Silver woke up to a cacophony of overlapping echoing voices. When he stood up he realized he wasn't on the rooftop he'd fallen asleep on, his legs felt somewhat shaky. He struggled to say on his feet while he looked around "Hello? Tulip?" Suddenly the ground fell away from underneath him and he found himself in the place from his dreams but it felt different somehow. "Is this real? Or in my mind?" He asked out loud to nobody in particular.
"It can be both." Silver turned to where the response had come from and immediately saw the cat from his dreams perched on top of a nearby wall. "It's just the memories intensifying you can get through this Silver." She jumped down from the wall flipping forward and landing right in front of him.
"It's you, what do I call you?" Silver asked quickly only to be met with silence. "These are your memories Silver I can't tell you anything you don't already know i'm just here to guide you" A screech could be heard in the distance causing Silver to look away. "Any chance you know what-" When he looked back she had vanished. Reluctantly he just decided to head over to the source of the noise, unaware of the figure tailing him.
As he drew closer to the source of the noise he saw.. Himself? Sure enough there he was standing holding two gleaming emeralds "Fall into slumber within my soul, Iblis! You cursed Flames of Disaster!" The emeralds glowed even brighter and the flames were seemingly pulled towards him though not within him like he'd said "Why wont it accept me as the Vessel!?" He asked aloud before the cat from his dreams stepped in "Blaze?" asked the other silver as she placed a hand on his shoulder.
Silver recognized what was going on almost immediately he'd seen this before in his dreams he looked away just as he saw Blaze start to fade away. "So Blaze dying in my dreams was because I wasn't able to take the flames into myself?" Silver immediately began to blame himself for what happened to Blaze. "This is all my fault. I have to fix this, somehow.."
"Poor Silver, Always trying to shoulder the responsibility, even when there's no hope at all, Your optimism is nothing more than mindless self deception" A black hedgehog with blue stripes glared at him though Silver barely heard him. "I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry" was all Silver could say as all his memories of blaze seemed to rush back at once.
"Yes you're sorry and yet.. You let it happen" Silver looked up at the figure of another person he recognized though not for anything good. "You're too late to help her, you never help anyone! Everything you touch suffers! You like to think you're a hero but you're a failure, you bring nothing but pain!"
"You're wrong" If this was indeed all in his head these must have been his doubts personified he couldn't let it get to him he needed to try and find some sort of way out of here. "What have you actually accomplished Silver? You can't defeat the Ifrit, you save people only for them to be roasted alive later, you're just delaying the inevitable!" Silver let loose a blast of psychic energy dispelling the specter for now he was just hoping to get out of here before it showed up again.
Next he found himself in some sort of void. It was even worse than his own time, it was cold and dark like all the light in the world had vanished. Once again he was seeing himself this time he was stood with a black hedgehog similar to the one he'd seen before but with red stripes instead of blue and a glowing golden hedgehog, The golden hedgehog seemed to share power with him and the black hedgehog there was a flash of golden light and all of a sudden he was awake back on that rooftop with Tulip. "I remember."
So took a while to write this didn't it? sorry about that I've been pretty busy and I haven't had much time to keep writing.
