Chapter 3

Eren's POV:

A new day has come, and I'm now with the other Scouts since they want to try out what my Titan can do. So I decide to reveal to them one of my secrets.

Once I manage to transform, Hange is excited and she yells, "Go! Eren! Show us what you can do!"

I sigh as I turn to Mikasa, I come out of my nape and say, "Mikasa, now try to attack me."

Mikasa nods as she shoots out the hooks of the ODM gear at the trees as she is going to attack my nape, but it is just the moment, my eyes glowed and suddenly, everything starts to become slow as I quickly duck and move forward.

"So fast!" After getting back at normal speed, Mikasa gasps in shock.

"What the... since when can Eren's Titan move so fast like that?" Jean says.

"Oi, brat, what did you just do?" Levi asks. I come out of the nape and sigh, "Back when Mikasa and I were imprisoned, for some reason, the memories are coming back... and I also realized what my Titan's special ability is. The Attack Titan... has the ability to manipulate time."

"Manipulate time?" This causes everyone to gasp in shock. I continue, "There are two ways for me to use this ability. I can accelerate the process, or slower, and even stop the time. I lowered the time of Mikasa's attack so that I can dodge it."

"That means the Attack Titan can be the fastest Titan now..." Hange says. "But what do you mean fast forward the process?"

"Just watch." I go back into the Titan's body and grab a boulder, I aim at the tree as I throw it, and when my eyes glowed, everyone jumps as the boulder suddenly accelerates and crashes the tree, destroying it.

Floch says, "That attack just made the Beast Titan's throwing like nothing... how was anyone supposed to dodge that?"

I decide to come out of the Titan and say, "I know... if only we have this sooner, we wouldn't have any casualties..."

Mikasa pats my shoulder and says, "We couldn't change the past, all we can do now is move forward."

"But to think that you have this kind of special ability... that's so awesome!" Hange says. Then she turns to Armin, "It's your turn, Armin. We have to see your Colossal Titan form."

"But..." Armin is a little scared. "The Colossal Titan has the strongest destruction..."

I sigh and say, "Everyone jump onto my shoulder, I'll get you as far away from the explosion as possible."

Everyone nods since this is probably Armin's first transform, he won't be able to control the power. When Armin bites his hand and transforms, I use the slow time ability as I quickly run as far as possible. But everyone is feeling dizzy because of the quick speed.

After we are safe from the destruction, Levi says, "Hey, don't just stand there, we have to put off the fire."

The others nod as they prepare buckets of water while they try to put off the fire, I approach Armin with Hange still on my shoulder. Armin was trying to approach me, but with his heavy body, he trips and falls to the ground.

"Armin!" I quickly jump out of my titan as I cut the nape of the Colossal Titan and bring Armin out. If I remember, I can also use the Titan abilities outside of my Titan. So I accelerate the power of Titans until Armin wakes up.

"Armin, are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah... it was my first transform... but I don't think I was in control of my body... I think I understand what is going on back when you attack Mikasa in the Trost District the other day..." Armin says.

"First controls are hard. It's a good thing you didn't attack us like I did when I first transformed." I say. "But all you need to do is to wake up as soon as possible so that you can take control of the titan body."

Hange says, "But that was amazing! Your transformation is awesome as always. I wonder when we can actually try the ability to produce steam?"

I didn't bother to listen to Hange's old ways, I notice that Armin is sweating. "Armin, are you okay?"

"I'm fine... it's just, is Paradis always this hot?" Armin asks.

I touch his face and I call Mikasa to bring a bucket of water so he can cool himself up. Armin pours the bucket onto his body until he sighs, "That feels better."

"Colossal Titan has the highest temperature of a titan, so those must be the aftermath." I shake my head. "I guess more practice will let you used to it."

"Just great... it is really hard to put out all of the fire." Sasha says as the others finally get here. "So the experiment is complete?"

"Like my first time, a failure, but since Colossal Titan is giant, so it's a good thing that he trips before attacking someone without conscious." I say.

"I guess the training's over, we'll head back to inform everything to our queen." Hange says.

The others nod as we all head back to the capital. And it is just then that Historia summons me to the balcony. I wonder what is he going to talk about.

"I'm glad that you've come." Historia says as I stand beside her. "How's the training going?"

"Armin managed to transform into the Colossal Titan for the first time, but like my first time, he couldn't control his Titan. That means we need more practice."

"I see..." Historia sighs. "Most of the time, I've been stuck with paperwork for taxes and other stuff, and I've also been visiting the orphanages and helping out when I can."

"You're doing a good job, and I'm glad that we have a ruler that genuinely cares about them instead of what your father or the first Reiss King did. I think most of the nobles should learn from you."

"I wish as well, they only care about themselves and how they can gain more power and wealth. I am not sure if I can reign them in." Historia replies.

"In my opinion, you have been kind to our people and you will also even defend the military as well. If anything, you're the best monarch Paradis has for a hundred years." I say.

"Thank you Eren," Historia says to me with a smile, "But I don't think that the nobles see any of that."

Now I'm getting a little angry, I ask, "Why are you caring about what they think?"

"They are constantly pining for me with marriage proposals, if any of their families are related to the King, they will be able to get more power." Historia says.

"And do you want any of them to be the king?" I ask, and much to my surprise, Historia starts to burst into tears. "It's not like they love or care about me..."

I feel bad for Historia, so I decide to pull her into a hug. "I won't let them lay a finger on you. If they want you, they're going to have to go through me first. They are also Eldians, and as the Founding Titan, I can do something to them if you want to."

Historia stares at me before saying, "Thank you, Eren... I really needed that. That's why I want to have a proposal for you."

For some reason, she starts to become nervous, and she starts to play with her fingers to calm her nerves. "It's alright, Historia. You can ask me anything."

Historia closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, after steeling her resolve, she asks, "What would you say about a marriage between us?"

"What?" I suddenly jump as I can't believe what she's hearing.

"I know that it's out of the blue and all, but if I am to marry I see no better man than you." Historia says with a shy tone.

"I'm flattered Historia, but I thought that you preferred girls since you and Ymir were kind of a thing." I say, and her cheeks start to become red.

"Yes, I liked Ymir but that doesn't mean I don't like guys too." Historia says, "In fact, I think I've already developed a crush on you back in the training days. Your determination is incredible and you're also great at adapting to any situation. Not to mention you also love and care about your friends to the point that you would want to do the Rumbling to protect all of us."

Is this what she thinks about me? But then I also think about Mikasa, didn't she also have some sort of crush on me?

"Historia, why would you choose me? I mean, there are still other people out there, and I might be the biggest villain of the whole world because of what I can do..."

"For your first question, none of them would come close to you in comparison. They would see me as a brooding mare and a way for them to gain power, but with you...I know that you would see me as a person and a friend. And for the second question, didn't Mikasa and I already want to share the same burdens with you? That also makes us the biggest villains as well."

"Are you sure about this Historia? I really don't want you to feel like you are pressured into doing something just so it can act as an escape."

"I know that. I may possibly be acting out of desperation but I do believe that it is the right choice for me as I would be in a marriage with someone that I know and who cares about me. Instead of my marriage being a sense of duty and obligation, I would be marrying someone that I know and have come to care about."

"But there is also a slight problem... that is, Mikasa."

Historia sighs, "You're right. However, a lot of the Kings have more than one wife at a time. I don't mind sharing you with her, but I am not sure what she'll think..."

"Do you want me to talk to her?" I decide to ask, "I mean... if it's my selfish desire, who doesn't want to be with a goddess like you? But then again, I never realized Mikasa's feelings until Mother Ymir showed me the future that I would try to make her hate me."

"So did you truly like her?" Historia asks.

"I don't know... maybe deep down inside I do...and perhaps the same as you." I say. "This is really confusing..."

"It's fine, just take your time, you don't need to give me your answer right now." Historia says.

I nod as I excuse myself from the balcony, I am heading back to the scouts and I hope that Sasha is not going to eat my dinner because I was absent. And it is a good thing that they still have my plate on the table.

"Where were you, Eren?" Armin asks.

"I was summoned by the queen for some important things." I sigh. "She wants to ask about the progress of the experiment."

"But why didn't she ask Commander Hange?" Armin asks.

"I don't know, maybe she feels comfortable talking to me instead since we have been training in the same cadet corps." I say as I quickly finish my dinner. And once I'm done, I decide to find Mikasa.

"Eren? What's wrong?" Mikasa asks as I grab her hand, unaware of the blush on her face as I bring her to my room.

Here is a new chapter, and Historia wants to marry Eren, but Eren is also concerned about Mikasa. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be Mikasa's response.
