Silver was awake sure but he wasn't very responsive. It took a moment for him to notice Tulip was even talking to him. "You remember? Remember what?" She asked looking a little concerned, eventually Silver got up shaking his head.

"Oh right, well I remember my other life, I remember fighting in another world with a cat named Blaze. It was similar to this one but we were fighting a creature called Iblis not the Ifrit and then I time traveled and then I was nowhere it was a void with nothing and… I was blonde? I don't really know. Not much that could help fight the Ifrit all though maybe…" he stood up heading towards the edge of the roof. "They say when the Ifrit first emerged it was mortal if those emeralds still exist, I could use them to travel back to before it first emerged and stop it" He clenched his fist as he looked over the destroyed city and he felt something new, hope maybe.

Tulip watched Silver. She wasn't completely sure what to say to him, he seemed a little distant after a few minutes she spoke up. "Mr. Silver? What are you talking about?" her voice snapped him back to reality.

"Oh it would take too long to explain but let's just say I might have a way to fix this world I just need something called a Chaos Emerald" He wasn't exactly sure if they still existed let alone where to find one but they were really his only hope. "That is if they still exist."

"The Emeralds will still exist in some form I promise, They're ancient powers older than the world itself" Alaya spoke up reminding Silver she was still there. "Times past you could have gone to Angel island but when the last guardian passed away Chaos sank the island nobody even knows where it is now."

"You can see the future right? couldn't you tell me where to find an emerald?" Silver questioned though Alaya simply shook her head.

"Not exactly no, I could tell you where you might find one but I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure one way or another" She explained to Silvers slight disappointment still he figured it was better than nothing. "Beats searching blindly so if you don't mind"

"Alright well, I… can see a lake of fire east of here and the ruins of a tyrant's empire all though there are others there seeking the emerald. That's all. I'm afraid the reading has made me weary. I need to rest." Alaya seemed exhausted, Silver felt a twinge of guilt for asking her.

"Well if there's other people looking I think it's best if you stay here kid" Tulip didn't seem happy about it but she complied she'd stay with Alaya until Silver got back. Silver flew up into the air looking down at the pair. "I'll be back soon, stay safe" He waved before flying east as fast as he could.

After a few minutes a sign came into view. It obviously said something at some point but most of the letters were melted. All he could make out was 'Eg_m_ L_n_' He touched down on the wreckage of some sort of machine before making his way inside the base.

He'd never been here before but something about this place made him feel cold, the metal walls made him feel claustrophobic but it did help the base last longer than most places he'd been to, on the inside it looked like whoever lived here had only just left. He could hear the clanging of machinery through the walls, something was obviously still running.

"Hee Hee Hee Hee… Not many people would trespass in a place like this. What brings you here, hedgehog?" Silver looked up and saw a man he'd never seen before; he had extremely thin arms and legs disproportionate to his round body and a bushy gray mustache. He wore a red jumpsuit with yellow and black boots and he was wearing a black military-style jacket.

"I'm here looking for a way to fight the Ifrit if you must know, Who are you?" Silver didn't know what to make of the man, he didn't like to judge people too quickly but that sinister laugh certainly didn't help his impression of him.

"Interesting it seems you don't even know where you're standing right now. These are the ruins of the once proud city of Eggman Land established by my ancestor, Doctor Ivo Robotnik otherwise known as Doctor Eggman. You can call me Doctor Eggman Nega. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Silver the hedgehog." Silver introduced himself before flying up to where Eggman Nega was standing. The man seemed eccentric but basically harmless so Silver didn't pay him much mind. "So Doctor, what do you know about the Chaos emeralds?"

"You seek to use them as a weapon against the Ifrit I presume well unfortunately The emeralds aren't sufficient for that Task the Ifrit is immortal no matter how hard you hit it, it will get back up." Silver already knew this of course, but that wasn't what he had in mind.

"True but when the Ifrit first emerged it was mortal, it only became Immortal after it reached full strength, If I could go back in time and kill it in the past then it wouldn't be here to destroy the future" Silver was too busy explaining his plan to notice the change in Eggman Nega's demeanor or the buttons he was pressing on his gloves.

"I must hand it to you Silver. That is a brilliant plan, I tracked one of the emeralds to the center of this facility and I am actually in possession of an emerald myself." Not too far away a robot's circuits flared into life responding to the buttons on Eggman Nega's gloves.

"You are? Where is it? Could I use it?" Silver asked, sounding quite enthusiastic not noticing the sinister edge to Eggman Nega's voice. "Why it's right behind you!" Eggman Nega shouted as Silver was tackled from behind by a black hedgehog shaped robot with bright red eyes and Yellow stripes.

"Metal Sonic 3.0! Dispose of this pest while I find the other emerald. I must thank you Silver, I didn't know you could use the emeralds for Time travel using the emerald in the facility and the one powering Metal, I could go back to when the Ifrit was vulnerable and take control of it myself then nobody could stand against me! The world would be mine!" Eggman Nega yelled before jumping into his eggmobile and escaping deeper into the facility while Silver was distracted fighting Metal.

As Silver attempted to stand his leg buckled and he very nearly fell, he quickly remembered his Leg was still strained, he floated upwards trying not to put pressure on it and pushed himself out of the way just before Metal Sonic 3.0 could punch him, Metal punched through the steel floor and got his hand stuck for a moment. Silver took the opportunity picking up metal with His telekinesis and throwing him against the wall all though the Robot didn't seem to mind too much.

He was back on Silver in moments who just about managed to avoid a punch to the face, only to get punched in the stomach the blow winded Silver long enough for Metal to kick him into the wall of the base. Silver barely avoided another attack backing up to gain some distance. The creak of Metal could be heard as Silver pulled a few metal sheets off the wall, He sent them flying at 3.0 who avoided them as best he could though one of them hit him in the chest area.

Silver Grabbed one of Metals arms with his telekinesis and started to pull, The Circuits hissed as Silver pulled one of Metals arms out of the socket, being a robot of course 3.0 didn't feel pain but he still recognised this wasn't going well but before he could make a move to escape a force began to pull his head and body in different directions, sparks flew everywhere as Silver pulled of the robots head, Metal Sonic 3.0's eyes faded to balck as Silver fell against a wall from exhaustion.

It wasn't the most elegant victory in the world but Silver was just glad he had survived the encounter once he had caught his breath he walked over to Metal Sonic 3.0's body and pulled out a red gem which he could only assume to be a Chaos Emerald. Though he wasn't done yet he had to catch up to Eggman Nega.
