"So Sasuke," onyx eyes fluttered open and through bleary, sleepy eyes, saw the figure of his brother standing above him. "When did you decide on partaking in the prophecy?"
He raised a confused eyebrow at his brother before looking to his side. His eyes widened as he realized he was holding an equally confused, human Naruto, in his arms. In his bed.
Confused cerulean eyes met his own and at the same instant, the two jumped away from each other, out of the bed, their faces now a darker shade of red.
Snickers came from around the room and Sasuke noticed it wasn't just his brother in his room, but Kakashi, Iruka and Kyuubi were there too. He narrowed his eyes at the blonde. "Why were you in my bed?!"
Naruto glanced away, avoiding Sasuke's gaze. "I climbed in as a fox to try and wake you up, you were having a nightmare." He then gave him a small glare, his cheeks still tinted pink. "But I got too close and you trapped me there. You seemed to calm down though, so I just fell asleep."
"You know," Iruka started through a fit of giggles at the boys' situation. "Naruto probably transformed into his human form while he was asleep, being too hot as a fox."
Both Naruto and Sasuke stared at Iruka before turning back to each other and glaring.
Before either could say anything, Kakashi cleared his throat, the room giving him their attention. "So for training today, Fugaku will be joining us. He wants to get a feel of how these training sessions go."
"Yes," Itachi spoke up, stepping away from the bed. "So we have to make sure we remember that we are all human." He gave pointed glances to Kyuubi and Iruka who both nodded in return. "And when Father is nearby, Naruto," this time his gaze landed on the blonde. "You must remain in your fox form."
"Agreed." Everyone but Sasuke chimed in. Everyone glanced at the raven, who was brooding to himself. He looked up to see all eyes on him. He silently nodded his agreement.
"Alright, let's get ready for the day! We'll meet at the training grounds." Kakashi exclaimed with a clap of his hands. The group separated, each heading to their room.
After getting ready, Sasuke picked up the cage after Naruto got in, making himself comfy. The two agreed without argument, that Naruto should stay in his fox form until they can safely believe they won't run into Fugaku. Though Sasuke was suspicious that Naruto only wanted to be carried around.
Sasuke began the trek towards the training grounds. Heading to the stairs, he ran into his father. As he got closer, his father's smirk seemed to grow bigger. The man stopped after passing the stairs, waiting for Sasuke to reach him.
"Sasuke, heading to the training grounds?" His voice was booming.
Sasuke stopped just in front of his father. "Yes, father."
"Good, good." He eyed his son carefully. He hummed loudly causing Sasuke to raise an eyebrow. "How's the relationship between Itachi and that red-head, Kyuubi?"
Athe the mention of their names, Sasuke's eyes widened briefly and he glanced away from his father quickly. He shifted his weight to his other foot.
Fugaku took notice of the immediate change in Sasuke's behavior and he mentally smirked. He knew it. He has Sasuke exactly where he wants him.
Sasuke cleared his throat before standing up straighter, giving his father a nonchalant look. "I haven't known Kyuubi for too long. I can't give my proper opinion on the man."
Fugaku narrowed his eyes slightly. "I just don't see what type of gain Itachi can get from marrying this man. He's not from a prestigious family, he can't give him kids, and he doesn't even own any land."
Sasuke gave his father a shrug. He had nothing to say to that, at least nothing he could admit. He looked down at Naruto who was staring at him.
"You know," he took a step closer to Sasuke, who tore his gaze away from the fox. "I'm very suspicious of that red-head, especially after the party. He was acting very nervous and on edge, like he was hiding something." He paused, looking Sasuke over carefully, his eyes narrowed even further in suspicion. "Keep an eye on him for me, I think he might be using Itachi."
"I agree." Sasuke commented, thinking on the prophecy.
Fugaku's eyes widened before he laughed heartily, clapping Sasuke on the back. "Wonderful! And soon I'll be making arrangements for your own marriage."
A very low whine came from the cage, Sasuke glanced down to see Naruto's eyes filled with anger and hurt. Onyx eyes turned back to his father who clearly did not hear the small creature. "Sounds good, father."
Fugaku stood up straighter, a sense of pride overcoming him. Sasuke was the obedient child he always wanted Itachi to be. "You're doing the right thing. See you in a bit at the training grounds." He placed his hand on Sasuke's shoulder as he passed.
Sasuke once again made his way to the training grounds. He felt guilty and he was unable to look at Naruto who would occasionally let out an angered sigh or hurt whine.
Once they reached the outside, Naruto gave up on the idea that Sasuke was going to respond. He curled into himself, glaring as best as he could at the raven.
When they reached the training grounds, everyone but Fugaku was already there.
Iruka smiled as Sasuke reached the group, stopping close next to Kakashi and Itachi. Kyuubi stood next to the brunette. "Sasuke, Naruto, welcome. Now that you're here, I'll be going over what a typical lesson plan looks like."
"Yes, let's hear it!" Fugaku's voice seemed to come out of nowhere and the group watched as he made his way over to him. "Please, continue, Iruka."
The brunette gave him a nervous smile but nodded. "S-so we'll start off with going over the difference between spell casting and a demon's magic then move into awakening Sasuke's sharingan. And for the final portion of the lesson, we'll spend that time with physical training and learning how to tame a demon using your sharingan."
"Yes, that sounds excellent!" Fugaku praised. "Let's begin."
Iruka coughed into his fist. "O-okay. So we'll start off with the basic knowledge of spell casting, using a spell or enchantment to cast magic through hand signals. Demons themselves are the conduit, they gather magic from the air and earth around them. Demons can also learn human spells as well, making those spells more dangerous. The Nine-Tails special attack is called a Rasengan, a powerful wind attack where magical energy from the air is gathered into an orb. The attack, when used correctly, can take down their opponent in one shot. If used as an area attack, miles and miles of land could be decimated by the blow."
Fugaku narrowed his eyes. The attack seemed familiar the way Iruka was describing it. He remembered the attack Minato was going to use before Itachi appeared. Was that the rasengan that Iruka was talking about? "Iruka."
Iruka paused in his teachings and looked at Fugaku. "Yes, sir?"
"Does that demon," he nodded his head towards Naruto who was still in the cage, looking angry. "Know that attack?"
Iruka looked unsure. He gave a glance towards Kyuubi, he was pretty sure they knew the attack in theory. But without their father to show them how to gather the magical energy to perform it, he doubts they actually knew how to use the rasengan. "It's said to be believed that the attack would be passed down from their parent but seeing how young this demon is and from the time the last Nine-Tails was killed, I'm pretty sure it hasn't learned it." He looked at Naruto. "Though, whether or not it'll learn it on it's own naturally, only time will tell."
Fugaku elbowed both Itachi and Sasuke, both of them giving him their attention. "Make sure to memorize this." He tapped at his temple with his pointer finger, smirking.
A growl came from the cage, and everyone turned to look at the fox in the cage who was still glaring at Sasuke. The raven quickly turned his gaze.
"Anyways," Fugaku raised an eyebrow at the pair before looking back at Iruka. "I believe in your lessons. They prove to be useful and knowledgeable. I'm hoping for today, that you can make an exception and skip to where you'll teach them on taming the Nine-Tails."
Iruka fidgeted on the spot. He could tell Naruto was annoyed, hell, he was pretty sure everyone knew Naruto was annoyed. The problem was, he didn't know what was wrong and with Naruto having this attitude, unsure of how he would react. With a sigh, he nodded with some hesitation. He motioned for Itachi to come closer.
Itachi stepped away while Iruka took the cage from Sasuke, placing it closer to where he and Itachi stood. With a shaky hand, Iruka unlatched the lock and opened the door.
Naruto marched out of the cage, his snout pointed high in the air and making sure to avoid Sasuke's gaze. He made his way in between Iruka and Itachi and let out a huff as he sat down.
"Okay Itachi, all you have to do is activate your sharingan and look him in the eyes." He nodded. "Now, even a Nine-Tails who hasn't unlocked his full magical potential can be hypnotized by a lesser sharingan than the Amaterasu if caught off guard. But only for a brief period of time." He looked at Itachi and gave an encouraging smile. "We'll start off with you Itachi, and then Sasuke can try."
Itachi gave him a nod before activating his sharingan and looking at Naruto.
The fox reluctantly turned and looked up at Itachi. His eyes widened as he felt mesmerized by Itachi's eyes. Time seemed to slow and he felt himself get lightheaded before he fell to the ground. He was shocked by the immense power that came from Itachi. He struggled to stand up, failing a couple times until Itachi deactivated the sharingan. He stood up and shook himself off.
A hearty laugh came from Fugaku. He began to clap loudly as Itachi walked back to his place. "That was incredible, Itachi! Great work."
Sasuke confidently stepped forward, taking his palace by Iruka. Fugaku watched him expectantly. The raven activated his sharingan and looked at Naruto.
The fox blatantly ignores him, turning his head to look the opposite direction Sasuke was in. Sasuke narrowed his eyes in a glare. "Naruto!" He hissed, so only he could hear. "Come on."
The fox stood up, beginning to trot away. Sasuke quickly followed after him, causing Naruto to begin to run. A growl left the raven's lips as he began to chase the fox around the training grounds.
Kakashi and Itachi watched in amusement, trying to hide their chuckles. Iruka and Kyuubi looked at each other before glancing at Fugaku, who was frowning as he watched his son chase the demon.
Fugaku let out a disappointed sigh before shaking his head. He took a step forward and placed his hand on top of Iruka's shoulder. "I want you to drag the potential out of Sasuke. He needs all the power he can get." With those words, he cast one last disappointed glance at his youngest son and turned to head back to the castle.
Sasuke noticed his father leaving and stopped chasing after Naruto. Frowning as the figure of his father got smaller and smaller until it disappeared out of sight. He narrowed his eyes in a glare and directed it towards Naruto. "You!" He narrowed his glare as Naruto didn't even bother to glance at him. "You're trying to make me look like a fool in front of my father!"
In an instant, Naruto transformed into a human, his own fierce glare directed at Sasuke. "At least I'm not the one trying to betray us all!"
Wide eyes looked at Naruto then to Sasuke who became defensive. "I'm not betraying anybody! I was just asked to keep an eye on Kyuubi."
Itachi frowned at his younger brother. "Sasuke, we need to be a united front. You need to be one hundred percent in this, otherwise this will all be for nothing."
"I am in this, a hundred percent." He grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Oh yeah?" Naruto growled out, taking a step forward. "Then how come you agreed to meet other women from other kingdoms for an arranged marriage?!"
Itachi scowled and made his way to his little brother, towering over him. Sasuke turned his head. "Get your priorities in check, little brother. We will not risk our lives for you to play both sides." He narrowed his eyes further, warning the younger raven of what would come if he betrayed them. He sucked his teeth before taking a step back and making his way back to the castle.
Kyuubi looked at the group before nodding and following after Itachi.
Kakashi came up to stand next to Sasuke who was still looking after Itachi and Kyuubi. Kakashi placed his hand on Sasuke's shoulder and let out a tired sigh. "You have a choice to make, Sasuke. And quickly."
Iruka nodded and Kakashi took his hand off of Sasuke. "We'll see you tomorrow." The two of them left to head back to the castle as well.
Naruto and Sasuke were left alone in the field. Sasuke had his back to the blonde and Naruto was still fuming, glaring daggers at the back of Sasuke's head with his arms still crossed. Sasuke turned his head to the side, looking over his shoulder at Naruto. "You know, I only said that to get on my father's good side."
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Yeah, alright." He uncrossed his arms and made his way to Sasuke, forcing the raven to meet his angered gaze. "You better be telling the truth, or else, you'll regret it." He made sure Sasuke got the message before finally making his own way back to the castle.
Kyuubi easily caught up to Itachi and soon the pair were making their way to Itachi's room. Once inside, Itachi closed the door and Kyuubi made his way inside, looking around. "Hey," he quietly asked, feeling the fabric of the chair that was placed close to the large bed. "How does it feel to have control like that? Over a demon?"
Itachi regarded Kyuubi with a thoughtful look before turning away. "I don't really have any feelings about it. I don't get an ego boost or a sense of power like my father would, but I don't necessarily feel guilty about it either."
Kyuubi hummed in response. "I wonder what it would feel like to have no control." He mumbled more to himself.
Itachi gave him a smirk, a glint of lust flashing in his eyes. "Would you like to know how it would feel?" His tone was sultry.
A sudden feeling of shyness overcame the red-head and he began to blush, feeling nervous. He glanced at Itachi but couldn't keep his eyes on those dark, onyx eyes. "I-i don't know."
Without a word, Itachi walked up to Kyuubi and gently began to push him backwards towards the bed until the back of his knees hit the edge. Kyuubi let out a small squeak as he fell, landing on the mattress with an 'oof'. Slowly, Itachi crawled on top of him, trailing his fingers lightly over Kyuubi's skin. "I promise, it'll feel good."
Itachi brushed over a particularly sensitive spot along Kyuubi's thigh, eliciting a small moan from the red-head's lips. "O-okay" He agreed.
Itachi activated his sharingan eagerly and smirked down at the red-head beneath him.
Caught in Itachi's gaze, Kyuubi felt himself unable to move, time seeming to slow drastically. All he could focus on were those crimson red eyes. A choked moan came out of his mouth as he suddenly felt immense pleasure.
Itachi was drawing slow, sensual circles on Kyuubi's chest, enjoying the helpless moans coming from the man below him. He could do this all night.
Just as Itachi was about to make a bolder move, the door to the room burst open, and Iruka stood in the doorway. "Kyuubi, are you okay it sounds like you're being-" he froze as he saw the scene in front of him.
Itachi turned to Iruka, breaking Kyuubi out of the sharingan's hold. At the sight of the sharingan, Iruka's eyes widened. "Kyuubi! What is he doing to you?! Are you hurt!"
Kyuubi mentally rolled his eyes, frowning at the brunette who was having a panic attack in front of them. "Iruka! It's okay, Itachi was just-"
"Let's go, Kyuubi!" Iruka grabbed Kyuubi's wrist tightly and began to drag the redhead out of the room. "You don't need to be treated like this!"
Before boeing removed from the room completely, Kyuubi gave Itachi a sheepish look, mouthing an apology as he was finally dragged out the room.
Kakashi walked into the room shortly after the fiasco. He studied Itachi who looked pissed off and frustrated. He smiled at the elder Uchiha.
Itachi scowled. "Don't you have any control over your mate?"
Kakashi shrugged. "Not all of us have a sharingan like you." He gave him a smirk to which Itachi responded with a roll of his eyes.
"Do you even know what Iruka's true intentions are? Does he not want this prophecy to come true?"
Kakashi stood up straighter, all mirth and amusement replaced with a serious look. "I have no doubts about Iruka's intentions. He is just overprotective and wants Kyuubi to be safe. It has nothing to do with the prophecy but more like a parent with their child." He paused before giving Itachi a playful smile. "Don't take it personally." He then turned and left, leaving Itachi alone to think on the silver-haired man's words.
The door to Iruka and Kyuubi's room slammed closed as Iruka finally managed to drag Kyuubi away from the "evil Uchiha's sharingan ways", as Iruka so kindly put it.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Kyuubi screamed out, glaring at Iruka and crossing his arms over his chest.
"He was using his sharingan on you, Kyuubi." Iruka gave him a concerned frown. "Do you really want that in your life?"
Kyuubi's look of anger turned into one of confusion. "Of course."
Iruka's frown seemed to deepen. "Well, I heard you in pain, and when I came in, Itachi was using his sharingan on you." He shook his head. "I don't want you to be forced to do this."
Kyuubi froze at Iruka's words before his face turned bright red. "Um, I uh, wanted to be hypnotized by Itachi."
Iruka scrunched his nose in confusion as Kyuubi stayed silent, not elaborating more on the subject. "Why would you want to be hypnotized?"
Kyuubi's face just turned redder. "W-well, I wanted to know wh-what it felt like." He felt himself get more nervous the more he talked about it. "A-and Itachi was already making me feel good beforehand, and when he used the sha-sharingan, it felt even better."
Iruka began to blush the more Kyuubi explained himself. "O-oh." He finally managed to stutter out. The two were silent until they both began to laugh at the awkwardness, finally understanding each other.
Nightfall had Naruto curled up in his fox form, back in the cage again. He was fast asleep, managing to fall asleep without any argument with the raven haired boy. Which he was grateful for.
He managed to sleep for about three hours before he was awakened by the sounds of Sasuke having a nightmare, low groans and whines reaching his sensitive ears. They twitched in annoyance as he huffed loudly, hoping to ignore him and fall back asleep shortly.
A loud, sharp, and piercing scream had him alert. Before he could even think, he was at the side of Sasuke's bed in an instant, already transformed into a human. With wide, searching eyes. He let out a breath of relief as he saw nothing was wrong with the raven and he gently placed his hand on the pale forehead.
At the touch, onyx eyes sprung open, complete terror showing in those wide eyes. He began to breathe heavily, staring into Naruto's eyes, searching.
Without a word, Naruto understood and gave a slight nod. He then slowly climbed into the bed next to Sasuke. He lied down, close to the raven and gently pulled him to his chest, encircling the Uchiha.
Sasuke turns in the blonde's grip, so they were face to face. He encircled his own arms around Naruto and began to take in deep breaths, calming himself.
After a short while, Sasuke pulled him away, staring into Naruto's cerulean eyes. "Thank you." He leaned forward, closing his eyes and pressed his lips against Naruto's.
Naruto's eyes widened in shock before they quickly closed and he began to kiss the raven back, deepening the kiss.
They pulled away from each other, reluctantly, gazing into each other's eyes, half lidded. Sasuke pulled Naruto closer to him once again and the two fell asleep in each other's arms.
