"Haaa... I guess I should be going too." Said Ichika for herself in a low voice. She was feeling sad, but happy at the same time.

Sad, because the boy she loves won't love her back. Moreso, after the bad things she did to her younger sister. She betrayed her own blood, there was no need to deny it. 'It really is something incredible, "love".' Love can make us do things we can come to regret later, that much is a given. Love is also a great force that helps us move forward, we always learn something from falling in love.
Despite all of that, Ichika also felt happiness. Yes, she was happy with herself for doing the right thing. Although it hurt her thinking of her former tutor loving one of her sisters, she knew that she will support both of them. Just like her sister said. 'If you were to be chosen one day... I would... I would have wanted to congratulate you...!'

'I think I understand what Nino meant when she said that.' Ichika thought. She rested her chin on her right hand, while her other arm rested on the railing.

"This is fine, isn't it, Nino?" She closed her eyes when she felt the gentle breeze and mumbled.

"What's fine?" A voice from behind her startled her, she wasn't expecting any visitors right now.

"N-Nino?" Ichika replied when she turned around to meet her sister. What's more, she wasn't alone.

"...Ichika." Miku said, appearing from behind Nino.
"H-Hey, Ichika!" Yotsuba greeted her older sister with a nervous voice.

"Yo, Ichika." The last person she expected to meet, the current owner of her heart and thoughts.

"Fuutarou-kun...?" Were the only words that were able to left her mouth.

So far, so good. I was able to convince Yotsuba, Miku and Nino into my crazy idea. I'm not proud of it, I know it makes me scum, but I can't help but to feel the way I do. Now, while I thought convincing Nino would take me a lot of time, that wasn't the case. Yes, she did got mad at the beginning and she was also reluctant to accept, but at the end, she accepted. I'm really happy right now, but it's not over yet, there's still two more girls I need to talk to. Then, I'll be truly happy from the bottom of my heart.

"My~, what brings you here, Fuutarou-kun? Shouldn't you be with your girlfriend?" If it weren't for all the time I have spent with Ichika, I wouldn't notice she's putting on a mask.

"Yeah, you're right." I sighed while I made my way towards her. Nino still attached to my right arm.

"—!" She noticed Nino's behavior towards me. She smiled with her eyes closed.

"I see... Congratulations, Nino!" She wrapped Nino in a tight hug.

"Thank you... wait—" Nino tried to reply, but Ichika's hug was too tight for her.

"Fuutarou-kun, you better take care of my little sister! Although, I guess I'm worrying over nothing, It's you we're talking after all, fufu." She giggled softly while she covered her mouth with her hand.

"...Ichika..." Miku looked at her sister with sad eyes. Looks like I wasn't the only one to notice her facade.

"She may be stubborn at times, but she's a great cook!" Ichika didn't heard Miku, or maybe she just pretended to not hear.

"..." Yotsuba just tugged the back of my shirt. When I turned to see her, she had a worried expression on her face. Looks like she noticed it too.

"Ah! That doesn't mean my other sisters are a bad choice, you know? You're really missing out!" Ichika's smile never wavered. But her sisters and I knew, that smile is not a genuine one.

"Ichika." Nino tried calling her once more. She ignored her.

"Miku is really cute too, and she's also great wife material." Ichika said.

"Ichika—" This time I tried calling her name. No response.

"Yotsuba is the sporty type, oh but I suppose you already know that. But did you knew? I'm sure you're really special to her, I'm sure she likes you as much as Miku!" Ichika replied once more while smiling.

"Ichika!" No matter how many times she was called, she never replied. She just kept on talking.

"Itsuki, well... she's just not honest with herself, fufu. Although her specialty is eating instead of cooking, she's also really good with children." She talked about every single one of her sisters. Except, she never said a thing about herself.

"Ichika, please—"

"Fuutarou-kun." Before I could explain the situation to her, she stopped me. Still smiling, but I could see her smile frowning a little bit.

"Don't. Please... I'm supposed to be the mature one here but..." There she stood, Nakano Ichika. Smiling and closing her eyes once more, but this time, her smile trembled notably. Her eyes started watering.

"Y-You're gonna make me cry..." She clutched her chest with both hands. This time, she started crying.

"Ichika... would you listen to me?" I tried talking to her, but she just shook her head.

"I don't want to hear it! I know I did bad things!" She noticed the way she raised her voice, and she stopped looking me at the eye.

"This is my punishment for what I did to Miku—" Before she could continue...

*SLAP*

"—!" I couldn't say anything to the sight before my eyes.

"N-Nino!?" Yotsuba's jaw dropped at her older sister's methods.

"Stop with that crap, will you!" Nino's hand was still held upright. Ichika's cheek started getting redder by the second.

"N-Nino...?" Ichika's mind couldn't process what happened. She just looked at Nino with the expression of a little animal. An unusual sight for the always mature quintuplet.

"H-Hey, Nino! You didn't had to do that!" I tried to reason with Nino, but she wasn't having anything of that.

"You said it yourself! You're supposed to be the mature one here. 'I don't want to hear it!', stop acting like a child!" Ichika found herself staring at the ground.

"..." She didn't said a word. She just stood there. Nino took it as a signal to continue.

"Miku said she has already forgiven you! Stop with that attitude, Ichika." Nino crossed her arms.

"Would you hear what Fuu-kun has to say?" Ichika nodded meekly at Nino's request.

"I-I think you overdid it a little bit..." Yotsuba sweatdropped.

"...Are you okay, Ichika?" Asked Miku worriedly.

"Y-Yeah, sorry. I guess I lost my cool. What an older sister am I, right? Hehe..." She caressed Miku's head with her left hand while rubbing her cheek with her free hand.

"Alright, so? What did you needed to say, future brother-in-law?" This time, I could tell her smile was a real one. 'I guess Nino helped... in a way.'

"Thank you, I'll go straight to the point." She just nodded and braced herself for whatever was coming.

"Ichika." I stood in front of her. She instinctively closed her eyes and nodded.

"I love you, please go out with me!" I bowed once more, and presented my right hand to her, a gesture I've done many times today...

"...Eh?" Her eyes widened when she saw my extending my hand to her.

"I fell in love with you, Ichika. I like you as much as I love your sisters." I stated, hoping that my feeling got across.

"H-Hehe... it's kinda embarrassing when I hear it..." Yotsuba replied, blushing at the same time.

"...Fufu~" Miku just giggled while cupping her own cheeks with her hands.

"W-Well... Not bad, I guess..." Nino crossed her arms and turned away.

"What?" Ichika's expression changed from an awed one, to one of total confusion.

"I wasn't able to choose from you girls, you're too precious to me. So I ask of you... Please go out with me too!" Man, my hand is starting to cramp!

"S-So, you're telling me...?" Ichika turned to see her sisters reactions.

"Haaa~ Yeah, yeah. We're all Fuu-kun's lovers. Hurry up and say yes." Nino sighed and urged her sister to accept.

"Fuutarou-kun, what kind of joke is this?" She frowned, there was no longer trace of her previous confusion.

"I'm being serious, Ichika. I would never joke about something like this." I replied.

"That's even worse, Fuutarou-kun! What were you thinking?" Ichika covered her face with both hands in frustration.

"I know I'm saying something stupid, but my feelings are genuine, that much is true, Ichika." She shook her head.

"That's not the problem here, Fuutarou-kun. Do you think dad would acknowledge a relationship like this? A wedding is out of question. I'm sorry, Fuutarou-kun, but I'm not sure I can go along with something like this..." Ichika smiled bitterly. This can't be...

"Are you running away?" This time, Nino was the one to break the silence.

"I-I'm not! I should be questioning you! Why would you accept something like this? Miku, you too. You don't need to go along with this—" Ichika turned to see Miku, but she just shook her head.

"...I'm doing this out of my own will. I want to be with the person I love the most. Don't you think the same?" Miku's words surprised Ichika. Deep down, she knew she couldn't refute that, because she also did stupid things out of love. Still—

"I-I do! B-But..." She tried to reply, only to be interrupted by Nino.

"Ichika, do what you want to do. Seize your own happiness. Who cares what the world thinks of us? I would never give up on the love of my life." After she spat those words, she just turned to her side.

"I..." Ichika looked troubled, not knowing what to decide.

"It's hard, isn't it?" Ichika glanced towards her sister, Yotsuba.

"I also had trouble accepting my past mistakes, accepting my own happiness. It's hard, like really really hard! But... When I'm beside my most important person, it becomes the most easiest thing in the world. Shishishi~" Ending with her usual trademark laugh, Yotsuba gave Ichika a thumbs up.

"My most important person..." Ichika mumbled in a low voice and, finally, Miku stepped in.

"...Do you love Fuutarou?" She asked Ichika.

"Miku..." She replied.

"...If you don't, then it's okay. But just know that no matter what you decide, I'll love you as much as I love Fuutarou, Ichika. You're my precious family, and mature older sister." Miku stated while holding Ichika's hand within hers.

"I see... Precious family, huh? fufu, You've really have grown, Miku. Fuutarou really helped you, while I'm still lacking. Thats's why—Ichika gripped back her sister's hand, and after a couple of seconds, she turned to look at me.

"—I... would be really happy if you could be by my side, and help me improve as a person, Fuutarou-kun." This time, she was the one who extended her hand to me.

"I would be glad to! Thank you, Ichika." Without wasting a single moment, I took her hand and hugged her.

"Yes... Fuutarou-kun." Ichika replied between sniffles.

While this happened, the rest of the Nakano sisters (except for Itsuki), were looking at the scene with warm eyes.

"How nice... I also want to be hugged by Fuu-kun!" Nino whined while pouting.

"...Don't be greedy. Just let them have this moment." Miku replied with her usual non-expressive voice.

"W-Who are you calling greedy!? Besides I bet you are as greedy as me!" Nino retorted in annoyance.

"There, there. At least it turned out okay, right?" It was Yotsuba's turn to cut in the discussion between her sisters.

"What, don't you want to be held by Fuu-kun too, Yotsuba?" Nino asked her irritated.

"N-No comment..." Yotsuba decided to keep quiet, but deep down, she also desires to be held by her loved one. She's also a girl, after all.

"Please take care of me from now on~" Ichika said in a playful manner to her sisters.

"Don't say it like that, it sounds weird!" Nino retorted.

"...Likewise." Miku replied with a smile.

"Isn't that nice, Fuutarou-kun?" Yotsuba said to me. I just nodded.

"Now, it's time to see Itsuki. Let's go." I decided to make our way towards the last quintuplet.

"Before that, umm..." Nino started fidgeting.

"What is it? Need to go to the toilet?" I asked. Her face turned a beet red.

"No! That's not it. Ichika, I just wanted to say that... I'm sorry for hitting you earlier." Nino said. Earning a comprehensive smile from her older sister.

"It's okay, in a sense, you helped me... Although it did hurt." Ichika rubbed her own cheek, as if remembering the sharp pain she felt a few minutes ago.

"I'm glad I wasn't hit too! Thank you, Miku~" Yotsuba hugged Miku.

"Is this a new trait of yours, sister? Please don't hit Itsuki-chan..." Ichika looked worried over her little sister. Nino just shook her head.

"I won't! T-That was just something in the spur of the moment!" She defended herself. I decided to intervene once more.

"Ahem... we need to go, girls." They looked at each other, and then at me.
