In another corner of the bridge the rangers stood and Kimberly inspected her morpher, but before they could respond, an alarm rang out through the bridge.

"That's the warning alarm", Jason began, "Zedd's sent an attack force to Earth. Xi bring the disturbance up on screen", he said. The rangers saw a battalion of Putties causing mayhem in downtown Angel Grove. "Let's go" Trini said. The teens ran off the bridge.

Angel Grove

As the residents of Angel Grove took shelter from the advancing Putties, those that looked up to the sky would have seen five colourful blurs flashing overhead. The MMPR rangers were already in battle. Immediately the MMPR rangers focused on them and charged towards the Omega rangers, "Looks like we're fighting against two forces", Jason said to the others. He summoned his Omega Sword and immediately stabbed the chest of a putty. He then used the weapon as a sword and sliced through two more putty, leaving them inactive. Then had to take out Rocky and Billy

"Alright let's see what I can do", Zack began, "Omega Krunei", he called and a long black and gold blade with a chain appeared in his hand.. He tripped up a pair of putties before plunging the sharp end of the lance into their chests. He spun the krunei over his head before turning in a wide circle, disabling several Putties in the process. Aisha also was taken out

"Omega Axe", Trini called and a yellow hammer appeared in her hand. It was extremely light and much easier to wield. She quickly decapitated a Putty before kicking the severed head like a soccer ball into Matt the green ranger. She ducked Adam's kick before taking him out.

"My turn", Kimberly said, "Omega Trident", she called to summon her special weapon, a blue trident. She swung the trident, instantly destroying some Putties. She backflipped away from Kat before stabbing her at point blank range into her abdomen. Tommy had just enough time to look at Kat before he was kicked to the ground.

Jason looked over his new team and saw they were all managing well with their new powers. To be on the safe side he decided to make a call, "Jason to Spectrum".

"Hearing you loud and clear Jason", Xi replied.

"How's everything looking?" he asked.

"From what I can tell everything looks fine", Xi began, "to be on the safe side I'd like to run the data when the battle's over".

Jason saw that the last of the Putt had been defeated, "Looks like that'll soon", he began, "we'll be back onboard shortly". The MMPR rangers had teleported away.

The others strolled over towards Jason, talking amongst themselves as they went, "Man that was awesome", Kimberly exclaimed.

Zack bent down to pick up a discarded hand from a putty, "Gimme five bro", he joked.

Underneath his helmet Jason laughed at the interaction between the three, perhaps having Kim on the team was a good call " Good job everyone", he began, "I've spoken with Xi and everything looks ok". He looked around at the remains of the putties, "who clears this up?"

The others shrugged, "Not sure", Trini began, "never really asked if I'm honest".

"Probably the city workers", Kimberly added, "that would explain why taxes are so high in Angel Grove".

The rangers laughed at the blue rangers joke before teleporting. As they took off, they failed to notice Ecliptor lurking in the shadow of a nearby building, "So the Omega Rangers are on Earth", he muttered to himself, "I'd better inform the Princess of this development straight away", With that he teleported away in a flash of green and black light.

The Spectrum ii

Back on the ship the rangers gathered inside the hub awaiting the final word from Xi. After several agonising minutes Xi walking in with a piece of paper in its hands, "Good news, I detected no anomalies so you should all be good to go".

"I think this calls of a celebration", Kimberly called out, "how about a round at the...", her voice trailed off.

"Youth Center?" Trini completed for her, she nodded in response, "what are we going to do now we can't hang out there".
