Yes yes they are fanfiction, I've heard it countless times, but first of all I specified that you don't have to finish writing these fanfiction and secondly I don't have the possibility to have my say (like you did here)? I have recently read the books. Why don't they tell me where they read these things that are different from how I read them. The other day I read SOM at the point where Annabeth talks about her fatal flaw, but I didn't read a desire for power (I did it because one person told me: "in that point Annabeth's desire for power shines through" ).

Yes, I'm OOC, but sometimes there are radical character changes the change just happens without making sense why it became like this, and sometimes they make me say why they didn't create a new character. They created it anyway and gave it the name of a character who wouldn't do these things. Then there are the comments in these fanfics, where you understand that people believe the character would do these things.

I am 27 years old and had experience with relationships, from these relationships I understood that the relationships that work best are those with partners with different characters. But Annabeth and Percy aren't that different either, they're both smart (in their own way), they're sarcastic, they have lousy childhoods and they would sacrifice themselves for friends. Yes Annabeth is arrogant but that doesn't mean she wants power, because arrogance already makes you feel superior to the Gods.

I still don't understand how in these fanfiction Percy trusts a stranger after the people he's known for years have betrayed him or at least he doesn't try to understand why people have betrayed him. Come on Percy is smart he would know something is wrong (he has a fantastic sense of deduction, even Annabeth thinks Percy is smart).
Because Chaos always gives him the highest role right away. How does he command an army if he was so stupid not to understand that he was about to be betrayed.

In the sense: he is not the son of Poseidon and Sally or was raised by someone else. I don't know about you, but if something from my past changed, I would be different. Many of Percy's characteristics come from his past and from his parents (even his acquired ones).
