Hey Walter? Did you know that if you accept Lucifer, you will be reduced to a tumor on his arm? Jonathan only gave his body to an arrogant angel, but you turned into a freak.-Lucian Naruto

That's why he's defying Lucifer. Well…He doesn't know that would happen, but you know.

"I'm…A monster…An abomination…", Flynn murmured, shakily

One thing Isabeau could have done to shut Flynn up and make him stop thinking nonsense would be to plant a kiss right on the mouth.

Isabeau: I would never kiss a monster, but you? I will kiss you until the last day of my life.

Hehehe!-Lucian Naruto

Well there was no way Flynn would be enthused, be transformed into a spirit and completely unrecognizable to his original self. Or you know become undead meaning that he would outlive Isabeau and they can no longer have children together. But, yeah her reaction and others were a big part of it too. He thought if Isabeau saw him like that she'll think he gave into his desire for power and was a lost cause. Not to mention most people and spirits looking at him like a monster didn't help his self image. He does actually look quite cool though. His armor does at least we don't know what Eldlich looks like under his armor. You can see what he looks like if you look up the Yugioh card 'Eldlich the Golden Lord'.

Many may think that Gaston was an a, but honestly after learning his side, it's possible to understand him a little.

First the brainwashing the angels were manipulating Mikado's people, then all the pressure and stress his family put on him after what happened with Navarre.

No wonder he was like that.-Lucian Naruto

Yup, that's the point I was making. Gaston has had a very biased version of the story events told to him which has warped his perspective. From Gaston's perspective Flynn is a fallen hero who sacrificed his humanity and joined the enemy.

Jonathan... you idiot. But at least you didn't turn a tumor on someone's arm like Walter did. Hehehe!-Lucian Naruto

Well Jonathan and Walter didn't exactly willingly become Merkahbah and Lucifer in this au. As you may remember from law and seen in chapter 1 they were both forced into duels to keep their bodies. Jonathan simply lost in chaos and Walter lost in law.

Do you know my friend? Every time I see an angel call people 'Filth' in this story, I wonder.

Walter: Who are you calling Filth?! Let you know that I shower every day!

These angels deserved to hear such a response with someone mocking them.-Lucian Naruto

Lol. I that's why made sure to have Doomkaiser roast Merkahbah/Punishment Dragon.

Come to think of it, since this is Devil Survivor, Kazuya being 'Abel', this could give him the ability to summon other Bel demons, as if I remember correctly at the end of the game, he even summoned Beldr and Belial in the fight against Metatron.

It would be cool to see 'Bel' cards used by Kazuya.-Lucian Naruto

Oh he can, it just didn't come up. About the 'Bel' cards though there unfortunately isn't many good choices so I had to find a substitute. For example there is a one for one for Lucifer in Yugioh, but not Krishna. There's Cyber Angel Vishnu who is a girl and has 'angel' in her name. I personally didn't think Krishna would love to have an angel in his name and be a part of an angel archetype when he hates YHVH. So, I had to come up with that whole Doom Originator and Vishnu story to compensate and try to make it make sense.

Note: Neutral will obviously be longer than law and chaos so there's no reason to release it all in one. I will just update neutral normally.

Chapter 1 NEUTRAL: The Third Path

"Wake up…Please, why won't you wake up…?", Flynn's ears perked up when he heard a familiar voice.

His vision was completely black. Suddenly he felt a familiar presence drawing him closer. Feeling it made relief flood his senses. He waved his hands desperately reaching out for it.

He slowly opened his eyes and saw Isabeau was bent down over him. It seemed that they were in Kasumigaseki. Isabeau looked like she was on the brink of tears as she looked anxious.

"Isabeau…", Flynn murmured.

"Ah, thank goodness. I have been searching far and wide for you. Where have you been?", Isabeau said, sounding emotional.

Hearing the worry in her voice made him feel horrible.

"I was sent to some strange places by a group that calls themselves the White. There was one that looked like you for some reason.", Flynn replied.

"Hm…? The White? I met no one by those names. By the by, Flynn, are you alone? Didn't you get dragged into that portal with both Jonathan and Walter?", Isabeau questioned.

"I don't know where they are. They were with me before, but it seems we've been separated. You haven't seen them?", Flynn replied as he took in a deep breath.

He put his fists against his chest, infinitely relieved to see Isabeau was alright.

"Alas, Jonathan and Walter…I don't know where either of them have gone…Tokyo is now facing a terrible situation. With the gate to the Spirit World open and spirits swarming in. Everything is in chaos. What's more, an army of angels has established a front at Naraku to annihilate the spirits along with Tokyo. Open war is about to erupt between the angels and spirits…Who knows what's to become of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado and Tokyo in that event…The Monastery is defunct now. I have heard that Tayama is missing, and there's no way of knowing where Lilith has got to.", Isabeau said seriously.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she was overcome with emotion. Flynn held her shoulders after getting to his feet. He was determined to not leave her crying like that.

"I don't know who else I can turn to…But I'm glad I found you, Flynn. I simply don't know what to do…Won't you permit me to stay with you?", Isabeau said, shakily.

Flynn held Isabeau in his arms closely.

"As if you had to ask. Of course.", Flynn replied, with a kind smile.

"Thank you…!", Isabeau replied as she completely broke down in tears.

"I know you're worried about the fate of our fellows and your father, but I promise you Isabeau I will do everything in my power to save everyone.", Flynn assured as Isabeau cried onto his shoulder.

Elsewhere…

"Hehe. It's finally time for the show to begin, kid. That fool Flynn had picked the moron option.", a familiar voice said.

Suddenly there was a flash of green….

In Tokyo…

Flynn and Isabeau exited the room they were in and were met with Fuijwara, Skins, and various Hunters.

"Flynn, you're finally awake? You had us worried there.", Fuijwara said.

"Where exactly did you and those other two go?", Skins questioned.

They sweat dropped as the other Hunters crowded around Flynn.

"Please, Liberator you're our only hope!", Hunter 1 pleaded.

"We need your help to defeat the spirits!", Hunter 2, said.

Flynn looked overwhelmed to see them all crowding him. Anxiety welled up inside him especially when he saw how much they seemed to entrust into him. Suddenly there was a glow from Flynn's deck drawing their attention. A small golden orb started to form, drawing their attention.

"What's that…? It's so bright and warm like the sun.", Isabeau commented.

Flynn touched the orb as he felt a strange pulsing in his chest. Stardust Dragon partially materialized in front of him, seeming to be trying to say something as he roared.

"Stardust Dragon?!", Flynn questioned, perplexed as Clear Wing partially materialized beside him.

"It seems I will have to translate. The hope of the people of Tokyo seems to be gathering within you, Flynn.", Clear Wing said.

"Our hopes are in him?", Skins questioned.

"Belief is very powerful. It can even affect the gods. There's so much faith being invested into Flynn at the level that would normally be invested into a god.", Clear Wing explained after Stardust Dragon roared.

Flynn looked absolutely stunned that he could have that much faith possibly invested in him.

"…..Why me?", Flynn questioned and Clear Wing looked and the others looked at him like he was a dumbass.

"Who else, stupid?! You're the guy who saved Tokyo from the mad King, the Ring of Gaea, Tayama, and his Asura Kai. You're the guy who's defeated ALL the big bads. Of course that would make people put faith in you.", Clear Wing replied.

"Oh…I never noticed that.", Flynn replied obliviously as the others' sweat dropped.

"Of course you didn't, stupid.", Clear Wing replied as she sighed.

"It's only natural, Flynn. You've done a lot of good for everyone in both Mikado and Tokyo.", Isabeau replied, making Flynn blush.

Stardust Dragon roared again.

"Anyway, as he was saying…All that faith being invested into you might allow for a miracle to happen. Within reason of course. A feat that humans and most spirits wouldn't be capable of, but something that's still possible.", Clear Wing explained.

"Could I bring…", Flynn was going to say before he remembered what he said to his brother.

"No…I can't just go around trying to revive the dead like Doomking.", Flynn thought.

"Could I unite Mikado and Tokyo to allow them to coexist side by side?", Flynn questioned.

"What do you mean by that?", Clear Wing questioned and the others looked curious as well.

"I mean like…What if we moved Mikado like somewhere else? Like beside Tokyo instead of on top of it. Then, we can both have the sun and it would be a lot easier for us to travel and communicate.", Flynn explained as he made motions with his hands.

Stardust Dragon roared happily, seeming to like Flynn's proposal.

"The way you said it sounds bizarre, but…That could actually work!", Isabeau replied.

"I mean…That's not what I expected you to propose, but that is technically possible. I think that kind of feat would be possible with a sufficient amount of hope.", Clear Wing replied.

"That definitely seems like the best option. That way no one has to lose their home.", Fuijwara replied.

"Yeah that's fine with me.", Hunter 3 said.

"He had me when he mentioned we could see the sun.", Hunter 1 said.

"But, first before we can think about anything like that we need to deal with this new conflict.", Skins reminded.

"Of course. Let's go, Isabeau. Together we'll save Mikado and Tokyo!", Flynn said as the Hunters erupted cheers.

Isabeau smiled, feeling truly hopeful for the first time since Flynn and the others had left. He truly was a light of hope. His aura shined brightly as the orb became one with his spirit. Flynn felt strange at the sensation as he felt a strong warmth within his chest. His spirit felt completely invigorated and able to withstand anything. It made something spark within Flynn…A small wisp of divinity.

"Right, together!", Isabeau replied, with a bright smile.

The two Samurai left Kasumigaseki. They could hear screams echoing throughout the streets and sounds of conflict. Flynn and Isabeau mounted their duel runners before taking off.

In the Shadow Realm…

Doomking flinched as he touched his chest. He suddenly had the same feeling as Flynn. People were putting their faiths in him like they once did when they were Vishnu.

"Kalki is…Gaining humanity's faiths like I once did…", Doomking murmured.

That was the first time in millennia he felt like Vishnu. It was because of their connection he could feel that.

"They must be starting to see Kalki like a god. It's making his power grow…", Doomking thought.

However he then suddenly smirked.

"Mine as well. He still doesn't know that the stronger he becomes the stronger I will become as well. After all we are one and the same.", Doomking thought.

In Tokyo…

Nozomi staggered as she barely defeated the fiery spirit. Just as she did a massive spirit descended from the sky.

"Lousy human. Those spirits were gathering souls for me. Now, prepare to face my wrath!", the big spirit said as he held up his hand.

Lightning crackled from his hand about to strike her.

"This is it! I might have stopped the murders, but I'm dead!", Nozomi thought, before closing her eyes.

"Night Emperor Howling!", Flynn declared as the spirit was suddenly struck in the back stopping his attack.

Her eyes were wide in disbelief as she saw the Samurai appear. Flynn had materialized the evolved Doomkaiser. The spirit growled trying to get to his feet before Doomkaiser swiped his claws at him, sending him flying against a light pole.

"Who…Do you think you are human?!", the spirit questioned in annoyance as the zombie dragon huffed flames.

The spirit froze when he saw Flynn's face. He staggered back in disbelief.

"Hoy.", Flynn said, menacingly.

"T-That can't be! I've heard of you! You're the Champion of Tokyo who defeated a twelve star spirit!", the spirit said as he sweated intensely.

"Scanning…Flynn Alexander-Mallory, human, and a twelve star level threat.", Burroughs said as Isabeau looked amused.

"It seems you have a max threat level now.", Isabeau commented.

"Flynn…? Is that really you?!", Nozomi questioned with wide eyes.

He seemed to appear in the perfect moment like a hero in one of those stories. She was sure Flynn was like one of those heroes.

"It is. Now, leave Madam Nozomi alone or face me!", Flynn threatened the spirit in a serious tone as he raised his gauntlet.

The spirit flinched as he sweated buckets. It seemed that at this point Flynn's mere presence instilled fear in evil spirits. The spirit hastily flew away making Nozomi gape in disbelief.

"Hoy, are you okay, Nozomi?", Isabeau asked as Flynn helped her up.

"I am now. I don't know where you've been Flynn, but you've returned at the perfect moment.", Nozomi replied.

"If scaring off the spirits is truly that easy let's let the spirits know who's back in town.", Flynn replied as he smiled.

The Samurai continued driving through Tokyo and defeating spirits left in right with stunning speed. It all culminated when the screens of Tokyo all lit up. Instead of showing Tayama as it once did, it showed Flynn.

"Hoy, this address is to all evil spirits in Tokyo! I, Flynn Alexander-Mallory have returned to defeat you all! Many of you may have already realized after the example I made out of your fellow evil spirits.", Flynn said on screen.

Everyone in Tokyo watched this address paying keen attention.

In Shibuya…

A shadowed figure grinned in excitement as he saw Flynn on the screen.

"It seems you've returned from the White World as well, Flynn. It seems you're not wasting any time. I'd be surprised if I hadn't already heard complaints about you from my forces.", the figure said.

"But, not all spirits are our enemies. Any spirits willing to coexist with us should be left alone. Only the spirits that hunt and devour the souls of us deserve our ire!", Flynn said.

People watched the broadcast from various underground districts. Those from Kinischo's jaw dropped when they saw Flynn on tv after disappearing for over a week. Notably there seemed to be Nanashi there but…That couldn't be possible right?

"Oh damn…The spirits are about to get destroyed…", Nanashi? murmured with wide eyes.

"I can't believe it's really him! First you, now Flynn!", Asahi replied.

"Looks like he's declaring all out war on all those monsters...", Boss commented with wide eyes.

Toki watched the broadcast on the big screen from the shadows.

"The target has reappeared. Continuing with the mission.", Toki thought.

Abe staggered back looking freaked out as he saw Flynn on the screen. Hallelujah was completely stunned thinking he had died or something.

"Oh my…! That crazy guy's back?!", Hallelujah questioned, completely stunned.

Those near the Sky Tower were surprised to see the sudden broadcast. A Samurai who looked similar to Navarre's eyes widened when he saw Flynn. His fists were shaking.

"There you are! I don't know where you've been hiding all this time, traitor, but I'll bring you to justice!", the Samurai said.

In the room Flynn was in, something seemed to move audibly gasping. Whatever it was didn't seem to be heard by any of the occupants of the room.

"Damn…Flynn is always so bold…", the unknown thing commented unheard by anyone else.

Isabeau, Nozomi, Fuijwara, and Skins were in the room smiling.

The broadcast was even watched by Bethel in XYZ dimension. Koshimizu smirked seeing Flynn's sudden return.

"We must all come together! Those in Tokyo, Mikado, and all the good spirits! Together we can remake Tokyo and make it great again!", Flynn said as he pointed at the screen.

The streets of Tokyo were full of cheers. Odin had a strange smile as he watched with what looked like Manju unseen by the inhabitants of Tokyo.

"What perfect timing. Tokyo's hero has reappeared. So, now everything will soon be ready to go in motion…", Odin said.

"The sons of man will have a short harah before they will be reminded of why humanity should rely on the gods.", Manju added.

"Right, Flynn is only setting himself up to be the perfect pillar of humanity who once quashed will make every single one of them despair.", Odin replied as he smirked.

"It would be smart to let him defeat Lucifer and G.O.D.'s forces for us first. Once he clears away all our competition then the time will be right.", Manju replied.

"But before we can do that, all evil spirits in Tokyo must be defeated! I hereby declare war on all evil spirits trying to subjugate us! I shall not rest until humanity is free to prosper!", Flynn declared, with a dauntless gaze which pierced the confidence of lesser spirits.

The cheers got louder as Tokyo practically rumbled with cheers.

"Many of you consider me to be some sort of Champion or Liberator…", Flynn said, looking serious.

He held back the anxiety and doubt remaining inside him. If everyone believes in and is relying on him he'll just have to meet their expectations. All those long weeks ago he never imagined he'd ever be doing anything like this.

Flashback

"Yeah, what happened to 'all's fair in love and war'?", Issachar questioned, infuriating the samurai.

"Now, attack him directly, my monsters! Doomkaiser Dragon! Death Spectral Howling!", Flynn called out as both monsters attacked the samurai.

"No way…!", Issachar said.

Wilson LP 4000 - 2500 - 2400 = 0

Doomkaiser breathed purple flames that made the samurai fall on his butt. He gasped as the cards hidden in his sleeves slipped out. Flynn blinked as he suddenly realized he defeated the samurai.

"Wilson, what is this?", the samurai in white questioned.

"C-commander Hope?! You see this unruly Casualry-", Wilson said.

"Is now one of us. You showed great skill, young man. That gauntlet you're wearing now belongs to you.", Commander Hope said as he put a hand on Flynn's shoulder.

Flynn's became flustered at the commander's praise.

Flashback end

"Things have changed…", Flynn thought as he imagined himself at the beginning of his journey when he set off to the Gauntlet Rite and him now.

"So I shall accept that responsibility!", Flynn said as Odin smirked.

"He's done it.", Odin said as he looked over to the cheering citizens.

"To them he's practically god now.", Manju added.

Flynn couldn't believe he really said that. His heart was fluttering wildly against his chest. Suddenly a massive amount of hopes entered him from the people of Tokyo. He suddenly felt stronger than ever before as it shot through his senses like lightning.

"Woah…", Flynn thought, though he kept a straight face.

In Mikado…

An angel ran up to a shadowed spirit that resembled Judgement Dragon and explained to him what he heard.

"That filth's arrogance knows no bounds. He's really so prideful to believe that he can defeat all of us. He shall be struck down with prejudice. Send all the Samurai and angels you can to eliminate Flynn!", the shadowed spirit ordered.

In Shibuya…

"I can't wait for our duel, Flynn. Just thinking about it fills me with excitement. I shall destroy you for all of Tokyo to see and then bend you to my whim.", the shadowed spirit from earlier said as he rested his chin on his hand and smirked devilishly.

Suddenly a split perspective was shown with Flynn in the middle, a spirit with pale skin and long white hair on the right, then a spirit that looked like Judgement Dragon though its feathers were gray and messy.

The battle for the fate of all of humanity begins now.

"Bring the doom! Bring the doom! Bring the doom!", was cheered throughout the streets.

Flynn finally let himself blush intensely when he finally was out of the view of the camera.

"You did great, Flynn!", Isabeau said, with a bright smile.

"I hope so…", Flynn whispered, anxiously.

In the pond garden…

"Oh my god! I can't believe he said that!", Zombie Master laughed.

"It seems we have a lot of hard work ahead of ourselves. We need to lend him all our support.", Mezuki replied as he crossed his arms.

"I will give Master Flynn all the support I can!", Plaguespreader Zombie said as he waved his arms.

"It seems our little Flynn isn't a little boy anymore.", Ha Des said.

Goku En roared, seeming excited.

"This is so crazy…That kid really is going to change the world.", Spirit Reaper said.

With Flynn…

He had a quick look over his deck to make sure everything was in order. Isabeau could see his cards were in high spirits judging by the aura. Flynn checked himself to make sure he was still all tighty. It seemed he was intent on looking his best as Tokyo's Champion.

"Hoy, Flynn! There's some spirits making a ruckus outside!", Hunter 2 said, drawing their attention.

"I will be right there!", Flynn replied.

Isabeau watched as he ran ahead with a determined expression. She quickly followed after the reckless teen.

He stopped when he saw the spirits didn't seem to be attacking. Instead they were hiding behind Nozomi. Flynn looked over to Nozomi wondering just what was going on.

"These little guys said they need help. Apparently if we agree to save a spirit called Ancient Fairy Dragon all the non-angel fairy spirits will ally with us.", Nozomi explained.

"That's perfect we just came here to announce our allyship with humanity.", Ha Des said as he suddenly walked in and Flynn's eyes brightened.

The others were stunned to see zombie spirits crowd around Kasumigaseki. Ash partially materialized gasping as she saw how many there were.

"Everyone?!", Flynn questioned, feeling immense happiness.

"All hail Lord Flynn!", the zombie spirits cheered.

Flynn smiled brightly at their support. It seemed all his bonds were starting to pay off.

"Yeah…Everyone let's all coexist and stop the forces trying to cause mayhem!", Flynn replied as he raised up his arm.

He then fully materialized the joyous Ash who joined the other spirits.

"I can't believe you have all these friends! Thank you, Mr.Flynn!", Ash said as she smiled brightly.

"I kept my promise.", Flynn replied.

The Hunters were stunned that zombie spirits of all things were the first spirits to completely ally themselves with humanity.

"Damn…Lords really are amazing.", Nozomi commented with wide eyes.

"This is one step closer towards creating a better world for everyone both human and spirit.", Isabeau said as she smiled.

To be continued…
