Warframe Beyond the Origin
ESKK: New chapter let's begin.
(Start Space Dog Fight)
The Railjack was seen flying through space as both the forward guns were in use. To reason behind it was simple a battle was going on as Vulture Droids were seen flying around attempting to take down the attacker as the Railjack easily weaved and avoided the attacks. Manning the controls Zed was seen in Umbra as the Tenno was showing why he was the best pilot while down in maintenance Aya was ensuring the ship had everything in needed while patching any holes in the hull that may show up.
As Zed drove, he glared at the Separatist ship they were attempting to nail as they had been hired to deal with it. The pay was good and had provided the Tenno a way to make ends meet while in this space. This ship had been one of many that has been attacking Republic Medical Stations and thus needed to go down yesterday. Zed of course had a team on the inside to take the shields down so they can use the forward Artillery to destroy the ships power core and watch as the entire thing went off in an explosive fury.
As he continued to drive the ship, he opened a channel to their inside team losing patience with them. "Akin what's taking you so long!?" Zed called out wanting to know why the inside team was taking so long.
(Inside the Ship)
"Well, we got stopped by the local security force!" Akin called out as he was currently using Nekros Prime for this fight as he fired another Droid with Tigris Prime. "Getting to the objective is getting a bit harder on our end!" Akin called out as laser and gun fire went off around him.
Titus roared out through Atlas Prime as he slammed the Tekko Prime gauntlets against another Droid tearing into it. Nearby Mirage Prime operated by Mari was firing off her twin pistols the Akbolto giving Titus needed cover. At least that was her plan, but the Tenno was starting to get annoyed with the obstacles and felt Titus was taking too long with his side of things.
"That's it!" Mari called out and thus activated the ability of Mirage called Prism and in turn sent a flying Prism that fired lasers everywhere. The Droids acted fast and tried to avoid it but alas it was for naught as many of them were sliced by the beams they tried to avoid. The hall was soon cleared of enemies
Any remaining stragglers were dealt with by Titus as he used Atlas Prime to its full advantage. Once the path was clear the trio entered the Power Room and began to cut power from the Shields. Using her Parazon Mari got to work and made sure to be fast about it knowing time was of the essence for them. "And... done." Mari announced and thus unplugged from the computer.
"Let's get out of here!" Akin called out and thus the group were on the run intent to escape before the Separatist caught wind of their espionage or at the very least more than they already had today.
(Later outside the Ship)
The Tenno continued their battle when from the ships airlock three Arch Wings were seen flying out with Warframe's on them. "Zed!" Akin called out through the communication. "You're clear to fire!" Akin called out and in turn Zed flew close to the group.
"I need someone on those guns!" Zed countered and thus the three Warframe's flew over to the Railjack.
"On the way!" Akin called out as he led Titus and Mari to their objective.
(Inside the Railjack later)
The Three Tenno entered from the hatch and ran to their stations. Titus and Mari took a gunner position each as Akin got to the forward artillery. Once he was in place Zed piloted the ship to position while Akin began to take aim. To make sure they did not get disturbed Titus and Mari fired at the Vulture Droids as they had no idea the damage the weapon was about to do.
The weapon charged up as Zed saw from his end the lasers preparing to drop their payload. Eventually Akin opened fire upon the spot marked for destruction and in turn blasted a hole through the ship's hull. The result was the engine being hit and with it the entire ship began to blow up. The Railjack turned around and flew away as the Separatist Ship eventually exploded leaving nothing but scraps behind.
"Mission accomplished sending word to the Republic. The Separatist now know there are new sheriffs in this system." Cy announced as they began to fly off to safety.
"And with it our payment." Akin said as he came out of the Artillery seat while everyone began to gather at the Navigation Port. Their Railjack took a few hits but all in all would survive for the next battle. Just needed to buff out those scratches and recalibrate the weapons before their next Railjack mission.
(Scene Break Orbiters)
The Tenno arrived back at their Orbiters and were going over their payment which was of course food and medicine to be brought over to the Origin System. Of course, Credits were added as well for their own upkeep and supplies which was a huge help to the Tenno. As the Tenno sat around in their varying Orbiters as food was of course served. The Tenno hardly had need to eat anymore but they still did so if for no other reason than to remind themselves what it was like to be human.
Just then a communication came through which got the Tenno's attention. "Operator you are receiving a call from -THOSE ARROGANT- The Jedi." Ordis said and thus Zed sighed and swallowing the rest of his meal let the communication come through. From the Navigation port of his Landing Craft Zed saw the images of Master Yoda appear on screen with Mace Windu.
"Ah Tenno heard of your success we did." Yoda said as he knew the Tenno took out the Separatist ship targeting a Republic Medical Station.
"Thank you but I doubt this is about sending words of praise, correct?" Zed asked as he looked to the Jedi.
"No, it's not we run into a new problem that may require your skills to deal with." Windu said and thus Zed was interested.
"Well share." Zed said and in turn they began to mission briefing.
"We have discovered from our spies, the Separatists seem to be constructing some sort of weapon upon a world under Separatist Occupation," Windu explained as Zed noticing something in his tone that didn't sound good to him as he soon ask, "Is there something about this planet that worries you or something?"
"Talon VI a forest world, it is" Yoda explain as Zed nodded as he get the idea of the mission, as Windu went on explaining, "We don't know what the weapon is exactly, but we fear it maybe a weapon or what it is capable of but I do not want to find out what the Separatists plan to do with it."
"Wait, if you know the location, how come you don't know what the weapon is then?" Zed asked as Windu soon show on a map that came into view as he said, "There seem to be an impenetrable barrier that cover the entire area where the Separatists had set up with base, with no known way in."
"And you hope that we could find a way through it then?" Zed asked as Yoda said, "Done many great things, you have. A talent you possess, you do. Believe that you can we do."
"Alright, sense you put it that way, we'll take the job with our usual payment in agreement," Zed said as Yoda said to him, "Thankful to you, we are."
"No problem, but now onto the question is there any sort of group or team that will be waiting for us when we get there that will support us?" Zed began as he wanted to get all the information. "And while we're on the subject any information of how many droids that we could be facing?" Zed asked as Windu said, "There will be a Clone troop force there with Jedi master Luminara Undulli and Jedi knight Barriss Offee to cooperate and coordinate with, while we cannot confirm how many droid forces there will be, but an estimated guess of 3 battalion."
"Not a problem I guess, I'll give everyone the update of this mission and prepare while we head toward Talon IV," Zed said as Yoda said to him, "Very well, may the force be with you."
Soon enough the call end as Zed gave a sigh as he said, "Doesn't that only work if you have the force with you in the first place? I don't understand that saying. Orbis, send a message to the others and tell them we have another job."
"Understood operator," Orbis said as he soon sending out the message while Zed turned back to his meal and said, "I can eat the rest later, better gear up."
(Talon IV)
Upon the forest area of the planet as 5 Landing Crafts came through the atmosphere of the planet. The clone troopers saw them flying in as he got on their communicator as he said, "The Tenno has arrived."
The five ships came in near a camp site of the republic Clone forces were at, as the two Mirialan Jedi came out from their tent to see the Tenno landing outside the camp.
(Zed)
Once again within his Excalibur Umbra as he picked up his, Ambassador for his main weapon and Twin Grahkata as his side weapon, and of course he had skiajati sword at his side for his melee weapon as he said, "Let get this over with."
(Titus)
Titus gotten his Grendel Warframe fight with, while equipping his Masseter for his melee weapon as it works well with his Grendel. Meanwhile he picked up his Hek as his main arm weapon and the Detron for his side arm as he put those weapons away while he said, "Time to take a bite out of those droids… no that doesn't sound good. Oh, time to see how much of a bite I can take, yeah that sound better."
(Akin)
Akin decided to go with his Gauss Warframe for this mission to see how well it would do as he pick up Akarius for his side arms, and the Acceltra for his main weapon, and of course he picked up the Dual Heat Sword for his melee weapon as he gave them a test swings before sheathing them as he said, "Oh yeah. That's what I am talking about."
Grendel and Gauss worked well together which was hard to understand. The Tenno commonly tried to have their gear complement each other much like with Gauss and Grendel. At the same time, it can be argued that Nova and Rhino worked well together Nova with the Warframes ability to create two-way portals and Rhino due to his passive ability to create a shockwave from long falls.
(Mari)
Mari choice her Ivara Prime while picking up her gear being Baza Prime for her main arm, Aksomati Prime for her side arm, and Orthos Prime for her melee weapon as she gotten everything together as she said, "Ready to go."
(Aya)
Aya is in her Nezha Prime Warframe once more as she just felt comfortable using it, while she pick up both Guandao Prime for her Melee weapon as she give it a spin before putting it on her back before picking up Zakti Prime for her side arm, then she grab her main arm weapon Paris Prime, it hasn't fail her yet as she held it and said, "Easy mission, destroy a weapon and go home happy."
(outside)
Outside the Orbiters both, Jedi waited for the Tenno to come forth. One by one the magnetic point flipped over with each Tenno dropping out from them. As Barriss Offee saw them she knew this would be her first official meeting with these Tenno she heard so much about, but her shock as she didn't sense their presence.
They were there but it like they presence in the Force was hidden from her. Now while Luminara Undulli was calm about this, as she already knew the situation with the Tenno, but it didn't make it easy for her of not sensing them through the force. All that the Jedi Master got is just a Void where the Tenno should be. Just then Zed stepped up to her as he said, "Hello, the Tenno are here upon the request from the Jedi order."
"Welcome though I shall confess I was expecting you to arrive with Republic Troops." Luminara said as she looked to the Tenno.
"From what I gathered Republic Forces are spread thing, they're gathering what they can, but it will take time, time you may not have much of." Zed explained as he looked to the Jedi Master. "So, what is the situation?" Zed asked and thus Luminara looked to the five.
"Come." Luminara said as she gestured for the Tenno to follow her. As they followed the Tenno noted the trenches dug up as well as the damage this battle was doing to the land around them. With this in mind the Tenno made plans on how to deal with this and wondered if they would need their Nechramechs for this battle.
(In the Tent)
"We had originally come here in response to a cry for help from the local populace when their planet came under Separatist Occupation." Luminara said as they sat around a table with a map of the battleground. "We had no idea it would devolve into a siege upon their fortress until after the fact." She explained to the Tenno giving them an update on what was going on.
"The Siege wasn't even on the agenda until you found out about the weapon, didn't you?" Titus asked as he looked to the Jedi with his arms crossed.
"Yes, we had intercepted a communication from the fortress it wasn't much, but we do know the Separatist were talking about a weapon." Luminara said as the Tenno thought this over.
"So, this siege is to either capture or destroy the weapon, isn't it?" Aya asked as the Nezha Prime User saw where this was going.
"Precisely." Luminara said and thus Zed crossed his arms and thought it over.
"With how long this siege is going, by the time you breach the barrier the weapon may already be operational." Zed mused as he tried to think of something. "Akin Mari, I want you two to head out and do some scouting on the area around here and near the fortress see what you can dig up." Zed began as he looked to the two.
"Got it." Akin said as he exited the tent.
"I got the forest area." Mari said and thus the two departed from the tent.
"Zed, was it? We've already performed scouting and haven't located possible entry points." Luminara said but Zed begged to differ.
"Let me guess researching map data of the area?" Zed asked and thus Luminara nodded to this.
"Yes, my Padawan has memorized the area thoroughly." Luminara said but Zed had a counter for that argument there.
"Yes, data but there are paths not on regular maps." Zed added and thus showed he had an idea.
(Later with Akin)
A group of Battle Droids were out scouting the area as they knew well enough of the siege. "Why are we out here looking for Clones?" One Droid complained as they trudged through the dirt. "I mean they won't be breaking the shield anytime soon so why bother?" It asked as to show a point another blast hit the barrier and yet still did not bust through it.
"Yea!" Another Droid complained no doubt wanting to go home and power down for a bit.
"Shut it we have our orders!" The Droid said as its team sighed.
"Roger-Roger." They said with a tired sigh no doubt wanting to go home.
Just then out of nowhere the Droids were blasted apart as if something plowed through them. It was Akin in the Gauss Warframe as he was running through the battle like a rocket. As Akin past through the field he was searching for an alternative means of entry near the base while plowing through Droids turning them to scrap as he did so. "I'm fast yes I am." Akin taunted as he kept the speed up and then saw a large group next to a wall.
With a smirk Akin picked up the pace and slammed into the wall causing a shockwave of kinetic force to blast the Droids apart leaving Gauss totally unharmed. Checking his battery charge he saw he built a good charge for his Warframe and thus opted to save it if he can for later use. "Too easy." Akin taunted as he did a few stretched until he heard more Droids.
"I think it came from here." The Droid said and thus Akin went wide eyed.
"Uh-oh." Akin said and thus grabbed a Droids severed head and used Mach Rush again to make his escape before the Droids arrived.
(Meanwhile with Mari)
Mari was making her way through the forest as she kept her eyes on her scanners for enemy activity. So far all was clear and as she moved about the female Tenno made sure to keep recording her scouting in the event, she needs to send her findings to base immediately. as Mari continued her mission, she noticed the scene reminded her of one of the battlefields from the Old War.
Damages were less and there were to Warframes, and Sentient remains on the ground, but it was only the calm before the storm. She then heard blasts from afar suggesting the siege was still going and brought herself back to the present. The Old War was over, and they won best not to focus on the past and keep moving forward. That was her plan of course until Mari began to heard movement nearby getting her on edge.
Heading in to investigate she kept her weapons primed and ready for whatever it may be. She then arrived at a clearing and in turn went wide eyed over what she saw. There standing before her even if they were not fully there were Sentient scouts. Acting fast Mari took out her scanner and began to scan the two Sentient beings so she had something to show the others. Then as expected the Sentient drones flew off and vanished to parts unknown making Mari worried if a Sentient was on the planet.
Just as she was about to return to base Mari heard more movement and took aim only to be surprised when she saw a small group of people standing before her bearing weapons of their own. "Who are you?" The supposed leader asked as he glared at Mari.
"Mari a Tenno who are you?" Mari asked as she glared at the foes.
"I ask the questions!" The leader snapped glaring at Mari. "Are you Republic or Separatist?" He asked showing he wanted answers from the Tenno.
"A neutral party hired by the Republic to provide aid." Mari said as she looked to the gathered Rebels. "If you don't believe me, I can lead you to the nearby Clone Troopers who can confirm my story." Mari added as she looked to the Rebels.
"And how do we know you won't lead us into a Separatist ambush?" One of the Rebels asked and thus Mari rolled her eyes to this.
"You don't but right now I'm trying to find a way INTO the enemy camp so unless you want to help and in turn have the Republics aid can we skip the Q&A?" Mari asked as she started to get a bit annoyed with the Rebels. She then looked up and saw clouds beginning to gather and thus knew what was coming. "And can you decide soon so we don't get wet and muddy?" Mari asked and thus the rebels began to look to each other with concern.
(Later back at Camp)
It started to rain as the siege continued as intended opting the Jedi and the Tenno to hide out in the tents until the storm passed over. In one of those tents Zed, Titus, and Aya were outside of their Warframe's waiting for Mari and Akin to return from recon. "Ok here me out, would you rather Bang Padme Amidala, Riyo Chuchi, or Ahsoka Tano?" Titus asked as the Tenno were around a small table with a few rations with them.
"Ok Titus... you are one of my best friends, but I need to ask for my sake... why is that almost every time you open your mouth something stupid comes out that makes me want to strangle you?" Zed asked as Titus shrugged to this.
"He's got a point Titus I mean look at us we're eternally trapped in the bodies of children outside of our Warframes bar the Drifter who got lucky and retained an adult body." Aya said as she looked to the Tenno. "If we were to have ANY sort of romantic and/or sexual relations it would been seen as all sorts of wrong to the people around us." Aya said as she was being realistic about their current situation as Tenno.
"The fact you're trying with two of them being public figures makes me question you at times." Zed said as the group were having one of their regular discussions to pass the time.
"Ok I get it I'll shut up about it." Titus said as he crossed his arms and pouted. Just then Titus chuckled a bit as he looked outside the window. "Heh, you know this siege reminds me of the battle of Mars before the collapse." Titus said as he looked to the continued fire on the enemy shields.
"You mean before Akin became known as the King of Mars, right?" Zed asked as he smiled to Titus.
"Yeah..." Titus said as Aya had another bit to add.
"By the way how did you figure out it was Akin using Inaros so long ago?" Aya asked as she looked to Zed.
"Wasn't that hard, Akin hated slavery, he hated the Orokin, and he hated how they took slaves for their Continuity. Wasn't that hard to put the pieces together." Zed said as he began to laugh a bit to this.
"Wonder how Baro Ki'Teer would react if we ever told him Akin was the hero his mom told him about so long ago." Titus wondered aloud as he looked to his friends.
"I'd say 50/50 chances between two plausible responses." Zed said as he looked to his fellow Tenno. "It's funny though for a Kid who hates Sand he and the Inaros Warframe worked really well together." Zed said with a small chuckle until movement was heard from outside.
"Ah you guys gossiping about me?" Akin teased as he looked into the tent before using Transference to get out and join them for a meal.
"Yeah, we're just talking about how despite hating sand you work really well in it, Desert King Inaros." Zed teased a bit and thus Akin rolled his eyes a bit.
"Still never gonna let me live that down, are you?" Akin asked as he took a ration stick before he took a bite out of it.
"Never." Titus responded with a small chuckle.
"Well, it's not like it was ill earned you did a very good thing for those people." Aya said before they all grew silent.
"Yeah, one of the few good things we managed to do before clocking out." Titus said as he still remembered the Collapse of the Orokin Empire. The things they did to the Orokin in both defense and in vengeance. "Geez time sure does fly, doesn't it?" Titus asked as he looked to one spot that for them had always remained empty ever since Rell had to be put down.
"Yeah." Zed said as he still remembered how their group of friends came to be. "To think for us it all began with a game of Lunaro." Zed trailed off before movement was heard outside the Tent. From the flaps Mari stuck her head in and looked to her fellow Tenno.
"Back in your Frames guys we got a new plan." Zed said and thus for them it was go time once more.
(Later in the main tent)
The Tenno were back in their Warframes as they were listening to what the Rebels had been saying. "So, you and your people have been using a secret tunnel to get in and out of the city undetected?" Luminara asked as she looked to the Rebels with a calm look.
"Yes, it's an old tunnel that goes directly under the city and in turn passed the shield." The Rebel explained as the Tenno looked to the map.
"So, I'm guessing the plan is that we send in a small strike team in to crawl through the sewer, make our way to the shield Generator, fight off any defenses in the way, blow up the shield generator, and then have Republic Forces swarm in and overwhelm the enemy before securing the Separatist Weapon?" Zed asked as he looked to the Jedi General.
"That would seem advisable." Luminara said and thus that was all Zed needed to hear.
"Alright team let's go." Zed said surprising Barriss and Luminara with that.
"Wait your just going to go in like that?" Barriss asked as she was shocked by this.
"No offense Barriss but with your outfit it may be difficult for you to get through the sewer if we have to start swimming, this is about practicality after all." Titus said as he looked to the group.
"Just have your troops ready to move in when the shield comes down." Akin said before looking to the Rebels. "So, anything you can tell us about what's inside?" Akin asked and thus the explanation began.
(Scene Break the Ancient Sewer)
The Five Tenno were going through the old Sewer using the information the Rebels had provided them. "I can't believe I'm saying this but thank you Ballas for not giving us the ability to smell with our Warframes." Titus said as he was up at the rear of the group. "Otherwise, we would be smelling whatever Void Forsaken smell we discovered down here." Titus said as they continued down the path.
"Says, the guy using Grendel the Voracious eater." Akin quipped as they continued through the path until they came across a wall of ruble.
"Well, here's that damn wall they warned us about, now what?" Mari asked and thus Zed knew what came next.
"We swim." Zed said and thus dived into the water.
"I was afraid you were going to say that." Aya said and thus she dived in after Zed followed by the others.
(On the other side)
The Tenno rose form the water one after the other before they began to make their way to dry land. Once they got there, Zed grabbed Umbra's scarf and rung out the sewer water from the fabric. "Ok Tenno, here is the plan." Zed said as they all huddled up together. "Our mission is to neutralize the shield and secure the weapon." Zed began as he began assigning tasks. "Akin I want you to take Titus and find the shield Generator and destroy it." Zed said as he pointed over to the pair of males.
"Got it." Akin said as Zed then looked to Mari and Aya.
"Mari, you and Aya are with me. We need to make locate the weapon and secure it." Zed said and thus had one more bit to add. "A warning to both teams, thought. If any of you locate Sentient scout's, make visual confirmation but do NOT engage." Zed warned them knowing full well they could not risk exposing this Galaxy to the Sentient threat.
"Right!" The Tenno all responded and thus they began to climb the ladder to the surface area.
(Later with Zed's Team)
Zed broke open a vent and dropped down quietly with Aya and Mari in tow. Once they were in Zed had his fist up warning them to hold position. Zed had Ambassador at the ready while Aya had Zakti Prime out and Mari had Baza Prime ready. Once they scanned the area Zed motioned for them to follow as they began to move forward through the enemy camp.
They in turn began moving quietly making sure none of the Droids caught sight of them as they moved. The Tenno traveled through the halls making sure to keep to the shadows as they made their way to where the Separatist Weapon was rumored to be held. Every so often they had a few guards show up, but it was nothing that the Tenno could not handle but had opted to keep quiet. If one of the Guards went MIA alarms would no doubt be raised over the loss of a single Droid.
It didn't take long for them to find the door and thus cursed seeing that it was locked. "What now?" Mari asked and thus Zed looked to the droids guarding it.
"I have an idea." Zed said and thus quietly began to move to the two guards.
Eventually Zed made it to them and thus proceeded to silently kill one of them with the Skiajiti. The result was his Warframe turning invisible as the Droids ally only saw his partner collapse. "B126 what's wrong?" The Droid asked showing how stupid it was only for Zed to move behind it. Once he was their Zed activated his Parazon and began hacking into the Droid who yelped in shock.
Once the Droid was hacked, the Tenno leader reprogramed a few sequences and once he was done disconnected from it. "Open the door." Zed ordered and the Droid nodded.
"Roger-Roger." The Droid responded and thus opened the door for them deactivating the security functions of it.
"Let's go." Zed ordered to his team and thus Aya and Mari went after Zed to the door. But as Mari passed by the Droid, she proceeded to slice it up with her Fang Prime Dual daggers before they moved on into the Weapons holding location.
(Later inside)
The three Tenno were making their way in staying quiet and subtle as they did so. But as they moved it became clear of another sound echoing around them and it was a sound, they were familiar with. "Is it just me or does that sound like digging?" Mari asked and thus the Tenno began to move to the location of the digging.
Once they got to the location the Tenno were soon met with the sight that shocked them. This wasn't a construction zone this was an excavation site which meant the Separatist found something that they didn't want the Republic finding. "They're not building a weapon their excavating one!" Zed said and thus Aya used a scanner to get a closer look.
"Zed I'm seeing markings on the target consistent with that of the Sentient." Aya said as she then began scanning the object and cross referenced it with other known Sentient made objects. "It's an old Orphix a Sentient insertion unit." Aya said as she looked to the object in question.
"And if it activates, we won't be able to use our Warframes." Zed said as he knew what this meant for them. Yes, their Warframe's were basically training wheels for their full power, but it also helped a great deal on missions.
"And more so it may send a signal out calling in its friends." Mari added and thus they knew what needed to be done.
"We need to end this dig now." Zed said and thus they began looking around for something to use.
"Think those explosives will be good enough for a cave in?" Mari asked pointing to the Explosives.
"Maybe if we have more fire power to use." Zed said and thus he saw a few more canisters they can add to the mix. "Thinking what I'm thinking?" Zed asked as he looked to his friends/teammates.
"Oh yeah." Aya said as she knew they knew how each other thinks at this point.
"How many should we each grab, 6, maybe 7 explosives?" Mari asked with Zed answer as he said, "Let make it 12, to make sure it really gets bury that no one can dig it back up."
"Got it," Aya said as with the sound of metal feet marching coming towards their location as Mari said, "Well I guess we're about to have our supply brought to us."
The trio look and saw a medium size squad of droids coming up as they just stood there and waited as the droids spotted them as one said, "Hey are they one of ours?"
"How stupid can these things be?" Mari said as whoever program these droids did a piss poor job of that that they can't tell a Warframe from a droid as Zed said, "Pretty stupid, let's go."
Suddenly all three of them rush the droids as Zed drew his sword as he was going for close range to avoid destroying what they needed as commander droid said, "Blast them!"
The girls split up from Zed as he charged down the middle of the droids and slash across their neck area within a split second, as the small group of them suddenly stop with their head suddenly drop forwards with their body falling back.
On Mari side as she came in close, she pulled out her Fang Prime Twin Dagger weapon. She spun around and with her speed slashed through a few droids with ease as they fell without a problem. Over with Aya pulled out her Zakti Prime while taking aim at the droids carefully as she ran and shot each droid in their heads as they fell back from the first shot. Unlike the Corpus drones without any shield around the droids they were easy pickings.
With the few remaining droids around as they ran for their life as one said, "These guys are too much for us, call in reinforcements!"
"Roger-roger!" another said as they got on their coms to call in for help as Zed saw this and said, "Perfect."
(Titus and Akin)
The two male Tenno were going across the city as they look for their shield generator, with a squad of droid came rushing up around the corner, the two quickly hidden themselves as the droid squad ran by as one said, "Intruders at the dig site, execute target onsite."
"Roger-roger!" all the droids said as soon as they all pass, Akin and Titus came out of their hiding spots as Akin said, "Sound like Zed and the girls are having fun."
"I wonder what they meant by dig site thought?" Titus said as Akin said, "Who knows, if we can knock out the shield quickly, we can join them and help out."
"Yeah, but where is this shield Generator even at?" Titus question as Akin look up to the sky and take a guess as he said, "Well if I had to guess, it must be at the center where that cone shape is forming at."
Titus came next to Akin to see what he sees as he saw the cone and saw he could be right as he saw a wave of energy that form the shield that came up from the cone and spread out around the barrier itself as Titus said, "Think they have something protecting it?"
"No doubt about it," Akin said as he prepared himself for what's to come while he said, "But they won't know what hit them."
(Zed, Aya, and Mari)
More droids came while a lot of them were being… literally slaughtered as Zed ran between some as he slashed his sword with ease while also taking a few grenades off their bodies as he said, "I got 9."
Mari was flipping in the air with her melee weapon in hand as she landed, she quickly sliced off the head of a few droids while snatching some of their grenades as well as she said, "I got 10, two more to go. How about you Aya?"
Aya is seen knocking down a droid as she put an arrow in its body before picking up its grenades while she said, "Full 12 set here."
"Then get them set up and place them around, see if you can set the explosives for a detonator, but get them placed in less than 2 minutes," Zed said as he cut down another droid as he took its Grenade off of it now, he has two more to get now.
Aya nodded in conformation before the female Tenno then rushed to the upper area as she set the timer on her grenades and getting them place as she does.
Mari came up between two droids and use her melee weapon to stab one of them in the chest decapitating the other taking both of them out with ease. AS the Droids fell before her Mari pulled their grenades off and said, "Got my 12."
"Good, after Aya is done, you go next. I will keep their attention on me," Zed said as he slashes his sword deflecting some blaster fire that came at him from the droids as they try to gain up on them.
Soon enough Aya got her bombs set with the grenades as she said, "Set!"
"Here I go!" Mari soon takes off as she planted her explosives as well with Zed taking on the group of Droids that came at him with a few super battle droids in the mix as they fire rockets at him, Zed quickly dodged them as they exploded.
"Better be careful with those, I can't let them damage the explosives," Zed said as he charged at them, knowing they won't use those rockets up close or risk blowing themselves up as he cut them down with ease and avoided some shots that came behind him.
Dealing with the Droids was the easy part as they made sure each Droid was disarmed or eliminated completely. It was a simple task for the Tenno and when the Battle Droids were dealt with the Tenno got moving to a safe distance. Once the battle Droids were dealt with the Tenno got ready for the next part of their mission. "Are the explosives all set?" Zed asked as he looked to Aya.
"Yeah, ready when you are." Aya confirmed and thus and in turn Zed nodded and took the detonator out. "Let's wait for some more Droids to get here take out as many of them as we can in one fell swoop." Zed said and thus the girls saw what Zed was planning.
"Got it!" Mari said and thus held the Fang Prime Twin Daggers at the ready while Aya drew the Guandao Prime.
(Back with Akin and Titus)
The group arrived at the shield generator and saw it was a whole station for it. No doubt using a lot of power it was probably the reason it was so strong. Looking to each other the chaotic pair had an idea on what to do and nodded. Starting off with Mach Rush while Titus went with Pulverize as he rolled through the area taking out any Droids in his way. As the Tenno moved the Droids were caught off guard by the sudden attack as soon Titus rolled up a ramp like spot and landed in the ground creating a shockwave before deactivating Pulverize. Once he was done Titus then used Feast and began to absorb the Droids into his gullet one after the other as he kept an eye on how much he had in his stomach/maw.
The Droids were panicked as they never knew they could be eaten, and Titus was making their worst nightmares come true a Droid that EATS other Droids. "Akin on me!" Titus called out and thus as Akin zoomed towards Titus the Grendel user used Nourish applying a small boost to himself and to Akin. Titus then proceeded to used Regurgitate to launch his lunch at the Droids while said lunch was covered in toxic acids.
Nearby Akin crashed into the wall releasing a shockwave from the impact before he began shooting the Droids as they flew back. Once that was done Akin then used Mach Rush for a small burst and got in the middle of a group of Droids. Once he was there, he used Thermal Sunder and in turn froze his foes before slicing through them killing them all. Looking at his battery Akin saw he was maxed out and in turn ready to use Red Line at moment's notice which was gunning for as Titus noticed something.
"Yo Akin we got company!" Titus called out and thus Akin smirked to the arriving Droids.
"I got this you handle the generator!" Akin said and thus went for his best skill with this Warframe. In turn Akin activated Red Line and zoomed straight for the Droids after a brief charge on the ability.
"Great no problem." Titus said as he then looked to the core. "Now how am I going to do this?" Titus asked wishing he brough Aya with them.
Meanwhile Akin was fighting and attacking the Droids as with Red Line his abilities were boosted big time. Akin began to slash and shoot through them as he saw how his battery was charging over the Red Line putting him into supercharge. He kept the speed going as soon he was releasing bolts of electricity now that his battery was Supercharged. Taking out each for as he went through it was clear the Droids were no match for the power that these Warframes possess. The battle continued as with each strike the Tenno slaughtered their robotic foes left and right as he was too fast for them to grab.
"Who needs a pod racer when I'm the fastest thing alive!" Akin boasted as he continued to slaughter the Droids. Seeing that a few Droids were left Akin zoomed towards them after he saw he still had a bit of charge left. Once he got close, he deactivated Red Line and thus sent the excess energy out hitting the Droids as he passed them destroying them.
Just then an explosion went off and looking to the source Akin saw the shield Generator exploding and thus the shield coming down. "Well, that's one way to take on a problem." Akin said as he soon saw Titus approaching with his K-Board active. "Used your Operator Form to do it?" Akin asked as he looked to Titus.
"Hell, yeah I did." Titus said with a smirk on his face.
(With the Clone Forces)
"The Shield is down move in to attack!" Luminara ordered and thus the Clone Forces moved in to take out the Separatist Base.
(Back over with Zed's teams)
"Ok that's a lot of Droids in place!" Mari called out and thus Zed knew what to do.
"Alright fire in the hole!" Zed called out and in turn triggered the explosives and thus one by one they all went off. "Move!" Zed called out and in turn made a run to the exit of the cave as it came down. Thankfully for the Tenno the damage was well contained as they exited the building the excavation was under. Around them Droids panicked as they ran away from the cave in that was occurring around them.
(Outside)
The Tenno managed to get out in time and thus slid to a halt with smiles on their faces. "Well, that was flashy." Mari said as they were grateful to be out of that situation.
They then heard more explosions and looking upward they saw Republic forces flying in as Separatists were in a dog fight with them. "Hey guys!" Titus called out as he and Akin regrouped with the rest of the team. "Shield's down!" Titus announced as they began to regroup.
"And the weapon is buried deep." Aya said as she then looked to the rubble.
"Wait they were excavating a weapon?" Akin asked as Zed nodded to this.
"That's not all the thing they were digging up was..." Zed began until a loud sound was heard that they were all familiar with.
"No." Titus gasped as they looked and saw the rubble began to rumble.
"That should have destroyed it." Mari gasped as the rubble kept rumbling. Soon a large part of the ruble directly over where the Orphix was located blasted out and in turn showed the Orphix was alive and worst of all active. Following it up was a wave of energy that washed over the Tenno causing them to cry out as they were forced out of their Warframes.
"Oh, come on!" Titus cried out as he saw what happened.
"Titus stop complaining we got bigger problems to worry about!" Mari called out as the Orphix got to work and began releasing Sentient onto the field.
"Yeah, a big ugly Orphix shitting out Sentient!" Akin yelled as clearly, he was not happy about this.
"Guys we need our Nechramechs on this." Zed said as he pulled up a holo image of his Gear Ring and thus sent over to the Nechramech Icon.
"Got it!" Titus said and thus one by one their Nechrmechs appeared. Zed, Titus, and Mari each had a Voidrig as Akin and Aya had the Bone Window Nechramechs ready.
As they used Transference the Nechramechs activated and thus were ready for battle. "Ok you know the drill find the Resonators take them out to punch a hole in the Orphix defenses and then shoot it the Hell." Zed said and thus the Tenno with a nod got to work. Splitting up to cover more ground each of the Tenno went for one Resonator while Zed stayed behind to handle the Sentients that were coming out.
(Akin)
"Ok if I were a Resonator where would I be?" Akin asked as he followed the Resonators signal to its hiding spot. Looking around he saw the spinning object powered by Sentient energy and smirked. "Bingo." Akin said and thus saw a few Sentient drones protecting it. "Oh, please just try it." Akin said and thus the Sentient began firing lasers at Akin who used his Bonewidow to slash through them and shoot up whatever remained of them. The task was simple enough but nothing like using his Warframe.
Of course, once the Sentient were dealt with Akin charged at the Resonator and then proceeded to destroy it causing a ringing sound to resonate and caused damage to the Orphix. "In the words of Vilcor I hope you felt that back in Tau!" Akin called out before he then made his way back to Zed.
(Mari)
Mari was firing her way through the Sentient as she saw her target was close by. Making sure not to waste time and also keep an eye on her weapons heat to prevent it from overheating. Continuing down her path Mari kept up the fire power before she saw her target within sight. "Hello." Mari greeted and thus activated her Voidrigs ability, Guard Mode and in turn unleashed her Nechramechs full power on her target. Once the Resonator was eliminated, she smirked and deactivated Guard Mode.
"Got it." Mari said and thus began to travel to where the Orphix was and where Zed was holding off the main group of Sentient.
(Aya)
Aya was making her way to her target as she had Shield Maiden active while doing. So, finding the Resonator was not as hard as normal since it wasn't on a Corpus ship like the norm. As Aya continued on with her mission she made sure to fire back at the Sentient who shot at her and slashed the ones that got to close to her. She then saw a larger Sentient foe coming at her and thus she deactivated Shield Maiden and used Meathook to skewer her foe. Once that occurred the second bit of Meathook activated and began to siphon out the Sentient's energy and add it to her own.
"I'm really sorry about this but I do have a mission to complete." Aya apologized as she didn't like to fight if she can avoid it. A part of her had hoped the Truce between the Tenno and Hunhow would carry on to the other Sentient but alas it would not be the case with them. Aya then saw the Resonator and in turn threw her victim at it. When the victim hit the target, the impact caused as blast and brought the Resonators defenses down.
Charging at it Aya roared out and slashed through the Resonator destroying it and weakening the primary target even further. With her work done Aya began to head on over to the Orphix as she was ready to finish this once and for all.
(Titus)
"OUT OF MY WAY!" Titus roared out as he charged at the Resonator with his Voidrig while Sentient were piling onto him one after the other. Grabbing them Titus forced them off and kept moving as he thankfully had his Stormshroud active for this. Once he got close, he grabbed the Resonator and saw how its spinning form grinded against the hands of the Nechramech creating sparks. Seeing he was still being pinned he activated the ability, Gravemines and took out both the Resonator and the Sentient getting in his way.
Once he was clear Titus then grabbed another Sentient and dropping his Mechs gun he grabbed the Sentient by two ends. Following it up with a wrathful roar he tore the Sentient in two killing it as he dropped its, remains on the ground. With the area clear Titus ran to the Orphix intent to end this.
(Back with Zed)
Zed roared out as he took out the Sentient fighters that came his way one after the other. Making sure to be fast about it he kept firing and even used his Voidrigs ability, Necraweb, to slow them down. Just then he heard the final echo and thus the Orphix opened its body to reveal its core. "Bingo." Zed said as he saw the Orphix was trying to summon more Resonators. Zed then looked and saw the others show up and thus knew it was now or never. "Let him have it!" Zed called out and thus the three Void Rigs activated their Guard Mode abilities while the two Bonewidow activated their Exalted Ironbride and thus sent everything they had on the Orphix core. The shots hit their target as the Orphix was losing power until it eventually cracks began to form.
The Orphix stopped its glow and thus much to their joy the entire thing went up in a blaze of glory much to the Tenno's joy. "Yes, we got it!" Titus called out happy for the win. Just then Republic ships flew overhead as Separatists began to fall back.
"And that is our queue to extract." Zed said and in turn returned to Umbra as his team also returned to their own Warframes. Once they were set, they began to run off and head to extraction which thankfully was close by their location.
(Scene Break Later with Luminara)
The battle was one another planet liberated from Separatist control. Truly Luminara was grateful for that but as it stands, she was meeting with the Council on her holotable as the Clones were packing up to depart while leaving a small battalion behind to help with a peaceful transition.
"So, the weapon was destroyed?" Luminara asked as the Tenno were on the table via a hologram as they did not stay for the rewards.
"Yes, securing it became impossible due to its size thus we had to destroy it and prevent the Separatist from activating it." Zed lied as he looked to the Jedi.
"I see." Luminara said as she found oddly suspicious.
"Thank you we do, payment awaits on Coruscant it does." Yoda said and thus the Tenno ended the communication.
"I fell something amiss." Luminara said as she looked to Yoda and Mace.
"Agree I do through their Void with the Force peer we cannot." Yoda said as it was obvious why on that account.
"We should withhold asking for their aid for a time." Mace said as he felt it was for the best.
"Perhaps." Yoda said and thus Luminara nodded.
"I will have a full report upon my return to the Temple." Luminara said and with a nod the Jedi understood.
"Await you we shall." Yoda said and thus the communication link came to an end. This puzzle that is the Tenno was becoming more and more of a concern as the question remained who or what exactly were the Tenno and why do they hold such secrets to themselves. Was it simply a case of trust or was there something ominous in the works? Master Windu was correct they should withhold requesting their aid for the time being at least until they can better trust these... Tenno.
(Meanwhile Unknown Location)
Deep inside a cave something ancient began to stir as it felt one of its fragments destroyed by a familiar foe. A glare of a shadowy light was seen as the entire cave began to rumble over the feeling it had detected. "TENNO!?" The creature the Sentient rivaling Hunhow in size roared out as one thing was certain the Tenno and Sentient were still a great deal away from making any form of peace between each other.
