriel replied.
"Are you so certain? I have been by his side for awhile now and I've seen how bizarre his orders have become.", Zelenin explained.
"…umm…Who are you?", Flynn asked awkwardly.
Zelenin looked back over to them with a smile that caught them off guard.
"I am Zelenin. A human turned angel. I was once one chosen by G.O.D. just like Jonathan. And…well we have met before Flynn, but you were too young to remember.", Zelenin replied.
"You ascended to being an angel?! That amazing!", Jonathan replied as he gaped.
Flynn looked completely stunned at Zelenin's words. He tried to think of when he could have possibly met an angel before he could remember. Then he came to a sudden realization…
"You…are you the angel that saved me and my family?", Flynn asked with wide eyes.
Zelenin nodded and Flynn was taken aback.
"Thank you…Madam Zelenin. You don't know how thankful I am…", Flynn replied, relieved to see the angel that saved him was still around meaning Angel 07 lost.
"You don't sound like you agree with Gabriel. It's like Michael said the angels seem divided on what G.O.D. wants.", Jonathan said.
"You're right I don't. It's not right for those who aren't sinners to be punished. They're are certainly some in Tokyo, but that doesn't justify destroying the whole city. I have another way.", Zelenin explained as the Samurai looked relieved.
"What hersey!", they heard a voice boom making everyone stumble.
Behind Gabriel appeared the translucent form of a dragon resembling Judgement Dragon. Its feathers were messy and polluted to a gray color. Zelenin tensed and Gabriel glared at them.
Flynn's eyes widened as his head suddenly hurt.
Flashback
The spirit disappeared as Flynn inserted his deck into the gauntlet. His eyes widened when a strange grey fog entered his vision. Within the fog were silhouettes of two figures, a winged man and a dragon. The image disappeared as soon as he had it. Notably putting the top card of his deck in the extra deck slot.

"Judgement Dragon?!", Jonathan gasped, with wide eyes.
"If it has been decreed by G.O.D. it shall be so.", Judgement Dragon? said as his eyes glowed a menacing red.
"…your feathers…something is wrong with you. Don't you see there's something wrong here, Gabriel?", Zelenin said.
Jonathan walked up feeling unnerved to see the dragon in this state. He put his hand over his heart and Flynn put a hand on his shoulder.
"This change is G.O.D.s will. I am now Punishment Dragon. To fully materialize myself in this world I need one chosen by G.O.D. to unite with me.", Judgement Dragon? said.
"That's not happening!", Flynn said as he got in front of Jonathan protectively which deeply touched him.
"I don't fully know what's going on, but I refuse to destroy Tokyo. With our efforts we can make Tokyo as peaceful as Mikado. If it will stop this madness…let's duel! If I win we'll save Tokyo!", Jonathan replied.
"Then…if you lose we shall unite and destroy Tokyo.", Punishment Dragon replied.
"Is this woman truly an angel…? She speaks of such rebellious and blasphemous words…", Hugo grumbled.
"If you want an example of G.O.D.s contradictory orders. He sent me here to these warriors of light to guide them to saving Tokyo. Yet…he also ordered the angels here to destroy Tokyo.", Zelenin replied and Hugo grumbled.
"What exactly do you intend to do?", Flynn questioned.
"My song can purify the evil from people's hearts. Though, to keep mankind on a virtuous path indefinitely they will need proper guidance. The angels can all lend a hand in that endeavor. It has already been done in another universe.", Zelenin replied as Flynn's eyes widened.
"Can…you purify me?", Flynn asked and the other looked taken aback.
Zelenin smiled before shaking her head.
"You don't need purification, Flynn. Your heart is already just. The fact that you were able to make in on this path proves you have already conquered the darkness in your heart.", Zelenin replied as Flynn looked stunned.
He shook in disbelief at Zelenin's words. He never expected that kind of response. Her words went against all the doubts he's had about himself.
"I told you that you have purity, Master Flynn.", Burroughs replied as Flynn's cheeks became flushed and Jonathan smiled.
"If you were truly as horrible as you think you are, you wouldn't ask to be purified. Those who need purification the most don't want it.", Zelenin replied.
"Do you really think that lowly of yourself, Flynn? You are one of the most upstanding fellows I've ever met.", Jonathan replied as Flynn tried to hide his blush.
Zelenin turned over to Jonathan floating over a card engulfed in light to him before the duel started. Another floated over to Flynn who cradled the card in his hands.
"What is this?", Flynn questioned.
"A blessing from G.O.D. despite what you may believe he hasn't abandoned either of you.", Zelenin replied, before Jonathan returned his attention to the duel about to start.
Those words made them both feel immensely reassured though. That they were right and that G.O.D. was truly a benevolent being. Clear Wing sniffed the card feeling a bit skeptical of the angel's words. Jonathan put the new card in his extra deck. Flynn's eyes were wide as he saw the card in his hand.
"G.O.D. is with us…I pray that's true. If it is…please lend me your support.", Jonathan thought.
"Duel!/Holy Duel!", Jonathan and Punishment Dragon said.

You can only use this effect of "Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn" once per turn. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY.
"I shall activate the effective of Raiden allowing me to send the top two cards of my deck to the graveyard.", Jonathan said.
The cards sent were: Wulf and Lightsworn Sabre.
"The effect of Lightsworn Sabre when it's sent from my deck to my graveyard. I can equip it to a Lightsworn monster I control and have it gain 700 attack.Then I will chain the effect of Wulf activates, allowing me to special summon him. I choose Wulf to equip it to.", Jonathan said.

Effect: Equip only to a "Lightsworn" monster. It gains 700 ATK. When this card is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Lightsworn" monster you control; equip this card to that target.

The monks looked worried seeing this line up of monsters. Father Adrian silently watched the duel secretly praying for their victory.
"I shall activate the effect of Power Tool Dragon! Mystic Armorment Roulette!", Jonathan said.
The cards revealed were: United We Stand, Mage Power, and Double Tool C .
"I shall pick the middle card.", Punishment Dragon said.
Jonathan revealed Mage Power.
"I shall set a card and equip Power Tool Dragon with Mage Power.", Jonathan said.

"Then I shall end my turn.", Jonathan said.
"It feels so wrong to be facing him…this must be how Walter felt when he had to duel Dark Gaia. Speaking of…where exactly is he?", Jonathan thought.
"It's nice to see the new generation has grown this strong. It would have been great to have the Samurai when the Swartzvelt was around. Unfortunately they weren't alive yet though.", Zelenin thought.
"For the Lord! I draw!", Punishment Dragon said as a wild wind blew nearly kicking them all off their feet.

The dragon glared intensely at the Samurai. They felt like his gaze went straight through their souls as if they were about to be judged. He looked at them like they were complete traitors.
"I shall activate Allure of Darkness allowing me to draw two cards and then banish one. I choose
Lyla, Twilightsworn Enchantress.", Punishment Dragon said.

Effect: Draw 2 cards, then banish 1 DARK monster from your hand, or, if you do not have any in your hand, send your entire hand to the GY.

"Twilightsworn…?!", Jonathan questioned, with wide eyes.
"It looks like Jonathan's Lightsworns…but they're corrupted.", Flynn commented.
"False! They are not corrupted. They have been purified by G.O.D. I activate Jain's attack allowing me to banish a Lightsworn monster from my hand or graveyard then have one of your monsters lose 300 attack times its level. I will choose Power Tool Dragon and banish Gragonith.", Punishment Dragon said.

"Gah! He's trying to banish away my monsters?!", Jonathan said.
"It may be more than that.", Flynn said as he tensed.
"Indeed. I activate Card Destruction.", Punishment Dragon said.

Effect: Both players discard as many cards as possible from their hands, then each player draws the same number of cards they discarded.
Jonathan winced when he was forced to discard his entire hand as well. When the spirit drew this time there was a fierce wind.
"Be careful.", Zelenin warned.
"Now, that I have four banished Lightsworn monsters. Divine inquisitor of our great Lord G.O.D. I descend! Delivering punishment to the vile sinners who dare to defy G.O.D.! Level 8! Punishment Dragon!", Punishment Dragon chanted as the area around them rumbled.
For the moment a darkness blanketed the field and the sound of a trumpet could be heard. It echoed throughout their souls signaling the end. The only one who was straight faced was Gabriel while Zelenin looked wary. As the darkness cleared, Punishment Dragon looked down at them ominously.

"I can pay 1000 life points to shuffle all cards in the graveyard and banished cards except Lightsworn monsters into the deck. Shalt Not Resist!", Punishment Dragon said as a wave of darkness swept the field.

"I shall activate my continuous trap Solemn Wishes.", Jonathan said.

Effect: Increase your Life Points by 500 points each time you draw a card (or cards).
"I shall set a card and attack Power Tool Dragon with Jain!", Punishment Dragon declared.
The knight swiped at his weakened dragon making it stumble.
"I activate the effect of Power Tool Dragon letting me send a card equipped to him to the graveyard to protect him.", Jonathan countered.

"Now…prepare to feel the wrath of G.O.D., son of man. I shall attack Power Tool Dragon! Hexagram!", Punishment Dragon declared as he fired a beam at the mechanical dragon.
The dragon tried to guard, but the beam went clear through him and Jonathan's eyes widened. He reached out for Power Tool Dragon and a single tear fell from the monster's eyes before it was banished.

"I end my turn. You do not stand a chance, son of man. All you have left is to embrace your fate.", Punishment Dragon said as Jonathan's eyes were shadowed.
Flynn and Zelenin looked at Jonathan with concern as he shook.
"Let's become Samurai together, Jonathan.", those words from a familiar voice rang through his head.
"I want to be a Samurai no matter what! So, I can protect the people!", he remembered his child self tell Asuma before he smiled.

Asuma LP 4000 - 5300 = 0
Asuma's eyes widened as the drill went straight through the monster and he backed up. The drill started glowing a fierce crimson as it spun faster and the dragon thrusted the drill forward going straight through Asuma and shredding his guts. Jonathan gasped his eyes wide in shock as he suddenly had control over his body again. He ran forward without thinking, trying to heal Asuma.
"I just have to heal him! Then, we can patch things up and everything will be alright!", Jonathan thought.
He put his hands just above Asuma's stomach. He didn't care if he passed out or died; he was determined to save him. But, nothing came out. He struggled trying to squeeze out his spiritual power, but nothing was happening. Jonathan paled, unable to understand what was going on. He rested so he should have his strength back.
"It's just like what's happening with Isabeau! Her powers aren't working either!", Nozomi informed him.
"N-no! This can't be right!", Jonathan said as Asuma was choking on his blood.
He couldn't even say anything to him and he was dying so agonizingly slow.
"Please tell me one of you have a potion!", Jonathan pleaded.
Unfortunately, they all shook their heads. They had run dry a while ago since they've been dueling for hours. Jonathan cried as he looked down at Asuma.
"I'm sorry…", Jonathan apologized.

Jonathan's hands formed into a fist before Flynn smirk. Golden energy started building around Jonathan surprising them.
"What kind of trick is this?", Punishment Dragon questioned.
In his mind Jonathan saw the Samurai that saved him and the woman who defended him from Mazera.
"Jonathan…please live.", were her words.
Punishment Dragon flinched when he suddenly found a strange electricity going through him as if he was affected as well. Jonathan stood back up glaring at Punishment Dragon as his eyes appeared golden like when he summoned Judgment Dragon.
"It's not over! Surrender isn't in my vocabulary! I draw!", Jonathan said as a powerful wind blew and a trumpet could be heard.

"Since I have four unique Lightsworn monsters in my graveyard…O divine dragon of our great Lord G.O.D. I beckon you! Deliver punishment to the vile sinners abusing the weak and bring salvation to those who believe! Level 8! Judgement Dragon!", Jonathan said as lightning crackled from the heavens.
Everyone's eyes widened and Flynn raised up his fists.
"You can do it, Jonathan!", Flynn cheered.
A beam of light cleared away the darkness in the room making many shield their eyes as trumpet out be heard. Out from the light emerged the familiar Judgement Dragon who roared scoldingly at his counterpart. Punishment Dragon growled before roaring back.

Effect: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 4 or more "Lightsworn" monsters with different names in your GY. You can pay 1000 LP; destroy all other cards on the field. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 4 cards of your Deck to the GY.
"I shall activate the effect of Judgment Dragon! You should know it well! Final Abaddon!", Jonathan declared as Gabriel sweat.
"This can't be…you are defying the Lord so how…how could you have his blessing?!", Gabriel questioned.
"It's as I told you earlier, Gabriel. Jonathan is his chosen so he is enacting G.O.D.'s true will.", Zelenin replied as Gabriel narrowed her eyes.

Light cleared away the entire field including Punishment Dragon who winced as the light enveloped him. He returned back to where he sat before.
"Now…I shall summon Glow-Up Bulb.", Jonathan said.

Effect: If this card is in your GY: You can send the top card of your Deck to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Glow-Up Bulb" once per Duel.
Gabriel's eyes widened, stunned at his play.
"No…", Gabriel said.
"I shall tune Glow-Up Bulb and Judgment Dragon! Please lend me your blessing…so that my mystical dragon of gold may evolve! Evolve even further so that your drill may pierce the forces of Hell! Synchro summon! Level! Power Tool Braver Dragon!", Jonathan chanted.
They were stunned as a golden light enveloped the monsters. The roar of the Crimson Dragon could be heard as out from the light emerged an enhanced Power Tool Dragon. His wings were now bladed and his hand became a massive drill and his claw covered his entire hand. His armor had red glowing markings. He emerged dramatically from the light with his eyes glowing red. Around the dragon there was a ring of flame before it flexed and roared clearing away the flames.

You can only use each effect of "Power Tool Braver Dragon" once per turn.
"When this monster is special summoned I can equip up to three equip spells from my deck or graveyard to it! I choose United We Stand and Broken Bamboo Sword! Holy Zenith Evolution!", Jonathan said as he held his hands out in the air.

Effect: The equipped monster gains 0 ATK.
There was no luck needed anymore instead the cards were equipped straight to Power Tool. He gained a golden arrow and his claw hand held the bamboo sword.

"I shall activate the effect of Glow-Up Bulb sending the top card of my deck to the graveyard to allow me to special summon it.", Jonathan said.
Jonathan smiled when he saw the card sent was Wulf. Punishment Dragon and Gabriel's eyes widened in shock.
"You must stop, son of man! Your actions are defying the will of the Lord!", Punishment Dragon said.
"I shall activate Wulf's effect allowing me to special summon him!", Jonathan said.
Power Tool flexed letting out a mechanical roar as his aura surged.

"I shall attack you directly with Power Tool Braver Dragon! Golden Spiral Lancer!", Jonathan declared as the dragon thrust its drill forward.
Punishment Dragon LP 4000 - 4900 = 0
The drill glowed golden as it spun faster and the glow of his marks intensified. The dragon flew forward at intense speed like a jet.
"Wandering soul lost in darkness be purified by the light!", Jonathan said as his eyes glowed more intensely.
Punishment Dragon cried out as he was enveloped in a golden light. The gray of his feathers were washed away, turning back to their original color. He fell to the ground having returned to his original form. Jonathan's eyes widened as he unconsciously walked forward. Flynn walked up next to him watching the dragon warily.
"Judgment Dragon!", Gabriel called out as the dragon lifted his head.
Judgement Dragon's eyes were on the concerned Jonathan.
"Thank you…warrior of light.", Judgment Dragon said as Gabriel looked stunning.
Jonathan smiled brightly relieved to see Judgment Dragon was okay.
"What happened to you?", Jonathan questioned.
"There is a war in Heaven. Not just with Lucifer's forces, but also a civil war between the forces of Heaven themselves. This conflict was caused by something happening to G.O.D. I don't know what's wrong, but I think Lucifer has done something or some other force is trying to manipulate us.", Judgement Dragon explained.
"They want to destroy G.O.D. and his forces through this sabotage? I suppose it makes sense. Like Michael said, why would he want to kill his own followers?", Flynn said.
"That's…", Gabriel murmured.
"You have been deceived. Someone is trying to take advantage of the angels' absolute obedience so that they might cripple both G.O.D. and his forces. As things stand we need to all work together so that we may get to the bottom of this.", Zelenin explained.
"I suppose…you and Michael must be right then…I will gather the angels here and have them led their aid.", Gabriel finally relented and Father Adrian smiled.
"You boys have done a great job.", Father Adrian said.
"We're going to find Isabeau and fix this mess.", Flynn replied as he smiled.
"First we must save this world. Your Tokyo has been overrun by spirits after Lucifer activated the Yamato Reactor. Unfortunately time moves differently in the White World so it has been over a week in Tokyo's time.", Zelenin said.
"Lucifer?!", Jonathan questioned.
"He's taken the form of the one you know as Hikaru. As you may know he often disguises himself to trick humans.", Zelenin replied.
"So she's Lucifer…she's the one who manipulated Issachar then killed him.", Flynn thought as he frowned deeply.
His fist shook, feeling angered he couldn't see through her manipulation until it was too late.
"I will avenge you Issachar.", Flynn thought.
"I'll register that as a new quest!", Burroughs said adding the quest 'Tokyo's Peace Unto Eternity'.
Flynn felt worried about everyone back in Tokyo. He desperately hoped that everyone they left behind was okay. They didn't have any time to waste and headed to the terminal immediately.
When they walked through Shinjuku's terminal they saw the place was in shambles without a human in sight. The Samurai's eyes widened and Zelenin grimaced.
