So who saw the new Predator movie? I personally liked it but the CGI kinda ruined it for me in regards to a certain character in the movie.

Summary: Lex thought she would never see the Predator that marked her with a mysterious symbol ever since the battle in Antartica. While leading yet another expedition, this time in the jungles of the Amazon, she runs into the very same alien that had been on her mind since. How will Scar react to seeing her after recovering from his near fatal wound?

Disclaimer: Aside from my OCs, I don't own anything else.

XXXIV

Winter couldn't believe his eyes.

There was another sain'ja along with a female ooman who was most likely his companion. This warrior was definitely not from their clan, or else the Elite would've recognized him right away. Behind, he could sense Snow and the others were tense as they growled and clicked their mandibles together. This was his chance to redeem himself, Winter was definitely not going to throw it aside foolishly.

"What is your name?" he growled, signaling to his companions to lower their weapons.

"I should be the one asking you that," the sain'ja hissed back, still on alert as his body shielded the ooman from view.

"Ren, who are they? Are they friends of yours?" the ooman female asked as she clung to the latter's forearm.

Ren?

Was that the warrior's name?

"I am Winter, an Elite. These are my companions Snow and Javelin. We have been sent here at the request of W'lana to...fix the problem they're having with their local life being hunted."

At this the other warrior snarled and flared his mandibles angrily at the trio in hostility. The ooman female cowered behind the latter in a terrified position, her legs refusing to move in case she would become a target of the latter's wrath.

"If you're here to kill us, you'll have to fight me," the warrior hissed.

"I'd rather we try to solve this peacefully. Come with us, we'll help you get off this planet and ensure you and your companion won't be harmed."

-Renegade-

As tempting as the offer sounded to him right now, Renegade still wasn't going to trust another group of Yautja who came out of nowhere and offered a way off the planet just like that. Not to mention he had the ooman female to protect. Though they may not like each other, Renegade was starting to tolerate her presence, and if it hadn't been for her, he wouldn't have managed to escape from the bad oomans back on Earth.

He owed her that much at least.

"What makes you think I trust your words?" Renegade finally said.

The ooman was getting more and more tense with each passing second. Renegade growled softly in an attempt to comfort her as he felt her grip tighten around his upper arm where he kept his shurikens.

"My mentor is Wolf, I am sure you know who he is."

Of course Renegade knew.

Who hadn't heard of the infamous Wolf?

To think Wolf would take an apprentice...

"What of it?" Renegade retorted stubbornly.

"I give you my word as his apprentice and as an Elite, you and the ooman female will not be harmed."

After deliberating internally for what seemed like an eternity, Renegade turned around and looked down at the ooman female.

"We leave. Go them," he said in broken English.

Casey perked up upon hearing this and immediately a sparkle of hope returned to her formerly dull eyes.

"We can get off this goddamn planet? What are we waiting for?!" she exclaimed in relief.

"Stay close."

Renegade allowed her to hold his upper forearm as the two followed the trio out of the cave.

-Tyr'Sauk-

The birthing process of new hard meats wasn't exactly an unpleasant sight to observe, but Echo still found himself unable to go through with the hard meats erupting from the chests of their hosts and turned his head away. Beside him he could hear Keera screeching happily at the thought of finally having a brood of her own. A day ago she had given birth to special eggs that would birth her guards, and now those guards were fully grown and awaiting her orders. When the guards were first born, they nearly attacked Echo until Keera screeched angrily and they backed off.

Since then the guards would let him come and go as he pleased, obviously given orders by Keera to never harm him. Echo walked over to the Alien Empress and reached a hand up to stroke her crown. Keera screeched softly and turned her head in his direction, giving him an affectionate nudge as she did.

"Are you happy Keera?"

Another screech.

"We'll have more hosts for your eggs soon," he added.

Keera thumped her tail against the ground in response.

"These foolish aliens believe us to be deities. We'll show them exactly what deities can do. When our army has grown enough, we will overrun this planet and claim it for ourselves."

The Alien Empress roared in agreement.

Hearing the door opening behind, Echo removed his hand from Keera and placed his mask back on. In walked the High Priestess Va'Alu, surrounded by several female aliens dressed in ceremonial robes. No doubt they must be the new volunteers to breed a new group of hard meats for Keera.

With a wave of her hand, the High Priestess watched as the volunteers laid themselves down on the stone slabs and several eggs were brought forth by attendants. Sitting down in a chair, Va'Alu was just about to raise her hand again when the doors opened and her brother walked in.

"Sister, stop this at once!"

Echo tilted his head slightly to look at the King of the Re'Nlok as the latter marched past him to confront his sister.

"Brother, I have told you many times again and again, I am the one in charge of our kingdom's rituals and ceremonies. Why are you stopping me from conducting the ritual to please our deities?" Va'Alu demanded, her staff slamming into the ground to emphasize her anger.

"Lex has told me the horrors of what the deities can do! Do you want to watch Tyr'Sauk perish and become overrun by them?!"

Despite not being able to understand what they were saying, Echo had a feeling the King was trying to dissuade his sister from letting a new batch of hard meat be born. No, he couldn't let this King ruin his plans.

Echo let out a low growl of disapproval purposefully loud enough for the two to hear. Keera also screeched simultaneously, as if sensing Echo's displeasure at what was going on.

Hearing this, the High Priestess raised a hand to cut off her brother and carried on with the ritual.

"Stay your hands!" Va'Ilu ordered.

The servants were terrified as they stepped back from the eggs, their eyes going back and forth between the High Priestess and their King.

"Enough brother! You will not interfere in this any longer!"

"Keera, call your guards."

The Alien Empress let out a low hiss and her four guards emerged from hollows in the walls silently. The towering aliens silently walked over to the center of the altar and hissed in unison, their upper lips curling back to reveal sharp teeth under and a second set of jaws. While the guards did not make any movements, their intimidating presence was enough to shock the King into silence as he looked in their direction.

"Continue with the ritual," Va'Alu commanded.

-Lex-

After having a tense breakfast with Va'Ilu and Va'Alu, Lex was sent back to her room while the King promised he'd do his best to persuade his sister to stop with the ritual that was going to happen later. The gut feeling inside told her nothing would change, since she knew the High Priestess wasn't one to be pushed around, especially by her brother. The only thing she could do was silently pray that everything would end up going right for once.

Pacing the length of her room repeatedly back and forth, Lex was sure she'd wear a hole down in the floor from the amount of pacing she was doing.

"I need to do something..."

Maybe she could use her "status" as Queen to free the warriors being held captive.

Opening the door to her room, Lex beckoned at her handmaidens and indicated she wanted to get changed. Her handmaidens understood her gestures and clad her in a regal outfit befitting of the Queen of the Re'Nlok race. Once she was dressed and had numerous ornaments (along with a ridiculously heavy headdress) attached to her hair, Lex managed to wobble her way out of the room and ordered a guard to take her to the dungeon.

The guard was reluctant at first but Lex used her authority and he relented.

He took her to another wing of the palace and descended down the spiral staircase leading to the dungeons. Once they arrived, the guard indicated to one of the cells and Lex walked over.

She could see the Yautja warriors bore the mark of her clan and another mark she couldn't recognize.

One of the Yautja looked up and recognized the mark on her face, then immediately grabbed the bars of the cell and started rapidly clicking his mandibles in her face. Holding up her hands in front of her, Lex stopped the warrior and tried to explain that she couldn't understand him without the help of her mask.

"Help," the warrior managed to growl.

"Help? I'm trying to get you guys out of here as best I could," she replied, praying the warrior understood her words.

"Help," the Yautja repeated more urgently.

She could see his talons tightening and straining around the metal bars of the cell, like he was trying to pry the bars open with brute strength alone. Lex bit her lips and looked around, but she could see guards standing at set intervals within the room.

"Help!" the warrior growled.

"I'm trying!"

Suddenly Lex caught sight of movement coming from behind the warrior and peered around the alien's shoulder. Her eyes widened in shock upon seeing one of the Young Blood falling on the ground and grabbing at his chest.

"Oh god...please tell me...please tell me it's not true..." she murmured.

Without warning, Echo appeared beside Lex, nearly scaring the life out of her as she gave a yelp of surprise.

"Rejoice human, you're the first to witness the birth of a new caste of warrior for Keera," Echo said proudly as he watched the Young Blood's body convulse on the ground.

"Are you insane?! We can't let that thing be born! The entire kingdom will be wiped out!" Lex protested, her hands grabbing at Echo's arms only to be shaken off easily by the Predator.

"I think you're misunderstanding something, Lex. Any hard meat born from Keera's eggs are under her command, and Keera only listens to me. I am the one who has authority over the hard meats. I am the one who decides the fate of those who cross me. You've heard my story, you know what they've done to Keera. Unless you wish to become the next host for a hard meat, stay out of my way."

Echo clicked his mandibles together in laughter and went back to watching the birth of a new alien.

Covering her ears and squeezing her eyes, Lex tried to drown out the sounds of the Young Bloods cries for help as the newly born Predalien proceeded to slaughter the occupants of the cell while Echo laughed even louder.

Whatever sympathy she had for Echo evaporated on the spot as Lex realized the Yautja had truly become a Bad Blood now.
