A year after the academy's opening day…
Naruto was walking around the streets of konoha reminiscing about the previous year in the academy. He had grown to get a heavy crush on the Uchiha that was in his class, as she was beautiful and they had become good acquaintances. Although she had stopped being her bright and happy self after the massacre.
Naruto felt bad about Satsuki's predicament, but was always dismissed in a rude way whenever he tried to comfort her. Much to Naruto's annoyance she would always do this, even when he just tried making friendly conversation.
Naruto was always confused about why Itachi had killed his family, whenever he would visit the compound with Satsuki to hangout her brother seemed to be very polite. "I guess I just misjudged him, as I did with my family." Naruto thought.
Naruto continued to reminisce and thought about how his siblings had slowly become more annoying after their humiliating defeat. At home they'd set up so many pranks that he couldn't even be sure was gonna happen when he stepped foot in his home. It wasn't any better that Kushina didn't stop them and would give them pointers on how to do some of their pranks.
Naruto had already planned ahead, once he became a shinobi and a legal adult, he'd change his last name to Namikaze only and get his own apartment. Naruto continued to think about what he's done during this past academy year, he's been training his body physically a lot more, even managing to convince his tou-san to put heavier gravity weights on him.
He also met his godfather, Jiraiya for the first time, and he was pleasantly surprised when the older man hadn't hated him. He liked his godfather a lot, but hated the fact that he was a massive pervert. He was a goofy old man, but Naruto just thought it made his godfather even cooler, he even helped him improve his speed in making seals and his skills overall.
Naruto felt very happy hearing compliments from his few special people. Jiraiya told Naruto he had a knack for seals, which had left Naruto unable to stop smiling for the day. Sometimes when Minato was too busy to train or spend time with Naruto, Jiraiya, if he was in Konoha, would train him and get him popsicles.
When Naruto was finished wandering Konoha, lost in his thoughts he decided to return home because he had nothing else to do.
Namikaze-Uzumaki residence…
Naruto returned to 'his home', Naruto had scanned every inch of the house before entering. Naruto had found out he was a sensor after training with his godfather Jiraiya for a while, Naruto had trained a bit to get a sense of things, but it wasn't the best. Naruto made sure to try and find any hidden pranks or anything.
Naruto slowly entered the house and made sure to be cautious of everything, but that proved to be futile, as Naruto didn't see the near invisible ninja wire ready to set off a almost blinding flash bomb. As Naruto recoiled covering his eyes in pain he heard the snickering of Menma and Mito, Naruto was pissed. Naruto was one to be calm during most of the pranks, but this was just absurd!
They had actually wasted highly dangerous ninja tools just to mess with him, so he decided to get back at them in a better way. Naruto had pent up anger and rage for years, he was ashamed to say it, but sometimes he had the urge to kill his siblings out of pure rage. Naruto then opened his eyes with a slight glare and stared at Mito and Menma and directed all of his 9 year old killing intent on them.
Menma and Mito were terrified to say the least, this was their first exposure to killing intent, and so much at that. Mito and Menma had nearly fainted before Naruto had stopped, they were on their knees and hands crying from how scared they were.
Naruto just chuckled darkly before walking to his room and taking a nap. After this encounter they had stopped messing with Naruto, but Kushina became even colder and began acting as if Naruto was a stranger and just a visitor living in their house. Much to his delight because he had grown to hate his mother even more in the past year.
Kushina had even begun refusing to feed Naruto, he didn't care much though, he had learned how to cook after spying on a few cooks in the village. He liked his own cooking better than his mother's because she made sure to make the food burnt or too cold.
Despite Naruto always being uncomfortable or unhappy in his house without his father around he had learned it was just better to stay locked in his room.
After a while Naruto had completely neglected to go home and stayed out training, only going home to get clothes for the academy and shower. Minato had begun to worry for Naruto, but Naruto assured him he was fine. Minato could only feel even more saddened that his son had an icy cold glare whenever he was in the house. As if he loathed the very feeling of being inside his home.
Explanation of Naruto's training until graduation day…
Naruto had been training very hard during the past years, as he didn't want to fall behind on his intense training. He'd learned how to use the Flying Thunder god Jutsu better and more efficiently with his father in his free time. Now Naruto could use the hiraishin 19 times before collapsing from exhaustion, he still only wanted to use it in important situations.
It would be bad for Naruto if everyone knew that a child with one of the world's most feared jutsu was running around Konoha carefree. Naruto had also learned with his godfather Jiraiya better seals, he was able to make his own gravity seals and was on track to being a seal master. Naruto had also learned how to make the rasengan in one hand instead of using both his hands. He also worked on improving the size making a big beautiful shining blue ball of chakra and pain.
Naruto had also been training harder physically as he made it so his gravity weights at all times would make him feel like he was running in deep water. Much to Naruto's grief his father Minato showed him an exercise he used to do as a kid.. Climbing a mountain with one arm, jumping back down, and then doing it with the other.
Naruto dreaded doing it, as it was a 'warm up' according to his father. Minato had unknowingly begun to train Naruto to be the next Hokage, he had almost completely forgotten to train his other 2 children sometimes and would usually come back to his home to help them on certain days, much to their annoyance.
Naruto's physical strength had skyrocketed due to the insane training his father had given him, Naruto was an ultra prodigy and Minato wanted to nurture that. Naruto had even learned 2 Lightning jutsu, although it was much more difficult since he naturally was better at doing wind jutsu and it was hard for him to get the concept of it, he had also learned the Shunshin no Jutsu very easily and managed to do the constantly with one hand seal, he also learned 2 wind and water jutsus.
Naruto and Minato had somehow become even closer with Naruto being able to tell his father everything he thought, felt, liked, and disliked. Minato had realized a rift in the family after he started training Naruto more. Minato had tried to train Naruto, Mito, and Menma together and only managed to do it sometimes.
He had even convinced Kushina to try and make a relationship with Naruto, much to his delight. Although Naruto had already given up on their redemption, there was nothing that could fix the hate he felt for them.
Mito and Menma had also tried being nicer to Naruto which naturally shocked Minato. They had realized the wrongs they've done and wanted to rekindle their relationship, but they were still very arrogant and bratty, basically trying to force him to forgive them. Mito and Menma had wanted a little brother after seeing some of the interactions of their peers and being slightly jealous.
Naruto noticing their attempts only annoyed him beyond humanly possible. He had grown more detached from them when he almost stopped coming home completely, preferring to stay at Shikamaru or Choji's house.
Both their families and clans were always so nice to him no matter what. It had made him happy that Shikamaru's mom had even gotten used to Naruto just being inside their house or compound and even scolded him in a motherly way, which had made him feel warm despite that, she even made him lunch for the academy most days.
Naruto had also decided to try and learn things from Kyuubi, much to Kyuubi's interest. They had a sort of acquaintanceship with each other not hating or liking each other inherently. Naruto had even granted Kyuubi a more comfortable mindscape and the ability to talk to him without going into his mind.
Naruto had also begun to sometimes catch his crush, Satsuki glancing at him which always made his thoughts go crazy. He had liked getting attention from her even in little glances which had made his crush only grow even bigger.
Naruto had even managed to get Jiraiya to teach Naruto toad summoning after a long long long long time of following him. He had met the boss of the toads and they hit it off immediately. Although Naruto didn't use his summoning much, he didn't need them as often as he thought he would've.
Naruto had high Jounin level chakra levels, near perfect chakra control, the strength of a mid chunin, the speed of a low jounin, an improved rasengan, toad summoning, better hiraishin use, seven more jutsu, and a huge crush on Satsuki.
Naruto was more than proud of himself and thought that he would be able to be a better shinobi than his father was.
Morning of graduation day…
It was a beautiful morning filled with sunshine, and the light blows of wind that gently swayed through konoha, making sure the heat wasn't overwhelming. There was a slight haze that had made the morning sunset more beautiful and appealing than it already was.
Naruto woke up early to this magnificent sunrise and smiled a calm and excited smile, one that most people hadn't seen in some time, the kind of smile that outshined even a beautiful sunrise like this one. The slight cool breeze had rustled Naruto's side bangs, now identical in size and shape to Minato's.
His electric blue eyes made even the summer sky jealous of how deep blue Naruto's eyes were. He had been wearing a blue high collar jacket that was open revealing a tight white shirt that showed off an impressive build for a 12 year old Naruto. He was also wearing black anbu pants that fit him perfectly, he had also stood at an impressive 5.4 and had black shinobi sandals on. Naruto had also worn many scrolls on him. One containing hundreds of his custom hiraishin kunai Minato made specially for Naruto.
Naruto had been standing atop of the hokage heads while watching the sun. He decided that he'd teleport home as it was a lot less troublesome walking back home, oh yeah he needs to lose the habit of saying troublesome, it rubbed off on him after almost living with the Nara clan.
Naruto had appeared in his room in a flash before opening the door and heading down towards the kitchen where his 'family' and father greeted him. Naruto had seen his mother cooking and chose to make his own meal, much to the annoyance of Kushina.
"Naruto what are you doing? I'm making food already." Naruto said in a slightly agitated tone. Naruto chose to ignore her and make some toast before sitting in the seat next to his father. Kushina glared at Naruto the entire time whilst she cooked, slightly impressing Naruto as that was something you don't see everyday.
Naruto and his siblings had finished eating and were about to leave when Minato and Kushina tried to hug them. Naruto didn't want to be hugged next to his siblings or by his mom, but let it happen before slipping closer to his dad's side of the hug.
Minato and Kushina were cheering in unison, "We're both very proud of you and believe all 3 of you will become great shinobi!" Naruto was slightly annoyed at the fact Kushina had almost said 2, just proving to him even more that his mother didn't really care about him.
Naruto, Menma, and Mito had left together for the first time since the first academy day in a while. As soon as the siblings had left the house completely, they began to talk Naruto's ear off about how they should forgive them because they would be great older siblings.
Naruto only got a tick mark on his head before shunshining to the academy leaving his siblings in the dust and in awe.
At the academy…
Naruto had opened the door to his class to find everyone talking loudly about how they were gonna be great shinobi, and some of his fangirls squealing at his entrance. Naruto ignored the squeals and walked before sitting down next to his close friend Shikamaru and Choji. Naruto and Shikamaru had become almost like brothers after 4 years of basically living together, Choji was both their best friend and they liked him for who he was.
As Naruto, Shikamaru, and Choji had talked for what seemed like minutes Iruka burst through the classroom doors and yelled at the class to be quiet. Everyone piped down and Iruka began, "Alright everyone as you all know today is the day you become a shinobi, but that's only if you pass the final exam and written test, got it?". Everyone shook their heads before Iruka began handing out tests to each student.
Naruto had finished first without even a second glance at whether he was right or not, as he had known he was right. After about another hour of all the kids in Naruto's class taking the test and finishing they began calling them into a secluded room for the ninjutsu portion of the testing.
Naruto waited for what felt like hours before hearing his name get called and entering the room to take the test. Not even a minute later Naruto walked out of the room with a dark blue hitiate to match his mostly blue attire.
As the last to-be shinobi were called out Iruka exited the room and congratulated all the passing students. Naruto ignored most of what iruka said, choosing to sneak glances at Satsuki before he said they could leave and announce their first steps as official genin of Konoha. As Naruto and his classmates left to celebrate with their families, he wondered who his jounin sensei would be.
Before he could continue he was wrapped in a firm hug that he returned as his father and hero had basically scooped Naruto up and squashed him alive. Naruto could only gasp for air before Minato released him sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, congratulating Naruto and doing the same to Menma and Mito.
Before Naruto could leave, Kushina had stopped him, "Good job on becoming a shinobi." Kushina said with a barely enthusiastic tone. Naruto only cringed at his mother's attempt to hide her distaste for Naruto, she was a trained shinobi and couldn't even fake an emotion. It also slightly hurt the fact that even his own mother couldn't refrain from hating Naruto. Sure Naruto stopped caring about his family for a while now, but she's his mother, it would be nice to know what a true mothers love feels like.
As Naruto just walked around Kushina to leave, he was stopped by Minato, "Naru, we're going out as a family to celebrate your graduation with some ramen!" Naruto drooled at the thought of some Ichiraku ramen, as he hadn't had his ramen fix in a while.
Despite this he still didn't want to go if Mito, Menma, and Kushina were gonna be there. While Naruto was thinking he found that he was already at Ichiraku ramen with his 'family'. Naruto was beyond surprised as he realized his ramen urges had taken over and forced him to go anyway.
Naruto only sighed in defeat as instantly ordered 4 miso ramens, along with his father and Kushina ordering 1 miso ramen to start off, and Mito choosing beef ramen, whilst Menma chose, well menma… He was arrogant even in his food choices.
Naruto began to dig in as if he were a feral beast, whilst Menma, Mito, and Kushina stared at him as if he were some feral beast, Minato just chuckled at their looks as he was used to Naruto eating like this. Kushina decided to start the conversation instead of everyone having to listen to the massacre of Naruto's ramen. "Did you know I'd be a jounin sensei from now on, so if any of you need anything just ask me, ok?" Menma and Mito just nodded whilst Naruto was… Fighting for dominance against his 7th bowl..
Kushina gained a tick mark at Naruto clearly ignoring her, favoring ramen over what she had to say. "Naruto." Kushina said, but wasn't heard as Naruto continued to his 8th bowl. "Naruto.." Kushina said again with her hair slowly beginning to rise and her eyes narrowing in anger, Naruto had felt a disturbance in the air so he decided to glance up for barely a second and continue his feast.
"NARUTO!" Kushina had roared, being infuriated at being clearly ignored by Naruto. Naruto had jumped as he had seriously not heard Kushina calling him, "Hm?" Naruto mumbled through the river of ramen coming from his mouth. Kushina seemed to have slightly calmed down, "I'm gonna be a jounin sensei Naruto, so if you or anyone else needs help with anything just ask me, understand?".
Naruto had been slightly annoyed at the tone his mother used, a slow tone that had sounded like she was talking to a baby that couldn't understand a thing. So Naruto decided to annoy her the best way he knew, "mmhmm hmm mhh hmm-" Naruto talked through the ramen in his mouth with occasional pieces of ramen flying out next to where Kushina was.
"Naruto talking with food in your mouth is rude, you know you shouldn't be like that, at least in public!" Minato said. Naruto knew he was wrong for doing it, but he wanted revenge for how Kushina had acted. He was proud of his work because Kushina had fire in her eyes while staring at Naruto.
"Naruto, how dare you do something like this in public.. Not only are you a failure, you're a messy brat as well! You're too damn weak to be disrespecting your siblings and I like that!" Kushina screeched. "I beg to differ…" Naruto said after swallowing the river of ramen he was eating.
"Kushina, Naruto, please calm down and remember we're in public." Minato said in a calm voice trying to deescalate the situation that was unfolding. Menma and Mito were glaring at Naruto and yelled out in unison, "We could kick your ass you loser!". Naruto just grinned as he had instantly formed a plan in his head, "Well if you're so sure how about we make a bet Kushina, Menma, and Mito" Naruto said with his devilish grin widening.
Minato had began sweating slightly as he had only seen that type of grin from people who brought great terror to others. Naruto continued, ignoring the worried look Minato shot his way, "If I beat Menma and Mito with my weights on, Kushina will have to give me all the uzumaki sealing scrolls and Menma and Mito will have to leave me alone." Kushina responded to Naruto's bet, "What do Menma, Mito, and I get out of this Naruto?". Naruto's grin turned into a normal face, "If Menma and Mito beat me I will forgive them and act as their younger brother and I will also give up the hiraishin scroll to you Kushina.".
Naruto knew he had caught them in his trap when the 3 all agreed to the terms in a heartbeat. Minato couldn't even warn them of their mistake as everyone had stopped eating and began to walk to training ground 32. Minato thanked Teuchi and put some money along with a tip for the ramen.
He then rushed off to join his family as they were walking to the training ground.
At training ground 32…
As the Namikaze-Uzumaki family entered the training ground Menma and Mito began to warm up with the help of Kushina giving them tips. Naruto just stood waiting for them to finish whilst Minato had a slightly sad look in his deep blue eyes. He knew Naruto would win and become more detached from the family, he hadn't wanted that to happen as it had been difficult to work between his family.
Naruto had watched as his Menma and Mito finished their warmup and began to line up in front of Naruto to start the fight. "Alright go get him Menma and Mito!" Kushina yelled enthusiastically. It was decided that Minato would say when the match would begin, "Are both sides ready?" Minato asked, looking at his children, getting a silent nod from both sides.
Minato nodded before yelling out, "Begin!" Menma and Mito had used their chains right off the bat and each created 3 clones. "You're gonna have to listen to us and give us the hiraishin scroll after we beat you Naruto!" Menma said, "Naruto it's in your best interest to give up, you can't take us both on, it won't go like before when we lost in the academy." Mito said in a calm, calculating voice.
Naruto only gained a cocky smirk before replying to them both, "If you're so confident then try hitting the real me first, if you can even get through the first wave anyway." Naruto said. Menma and Mito were both confused until they saw Naruto make a ram seal and yelled, "Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu! (Multi Shadow Clone jutsu)".
Menma and Mito had their mouths gaping along with Kushina, Naruto had made about 200 clones in one go and didn't look winded at all! Menma and Mito watched frozen as half of the Naruto's began walking towards them, Menma was the first to break out of his stupor and charged with his clones attempting to take out the Naruto's.
The first clone had dodged Menma with ease before instantly popping all 3 of his shadow clones that were helping him. Mito on the other hand was putting up a great fight taking out 8 clones so fair, but it was a lot more difficult than it looked. Menma was the first to go down as the clones took his chains and his limbs and pulled him into the crowd of the other Naruto's.
Last that was heard from Menma during the fight were his screams and plea's for Naruto to stop before it went silent. Now it was Mito's turn Naruto decided to dispel all his clones and fight Mito and her clones himself. After Naruto dispelled the clones he was revealed along with the battered and bruised body of Menma he looked as if he was mauled by a bear.
Mito gulped knowing that she had little chance, but she wouldn't give up. Mito and the clones had begun circling the unmoving Naruto and then jumped at him, Naruto in the blink of an eye dodged the first chain and used it to stab the clone with its own chain. He then jumped out of the circle the Mito clones had made around him and used a jutsu to take the clones and Mito out.
Naruto quickly made a ram seal creating 1 more clone and they both flew through hand signs, the original Naruto yelled, "Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu!" while his clone yelled, "Raiton: Denshi no Jutsu!" The Naruto clone then threw a yellow orb of lightning into the water bullet the original Naruto had made.
The jutsu had caught Mito off guard as she had never seen elements combining, as Mito went to counter she realized she was too late and along with her clones took the full brunt of the attack. Mito Shrieked as she was hit with the force of what felt like a boulder and electric shocks.
Mito was then seen unconscious as the attack died down, Minato had called out, "Naruto wins.". Naruto then smirked and went up to the astonished Kushina and said, "I want those scrolls by next week Kushina-chan." Giving her an infuriating shit eating grin, "Also, Kushina-chan don't forget to pick up your baggage" Naruto said walking out of the training ground after pointing at the two unconscious kids.
"That was quite the show kit, maybe you're not as much of a brat as I thought you to be." Kyuubi said from inside Naruto's mind. Naruto just smirked to himself and responded, "You know you love me Kyuubi." Naruto heard a scoff and then muttering about annoying brats from his mind and began to chuckle.
Before we finish le chapter I just wanna say…. I'M SOOO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING THE STORY AND NOT TELLING YOU WHEN THE NEXT CHAPTER WAS COMING! Anyways I'll start making them again, sorry for the long wait bye bye and love you (; Also there is going to start being a darker turn with all that bad stuff I mentioned in the first chapter in the author's note.
