Here is the next chapter. I hope you enjoy it. Please read and review, Love Moon x

Harry asked Nora to bring him a cup of tea and light the fire in the room as it was now getting a little bit chilly. Nora smiled and did as he asked of her. Within minutes he had a steaming cup of tea in his hands just the way he liked it. He even had the shortbread biscuits he loved on the side. Nora was so thoughtful and he loved it. As he had nothing for Nora to do right now he instructed her to work in the castle with the other elves which she was delighted to do. He sat down in front of the fire and took up the second part of the letter to read. It was something he was very excited for.

To whomever has been granted access to the sanctury,

Please note you are here only because one or both of us have said you can be. Should you do anything wrong or we change our minds then you must get out at once. I do not have time for people who waste time on stupid things they don't need. One thing which is always so misunderstood about us Hufflepuffs is our nature. We are so disliked because we are blunt even to a fault at times. Not many people know that this is the real reason why we are even disliked in the firsty place. They call us duffers but it is they who are more at risk. We work hard and play hard in Hufflepuff. We are very loyal even to a fault at times. As Rowena no doubt said to you about her house, my house now has faults as well. As time goes on and our houses grow older they start to resemble less and less what we intended them to be. I will not mince words, Hufflepuffs these days are failures. We are meant to be loyal and understand what it actually means to be loyal as well. If I am going to be loyal to something than surely I must know why I choose to support it. My friends supporting it is not a valid reason for me to blindly do so myself.

Hufflepuff has become a house of severe judgement of those who wish to think for themselves and go against the grain. To be frank I am tired of it. Where is the individuality in that? Well, there is none! As Rowena no doubt told you this parchment is designed to update itself to match your current time. Always be aware that not everyone who would offer you assistance would do so for the right reasons. Think to yourself, what would they get out of helping you? Question everything. It is something my puffs have forgotten to do and if you are a puff get your shit together. In fact the scanner which scanned you as you entered says you're a claw which is lovely. I have seen Rowena's house many times and it has always pleased me each time I have seen it. It is bright and airy as you will know. My own house is designed to be more cosy and comforting like a den with many levels and layers to it.

On the right hand side you will see on the bookcase a book for medieval wine crafting. You will find that I have a good sense of humour at times. If you pull on it the shelves will open to reveal my office which is of use to you at any time you should require it. My own house elf Molly will answer to my portrait and I am lucky to have her. As you will no doubt see my office is not crowded with plants like Professor Sprout's office is. I just preferred to keep plants out of my office in case they distracted me too much. They are after all beautiful. In a way our magic is like that of a gorgeous magical plant. If we don't water it and give it plenty of sun or practice, if you will, everything goes south. The real and harsh truth is that people were persecuted and killed in the witch trials who were witches because they relied far too heavily on their wands. They died becauser they couldn't defend themselves with wandless magic. It really is that simple. What most people don't realise because they never think of it or someone never tells them is that accidental magic is also wandless magic. If we hone that enough when we are young by the time we reach the age of school attending we will be fluent in it. I myself have impeccable wandless magic and I believe you should too.

When we use a wand to cast spells certain movements are required for it to work but these movements aren't necessary when we use wandless magic. Also something else which no one will ever tell you is that you do not need to say the names of the spells you are casting very loudly either. You can say it quietly and with enough intention it will just happen for you. If, like me, you are quite proficient wandlessly, you may find that a wand holds you back somewhat when you use it. Please don't worry if you feel like this and know you are not alone. If you are excellent at wandless magic remember always that learning something new will always be a breeze until it comes to learning the wand movements of it. What no one else will tell you either is that the main thing you should really know or understand is why the spell is even used in the first place. Why is another spell not used in it's place? Is it because it's easier to learn or just because the teacher of whichever subject it happens to be will teach you that way. Each teacher teaches their lessons differently and for different reasons as well but all is good.

Never forget that wandless magic or the use of a wand can be used in all lessons including potions class. I will not mince words your current potions teacher Professor Severus Snape will never tell you this. In fact he'll say it's forbidden or foolish or something but he'd be very wrong indeed. This kind of magic can be used in potions to create simple barriers so that his incompetant snakes, who couldn't hide their true intentions if I paid them to, cannot sabotage potions on purpose when he is not looking. He knows they do it too he's just pardon my French an ignorant fuck. As you may or may not know there are wandless spells to lower someone's voice. May I suggest learning it and using it in the lessons of Professor Severus Snape. He tends to like the sound of his own voice a bit too much especially when he is shouting at and scaring his students into making errors which in turn harm them. In short he's a bastard and this spell would bring him down a peg or two. If he can't shout he'll be less intimidating you see.

I can tell that one first year, Neville Longbottom of Gryffindor house carries not only a heavy burden on his shoulders but a wand which is not his own which is not only exceptionally foolish but dangerous as well. I can tell he was ordered to use the wand by his family but it is not rightly his. We can just make that determination. Ask Holly to find him and make him an identical looking wand which actually fits him using custom chosen materials. The old wand can be destroyed as it is of no use to him. This way the right wand can be crafted for him and no one ever needs to know he's not using the wand he was ordered to use by his family. Holly has ways and means to make anything he chooses resembles the old wand he was ordered to use so no one will be any the wiser. Elf spells cannot be removed by any wizard out there either so should Ollivander somehow see the wand he would assume he made it and think nothing of it. Neville Longbottom's magic will only improve from there as will his confidence. He could have been in a similar position to Harry Potter. His parents were not murdered like Harry Potters. They were tortured into insanity and essentially locked in their own brains. They reside permanently at the local hospital where it is hoped that treatment will soon become available for them. Unfortunately that has yet to happen but I have no doubt it could one day. As this parchment is designed to update itself to your time frame the information on it does as well. I can but assume you know Neville Longbottom. If you'ren not his friend just treat him with kindness none the less. It will do your heart good.

When you next enter Hufflepuff common room you will find a sign on the notice board which cannot be removed by any means which says that accidental and wandless magic are the same. I don't know if Rowena intends to do the same as me but I will give my Puffs any edge I can. Merlin knows they need it. Especially with those quite frankly foolhardy and dangerous Gryffindors running around all over the place. Everyone always assumes it's Slytherin but it seriously isn't. Slytherin may be very ridiculous and up thier own arses but they're not dangerous like Gryffindor is. The Gryffindors of today wouldn't know chivalry if it bit them in the butts. The point is that all the modern houses of today have many lessons to learn, especially mine.

Hopefully Cedric Diggory of my own house can be brought down a peg or two as well. He thinks far too highly of himself and it is this foolish bravado which could get him killed one day if he's not careful. I shall endeavour to watch over him carefully from my fireplace portrait. Children should deal only with childish matters and adults should deal with all adult matters. I am a seer as well and have seen that whoever reads this letter in the way in which it is now written will have many adult issues thrust upon them. This is not at all fair and you have my absolute permission to punish the adults involved. They should be responsible for their own issues and if they cannot then they must suffer. If you ever need help you don't think any teacher would ever be able to give you dear please don't hesitate to ask me. I will never judge you. Merlin knows my Puffs get enough of that as it is.

Now for the other founders as I know you will ask me about them. I know not what Rowena has said in her letter just that my letter will be more blunt. I am always the most blunt of the four founders and I know this. Godric Gryffindor was none other than a swine. He had far too many women far too much of the time he was here. He was the headmaster as we elected him to that role. It was not a role we honestly had the time for what with teaching, cooking and running our houses. We did not have house elves to cook for us at that time. They only came years later after he'd been headmaster for ten or so years. Our jobs did get easier then. He was more than happy to take over the role but he was incredibly reckless. He traumatised many children who saw him falling from broom cupboards with a gaggle of women behind him all in various states of undress. It was most unbecoming and is the reason the school has rules about fornication in the broom cupbaords. He was a hot headed fool who ran into every situation wand ablaze without ever stopping to assess what was going on first. We decided to surprise him one year for his birthday. We'd been secretive around him about the plans and he grew suspicious but he never told us that. When we made up a lie to get to him enter the room at the moment we wanted him to he entered wand ablaze and quite literally set the room on fire. Because of my quick wandless magic the flames barely spread at all. He had told us he thought the castle was under attack and that we were too scared to tell him about it. He thought that this was the true reason for our secretive natures. He had never looked more stupid. He actually cried when he realised there was no problem and no girl he needed to save. He would have liked to have been able to tell his friends he'd saved a damsel in distress but he couldn't now.

We never planned another surprise for him as it just wasn't worth it anymore. When Cecilly was born he brooded in his room for weeks crying and screaming at any student who wouold come near him mor his office. His Beatrice had been unfaithful you see with Salazar and henceforth the child had been born. Salazars life had been torn apart by the death of his daughters and he became unable to empathise with anyone. This did mean that when Beatrice had drunk one too many ales and approached him carnally he did the deed without thought for Godric. I had to stun Godric myself because he was scaring the students. I know it wasn't right but yet again a situation for adults to deal with was being broadcast somewhere children could see it. I was most disgusted with them. What happened to Salazar was tragic no question but he allowed it to consume and fill him with hatred when he didn't need to do that. Because he made that choice I find I cannot have as much sympathy for him as I otherwise would. I am about fairness in all things and in such a situation nothing is really fair.

Train a child in the way he should go and he will never falter it is said. I have always believed this to be true. Remember school is a place of learning but also a place of making our lifelong friends. I would have been lost without mine. Friends are like trees. Some are leaves on the branches which blow away with any strong gust and are just in our lives for a short time. Others are like branches who will stand with you to a point but they do eventually break or succumb to the pressures of others. The most important friends you want in your life are roots. They are with you always come hell of high water. Rowena is my root and I am so lucky to have her. She will always guide me and advise me with kindness and it is my wish to be your root while you attend this illustrious school and afterwards if a portrait of mine can be brought home with you. Take care of yourself student and do all you do wisely.

Signed Helga Hufflepuff.

He read the letter with a smile. It had been brutally honest in some parts but it was a joy to read none the less. He called Holly and asked her to do things for Neville like they'd been mentioned in the letter. Neville as it happened also had a free period now and he was in the library alone when she approached him. He was very alarmed at the sight of the elf but further stunned when she asked him to touch various jars and tell her what felt warm to his touch. She assured him she just needed his advice as she could see he wouldn't trust her otherwise. Stunned Neville held each jar and told her what worked for him. She thanked him setting them aside and left at once. She had been studying his wand he'd had on the table where he'd been studying so knew exactly what it looked like. Later on she summoned his wand from him in the corridor and put the new look alike on the floor where he'd assumed he dropped it. When he picked it up it bonded with him, his blocked core unblocking and releasing a shock wave which shook the corridor he was in. He didn't realise he'd been the cause of it though and was very frightened by it. Harry left the RavenPuff Sanctuary ready for his next lesson which was potions. This would indeed be fun.
