Author's note

Writing this was a bit of a challenge because I'm trying to do a little world building, teasing a few characters or past storylines here and there, so far things are going at my pace. I researched some dbz lore that was never explored and I also did some research on Iron Fist on how he uses his ki, which gave me a few more ideas about the direction of the story. Hopefully you like it.

Chapter 4

In New York (Jameson residence)

It has been two weeks since May Parker-Jameson last heard from her nephew, and she was starting to get worried for the one she considered her son, raised by both her and her dear late husband Benjamin Parker. She sat distraught on the couch of her living room apartment shared with Jameson Sr; who was sitting right beside her, trying to console her meanwhile, telling her that Peter is fine, that the clumsy boy is probably stuck in a lab and forgot about checking in with anyone. Mayor Jameson Jr. could be seen not too far from the elderly couple, he sighed and sympathetically said, "Listen May, I agree with my father, Parker should be okay and he will probably come in front of you in the most random time" May just stayed silent looking down, but still registering her stepson's words. "How about this? Let's wait for a few more days, if he still doesn't show up, I'm going to ask officer Yuri Watanabe to look for him and I'll also ask Robbie for the Bugle to print Parker's name on the paper as missing." May looked up for the first time and smiled weakly and said, "Alright, Thank you so much Jonah for this, I can see why Jay talks highly of you despite your weird attributes" Mayor Jameson looked away embarrassed at what her stepmother said. "It's the least I can do for my father's spouse and besides I have been working with Parker since he was a brat in high school, at first I thought he was a snotty brat but I later realized that he was a good kid" JJJ admitted.

"Yes he is." May smiled as she thought back of Peter when he was 5 years old, holding her and Ben's hands, as they used to go for walks in the park. That little kid was the joy of Ben and May, he may look like his father but May believed she could see Ben in him, Peter was ultimately the last fragment of Benjamin Parker and she would do anything to keep that fragment alive and happy, even if it meant fighting the Hulk. Jay Jameson Sr. just smiled, seeing her wife's mood slightly improve and silently prayed that Peter would be back for his aunt.

Avengers Towers

The Avengers were walking to the hallway, where they usually held meetings, they just came back from a mission that was storming a recently found Hydra secret base. Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye could be seen arrogantly bragging to his fellow heroes about how awesome of an agent he is. "I'm telling you, those wussies nearly wet their pants when they saw us, well me more specifically" Clint smiled, while T'Challa AKA the Black Panther could only nod, not really listening to the purple-suited hero's silliness. Natasha Romanoff was adjusting her gauntlets, uninterested in everything around her. The heroes that were present at the time were Hawkeye, Black Widow, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, She-Hulk, Iron man, and lastly Captain America.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, please settle down." Captain America said, before continuing, "We're holding this meeting right now because Stark just found out a spike in crime rate, crime has risen in 2 weeks out of nowhere mainly in New York."

Black Widow, raised an eyebrow and said, "Okay? But what do we have to do with this? Don't we usually let the street-level heroes deal with petty crimes and whatnot and we deal with the world-ending issues"

Captain America sighed, "Normally that would be the case but I'm afraid our heroes are slowly getting overwhelmed by how unexpectedly crime has risen, I've just heard reports of how the Maggia got into a gang war with Tombstone's gang, many innocents died in the crossfire. There's also the issue with Black cat." Tony Stark put a picture of Black Cat on the screen, her sitting in some sort of throne surrounded by some henchmen and Hammerhead.

"Black cat? Isn't she 'his' bad-guy/girlfriend or something?" Hawkeye said frowning like the idea of mentioning Spider-Man would leave a bad taste in his mouth.

Tony smiled lecherously and whistled at Black Cat's figure and answered, "Well I can definitely say she is quite the bad girl" the females in the team slightly cringed at perving while the Captain warned, "Tony!" "Sorry Cap" Steve shook his head at his friend's attitude and continued with his report, "Black Cat is calling herself the new QueenPin of New York and has been hitting Wilson Fisk's old territories, she has been making quite the name for herself."

She-Hulk then asked curiously, "So why didn't that dumb webhead not deal with her already?"

Captain cleared his throat and said, "Spider-Man hasn't been seen for 2 weeks."

T'Challa, the king of Wakanda mentally deduced and said, "So Spider-Man disappeared and the crime rate increased? Have to say, the fact that New York is to be dependent on one man is both impressive and disappointing."

Hawkeye ignorantly asked, "Disappointing? How so?"

T'Challa expanded on his previous statement, "Well, the fact that a single vigilante like Spider-Man tackles most of what New York has to offer is outstanding, keeping in mind that New York is where most of the heroes are based. Yet the citizens like to depend on him. I'm not discrediting the other heroes but the level of influence he has on crime is terrific."

The rest of the team could only stay silent while Steve Rogers interrupted, "Speaking of Spider-Man, the younger one was recently engaged in a fight against the Black Cat and from what I've heard she managed to beat him but in the very last minute, Miles used his bioelectricity ability to stun her temporarily and later escaped by turning invisible. As he was running he could hear her shout to bring the real one next time"

"Ouch." said the Wolverine while chugging his beer, sitting laid back with his feet on the table.

Tony stroked his beard and commented, "Wow, to be able to beat the kid is impressive, then again she must have experience fighting against Spider-Man and alongside him too, they used to fight crime together for a while."

Cap then said, "Well I heard that Spider-Man was the one to put her in jail, they must've had some sort of falling out. Ever since she got out of there she has been trying to reinstate her street cred, from what I read through in the police investigation reports, the employees of Parker Industries said that she teamed up with Electro and attempted to unmask Spider-Man but that ultimately failed. The CEO of PI, Peter Parker that day, managed to fix Electro, sapping all of his powers from his body, but in turn, Electro's girlfriend who was present at the time got his powers and is now wreaking havoc around the streets."

"Wait, why would she need to unmask him? Doesn't she know his real identity, since they worked together, I'd think they would trust each other?" Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel pointed out.

"I assume they tried to stay professional." Captain guessed

"Oh come on, you can tell they used to bang! One is known to be an annoying chatterbox and the other is a seductress thief with a skin-tight catsuit, we all know that's his thing" She-Hulk bluntly said, rolling her eyes out.

Steve Rogers looked uncomfortable, while Tony and Clint looked slightly jealous, Black widow looked a little annoyed but didn't comment on it, the rest of the team seemed to be a mixture of impressed faces all the way to uninterested expressions.

Captain America broke from his uncomfortable stance and said, "Anyway, we have a list of supervillains we need to deal with and we also need to help out the street-level heroes and maybe we can ask them about Spider-Man and why he has been inactive since it's not something he would do." concluding his order to his team, they nodded following the captain's orders, although some were complaining about the last order, not really caring about where the stupid Web head is.

Steve couldn't help but respect the web-slinging hero, after hearing T'Challa's conclusion. Despite having problems with him viciously attacking criminals, supervillains and some heroes for a certain period of time but then claiming he was mind swapped by Otto Octavius, Steve was now thinking that maybe he and the others were too harsh on judging the young hero. Steve should have given him the benefit of the doubt, Steve could only sigh and hoped that in time maybe he and the team can mend their relationship with Spider-Man.

All the heroes got out of the meeting room, at the same time, Spider-Woman could be seen entering the lobby, looking tired and dejected, Steve went to greet her, "Spider-Woman, I was wondering where you were, when we came back from the mission, I was surprised to not see you"

Jessica replied, "Hey Steve, I have been busy, I just went to check on how Miles is doing after losing to Black Cat."

"I see, how is he doing?" Steve asked.

"He's doing alright, he was saying something about looking lame because he lost to the Black Cat," Jessica said amusedly.

Steve smiled, "Well she's an experienced criminal, What's important is that he's fine and alive to fight the next day. Jessica, I have a question. Do you know where the older Spider-Man is?"

"That's what I came for Cap, he is currently missing, he was accidentally transported in another universe, Julia, me, and the spiders are trying to find a way to find him with no level of success" Jessica replied sadly.

"What? Why is this the first time I'm hearing of this?" Steve asked sternly.

Jessica slightly glared at him and replied, "And what would you do if you heard it beforehand? As far as I know, everyone around here hates his guts, you don't trust him so who do you think would actually go their way to help him? Do you really think Tony or Hank would help him? And don't even get me started with the bastard Richards!" Jessica huffed from her outburst.

Steve had the decency to look ashamed as there was some truth to what the arachnid hero said but couldn't help but ask, "What happened with Richards?"

Jessica looked away from Steve and angrily said, "Well…"

Flashback to 2 weeks ago

Julia and the spiders, after leaving the Tablet with Dr. Strange they were heading to the Baxter building. As soon as they entered their floor, they could see in one section of this floor, a lab setting where Reed Richards was sitting on his desk working on a wand-like device, in an open dining room, Susan Storm-Richards was seen to be serving food to her kids, Franklin and Valeria Richards, Ben Grimm meanwhile was listening to some sort of audiobook, in another room, Johnny Storm was nowhere to be seen. Susan was the one who greeted them first.

"Hello, Julia, Jess and you all, how are you guys doing?" Susan asked with a kind smile.

Julia answered, "We're doing fine for now but I wish I could say we came here to say simply hi"

Susan dropped her smile, "Did something happen? How can we help?"

"Well, we were hoping to get some assistance from Reed in regards to Spider-Man?" Julia said.

"Spider-Man? Did something happen to him?" Susan asked a little worriedly.

"Yes, he is currently stuck in another universe and we're trying to find a way to get him here with us," Julia said to the invisible hero.

"Oh God, let's hope we can sort this out and bring back Peter safe and sound, come I'll show you the way," Susan said leading them to Mr. Fantastic, who was still working on his device, he was so absorbed to his work that he wasn't even paying attention to the visitors approaching him.

"Reed, Julia and others urgently need your help." Susan told her husband.

Reed, annoyed by the interruption of his work, looked at them and asked, "Hello, how can I help you?"

Julia and Jessica were certainly pissed at his attitude but kept their anger in check, the rest of the spiders were annoyed but chose to let either Julia or Jessica handle the conversation with the scientist. Julia said, "Hi Reed, we need your help in finding Spider-Man."

Reed raised an eyebrow with his arms folded, "Why would I help him?"

Susan was shocked by her husband's question, the rest were just as shell-shocked.

Gwen Stacy, the Ghost-Spider broke from her shock and asked, "What the fuck do you mean by that? Wasn't he part of your family?"

Reed, still in his dismissal face, "Hnn, he isn't part of my family, last time we saw him, he acted like an arrogant fool demanding help, which I reluctantly did, then I told him to leave and to never come back here again. On top of that, can't you see I'm busy with my work? I have better things to do than involve myself with that stupid arachnid's messes."

Jessica punched Reed in the face, making him fall to the ground and wince in pain. "You fucking prick, how dare you? Didn't you get the memo? That was Otto, not Peter." Jessica said standing over him.

Reed glared at Jessica and said with clenched teeth, "Funny you say that, didn't you and your avengers buddies shun him from the team? You guys were the first ones to not believe him."

Jessica stepped back slightly as she felt guilt over what the stretchable scientist said. Julia, seeing all of this, sighed and asked despite already knowing the likely answer, "So, are you going to help us or not?"

"No, now leave me be, I have work to do!" Reed said with finality, leaving the heroes and going to another lab in his building.

Susan could only stare at her husband's leaving back. 'I shouldn't be even surprised, he's one of the smartest men in the world but also an ignorant man who cares more about his inventions and test subjects than he does with his own kids'. She broke from her thoughts and said, "I'm so sorry about this, it's just last time Peter was here, he didn't make a good impression on him, I wasn't here when Spider-Man came here but when I heard about it, I couldn't believe it since Peter is not the type of person to act like that but after hearing the news about Spider-Man beating up people straight to ER instead of prison, I ended up believing Reed" Susan finished with shame looming over her.

"It's fine, I'm sure we can figure out another way to find him, seriously Sue don't apologize" Julia assured.

"I'm going to try to convince Reed" Sue said to the spiders.

"Don't count on it, really don't know how that guy is a hero" Cindy Moon spat out, making Sue even more dejected.

Jessica put a hand on Cindy's shoulder and in a positive tone said, "Don't worry about it Sue, like Julia said we'll figure out something, for all we know Dr. Strange might manage to bring him back himself"

"I see." Susan said sadly.

The Thing came up to his invisible teammate and her visitors and said, "Hey what's up, I saw stretch leaving angrily, I assumed Reed and Sue argued or something"

Jessica explained everything to the Thing before he sighed and said, "Wow, for Stretch to say that, I know he likes his inventions and has a pride which rivals Victor's but still…"

Anya said, "I guess it was useless coming here."

Miles said, "Word"

Julia directed her attention to her spider clan and decisively said, "Alright guys, for the time being, let's wait for what the Doctor has to say about the matter, who knows he might be able to bring Pete back on his own. Let's keep doing what we do for the time being, with patience, Pete will be back with us in no time."

Jessica sighed,"it's the best thing we can do at the moment"

The rest of the team agreed. After saying their goodbyes to the Thing and a sad Susan, they all went on their own way, patiently waiting for Dr. Strange to come up with a solution to bring back their teammate, mentor or friend.

Present

"So that's what happened" Steve said, after hearing Jessica's explanation.

"Yeah, we kept on patrolling around the city, more than we usually do, sometimes even Spidey's turfs but what we did not expect was for crime to suddenly go up like some cryptocurrency like coin." Jessica quipped before continuing, "I stopped many petty crimes and attempted murders and fought Shocker and Boomerang, I don't know how Spidey does it on a daily basis!" Jessica sighed tiredly.

Captain America smiled, "It goes to show us that he's the best of us." Steve paused before saying, "Tell you what, I'm going to convince Tony into helping you and Julia getting Spider-Man back with us"

"You really think he would do it?" Jessica asked with skepticism.

"Spider-Woman, you leave that to me. Tony and I don't always agree on a lot of things but over the years, we've learnt to work well with each other and work our differences as we go on." Steve reassured Jessica.

"I'll let Julia and the spiders know about it, thank you Cap!" Jessica left the lobby, about to call her arachnid teammates, Steve watched her leave.

Steve sighed and went on his way to confront Tony, whilst looking up and thinking, 'I hope you're doing okay wherever you are Spider-Man, we'll get you back soon. Wait, now that I think about it, didn't Jessica hate him at some point? When he was claiming to be superior? I should ask her next time.'

In Morales residence

Miles Morales, the ultimate Spider-Man was currently laying down on his bed, he was recovering from a recent fight he had with Felicia Hardy, otherwise well known as the Black Cat or the new QueenPin in town. He was briefly visited by Spider-Woman and Anya not too long ago, wishing him a speedy recovery and all. He was not happy at all, after that one sided beatdown he received thanks to Black Cat, he thought back of last night.

Flashback to a day ago

Miles was swinging across Harlem and so far things were manageable, despite Peter's disappearance. Ever since their last visit at the Baxter building, Miles has been doing his best to step up and do his part for his mentor and until he gets back. Though criminal activity was higher, he was happy he got to help a lot of people but again the common question in almost all of the spiders' minds was 'How does Pete do this on a daily basis? This is insane, no matter how you look at it!'

In an alleyway, Miles saw some suspicious looking people wearing balaclavas, loading some crates full of guns and grenades inside a van. Miles decided to listen to the guys who were bantering during their load up.

"So the boss wants to own all of Fisk's turfs and weed out any competition in her way, do you think that's actually possible?" one of the grunts said to the other one helping him.

"I don't know man, so far we have been winning and making money, though many have tried what she's doing but with the devil in Hell's kitchen, the other vigilantes and other gangs it's looking very tough" One of the grunts replied to the question.

"You're right, let's quickly finish this and hit up the Bar With No Name, I wanna see if I can score with that chick that dresses like a playboy bunny" The grunt said smiling.

"White Rabbit? I heard she's in jail for trying to steal something from a museum or something not too long ago." the other grunt said.

Miles decided that he heard enough and wanted to find out who their boss was.

"Hiya guys! Mind if I crash the party?" Spider-Man quipped.

"Gahh, it's the spider-kid, waste him! " One of the grunts shouted, whilst the rest of the thugs were shooting at Miles with no success. Miles with his acrobatic agility took the thugs out, one by one. A frontflip kick to a thug who was at the time trying to brawl with him, he felt someone running at him behind him before sending a bio blast at the front of the grunt's neck, knocking him out. He picked up one of the thugs who was semi-conscious and asked, "Who's your boss?"

He replied, "Go to hell kid!" Miles sent a bio blast to him, knocking him out.

"Well, looks like I won't know who's the head Honcho yet." Miles said out loud.

A feminine voice figure from above and behind him said, "Careful what you wish for little Spider, you might just get it." sending little chills in Miles' back. The figure jumped down and it was revealed to be the Black Cat.

"Black Cat? I thought you're Spidey's friend." Miles asked confusedly.

Felicia glared daggers at Miles, "That goody two shoes buffon is not my friend and never was! I'm going to kill him next time I cross his path, since you remind me of him, I'll give you a taste of what I'll do to him" Black Cat lunged at Miles and the rest was history. Just as she was about to claw his chest, Miles distracted Black Cat with a quick bio blast on her shoulder and quickly evaded the scene, as his injuries from the fight were wearing him down. Just as he was escaping he could hear her shouting at the top of her lungs. "NEXT TIME BRING THE REAL SPIDER! I'LL KILL HIM FOR WHAT HE DID TO ME!"

Present

Miles knew he could win against her but her bad luck powers were just overpowered, adding the fact that she's enhanced with experience. He was fumbling during their entire fight because of her annoying powers. Though this experience did not discourage Miles to the very least. He was hungry for a rematch.

'I promise I'll beat her next time I see her.'

In DBS universe

It has been two weeks since our Web-slinger has been in this new universe, and his only way to get back home was to win against someone in a trial of combat. After making the decision to train himself with the help of his new friends he has been training on an island in the middle of the ocean with a pervy old man who was said to be a World tournament champion once or twice, he apparently was the one who taught Goku how to fight when he was a kid. Right now he was wearing a gi similar to Goku and getting his ass kicked by the said old man.

'I wonder if Danny had to go through all these daily beatings before becoming the immortal Iron Fist' Peter thought while wincing in pain and huffing from his recent spar with Muten Roshi.

"I have to say, young man you have more skill than I expected, your fighting style although it is unorthodox, it's somewhat not bad, what is it again? Way of the butterfly?" Master Roshi said to our arachnid hero.

"It's called Way of the Spider, me and my friend developed it, when I lost my spider-sense I had to rely on martial arts and it was really useful at the time, I almost forgot all the steps, stances and moves if it wasn't for me sparring you these past few days." said Peter.

"I see, but isn't that Spider-sense of yours a crutch, when you want to strengthen your other senses?" Roshi asked

"To be honest, I've never thought about improving my fighting style, until I lost my Spider-sense and I always relied on it, I guess over the years I have had more control over it, so I never felt the need to do so." Peter said.

"Young man, if we all thought like you then we would've died many times, even though I did die a few times… but that's besides the point, what we need to do is find a way to turn off that sense of yours so that we can work on your skill, I'm going to teach you the turtle style stance and as for your ki training, we can start by showing you how to fly, flying drastically improves your ki handling inside your body. I'm sure Krillin could show you when he's not busy with his police work or that sexy wife of his." Roshi perved with a nosebleed while thinking about his student's spouse.

"Master Roshi, that's your student's wife." Peter, sweat dropped and said bluntly.

"Peter, I'm an old man, I just appreciate beauty when I see it" Roshi smiled while looking at the ocean.

"Right," Peter said sarcastically. Despite the old man being weird, he found him to be strict but a solid and friendly teacher. On his first day, the old martial artist told him to wear a turtle shell which was useless since his super strength kinda killed the whole point of strength training, he can lift up to 57 tons afterall. The old man suggested they can shelf the strength training for the time being and also muttered about maybe asking Goku or Piccolo to take him to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, whatever that means.

Suddenly Goku appeared out of nowhere and said, "Hiya guys!"

Peter jumped in surprise whilst Roshi stayed where he was standing.

"Goku! What brings you here?" Master Roshi asked with curiosity.

"Nothing much, I just finished farming out carrots and radishes for Chi-chi and I was wondering how Peter's training was going," Goku said excitedly with his ever present grin.

"We made some progress, at the start he was swinging wildly here and there but now I'm going to teach him the turtle hermit stance but there is an issue we're dealing with his spider-sense" Roshi said while stroking his beard.

"Spider-sense?" Goku asked.

"It's basically a danger alert before the said danger approaches him" Roshi answered.

"It's an oversimplification but yeah he's right in a nutshell or turtle shell in this case." Peter added. "Sometimes it makes my body move by itself" Goku couldn't help but think how similar it is compared to his Ultra Instinct form that he wants to master but to no success on his part.

"Ohhh, that's neat! But does it work on people that are as fast as you or faster than you?" Goku asked

"It does, but my body needs to be fast enough to avoid them which sometimes it isn't" Peter said remembering fighting Quicksilver, Speed demon or even sometimes getting caught by Electro's blasts.

"Hmm, what you need is some strength training for that." Goku said.

"I'm afraid that is also another issue, Peter is strong already, but I need him to go past his limit to progress his training in terms of ki and speed" Roshi said.

Goku stroked his chin, thinking hard about something until a light bulb came on his head and said, "How about I place a ki based shield in his head, I think blocking his Spider-sense from his subconscious would work! That way you can teach him the turtle stance!" Goku said.

"Excellent idea Goku!" Roshi smiled proudly at his student.

"Fighting is one of the things I do best after all!" Goku said with a grin.

Master Roshi nodded until he added, "About his strength training, I was thinking of asking you to take him to the lookout and have Popo or Piccolo to make some weighted clothing for him" Roshi paused before, "Actually let's scrap that idea, how about you train him into the turtle stance inside the Hyperbolic Time chamber?"

"Well Chi-chi did say I have the whole day to myself after helping her out so I don't mind! I can get some training done myself too!" Goku said, excited for the training.

Peter, having no idea of what the two martial artists are talking about could only shudder as he was thinking about training with his hyperactive Saiyan friend and Master Roshi soon confirmed his fears, when he glanced in his direction.

"Good luck Peter, I trust my friend Goku to help you out on your training and trust me you will need it, Goku is known to take his training to the extreme"

Peter just sweat dropped at his impending doom.

"That's not true Master Roshi!" Goku complained to which he replied, "Yes it is, now Goku, remember he's a human and not a Saiyan so go easy on him before you level up the training."

"Will do, Master Roshi!" Goku said before grabbing Peter's shoulder and disappearing out of thin air.

In Kami's Lookout

Dende was standing around, making sure the Earth was under no threat and Mr. Popo was watering flowers whilst Piccolo was levitating in the air while in deep meditation. They were all interrupted as soon as Goku appeared with another man standing beside him.

"Goku, how are you and who is your friend?" Dende asked while smiling at his friend.

"That's Peter and I'm doing well! Anyway, I wanted to ask a favor from you guys" Goku added.

Piccolo glanced blankly at Peter, noticing his turtle school gi before looking up at Goku and asked, "Ok Goku, what is it?"

Goku smiled and said, "Well…"
